Secrets & Rivals

(Typhlosion's POV)

I fucking hate Serena. Ever since she joined us, she wouldn't leave Junior alone for even a second. When we entered Santalune forest, all they have been doing was talk about Kalos and Johto. I ignored what Serena said, but I heard everything Junior said. He was talking about how he met me, how powerful I am, and how much faith he had in me when we fought against the elite four. Ah memories. Sweet, Sweet, enjoyable memories. I glanced toward Junior to see him walking toward me. Before I can react, Junior placed his gloved paw on my head and he began petting me. Finally, he's petting me! I thought overjoyed. I began purring under his soft touch, causing him to chuckle softly.

"You really do like being pet. Maybe I should stop." He teased. "Don't. You. Dare." I growled which resulted in him flinching. Before I can say anything, Serena came back.

"Hey Junior and Typhlosion, we should get going. If we don't move then we'll have to set camp here and I don't want to be here any longer than we have to." She stated. Screw off, Serena. Can't you see he's petting me! I thought angrily. "Y-Yeah. We should get going. Come on Typhlosion, I'll pet you later." He said when he pulled his hand back and walked toward Serena. She has to leave and hopefully soon.

While we were walking through Santalune forest, I noticed there were a lack of pokemon and trainers. Only a handful of bug types decided to attack us, but I spooked them away with my flames. The further we traveled less and less Pokemon attempted to get close. Junior and Serena must've notice this because they began looking around frantically.

"This is weird. Usually, Santalune forest is filled with pokemon. Something must be wrong." Serena stated. Suddenly an explosion was heard nearby along with someone screaming. Without hesitation, Junior ran through the trees which led into a hidden clearing. "Over here! Hurry!" He shouted.

"How did he know THAT was there?!" Serena exclaimed. Ignoring her question, I ran into the clearing following the hooded half-wolf. After 30 seconds of running, we stumbled upon a glade. The trees were scorched a dark black, the ground was missing huge chunks, and there were gigantic boulders scattered across the glade. In the middle of all this, was a boy around 15 being pinned down by a Tyranitar. A look of terror was clear on his face.

"Someone! HELP ME!" The boy yelled as loud as humanly possible. I heard a soft click from the pokeball Junior pulled out. The emotion of anger was deep in his eyes.

"We need your help, Lucario!" He said as he threw the ball into the air releasing a red light. The light began to form into a figure and after a second or two it revealed Lucario. He shook his head (probably to get rid of the headache) and he looked around slowly.

"Hey Junior. Hey Typhlosion. Hey look a Tyrani- Oh my God! It's crushing someone!" He exclaimed.

"Yeah, no shit jackal. Go save the poor kid!" I yelled. Lucario ran toward the rock type at a fast speed. He jumped into the air, while charging Aura Sphere. Junior swiped his paw abruptly to the left almost hitting Serena. So close! I thought bitter. Lucario released the ball of aura in sync with Junior's movements, making it blow up once it hit the Tyranitar. It growled at Lucario and it tried to attack him, but it kept missing. The Tyranitar charged a Hyper Beam, but before it can fire Lucario used Bone Rush to smack across it's face. While Lucario distracted the Tyranitar, Serena and I ran to save the boy. His red pokeball shirt was covered in dirt as well as his blue shorts. His blonde hair was choppy. He had bloody scrapes on his legs and arms and his green eyes were full of terror.

"What happened? Why did that pokemon attack you?" Serena asked. Her tone full of concern.

"I-I don't know. One minute we were training and then T-Tyranitar went into a frenzy out of nowhere." He said quietly. Behind us were the sounds of Lucario and Tyranitar battling. It was mostly.Lucario's Aura Spheres against Tyranitar's Hyper Beams but I ignored all of it. That is until I heard one thing in particular.

"Junior! LOOK OUT!" Lucario yelled. I turned around just in time to see a Hyper Beam almost hit him. He manages to Dodge it and it disintegrated the tree behind him in mere seconds. I stared at where the tree was seconds ago in astonishment. What would've happened if it hit Junior?! I thought with an image popping into my head of what could've happened.

My fear quickly vanished and left behind anger. I balled my paws into fists and turned toward the rock type. I felt a sudden energy building up inside me.

"How dare you try to hurt my FRIEND!" I growled. The power continued to grow until it took over my actions. I opened my mouth and a strange green light began to form. Everyone just stood still (even Tyranitar) waiting to see what would happen. Before the energy left me, Junior told me an attack.

