Little down the winter pass Rose opens her mouth and out spills Star. Star starts to shiver in the cold air as he looks around and wonders where he is and why he is not dead. Rose drops A jacket on to Star and says "quickly bundle up little one. Then get on my back we have much distance to travel before you are safe."

Sky looks over to Jack wondering how we going to defeat these demons. Jack pulls his rifle checks the chamber and slides his muzzle suppressor on. The entrance to the winter pass is not tolerant to loud noises. Jack knows this and the muzzle report of a 338 Laputa magnum is not a sound that winter pass would tolerate. Jack shoulders his rifle looks through the scope demon head in his crosshairs, Jack's strokes the trigger. The demons behind his target get sprayed with brain matter and bone chips, the one behind them clutches a Eye and slowly kneels as dark blood pours from its cupped hands. This goes on for a few minutes as the demons try to get closer the numbers going down in ones or twos to the fire of Jack's rifle. When the demons get within 20 yards Jack shoulders his rifle again on it sling, he draws his swords and gives in to his battle fury. Each stroke either wounds or kills the demon out right, there barely able to touch him, though Sky and Mark do not have his advantages. One of Mark's paws takes a gash to it from him stomping on one of the demons. Jack orders Mark to back guard. Sky also gets some injuries to him that concerns Jack. A claw strike to sky's right arm another claw strike that shaves skies ear causing it to fold. Tells Jack that discretion would be better. Jack gives the orders Mark grabs Sky.
Jack covers their withdrawal.

Star is sitting behind Jack on top of Rose. Jack has just told Star will be three days of travel in winter pass before they get to a tavern that is the only safe spot in winter pass to camp safely.
A loud sound causes Jack and Star to turn a look down the path. The demons seem to have brought up their numbers again. Sky is startled when Jack reaches into his bag of tricks and pulls out a new rifle it's simpler than a rifle that is currently in a quiver on Rose's the saddle. Though the bore of it to Star seems monstrously big. The back of Jack's hand presses on to Stars shoulder. Jack says to star. "Don't mind if the hand moves a little bit I just need some extra support and cover your ears." Star quickly puts his hands to his ears in a loud sound like thunder erupts from the bore of Jack's rifle. Closely followed by continuous rumbling from the mountain peaks above them. Mark and Rose make a hasty Sprint which allows some to just get clear of the avalanche, the demons are swept away the pass is blocked till spring. An hour down the path Jack calls a halt.
"We'll set up camp here should be good for a night." Jack looks to Sky and tells him. "I need to talk to someone important that won't wait any longer. I hope you can hold the fort till I get back. That said no pranks, no gags, no tricks or hitting." Star wonders what does Jack mean by that. Jack moves closer to Star. "Star Sky is going to be watching over you during the night until I return." With that Jack walks away from the campfire and fades completely from view. Star looks over at Sky to ask Sky how Jack was able to disappear without even disturbing a Bush or plant. Sky plants a knowing smirk on his face. That implies. I'm not going to tell you.
Meanwhile on the northern continent
Lady Sasha second-in-command to Jack in force seven.
Is listening to one of her informants explain some of the information that he has relayed to others in the net. Lady Sasha has heard rumors that Jack has risen his bounty worth. To the federation of cougars Jack is now worth an extra 50,000 gold pieces. So now Jack's bounty is 100,000 platinum piece is and 50,000 gold pieces. All this because one Lady cougar patron has gotten information about a missing slave otter that was seen in Jack's company. Informant tells Lady Sasha "you might want to tell your boss that if he comes to the northern or Eastern continent. He should do so under heavy concealment. For many would love to collect on his bounty and they would not be put out with collateral damage." Lady Sasha hands her informant a bag that holds silver coins.
"Thanks for the tip."
To the informants great surprise lady Sasha disappears right in front of him, as if she was not even there. He says to himself. One day Force seven you will have to tell me how you guys do that.
