"Vff... F... For... For t... Thou Ih... Y.... Ye... Year... S... Ts..." There was a pause in it's static like speach, however it could still be heard faintly from deep within the structure. We started racing down the levels, trying to get to it as quickly as possible.

Then it's voice reverberatated though out the structure once again, this time smoother, but still grinding and gear like, "We dwell in this home... This SAFE haven... From your DEMON-like ways... ... It's here that your people will be crushed! Like ants... Under our feet."

"What." [Tristen]

"Dear god... It's speaking..." [Nemo]

"WE do not.... speaK... To you... YOU do not speak to us.... WE... DO... not speaK. YOU... however... SPEAK... And it's... DISTURBING..."

"Well your voice ain't so pretty either, bud!" [Dexter]

"We... have NO... Voice... MACHINEs.... Can replicate your communications... You... Aren't special... You... Aren't unique... WE... However... ARE."

Lights began to flicker and flash around us, and I felt myself suddenly jolted, and shaken. I looked around and found myself in a black chamber with the others.

"YOU... You cannot fathom our power. Our power is untouchable. It's undefeatable. Especially, by the likes, of YOU."

"Show yourself, and fight us like a man!" [Tristen]

"FIGHT?! Oh... I know how to fight... Your people... A people very similar... They teach us... They teach... ME..." Suddenly a massive, twelve foot tall creature stepped out of the shadow. It had six legs, and it had no head. Instead, it has a white panel where it's neck should be. The panel flickered bright, vibrant colors, and strange machines were built on it, that shook and rattled when the colors flashed, replicating sounds and patterns in it's false, anthran, voice.

Nemo latched on to my arm and wimpered, "That's it..."

"You... I know you..." It turned it's body to face me and something about the colors felt familiar.

"One... of your kind comes to us... IT... has two friends... They TEACH us war... Battle... Chaos. ... EVIL... They are. They know not what they are fighting. They know not what they are doing. They... are you..."

"What are you talking about? None of us understand you!" [Tristen]

"Understand? Here... You are not enabled... There... You are... And it is terrifying... Your people have weapons that control energy... Weapons that burn your flesh and melt your bone... Weapons that slice and dice... Weapons... That are not known here. I must kill you, so that world will not be there. That There is not there in the There that you are dead. I have been there-"

"Could you start naming these places? No one understands you!" [Abigail]

"It is the There that your people call Then. You move in three, we move in FOUR." Suddenly another creature came out of the dark to our left, identical to the other in a strange way. They spoke in unison. "Your kind move not like us. Your kind are weak. They are not us. They are not as us. They must die, for us."

"Four... I understand." [Me]

"What?" [Veronica]

"You guys have read the Time Machine, right?"

"I don't think these are the same creatures-" [Tristen]

"No, of course not. But these move on the fourth dimension. Think about it. Imagine a creature that can move freely in the fourth dimension." More creatures started lighting up their disks in the dark.

"We are constantly moving forward in time, so they see us constantly moving forward in the fourth dimension. They have to work to keep up with us because we're constantly moving to them!" About thirty of them were in the room now.

"So what? How does that-" [Nemo]

"So they don't have time, or at least our time. What we think of and call 'then', they call there, 'cause it's just movement to them!"

"Nothing can move freely in time-" [Dexter]

Suddenly a hundred voices were heard from the crowds of the monster, "AND THAT IS WHERE YOU ARE WRONG." Suddenly all but one vanished, and it was in a different place than before.

"WE... We choose to move... You... You do not... You must move... Half your energy is SPENT to it... There your people teach themselves to move differently. They know we can not keep up. They know it hurts... To move so much... It hurts them too... But they adapt to it. They move to it. It becomes natural to them to move so much and we can not keep up with it. So we make fortress. We build machine to create weapon. Weapon we can not fathom. Weapon that is your weapon in that other world. That world that does not exist if I kill you here."

"You don't know how time works! There aren't variables-" [Tristen]

"Time?! Time is five! Five is not for you! Stay away five! I will kill you before you get to five!"

"Will as in four, or will as in five?!" [Nemo]

Then Nemo did it. That one question made it think. Hundreds of them flooded the room. There was not sound, just light, blindingly bright flashes of multicolored lights.

"Nemo, what did you do?" [Veronica]

"I gave it a paradox. We perceive the fourth dimension as time, and it perceives the fifth dimension as time. If it uses past or future tense terms, which time frame does it mean?"

"Huh... Interesting." The creatures started going away. They started vanishing until none were left. Light began to return to the room and we found ourselves in the first chamber. The Chamber of the Falling Stars.

"So, is it over?" [Me]

"I guess so." [Dexter]

"No. It's not. Some animals are tricky. They play koi. They act innocent, dead, or harmless until ready to strike. Then their prey may ciese to exist." [Abigail]

"So it's just hiding?" [Nemo]

"Ex-"

The creature suddenly burst from the tunnel to the city, "I meant four! There is no stopping me now! I coexist with you on these four plains, and I'll use them to mutilate your corpses and disfigure your bodies!" It bolted full speed ahead at us, and all managed to jump out of the way. It slammed hard into a wall and we all rushed up to the surface.
