Here's Chapter 3 of my story "Star Spots"

Recap:

Shadow returns home to a shocking newscast and more stuff happens! I can't reveal anymore as I don't want to spoil it.

I soon returned back to my apartment, but stayed in my Lamborghini as I was lost in thought. I was appalled at how Sissy reacted to me coming out of the closet. How could she hurt me like that? How could she wind up be so homophobic? For a minute, I thought I screwed everything up, but I quickly shook that thought away as it was clear: It was all Sissy's fault! Had she not become a time bomb, none of this would've happened.

I soon opened the car doors and got out, walked to my apartment door, unlocked it, and entered inside. Closing the door behind me, I sat down on my sofa and grabbed the remote off from the dining room table. I peered over to the kitchen clock and saw that the time read six thirty-five P.M. "Wow, it's evening already? Where does the time fly?" I asked myself, turning on the TV and switched to the evening news. They were doing a breaking news story of a shooting that happened almost three hours ago.

"It's been chaos ever since the victim Joaquin Hernandez, a red and white foxsky, was pronounced dead at the scene." a newscaster said. "For all of our viewers who are just tuning in, a terrible fatal shooting has taken place in our community of Stormbridge." "Police had identified the suspect as thirty-one year-old Alvin Richman." he went on. "He was described as being a grey wolf, wearing nothing but worn overalls, has a grey scar over his right eye, pitch black hair, and green eyes." After that, a replay of the shooting caught on tape was shown.

The tape depicted of Hernandez heading home from a long, backbreaking day of work as a construction worker. He was minding his own business when Richman drove up to him in a blue-green pick-up truck. Blocking his way, it was shown the grey wolf got out of the vehicle and began taunting poor Joaquin. Hernandez took off running, but didn't get far as Richman tackled him down; making him hit concrete face-first. Using all of his might, the foxsky pushed the wolf off from him. Growling, Richman grabbed Hernandez by his plaid shirt and hoisted him up. He then proceeded to beat him mercilessly. It all ended when Hernandez pushed him off one final time and kneed him in the groin. Richman then pulled out a Derringer gun as he got back on his footpaws and shot Joaquin point-blank in the head. Hernandez died instantly.

"As you viewers can see, the video proved that incidents like this doesn't go unpunished. It has been reported that Richman is charged with voluntary manslaughter along with second-degree murder." the newscaster went on. "He is held at the Orange County jail with a five hundred thousand dollar bail. "His trial is set for February 2015."

I clicked the TV off. Disgusted with this newscast, I fisted my handpaws together; I groaned."What the hell is going on with this world? This Richman fellow killed a fellow fur just for the enjoyment of killing. It's ridiculous!" I then rubbed my temples, trying to calm down.

"Well, I better fix me up something to eat." I said, after I heard my stomach growl. After a rousing thought of deciding whether to go out or making a home-cooked meal for dinner, I came with the conclusion of staying home.

Walking to the kitchen, I opened the freezer to see what I could cook. All that was there were lamb chops I bought at the butcher shop last week, three boxes of frozen Pepperoni pizzas, corn dogs, and a lot of other stuff that needs to be eaten.

"On second thought, maybe I should go out." I said, getting a second thought. I didn't want to go to bed hungry and I still had a good wad of cash on me. The only problem standing in my way was choosing which restaurant to go to: a fast-food establishment or a sit-down one.

Luckily, I got an idea. I quickly got my wallet and the keys to the car and my apartment. Heading out to the car, I got in and made myself comfortable. I then started the car, backed out of the driveway, and drove off to where my car took me.