"Typhlosion, use Solar Beam!" He commanded while throwing his arm into the air. The green beam shot toward Tyranitar at an amazingly fast speed. He didn't have any reaction time as it hit him square in his chest. It launched him back into a tree, knocking him out immediately.

When the Solar Beam vanished, it drained all my energy and my legs gave up on me as I fell forward from energy loss. I heard soft footsteps as someone began approaching me.

"You shouldn't waste all your energy trying to protect me..but I'm happy that you did. Thank you, Typhlosion." Junior said. He began petting me softly in affection. Even tho I was weak, I still purred under his touch.

"Anything for my mate." I whispered. He blushed a little from my remark. I swear he blushes too easily. Every time I say the word mate or love he blushes, but it's actually kinda adorable when he blushes because it proves he loves me.

"Typhlosion, can you walk?" Lucario asked. If I wasn't tired I would've set him ablaze because he surprised me. Without words, I stood up abruptly which resulted in me falling in a sitting position. A soft thud was heard from my fall. Junior helped me up, but I had to lean on him (which he didn't mind) for support.

"I guess I'll have to help you until we get to Santalune city. Just keep an arm around me to keep your balance....Oh and Serena can you help...that kid?" Junior asked innocently. I completely forgot about them! I glanced to my left to see Serena and the kid walking toward us. Tyranitar was gone so the boy must've returned him to his pokeball.

"So what's your name?" Serena asked the blonde kid.

"Axel. My name is Axel. What are yours?" He asked.

"Well I'm Serena and this is Junior." She gestured toward the hooded half-wolf. "Oh and he can talk to Pokemon so-"

"HOW CAN HE TALK TO POKEMON?!" Axel abruptly yelled. He looked at Junior with a questioning glance.

"I..well uh...I-I can't tell you because I p-promised someone I won't." He stuttered. He looked at me with a weak smile. "So how about w-we leave this forest? It's getting d-dark." I looked toward the sky to see the sun setting far in the distance. The clouds were glowing orange from the sun's light. It looks peaceful. I thought gleefully.

"We should, but after we battle Junior."

(Junior's POV)

"Battle? You're challenging me to a b-battle Axel?"

"Sure! I'd love to see how you and your team battle." He took out a pokeball from his bag and he tossed it up and down while waiting for a response. I'll have to use either Blaziken or Zoroark for the battle because they are the only two who can fight. I thought. Lucario already battled Tyranitar so he might need a rest. Of course, Typhlosion couldn't fight because he can't even stand without my assistance. After a few seconds, I made my decision.

"Ok, let's battle. Typhlosion, I'll set you down on this stump so you can watch the battle. Lucario and Serena, you guys can sit on the grass and watch also." I helped Typhlosion toward the stump and I set him down carefully. Serena and Lucario sat on the grass next to the stump. As everyone sat, Axel walked to the other side of the glade.

"Let's do this! Go Rhyperior!" He threw the pokeball into the air and the red beam revealed a big brownish pokemon. It had a horn on it's nose and one above it. It was covered in orange rocky plates and it had a club-like tail. There were blade-like spikes on it's elbows and had holes on it's palms. Also, it had two rectangular rocks above it's eyes, which resembled eyebrows. It roared as it fully emerged from the pokeball. It gave me a glare that sent a shiver down my spine. I reached for my belt and grabbed a pokeball.

"Come on out, Blaziken!" I threw the pokeball into the air and it released the red beam. It began to form a figure until Blaziken appeared ahead of me. He had a warming smile on his face.

"Hey Junior! What's up?" He asked with his tone full of excitement.

"Do you want to battle? It's your-"

"Yes! Finally, I can train!" He turned toward the Rhyperior and smirked.

"Rhyperior? Ok, I love a challenge!" He exclaimed happily. He took a fighting position and he gave me a confident glance. Just like Typhlosion, Blaziken trained everyday when we were at Johto to become stronger. He never gave up training even if I told him too. But I find it odd that he only trained when I'm was around him. I wonder why he only trains when I'm around?

I shook the thoughts out of my head so I could focus on the battle. Blaziken is at a disadvantage. I thought worriedly. But, we can use that against Rhyperior.

"I'll let you go first, Axel." I said.

