#3 of Detective Lucario and the Specter of Mt. Pyre

If you haven't already, I recommend reading chapters 1 and 2. Anyways, here's the hectic last few hours Fortus and Toby have before their investigation begins. Hope you enjoy!

At home, I empty out my suitcase -in an orderly fashion -, then run down to my basement and open up my walk-in wine cellar -yes, I have a wine cellar, and no, it's not expensive, old wine... yet-, pulled out a bottle of '87 Chauvignon Blanc, to reveal a hidden compartment which contains my Ghost -Type combat kit.

The kit contains the following:

  • 2 1- liter jars of ectoplasm
  • 10 packs of edible Zinc tablets
  • 10 packs of edible Calcium tablets
  • Aura sensor enhancers

I made sure everything was in place, packed up the kit, placed it in my suitcase, closed the compartment, finished packing my suitcase, grabbed another one and packed it with essential materials, and set up my house for vacation mode. Nowit's time to catch a train.

At the station, I meet up with Toby, my best friend and loyal comrade. While we waited for the train, we decided to spar. We didn't get too rough, just a couple bruises here or there. We refrained from using Special attacks because Toby didn't want to drown the station and I wanted to keep the fight fair. After the scuffle, we had a bit odd ice cream until, finally, our train showed up.

The ride to Lilycove was a long one, so I thought I could doze off for a bit during the journey. I now wish I didn't, since I had the flashback again, only this time I managed to see his soul entering my body. I woke up shivering, but that was because Toby had fallen asleep too and accidentally used Water Pulse in his slumber, soaking everyone onboard, and the open windows only worsened the situation.

When we arrived in Lilycove, the first thing we did was dry off, then checked in to a shabby hotel where we can set up our analysis center. Later we visited a spa to "relieve our weary bones", to the point where Toby had to be taken to the neighboring hospital after suffering a strong nasal hemorrage. Kudos to the city planner and good genetics. Where was I? Oh yeah. After Toby was given the OK, we set sail for Mt. Pyre. It was time for our investigation to begin.
