Second in my list of Picture to Story series.

This time featuring : http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14599773/

Artist : http://www.furaffinity.net/user/littleraccoondemon

This one was fun to do as it allowed me to tap into a bit of my own personal emotion and how I regard the harsh realities of the poke'mon world.

It has also brought out my desires to create a Poke'mon Fanfic Novel series. So I look forward to doing that ^^

Gotta Catch a Bear! -Gift Story- by Xinnova

The Pokemon World, vibrant, exotic and alive. Having an overabundance of life about it's lands that none could truly comprehend just how hard it would be to become a true master. Many destined to 'Catch them all' but it wasn't a task taken on lightly. Having to travel to some exotic places and deal with the harshest of terrain in order to obtain the rarest of Pokemon creatures. Bear, our loveable and cute trainer was one such person.

Aiming to catch all the pokemon she could to gather as many new friends as possible. Not for the sake of battling them, no, she just wished to attain new friends to be around and this made her quite the unique character herself. Many often joked and made fun of our poor trainer as her goals just seemed to silly to contemplate. But, for our sweet cookie coon it didn't matter how mean people were to her. She still wanted to befriend them all in her own kind hearted way.

This overflowing kindness is what brought our trainer to the thickest forests in the world, going deep into the jungle alone was just something Bear enjoyed. Having made such forests her home in the past it just felt natural to her. Soft brown fur was spotted with pink and purples dots that made her quite the exotic creature herself. Tail swishing behind her as she walked, wearing simply a pair of grey pants and a purple T. She paced herself, delighted by the sun on her precious face and the wind as it swept past her ears.

It was a good day for her to train and make new friends, one such friend was relatively new to her. Having received a gift from a friend during one of their trades, she didn't even have a chance to release it yet to figure out just what it was. She knew the dangers of certain pokemon, how they would sometimes react in a hostile manner according to how they were claimed. Enslavement was the key to a trainers success, it saddened her to think that many didn't show the love and care that these animals deserved.

With a huge smile on her face and a hum in her voice, Bear pulled the shrunken poke'ball from her hand and tossed it in an open field. Giggling with excitement, unable to contain herself as she shouted out like a kid.

"Come on out! I choose you...~" She paused, eyes wide.

Before her was the most exotic, amazing, stupendous, marvelous, sleek, beautiful~

She nearly exploded with happiness as her mind just tried to wrap around what she saw. It was like a massive serpent but green like the grass it laid in. Having such an elegant look about its form that made it almost seem like a pretty princess in her eyes. hands grasping each other as she gave a soft squeal to herself at how lucky she was to have something so amazing. Blinking suddenly, a finger to her chin she glanced away as if lost in thought a moment. Something she was supposed to do when she was faced with a new Poke'mon.

As if a light bulb popped above her head, our young trainer pulled from her pocket a small red device. Hanging from it were small cute key chains of different pokemon, she couldn't believe that she nearly forgot the most important part next to training. While she worked her pokedex to see just what was before her. The large grass type serpent just eyes the candy coon with a bit of disbelief. How could someone so clumsy and mindless be the one that she now had to serve.

She was a rare creature even among her own kind, unable to understand how she was so easily captured and then traded... to such a lowly creature. Giving a soft huff in disbelief as the girl seemed to have the pokedex upside down wondering why it wouldn't read. With a heavy sigh, her tail tip moved to turn it around in Bear's hands as it read proper. Revealing to her the truth of just what she had.

"Serperior: Female... Beep, Bleep" It chimed on.

''It only gives its all against strong opponents who are not fazed by the glare from Serperior's noble eyes.'' The voice continued.

It continued to give her all the stats, one of which would reveal that only 12% of all Serperior caught in the wild were female and her's was indeed just that. Bear's eyes almost immediately began to sparkle, her face just glowing with glee as she put down the pokedex and began to walk towards her new pokemon. No signs of being a threat, she was just being who she was and the first thing she wanted to do.

The superior flinched back and coiled upon itself in defense, giving off a low threatening hiss. Bear could see into her eyes, the pain and the humiliated emotions that were stirring. How she was so defensive when the coon would approach, she was often brainless... but she knew wasn't without her moments. Hand slowly raising out towards the serpents body, she stood and barely inched forward while never letting her eyes leave the Serperior's own.

"You've been through a lot, haven't you?" She spoke gently, care and tenderness always present.

"You miss the forest, your friends and your family... Taken from them just to add to someone's collection. To fight, but, you don't want to fight at all do you?" She questioned, voice never faltering as she inched closer. Eyes showing true concern, the serpent seemed to notice that as its coils eased their tension.

"I don't want you to fight... A princess should never have to lower herself to such standards after all." She gave a rather goofy, yet heart warming smile up at the serperior.

Bear pressed forward, hand touching palm down on the body of the creature before her. She flinched and wanted to pull back, the hand gently just began to rub over her hide with the softest touch. The strange woman just stood there before her, standing in place and just rubbing with a soft coo sound. The woman obviously did care, she was showing nothing but kindness and the grass type really didn't have much of a choice. She was trapped to that pokeball, forced to serve whoever possessed it.

"I miss my family and friends too.." Bear broke the silence.

"Coming on this venture, I really just wanted to meet new people and make friends but I still miss the old ones back home. So I know what you're going through, but you aren't alone now." She continued as her other hand now rubbed softly against the serpents body. She noticed that the serperior didn't flinch at all this time. Their eyes seemed so softly gleam in the sunlight, neither blinking, the pokemon seemed to be judging Bear's words.

