#8 of Poke-Treat 2

Yep, been awhile since I posted for this series. I never truly wanted to take this long of a break, it just happened. Anyway, it's short. I recommend re-reading everything so you can remember the 'Who's Who' and whatnot's. Enjoy and hopefully I don't disappear again like the past year.

Sunset over the pond was awe inspiring. A pair of Lucarios sat watching it from the hillside where the rest of their party made camp. Lisa left her broach behind at her tent and the only Pokèball she had on her was the Druddigon charge she was trying to rehabilitate. She was leaning on her mate enjoying the evening as a typical Pokèmon instead of a Trainer. Neither said a word nor used their powers to communicate, silence was golden. As the last light faded behind the trees, they pressed their muzzles together in the form of the traditional Lucario clan kiss. Then they rose and Lisa donned her human attire once more before rejoining the camp.

"Draco, come out." Lisa called as they caught the first sign of the campfire. The signature red light formed the blue and red dragon. He huffed and flexed once he was free of the beam. "I figured you might want to get some fresh air. Come join the family and friends. Remember my rules?" "No harming anyone." "Good."

Draco fell in behind his rehabilitation Trainer and followed her to camp. He sat quietly when they arrived and stared at the fire. The Dragon barely moved from then on. Lisa removed her broach and attached it to the next day's shirt before finally settling down with the others.

"How was your date?" Todd asked with a smug smile. "Relaxing." Adrian stretched and fell lightly to stare up the dark sky. "I would recommend you and Macy head out, but I think she would kill us both if she could understand me." "Totally agree." "Just swear you won't tell her I think you two would make a good pair." "Dude, we are too young to even think about dating." "Right... you just mated with us for the experience." "I... uh..." "That is what I thought." "So. What's going on with the Dragon there? He looks like a hunk of rock." Adrian snorted as the human changed subjects. "He's attempting to change, so I am not going to jinx it on us." "I wonder if he has ever bred." "Why? Curious about mating with him?" "What!? No!" "Your Aura says different. You are curious. Go ask him, he might let you see it." Adrian chuckled, poking fun at the blushing boy. "Go on, just be careful." "You come with." "What? You are the one that's curious." "But you brought it up." Adrian sighed then stood up, "Let's do it then. I want to see you go through with this. See if you are male enough to see if you can even compare yourself to a bigger male. It is one thing to compare to one the same size, but to compare sizes with a bigger male takes nerve." Todd huffed as he got to his feet forcing the sleepy joints to move. "Fine." He moved slowly around the fire to the Dragon that was now staring at the two smaller males. "Hi there, um... I was wandering if you could show me what you... you look like... down there."

The Druddigon chuckled at the human as the pink skin turned red. The Dragon shifted and out from between his legs came a semi-prehensile tapered shaft. As he curled the tip to point it at the human, he sprayed a small bit of urine at the other two. The Dragon then pulled the shaft back into its slit and turned back to the fire with a grin. So he had other weapons against humans that they were willing to get hit by. If he played his cards right, he might even be able to use it properly. With a quick glance, the male Lucario had left to clean himself but the human was still staring.

"Drud?" "Oh, um... can I sit with you?" "Gon." The Dragon nodded and shifted enough to splay his legs to temp the human to ask for another look. "You're not as bad as Champions said you were. You just need to be out among others more."

The Dragon huffed and returned his attention to the flames. Todd drew closer to the male and eventually leaned against him. This startled the Druddigon and made him look at the human who was now yawning. He stared at the boy, watching him go to sleep. The act of this was quite foreign to Draco, he never seen a human so... willing to get close to him. He wanted to move, yet he could not bring himself to. He looked around for his Master, no... teacher-he reminded himself-to ask for help. Everyone seemed to have their backs to him, so he suffered silently. Lisa grinned as she watched events take place with her Aura sight, initially she wanted to beat her mate senseless for convincing Todd to go through such an act, but it did go where they both wanted. It was a start. Lisa came over only when Todd began to snore slightly then she carried him to his tent and put him to bed before returning to Draco.

"Good. You have just grown a bit. I will let you stay out of the ball tonight as long as you promise to keep the good behavior up." Draco nodded, "I will try." "Thank you. Now, if the boy asks you to... mate with him, please be gentle, humans are fragile." "They do break easily, this I know." "We are going to bed; you may keep the fire going if you wish, but put it out before you go to sleep." "Yes. That is logical."

Lisa eyed the Dragon for a moment before going to her tent. An hour later, all were asleep except for Draco. He continued to stare at the flames until a rustle on the path stole his attention. A lone figure came up to the fire and silently stared for a brief moment.

"I know who you are. Give this little memo to your mentor." "Drud?" "Do not bother yourself yet. I will be waiting in town."

Morning wake up came at first light when Draco paced noisily around the tents. Lisa rolled out of her tent and was greeted by the memo. She stood and stretched before looking at the paper:

The Victars of the main land have been watching you. We will meet with you in town.

