"Isaac... is this what I think it is?" The top swimmer questioned uncertainly, grasping his right hand in both of hers so that she could closely study the bracelet he wore. She was remembering it seemed. Wow. "It is, isn't it? Oh... my... god..."

"Er, yeah, it's what you think it is. You don't need me to say it but you gave me this token when we were only kids." The human began to explain to his best friend as she, in a trance, looked over the jewelry she'd given him so long ago. His heart was beating too fast at the moment. "It's because of that token, Nel... that I've remained a top student in Hastings High."

"It is?" The she-otter questioned, looking curious, "How?"

"How? Well, let's see. This bracelet is only just an icon of one the best childhood memories that I've ever had! That's how." Isaac exclaimed cheerily, actually enjoying how very entranced with his bracelet the otter maiden was. She was remembering the moment back by the Herald River. She was recalling how they'd said they'd liked each other more than water. "I remember our promise to each other, Nel. It's because of that promise I've felt inspired to keep working hard. It was because of the memory of us saying that we liked each other more than water that somehow kept me focused enough to get into Stallman."

"You... You've remembered that promise for all of these years? Our promise? You've kept this bracelet all of this time?" Nelanee questioned softly, looking away from the tribal jewelry to her best friend with a growing smile on her face, "Isaac... we were kids when we said that we liked each other more than water. Yet, it meant that much to you, did it?"

"Of course." The human stated honestly, nodding his head, "Why? Is that weird of me? I'm not ashamed if so. What about you?"

"No! Isaac, no! This is... wow, I'm just a bit stunned by all of this at the moment. I'm a bit lost for words. The fact that you've kept this bracelet... God, it's too ADORABLE!" The top swimmer laughed, suddenly yanking her best friend close to her so that she could embrace him in her vice like grip once again for the tenth time or so. She churred happily, "And this is perfect, Isaac. I was meaning to tell you something here and now. I just didn't know if I had the courage to do so. Until seeing that bracelet anyhow."

"What is it you were meaning to tell me?" The human asked, feeling a bit surprised to hear that his she-otter friend hadn't known if she would be brave enough to say something to him. That until she'd seen he still remembered their childhood promise, "What was making oh so brave Nelanee cower?"

"Ha ha, I wasn't cowering. I was hoping against hope. Now, I think that everything is going to work out fine, stud." The otter lass snickered, brushing her black hair out of her gracious eyes, "Isaac, you say that it was thoughts of me... that kept you working so hard throughout High School?"

"That's right." The human unwaveringly admitted. Maybe others would have found it odd to say but he didn't. He meant it. That's the truth."

"Good. I'm very happy to hear so because... it was thoughts of you that made me swim extra hard during my own high school years." The otter maiden explained, blushing a bit now with her eyes cast down to the ground, "I can never stop remembering it; the memory of how you pulled me out of the ice back when we were younger. Your kindness then, your friendship, it' driven me on somehow. It has always made me happy. No matter where I am."

Huh? What?

Wow. Talk about feeling honored! Whereas Isaac had always kept her in his thoughts so he could achieve the highest grades possible, Nelanee had also done the same in a sense. She'd just admitted the thoughts of him - their childhood - had been something of a motivation for her during her success in the swim team.

Of course being a gifted otter like herself, the she-otter had been bound for greatness in the athletic field from the start. Nevertheless, it was awesome to hear that her success if not drive to succeed had been due to the thoughts of her childhood friend too; her childhood friend who was blushing a little bit like her at the moment, their hands intertwined.

"Isaac, the memory of me saying that you were my one and only when we were little... did that really help you keep working so hard?" Nelanee wondered softly, looking hopefully into her best friend's eyes. She was truly happy in his presence. "You're being serious, right?"

"Have I ever lied to you, Nel?" Was Isaac's instant if not truthful reply, making his childhood friend's face immediately break into an inspired grin, "Yes, I'm being serious. Maybe it would have been a bit silly to others for me to use it as inspiration but yeah, the memory of you saying you liked more than water was what kept me concentrated on school."

"That's not at all silly, silly. That's... heh, awesome to hear." The top swimmer admitted, nodding her head. She was smiling brighter than ever. "And I'm being serious when I say that you were my reason for swimming the extra mile, for speeding up during every race, for trying to get in the less second during each lap." She actually looked up into her human's eyes, giggling serenely, "You've always been a great friend to me, Isaac. You need to know that before graduation. Thank you."

"And you've been the same, Nel." The human responded, leaning his forehead against his purring best friend's own. It felt right, them bonding like this. "Thank you as well."

There was a moment's silence where nothing was said. Already, with a sure won spot in Stallman and the high school record for fastest lap broken, everything seemed already perfect between the two childhood friends. They'd just revealed many things to each other. It could even be said that they'd become... more than best friends. And as if thinking of such a thing, Nelanee actually took a deep breath, gazed straight into Isaac's eyes again and told him something that made his heart nearly explode from shock.