Could this girl be trusted? Would she really care for her and not force her to fight? Would she abuse her... She had such a floaty personality. It almost made the serpent smile, to see someone so friendly and happy. She wasn't just some simple animal, She had a personality... a mind of her own and she felt feelings. Finally, she blinked and looked away from Bear. The candy coons ears would perk as her whole body was sent into shock by what happened next.

"I want to see my family again..." Came a gentle, near broken voice.

Her pokemon spoke?! Oh how she was such a lucky trainer indeed, it almost made her do a backflip in joy. No one she had ever met had a Pokemon like this, one she could talk to and truly be friends with. When the serpent saw that silly mood over taking her new trainer she could help but give her a soft slap with the end of her tail and a huff. Sticking that head to the air as if she was offended by Bear's expression.

"Owe.. I'm sorry, I... I just haven't heard a pokemon speak before. I mean, I've heard of it happening but~"

"How often do you people even stop to talk to a pokemon, hmm?" She interrupted with a gentle sigh.

"I... Never..." She stuttered, finger going back to her chin and her gaze drifting to the sky.

That was the first time that Bear had ever actually stopped to think about such things. True, she enjoyed hugging and showing her pokemon affection but she never really stopped to just talk to them before. She began to pull out her other pokeballs and just stare at them now, could pokemon really talk? A grunt in front of her stirred her attention skyward.

"Sarcasm, Truly it is a marvel how someone like you now owns me... " The Serperior scoffed rudely.

"Hey, I don't own you... I just..." Her mind drifted again in realization. Ears drooping.

At this moment, the grass type had her own enlightened moment about the girl before her. Was she really just now realizing how the world really worked? It was almost adorable, how pathetic and simple she seemed. The serperior almost felt pity for her new trainer, the evils of their world slowly crashing down around her.

"Listen.. Child, I~"

"You're wrong..." Bear chimed in to keep her from saying more.

Her head was lowered, ears had all but fallen down completely and the sounds of soft sniffling could be heard. Was she crying? Did she... truly care that deeply?

"You're my friend, I mean... we just met, but, you're my friend and I don't own those..." She retaliated with a quick lift of her head and stared straight into the serpents eyes, no signs of fear but pure determination.

That spark within the girl brought out a warm, intense feeling deep inside of her. Piercing through all doubt and hatred that she had for trainers and their brutal ways. This girl was so small, so frail and yet she seemed like she was ready to take on the world to protect those she cared about. Her coils found themselves slowly beginning to wrap around at her feet, moving up her body but she didn't move or quiver in fear.

"We'll find your family, your friends, everyone. I promise, I will be here and I will protect you!" She called out, the serperior didn't need to hear it though.

Her coils were now fully surrounding the candy coon in a firm embrace. Showing her that she did care too, the coils didn't constrict enough to do harm but enough to hold her. She began to wipe away the tears and the serpent felt the urge, to let her be closer to her.

"You don't have to be strong for me, let me protect you... My friend." She spoke with a tone like a mother.

Without a chance to reply, those coils would turn tight and proceed to lift the coon bear from the ground. Arms pinned to her side as she stared up with a blank expression, not showing any fear as the large jaws opening frighteningly wide. The pulsing flesh and dripping saliva revealed that the creature had been hungry. Before Bear could ask if she wanted a berry or cupcake the jaws closed gracefully around her whole head and quickly began to crawl downward.

Her body squirmed but she didn't scream out, unsure if this would be the end or if the pokemon was being playful. Bear put her trust in the second as she gave a soft kiss to the back of the serpents throat as it expanded around her head. A sickening pop could be heard as she seemed to dislocate her jaws to take in Bears shoulders and upper body. She was eating her, yet Bear was calm, more so embarrassed at being made into food and wondering what she did to deserve this.

Bear was forced deeper into her new pokemon, pressed against the tight pulsating flesh as it continued to consume her. Doubt began to run through her mind, fearing that what this creature wished of her was to be nutrients. The serperior had been mistreated, taken from everything she knew, Bear couldn't help but understand those feelings. She didn't blame the serpent for what she wished to do in order to be free.

A soft thump-thump filled her ears, having traveled steadily deeper into the grass type and finding no end to the warm, moist flesh. Like a meaty cocoon, she would find that her body would easily be stored within it. With only her legs left to kick feebly outside of her great maw; soon to follow the rest of the cookie coons body. It felt so hot, the inside of the beast constricted and squeezed around her form.

Outside, just as her lips would finally seal around the feet of the coon bear woman. She began to think about what was said, how the woman had treated her and the things that she did. She was so gentle and innocent to the world, how things really worked wasn't how she wanted them to be. With a heavy gulp, the serperior gazed down at the large lump as it rolled slowly into her coils. Her soft eyes glistened as she stared up at the beautiful sky.

Coils began to curl around the lump of woman inside of her and gently constrict to embrace her within. The woman wanted to be her friend, but, could she really be trusted? Eating her would be easy, digest, then run off to find her own family and friends. Her mind raced through the concepts of what it would be like, to endure trainers trying to catch her to fight. There was no choice, she needed this friend...

"Friends do not eat friends. It's something my mother taught me." She spoke so sweetly down to the lump.

"I shall not digest you, you shall be freed but I will enjoy this feeling for a bit longer if you don't mind." She continued with a pleasant hiss.

She would accept this girl, she would protect this girl and they will find what they both wanted in this world.