"Interesting. I wonder if we've been followed." Draco shrugged and looked around. "One of the Birds, perhaps. Shall I investigate?" "No. We do not need blood in the air before we reach the Humans." "If you that is what you wish. Shall I pack up?" "Please."

Once that was done, Lisa recalled Draco and the others of her team. Macy and Todd did the same then they began to walk the quiet path down to the next town. They were silent during the walk. When they came to the sign saying they were entering the limits of Raising Heights. The sign had graffiti covering it. If it did not have the name carved into the old wood, they would not know what it was.

Todd huffed as he looked at the sign. "Not a good sign that we are in a friendly town." "We need to watch for criminal activity. We need to stay together and only split up if absolutely necessary." Lisa let a growl emphasize the need for raised senses.

It was not long until they saw a protest line outside a research center; the police were trying to push people back and were barely succeeding. As they approached, they heard Officer Jenny shout out for everyone to go home and that the archeological and fossil research would remain open. A Shadow Ball was thrown from a Pokèmon within the crowd at the building forcing the police to react. Teargas was thrown and pepper spray was utilized. People and Pokèmon screamed and started to run off chaotically. Macy clung to Lisa as people rushed by them. They stood still and let the people around them. Unfortunately, this also allowed the police to surround them and ordered them to the ground. Lisa quickly complied and told the other two to follow. They were taking into custody and dragged down to the station.

Thirty minutes later, they were separated. Lisa was thrown into a cage like a miscreant Pokèmon while Todd and Macy were cuffed to a bench. Lisa just sat still and watched the surroundings calmly. Another ten minutes passed before Jenny came into sight and released them.

"Many pardons. We did not know you had just come into town. The cameras secured your innocence." "May we go to the Center now?" Lisa asked which got a double take from Jenny. "Yeah, I'm that Lucario." "Actually, I was informed to direct you to the research center. I will have someone escort you for safety." "Um, okay." "Wait here."

They were soon escorted to the center and left to the people within, the building beheld a strange atmosphere. Almost like a hospital mixed with a school lab. They did not have to wait long before a staff member greeted them and directed them into the back. There they met a very plumb Pidgeot, it squawked as it turned to the guests.

"Hello." Lisa smiled. :Hello, Mrs. Parglouse. I see my human issued the note. I only use the common tongue to keep your humans from hearing what I say. There have been reports that similar attacks that happened to you have been happening across the globe. Apparently the lands that we do not inhabit are being invaded by the forces against Arceus. Humans are either being indoctrinated or exterminated. Keep up the fight, you are keeping the people here inspired. My partner will play his part now.: "Ah, good, Mrs. Parglouse. Welcome to the fossil research lab. I apologize for the crowd earlier. They do not understand the necessity of science. Please take this rejuvenated fossil. It is a female Tyrunt, she is rather strong and willing to battle." A man of average height and of pale skin with dark hair came from a side room with a Pokèball in hand. "Thank you." As she registered the ball ID into her Pokèdex, it asked her if she wanted to switch out. She chose to switch out Frank. After that it asked her to give the Pokèmon a name, without being able to talk to the reanimated fossil she could only assume she did not have a name. She inputted 'Tina' as the nickname. "Has she ever been out of the ball?" "No, only reanimated and placed into that device to stabilize her life signs. She will come out of stasis as any other- "For your information, Pokèballs only slow time...not stop it. We are well aware of what happens outside of them." Lisa interrupted. "I guess you would know. Anyway, she is like any other Pokèmon coming out of the ball. Go ahead and try her out. I recommend that you get her used to your commands before heading to the Gym in Valley Blossom." "There's no Gym here?" Todd grumbled. "No, this is originally a mining town. This explains the protesters." "Do you have any more fossils?" Macy had been looking at the documents on the nearby table. "I want this flower one." "Lileep? The majestic sea flower. Yes, I suppose a young lady, such as you, would like one. I'll 'sea' what I can dig up. One moment. I believe I have a Root Fossil somewhere around here." The scientist went to rummage through boxes filled with straw and fossils. "Ah, I got one. Wait here, it is a five minute process."

While the scientist did his job, Lisa took the moment to bring out the Tyrunt. The Pokèmon came out resembling a small dinosaur. The reptile's head came up to her Trainer's chest spike. The creature wobbled momentarily then looked around the room before seeing the humans and Lucario. Lisa stepped forward and held her paw out.

