The Rain-Bringers

Bryce surveyed the rows of corn before him. He held out a paw and ran it along one of the stalks. The ground was hard and dry. Kicking the dirt with a booted foot, he wondered to himself how much longer it might take to get some rain.

He knew that if nothing changed, his crop would wither and eventually die. Bryce sighed. Irrigation couldn't help him, not when the canals were all dry as well. Dust blew in on the wind and smothered everything like a sandstorm did. The sun beat down. He and everyone else in his part of the prairie was in dire straits.

Bryce was a white lion. He wore jeans but no shirt. He didn't own the cornfield. Instead, he worked it for his senior year summer job. After a month and a half of plowing, sowing, watering, fixing, painting, and anything else the owner wanted him to do, Bryce had earned himself a chiseled chest to go along with his lustrous fur. He kept part of his mane tied up in a little ponytail with a rubber band.

If anything, that would be all the pay he ever needed for this job. It made up for the fact that he had to wear glasses. Round ones with steel rims that made him look like a dork.

As he kept walking down the narrow row, Bryce spotted someone. It was the farm owner's son, a brown bear named Tim. Tim was slightly younger than Bryce was and a little bit overweight, but not remarkably so. He wore overalls.

"Hey," Bryce said, trying to sound upbeat. Tim was examining the soil and he was not happy about what he was seeing.

"Hey," Tim replied. "I give us two weeks before the crop fails," he said gloomily.

"How can you tell?" Bryce asked, curious. Tim never talked much and it was rare he and Bryce were ever alone together.

"My grandfather was a diviner. He had a gift. Could find water in the Sahara if he had to. Before he died, he told me everything he knew. Said I had the gift too, but my Dad didn't. He taught me a lot."

"Oh?"

Tim looked at Bryce even more worried than he'd been before. "Don't tell Dad I told you. He hates it when I talk about Granddad."

"Why?"

"Long story. But the short of it is Granddad was also a shaman, a mystic, as well as a diviner. Dad only believes in what he can see. Me, whatever works, works."

"That's really cool," Bryce said, telling the truth. "My Granddad was a tax accountant. My family's kind of boring."

"Granddad gave left me all he had. Not very much - about two grand and an orange 1976 Cadillac Eldorado. He also left me all his journals and notes about what he did and how he did it. Rituals, spells, that kind of thing."

"Hmm," Bryce said, "did he know how to get us some rain."

"That and about a million other things. Made me memorize all these crazy chants and ceremonies. Said some of them went back as far as Mesopotamia and ancient Egypt. If we don't get some water soon, the whole town will go under: you, me, and everyone else. Crops have failed twice in a row. I figure we need a fertility ritual. A rain dance isn't enough."

Bryce chuckled and laughed. "What? A rain dance?"

"I said he taught me everything he knew, okay? No harm in trying. Besides, I've seen it work."

"Seen it?"

"Oh, yeah. People paid Granddad to do this thing. Took me along a few times to show me how it worked. I've been practicing in secret, trying to get better. If Dad finds out, he'll kill me."

Tim always seemed distant. He talked like he was reading off a script, almost as if he were bored with everything around him. Bryce had to lean in in order to hear what he was saying since he talked almost in a whisper.

Bryce decided to try getting to know Tim as best he could. And he really was interested in the mystic business Tim talked about. It was something he'd only ever seen before in the movies.

"I'd like to see that," Bryce offered.

Tim brightened up a little. "Great," he said. "This one thing I have in mind needs two to do properly. Come with me."

Tim practically dragged Bryce out of the cornfield and into the barn. Outside, the barn was painted a sun-faded navy blue - definitely a little more original than just red. It looked like it was just about to fall over, which must have been why it was empty.

Bryce was led up a creaky ladder to the loft. Tim had set up his own little corner of the world there. It had a table, some soft hay bales and blankets for napping on, lots of books, a lantern, and an old trunk.

"So this is where you've been all summer," Bryce observed. "In hiding."

"Yeah. It's really sweet. No one knows I've got this place here. No one."

"Show me this fertility ritual thing."

Tim opened up the trunk and pulled out a dusty old book. He flipped through the yellowed pages until he found what he was looking for. "Here. It's very simple, but it has to be done in a specific sequence."

"And?"

"We have to be on the ground."