"Ok but that was your mistake. Rhyperior, use Earthquake!" Axel commanded. Rhyperior stomped on the floor which caused the ground to shake violently. Parts of the ground began opening up and this caused Blaziken to lose his balance.

"Blaziken, jump into the air!" I yelled. After regained his footing, Blaziken jumped into the air with amazing height. He glared down at Rhyperior (Who was annoyed).

"Use Smack Down on Blaziken!" Axel said. Rhyperior shot a boulder at Blaziken with deadly accuracy and fast speed.

"Dodge it!" I yelled. Since Blaziken was in mid-air he couldn't move much, so the boulder hit him and he plummeted down to earth. He hit the floor with a loud crash and he was groaning as he got up painfully slow.

"Well THAT hurt like hell!" He exclaimed angrily. He took his fighting stance again after getting back up.

"Blaziken, can you still fight?"

"Of course! I can't disappoint you, and I never will." He confidently said while giving me a reassuring smile.

"Ok. You know what to do." He nodded in agreement and faced Rhyperior.

"Rhyperior, use Stone Edge!" Rhyperior nodded and the ground shook. Before we knew it, sharp rock pillars began to appear around Blaziken. It surrounded him until all he can see was the sky.

"Blaziken, jump into the air." I commanded. He proceeded to jump into the air just as he did before. Axel chuckled as Blaziken jumped into the sky.

"You really think that will work? He'll just get knocked down again." Axel shook his head slowly with distaste. "Well, if you wanted to lose this easily you should've just asked. Rhyperior, use Smack Down on Blaziken!" Rhyperior launched a boulder at Blaziken like before, but it was a larger boulder. Blaziken just stared at the huge rock as it hurtled toward him at amazing speed. Just a little longer, Blaziken. I thought. We only get one shot at this. As the boulder was about to hit Blaziken, I told him what to do.

"Kick it back!" I shouted. He immediately kicked the boulder with one leg which sent it back toward Rhyperior.

"Look out, Rhyperior!" Axel warned. Too late, Rhyperior's reflexes were too slow and he was hit in his chest. He stumbled back in pain which gave us our opportunity.

"Blaziken, quick use Double Kick!" He dove head first aiming at Rhyperior. When he was only a few seconds from hitting Rhyperior, he flipped so that his feet were aimed at him. Blaziken kicked Rhyperior's gut with his right leg with lots of force. Then, Blaziken front flipped over Rhyperior and back kicked his head sending him to the floor. A loud thud was echoing through the forest from Rhyperior's fall.

"Rhyperior, get up!" Axel said. Rhyperior began to slowly get up, but Blaziken kicked his gut again.

"Damn Blaziken calm down. He's down already so you don't need to keep kicking him." I stated. I glared at the fighting type.

"Sorry. My competitive side got to me!" He said. While he apologized, Axel ran toward Rhyperior. He went on a knee to check Rhyperior's condition. I walked toward Axel slowly as he returned Rhyperior back in his pokeball.

"Is he okay? I'm sorry if-"

"Don't be. It's my fault for challenging you." He looked up at the midday sky. "He should be fine by the way. I've seen him in worse conditions before. Also, thanks for the battle. It really was fun." He chuckled softly. He reached into his backpack and to pull out some money.

"Here, you've earned it."

"Thanks, but you can keep it. I normally don't take money from battles" I said happily. Axel had a slight shocked expression, but it changed into a slight smile.

"Wow...modest and nice. You really are The Champion of Johto. Usually, people take the money, talk crap, then leave, but you sure are different." He checked his watch and looked at the passage that led into the glade.

"I should get going. See ya!" And with that, Axel left the glade and went back to the main route. I heard footsteps approaching me and I turned to see Serena. She was helping Typhlosion walk toward me with Lucario close behind.

"Somebody wanted to talk to you!" She happily sang. She let Typhlosion go which led to him falling toward me. I fell back onto the soft grass with Typhlosion laying ontop of me grinning.

"That was a nice battle, but I could've done better." Typhlosion whispered boastfully. He attempted to kiss me, but I managed to push him off. He whined in sadness which made me feel guilty. How I hate making him sad.

"Serena, can you and Lucario wait at the entrance? I need to talk to Typhlosion."

"Ok. Come on Lucario." She gestured for the jackal to follow, which he did. Once they were gone, Blaziken walked toward me. His confused look was very noticeable.

"J-Junior? Do I go with them too?" He asked.