"I meant what I said back by the Herald River, you know, Isaac. I REALLY meant that you were my one and only."

"I beg your pardon?"

"It's been a clear fact to me for the longest time. As you and most of the other students know, I've had plenty of boyfriends. They've made me laugh, smile, be happy. But none of them made me happier than you have now, Isaac. You always had a gift for that, you know. You always knew how to make me smile. You always knew what to say. Not because you wanted something from me like get into my pants but because you wanted to make me happy." The she-otter explained, feeling a bit scared at what she was revealing now but pressing on valiantly. In the meantime, her human friend couldn't look away from her splendid gaze. He just listened, his heart beating faster with each second. "Isaac, I've been stupid since getting into high school."

When the human looked to say she hadn't been foolish, the otter maiden covered his mouth with her hand. She bit back a sob, understanding his good intentions were just in his nature, "No, don't argue, I have been. Maybe we both have. We made a promise to one another back at the river, didn't we? We said that we liked each other more than the water. So why did we split apart? Why have we not done more things together?"

"Life is life, Nel. We've been busy." Isaac admitted, knowing what his best friend was getting at. He felt a little bad too now. "We were young, naïve. We still are, in a sense. Promises sometimes work and sometimes they don't."

"That's not what I want to hear from you, silly. I want to us be honest here and now. Do we not make each other the happiest when we get together? Do we not somehow manage to meet back up like this every so often?" The she-otter wondered, nuzzling her friend's nose with her own. She squeezed his hands, "Why is that? After a while, friends move on. Promises fade but our promise... it's still here. We're still together. There's only one solution. I meant what I said back at the Herald River, Isaac. You were my one and only."

"And... I..." Isaac breathed, his lips being pulled closer to his childhood friend's as she took his face in her hands next, the both of them trembling a little, "I meant it... too. That makes sense, doesn't it? You're right, where most friends would have forgotten such a promise, we've held onto it. It's made us happier than anything else. It's why we always see each other and reconnect."

"Yes, it has. It's made me happy whenever I've thought of you, Isaac. And it pains me to know that you'll be leaving after this summer." The she-otter whimpered, shaking her head sadly, "But I had to say all of this, especially when I saw you wearing that bracelet. I still... have mine, you know. It's back in my locker by the pool."

"You've kept yours too?"

"Yes. It's forever been in my bag. I always found the trinket kind of childish whenever I looked at it but if you and I had spent more time together... I would have thought otherwise. I would have appreciated it more." The top swimmer whispered to the top student, her face a centimeter from his, "We have to fix that, Isaac. I don't care if you're leaving at the end of the summer. We have to get back together like when were kids. We have to renew our promise to each other. Agreed?"

"Of course. Agreed." Isaac replied firmly, leaning forward with his heart pounding, his sense tingling but his mind focused. He meant that. "Here... Let me begin to be your one and only right now."

After having wanted to do so without their knowing for the last four years of their high school lives, arms wrapped around one another, the two childhood friends kissed for the very first time. Mind, they'd shared a cute kiss or two as children down by the Herald when they'd exchanged bracelets; when they'd become husband and wife, in a sense. Now though, this kiss they shared out in front of the gym in summer sunlight was not some childish fantasy nor was it naïve.

Rather, pressing close to one another, with the otter's tail nudging her friend, all that happened between them had always been meant to be; the hugging, the tender kiss that became more passionate, the happiness, their fingers intertwining.

For a moment, the kiss Isaac planted upon Nelanee's lips was a bit of a shock that sent wave after wave of joy through the otter swimmer. Of course, several times, she had imagined this moment. Maybe she'd not believed in it happening, what with how different they were if not growing apart. Yet, it was happening now as she intertwined her fingers with his. She eventually became a bit more confident with her human friend who was holding her ever so delicately around the waist in his warm, strong embrace with his free arm.

With years of experience of having kissed other boys less worthy than her current one at hand, the otter maid got around to longingly poking her childhood friend's lips with her tongue. She wanted to show him more went into a kiss. In turn, not knowing if he was ready for what was to come but very much wanting to see what roller coaster ride was in store for him, Isaac opened his mouth... and was nearly knocked flat onto his rear when Nelanee, with a playful giggle, pushed boldly forward into his territory. It was mad clear that she was no stranger to the ways of making her lovers enjoy the ways of making out.

Within seconds, doing his best to keep up with her, knowing for certain that she was far more confident than any other girl he'd actually gotten to second base with in the past, Isaac was at the mercy of Nelanee as she wrestled his tongue with her own, as she broke off at moments to kiss his neck and encouraged him with a smile to nibble her collarbone. When he obeyed, his actions not only made her wiggle softly in his grasp but chur with gladness in turn.