"Easy. I know you have been in there for a while. Just try to get used to your legs." :You... named me?: "Yes. I did. Tina is what I chose. I do you hope you like it." Tina nodded slowly. :What can I do for you, Mistress?: Lisa placed her paw on the underside of the powerful jaws and lifted slightly. "Help me fight in the name of the Father." Tina's eyes lit up, remembering that title from her yester-life. :As you wish, my Mistress.: Tina growled as the scientist returned and handed a ball to Macy. "Oh, you brought her out. She is taller than the computer calculated, good. She will grow into a fine Tyrantrum. Train her right and she will be a fine mount as well." "Well, I only hope that I shall never need a second pair of legs. Maybe wings." "Mm, yes. I can understand that point." The man glanced at his partner for a brief moment then turned to Todd. "I have not forgotten you, son. I hear you have done some... unusual deeds. Do to that, I give you three things to help protect your fellow Trainers. First is this Aerodactyl, male, level five; second piece is this very special bracelet; third is this stone to give to your Pokèmon. Alone they do nothing, but you wear that bracelet and he has his on, he will have a battle evolution called- "Mega Evolution. Kalos has just discovered the cause of this. What give me this?" "You are special, I... we have been directed to pass this on and call you a Knight. Remember the one called Zaps at the attack? Yeah, you will eventually be like him. She may not be Queen anymore, but we still listen to Queen Marsha Snowtail. Macy, your fate has not been told to us, only that you need to be protected from here on out. I will tell you something I really should not, but I can be cryptic about this. That Aerodactyl is Victar. Now, I must ask you to leave." Lisa stiffened and looked to the ball in Todd's grip. "Did I awaken something in him?" The Human nor Bird reply as they turned and left the group. "Lisa?" "Let's go to the Center then leave town."

That is what they did, they even got a quick meal then casually left town. Once they hit the town limits, Lisa took them off the path for 'training.' When she was sure no one followed them, Lisa told Todd to bring out the rock bird. Lisa stood beside Todd and took off her broach to stick it into her pocket.

"Come out, Aerodactyl." Todd already had his part of the Mega Stone on him and had the other half ready to be placed on the Pokèmon's tail. "Aero!" He screamed as he finished coming out of the ball. :Stow the formalities, birdy, we know you are Victar. Speak.: Lisa crossed her arms under her spike and fought to keep from growling. "Lisa?" Todd shifted uneasily hearing the anger in her voice. "I am trained in this land's common tongue. I did not expect the half-blood to speak about my origins. I am to train Todd in aerial combat as well be his partner. His blood has not awoken, I do not feel the 'pull' but I do know you have bonded with him. Courageous act, but unneeded in a few years. Place that stone upon me, Trainer, and then we will start to 'bond' as the norm of the so-called modern lands decree." Todd did as told and then stood back. "Good, now focus your energy. Focus like you would in battle and send the thrill of battle to the Stone." Todd did this then falling towards instinct he touched the stone as it became to warm. Aerodactyl shifted and began to glow red violet then roared. His form changed to the full battle evolution. Rock spikes protruded his body, he grew longer overall and his wing claws had changed into three long spikes on either wing. "Good," The voice became deeper, more aggressive. "Remember that feeling, I will eventually train you in the ancient arts that will allow you to focus on more than one member of your team. But for now, relax." Todd drew in a breath and tried to relax. Aerodactyl reverted back to his original form. "Excellent! The Queen chose perfectly. Due note that I am properly trained. Those that you 'catch' will not be able to handle the extra power and must be handled with care until they can focus on the battle and your commands. I will recommend that you return to your travels treating as an everyday Pokèmon." "Yes, sir." Todd shivered under the authoritative glare of the bird. "Good lad, when you mature, you will understand the Common Tongue of all Pokèmon for it is in the blood. It varies from Half-blood to Half-blood, so be patient." He approached Todd then tapped on his ball and recalled himself. Lisa returned her broach to its proper place. "Well, that was interesting. Come on, I am sure Macy is becoming worried." "Yeah, I am wondering if she brought out that Lileep yet." "Probably."

They returned to Macy sitting on a fallen tree staring into the eyes of Tina. Tina blinked and looked at the returning Trainers. Macy shouted victory while Tina grumbled. Lisa grinned at them. Tina turned to headbutt the girl off the tree before smiling back.

"Such a cheap shot, Tina. Come on, we need to move on, we have what we need here." A beep came from Lisa's Pokètch, this drew her attention. "Interesting. Excuse me a moment." She stepped out of earshot of the humans then answered the call. It was Marsha. "Ma'am?" "I am just wondering about your little fossil research had gone." "Learning experience. Glad to know they are on our side. Though I do wish I knew how you knew Todd is of Victar blood." "The technology humans have make research quick and easy. Especially with these Poragons working with me." "Porygons, Ma'am. So you found his family line. What about Macy?" "Not Victar, but equally powerful, her line bred with your kin many generations ago. Be careful with her. I know you did bond with her. Watch her Aura closely, if it changes... well, let's not think of it. Especially if the Aíat Ba'teese get to her. She can become an enemy rather quickly. I also have an agent following you by air, should you get into trouble that the Humans cannot rescue you from, we will. The Guardian has requested that." "Thank you. I assume this is why that report was kept from my companions?" "In deed. Be vigilant, my dear, and you will do more than what the Army can do." "I will do my best." Lisa sighed as the hologram flickered from the projector then faded out all together. Lisa returned to the groups and sighed glancing at Macy's Aura. "Shall we?"

Without even waiting for an answer, Lisa nudged her Pokèmon back to the road. Todd and Macy quickly caught up with their usual smiles shining brightly.