"No. You go into the pokeball. I can't have 3 of my 4 pokemon tired before we reach Santalune city. You and Zoroark might be the two I will need to battle the gym." I stated. Truth is that I don't want Blaziken overhearing my talk with Typhlosion. Things might be really awkward if they knew what was going on. Hopefully I don't have to tell them. I thought cautiously.

"Oh....ok. Well, don't keep me in that thing for too long. It's very cramped and stuffy." He glanced at the pokeball with a disgusted face. I clicked the white button on the ball and it absorbed Blaziken. I placed the pokeball on my belt then I turned toward Typhlosion. He was facing away from me with his arms crossed. He looked angry.

"Typhlosion? Are you mad at me?"

"No. Why would I be mad that my mate doesn't want to kiss me?" He sarcastically growled.

"Look I'm sorry, but I can't have the others know about our-"

"Why?! Are you embarrassed of me?"

"No! It's just that..." I stopped myself so I could collect my thoughts. After a minute, I restarted my sentence. "It's just that the others Can't know about us. It's not that I don't want to kiss you, but if we do then the others cannot be around." He didn't say anything as he stared off into the distance. Sighing, I sat down next to him.

"Typhlosion, please don't be mad at me! I'll do anything so you won't be mad!" I blurted out loud. His ears perked up and he slowly turned his head toward me. I felt my ears drop down on my skull in worry. Why did I say that? I thought. What is he going to make me do?

"Anything?" Typhlosion asked evilly. He looked at the setting sun then stared at me. "Can I have 2 things you can do?" Before I can reply, Typhlosion turned his body so that he was facing me. His face was only a few inches away from me. He reached for my hood and proceeded to slowly take it off.

"You won't need this right now. Also, I love seeing your soft silver fur." He said lustful. I stared at his red eyes in silence. Once my hood was off, my fur and muzzle were revealed along with my canine ears. I quickly looked away in shame, but Typhlosion cupped my cheek with his paw gently.

"No need to be sad. I'm not going to make you do anything you won't want to do." He said.

"It's not that Typhlosion. It's..I'm just thinking."

"About?"

"My...t-transformation." I said quietly. I lowered my head slowly with a tear falling. "Why was I transformed into this? What was the purpose? Will I ever be a human again? All of these questions are haunting me Typhlosion!" I yelled at the fire type. He looked at me in shock and worry.

"Junior, don't worry. You'll be human again soon. We will find a way. Plus, I like this new you. You're so..Fluffy." He said with a cute smile. He leaned toward me and pressed his lips against mine passionately. I blushed a light red. This surprised me at first, but I kissed back eventually. Typhlosion wrapped an arm around me so I couldn't pull away (but I didn't want to). Throughout the kiss, my body began to slowly heat up from Typhlosion's flames. After awhile, Typhlosion pulled away. A smile clear on his face.

"That is one of the two things you can do. I'll tell you the other one once we get to Santalune." He said sweetly. I blushed a deep red from his statement. Oh god! I thought. He really wants to be actual mates doesn't he? But, I have to wonder...who's going to be the t-.

"How's the mark?" Typhlosion asked, interrupting my thoughts.

"Uh." I took off my right glove and looked at the back of my hand. It was still there! On my hand, was a half sun and a half moon which formed into a weird circle hybrid. The sun had a closed eye whereas the moon had an opened eye. A shiver went down my spine from the creepy marking.

"Same weird marking...what does it mean?" I asked Typhlosion who just shrugged his shoulders. I turned my attention back to the mark in confusion. I stared at it for a couple minutes until I heard Serena.

"Hurry up, Junior!" She yelled. Typhlosion growled murderously when he heard her. I got up then I put my hood and right glove back on.

"Come on Typhlosion. Let's get to Santalune!" I exclaimed happily. I helped Typhlosion up (since he can't stand) and he wrapped his arm around me for support. We regrouped with Serena and Lucario as we left Santalune Forest.

*Meanwhile*

"Are you sure that's him?"

"Yes he's a halfwolf also his name is Junior. How can it not be him?"

"I don't know....he seems harmless."

"Well he hasn't found It yet."

"Then, why don't we kill him now?"

"Remember? We need to find the artifact and destroy it but only he can find it"

"How do we know he'll find it?

"Well, he is Electus."

"Right...Electus.....then when can we slaughter the teen?

"Once he gets to Lumiose city, he should find the artifact there then...we kill him for IT."
