#1 of Unusual Love

efore we begin, I'd like to say thank you for considering this as decent reading material. Sure, my grammar may be terrible but it's cool. This is my first attempt at any sort of writing. And hey, If I get enough positive reviews, I'll probably continue this story. This part is about a young catgirl in high school who falls in love with an outcast. Enjoy.

Lucy was quite the popular catgirl. Everywhere she went she was complemented on her looks. Her solid white coat was always bright and her tail was soft and smooth. At 5ft. 2in., Lucy wasn't the tallest girl in school but she never let it get to her. She had a lot of close friends and they talked just about every waking second. Just about every guy she met tried to ask her out on a date but she politely refused each one. This was because she had a crush on someone already. No one could guess who it was, because everyone had asked her out. Except one boy in her class...

It started as most days did, the annoying bell, the crackling announcements, random guys asking her out. nothing new. Then algebra 2 came along. Although she was good at hiding it, math was Lucy's weak point. she wouldn't even share her grades with her friends, for fear they would call her stupid. Unfortunately, the class started a new topic today. Lucy freaked out on the inside. She thought about a million different ways of getting out of class. Nurse's office happened to be the best option. But she couldn't go through with it. Just like every other time she wanted to run away from math, one thing kept her in. The boy she liked sat right next to her.

Even though there was always some animosity between humans and the anthropic, he was always kind to everyone he met. While not as attractive as some of the jocks, his personality made up for it, at least for Lucy it did. He had a habit of pointing out the teacher's mistakes whenever he could, he told Lucy it was because he needed to do something to stay awake. Lucy always let out a giggle. He would often go out of his way to help anyone who asked him, even if they made fun of him. Lucy never quite understood why, since he was the one helping them.

Curiosity got the best of her and at lunch she decided to ask her friends a question, "Why do people joke about Sam?"

"You don't know?" replied one of her friends, "'cause he's a freak. He sits by himself, he has no friends, he's a total geek, he writes in his book every day instead of eating lunch, the list goes on and on. Why? Did he say something to you?"

"No-no-no-no-no... uh... I was just curious" Lucy retorted without delay.

"Good, he's probably dangerous so stay away from him... damn freak..."

Lucy knew this was all a rumor. She had seen the good things he had done inside and outside of school. He would help people with their groceries, hold open doors, play sports with other kids, even babysit when asked to. She once saw an actual geek ask him for computer help in the library. Sam happily obliged and fixed whatever was wrong with it. Of course, he also told the geek he was lucky he could fix it, that if it were any more complicated he would've been stumped.

The book he wrote in caught her attention more than anything else. What could he be writing everyday? Was it a poem? A love letter? Lucy had to find out. She went to look towards the table he sat at in lunch and jumped.

"You know, it's not very ladylike to talk about someone behind their back," Sam said in a cool, calm tone.

"Ahhhhhhh!" seemed to be the general response at the table.

Lucy calmed herself and asked," H-how did you hear us?"

In the same content tone, he replied," I have very good hearing, and besides, you were talking louder than everyone else in the room."

The girls were shocked. How could a human hear them? Even if they were the loudest, the entire room was loud. How could he-

"Here, you really know what I was writing, then take the book. Lucy can give it back during math." he said with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

After he went away, Lucy grabbed the book off of the table before the others could even look at it. She skimmed through what must have been 20 pages of his material before she looked up.

"Well, what's in it?" the girls asked inquisitively.

"Um... it's titled "My Theory of Existence", I think it's philosophy or something like it..." Lucy responded.

Lunch was over. Lucy's friends had different classes for the rest of the day, so it was up to her to fend of the guys. During study hall, she opened Sam's book again. What she hadn't told her friends was that there was much more than his Theory. He had all kinds of things written down. Designs for a game, some poetry ( I knew it ,she ought to herself), and various scribbles and things she couldn't understand. The more she read the more she began to realize that this is what went on inside his head. She knows why he acts the way he does. In a sense, part of him was now inside of her. Lucy felt a tingling sensation run up her spine and felt her tail harden up. Is this what it feels like to be in love?

Math class came around and Lucy wasted no time getting to her seat. Sam was already there, having never been late to a class. Lucy didn't know this, but as she went to sit down, she was hugging his book.

" I didn't think it was that good, " he said with a mocking voice.

" Um... h-here it is. J-just like I p-promised." she stuttered

Sam knew why, but didn't want to say anything. His gut feeling was usually right. "Thanks."

Lucy felt an anticipation build up inside her. She wanted to reach out and kiss him. She wanted to lay beside him in his bed. She wanted..... oh no she thought I'm going to explode. I need an excuse to talk to him. Anything at all-

Brriinnggg

" Um... Sam... I don't really understand this.." She said with some panic in her voice.

"Ok, uh, we could study after school or something." Sam replied, his shyness becoming more prevalent.

Lucy felt excitement well up inside her again, with the same tingling from before. She blurted out " Okay we'll study at my house meet me in front of the gym I'll be waiting ok bye bye."

Sam was bowled over by her energy. " Geez... talk about giving someone both barrels..."

So school came to an end and he met with Lucy outside of the gym. Before he could say anything she dragged him off into to woods. She kept saying it was a short cut. What was he going to do? Run away from her? No, he couldn't even imagine doing that. Besides, she looked happy. He didn't even mind her soft tail rubbing against him. After about thirty minutes or so, they arrived at Lucy's house. It was pretty large compared to most houses, with a big backyard to match. " Don't worry, my parents aren't home. No one will bother us." Lucy said with a smile.

They went inside and immediately Sam was dragged into her room. It had pink walls, a fluffy pink comforter on a fluffy pink bed. A pink laptop on a pink desk. A pink bookshelf, but oddly enough (comparatively speaking) no pink books. And on the ground was of course a pink shag carpet. Sam was just a tiny bit thrown off by the pink. What with the pink and the pink pink, but don't pink the pink pink...AAAGGGGHHHH. Lucy grew concerned when she saw the brain dead look on his face, but passed it off as just being shy.

"Come have a seat next to me on the bed. It's comfy so we won't hurt ourselves trying to study." Lucy said invitingly, with her tail wrapped around her body.

When Sam came over and sat down, Lucy lost control. Sam saw a look in her eyes of deep desire just before she pounced on him. " I love you" Lucy said over and over as she began to passionately kiss him.