Tim climbed down from the loft. Using a stick he found lying around he marked an 'X' roughly in the earth about in the middle of the barn. "This is where the dragon lines intersect," explained. "The qi is good here."

"Uh, right. Okay."

"Sit down on the floor in front of the X. Spread your legs like you're doing stretches."

Bryce suppressed giggled a little and did as he was told. He had nothing better to do. There were no other jobs to be done. So why not just go along and see what happens? Boredom tended to do strange things.

Tim sat down across from Bryce in the same position. He took the top of his overalls off off and let it fall down in front of him. It was then that Bryce came to the realization of what might happen next. The look on Tim's face as well as his body language all read 'Sex!' and there was no denying it. Bryce's cock quivered enthusiastically in his pants as the thought crossed his mind.

"Good," Tim said when he saw that Bryce was eager to continue. "Take your cock out of your pants."

"Yes, sir," Bryce replied. He unzipped his fly and pulled his cock out of his boxers, holding his stiff, warm member for Tim to see. The organ was of average length and thickness, not very remarkable at all.

Tim pulled out his own cock and again held it out. "We have to seed the earth," Tim explained. "Jerk off, but we have to do it together. Start slow."

Bryce started stroking himself with his right paw. As he did, Tim began too. The bear kept pace as best he could, mirroring Bryce's actions reasonably well. Bryce closed his eyes and let his mind move to a more private place.

Hearing Tim's loud grunts and pants was when Bryce really started to get into the act. Although Bryce did wonder to himself whether anyone could hear all the noise Tim was making, he kept going. The sensations in his cock moved from tingle to pleasure, to just below climax.

"Stop!" Tim shouted all of a sudden.

Bryce nearly jumped in surprise. It ruined his concentration. Breathing hard, he tried to regain his composure.

"Not so fast," Tim said.

"What?"

"There's another part to this. Come closer."

Bryce moved closer to Tim and waited for instructions. Both their cocks were dripping precum. Clearly, intended to spice things up, a little.

"Now move closer so our cocks are right up against each other," Tim told Bryce.

Bryce did this. It felt strange being with his legs wrapped around someone else's torso. He'd had sex with other guys many times before, but having his cock hard and back-to-back with another's and stroking both of them was something he'd never done before. Regardless, he liked it.

"Stroke us both," Tim continued.

Bryce eagerly wrapped a paw around his shaft and Tim's. He began stroking. Tim had a determined look on his face, as he was going to show he wasn't a wuss no matter what. Even though he was doing all the work, Bryce also tried to relax and just enjoy the experience.

It didn't take long at all to reach climax. Huffing and puffing as he worked his and Tim's meat as best he could, Bryce shot his cum straight up into the air. Tim quickly followed and for a few seconds the two were shooting two fountains of semen in parallel jets.

As the semen they'd produced soaked into the dirt, Bryce pulled his pants back on and sat up. Tim stood up after putting his overalls back on and looked at him with an evil and satisfied smirk on his face. "What's up?" Bryce asked.

"I can't believe you bought it," Tim replied. "I made that ritual bullshit up so you'd have sex with me."

"What?"

"You heard me."

"I'll tell your Dad."

Tim laughed. "He knows I'm gay. In fact, he cheats on his own wife with other guys. Likes it both ways, he does."

"So you didn't have a Granddad?"

"I did, but he wasn't no diviner. Though yes, he did give me the car."

"So what?" Bryce replied. "I went along with it because I kind of like you. And I was horny, a little. Well, more than a little. Any excuse to screw around is alright with me."

"What's wrong?" Tim asked.

"Listen," Bryce said as he opened the barn door and went outside.

Out in the open, Bryce stuck a paw out as if to check the direction of the wind. He felt a few droplets land on his fingers and palm. Looking up, he saw the sky had grown very dark and ominous with angry clouds.

When Tim joined him, the bear asked, "What's going on?"

"Storm's coming. Wasn't there a few minutes ago. Do you think what we did-"

"Could be," Tim said, returning to his original distant self. "It's always possible, but we'll never know for sure. It's a mystery."

As soon as the words were out of Tim's mouth, the rain started to pick up. It covered everything in all directions, soaking both Bryce and Tim. The two ran from the barn over to the farmhouse as fast as they could, eager to dry off.

The End