Gently, her tail kept slapping happily against his thighs during it all. At one moment, maybe even on purpose, she hit him so hard in the back of the leg that he, laughing aloud, fell back onto the grass of the front yard behind him!

Now looming over him, with the sunlight shining behind her, the next moment that Isaac experienced when looking up Nelanee felt like eternity. His breath was literally stolen away. Having always been cute in her own way, his childhood friend really had grown up into a most gracious, most gorgeous, most beautiful looking girl. Her brown fur was so sleek, her hair wildly hanging down over her shoulders was majestic, her shining blue eyes had him at a loss for words.

Mind, even though he felt the need to, it wasn't like she gave him an opportunity to say how beautiful she was. Not when she seized his lips with her own within a heartbeat, he hands holding his face as she sat on his waist to straddle him.

"Nel..." The human actually managed to say in between the she-otter's constant showing of affection towards him. She just couldn't stop kissing him. "I know I'm being stupid but I have to ask... Are... are you really sure... you want me to be your one and only?"

"What?" The she-otter questioned at once, giving him an incredulous look. She looked right into his eyes with worry. "Here I am kissing you and you ask me that? Didn't I just say that I wanted to renew my promise with you?"

"I... I just can't help but feel like I'm not at all worthy of you." Isaac admitted next, not really knowing what he was doing for he was kind of overwhelmed over everything that was happening. It was one thing to be accepted into Stallman Tech. This though, was most inspiring. It was like he'd fallen into some kind of dream. Of course this was all really happening but still... he was so geeky. How could he have the feelings of this celestial girl before him? "Nel, I know we're the best of friends. I know we can connect so easily but you're so beautiful and great, I'm just-"

"Shush. Isaac, don't say such things." The top swimmer commanded of the top student, gently placing her hand over his mouth to keep him from putting himself down. He didn't get it. He wasn't being himself. Yet, he was her one and only. She was certain of this. Somewhere within herself, she'd always known it. And now, she wanted to show him. She wanted him to be happy, not uncertain. She wanted him to be himself. "You, stud, are just as beautiful and great as I am. Well, you being a guy, heh, you're handsome rather than beautiful. I honestly can't believe what's happening myself but... let's not ruin it with talk, okay? Let's make the most of it. Let's just be happy, alright?"

There was no more questioning. For another few moments, laid out on the grass near the gym, the two childhood friends shared no more words; only acts of kindness, faith along with affection. They came to realize that they truly were happy with one another. Maybe things were happening a bit quickly between them but there were no regrets, only gladness; gladness inspired by the fact they were renewing their promise of being each other's one and only.

True, maybe they'd made the promise as kids. Now though, now that they were a little older and wiser, they wanted to make it ever more purposeful. No matter what the future held, they wanted to make it come true as boyfriend and girlfriend.

"Heh, we could get in so much trouble for this." Nelanee churred, trailing her fingers teasingly down her best friend's face heavily breathing chest as she straightened up. Sitting on her human's stomach with her tail actually rubbing in between his legs upon his arousing sex, the she-otter glanced around playfully. "Public indecency. That's honestly a first for me. I never would have guessed you would take part in such an act, stud. Aren't you the model of doing everything right in life?"

"It's not like I've had much of a choice up to this point." Isaac laughed back, trying to ignore his hardening groin with the way his childhood friend's tail was rubbing him. Was she doing that on purpose? She was a fast player if so. Did she want to go that far that quickly with him? "What with you knocking me over and holding me down like this. If a cop shows up, it's going to be every man for himself, you know. It was all her officer, I swear!"

"Ha ha, you little traitor. Going and selling me to the guys in blue." The she-otter churred, leaning down and kissing her newest if not truest boyfriend on the lips. She nuzzled his neck next, sighing happily, "Still, I don't want the guys in blue ruining our fun. I'm going to go grab my belongings out of my locker. When I come back, you'd better still be here, stud. If you aren't... I know where you live."

"Ooh. Scary." Isaac laughed aloud, kissing his teasing gf's chest which made her purr along with hold his head against her chest happily. This was... getting pretty hot. "Why would I leave here without you, dearest? You're my one and only, aren't you? Where you go, I go."

"Well, unless we want to get interrupted, we have to go away from here." The otter lass explained brightly, getting up onto her feet. As she did so, as she climbed off of him, she actually placed her hand just above her shocked bf's hardened cock. Next, she helped her shaken boyfriend up onto his feet. "I happen to know a fabulous place where we can continue being each other's one and only for the rest of the day. Feel up to it? Feel up for a swim, handsome?"

"A swim? Heh, anything for you, my one and only." The human said to his otter, making her giggle brightly, "All summer long, I'll be up for a swim with you. You just name the time and place."

"That's what I like to hear." Nelanee churred, rubbing her nose against her best friend's own before hugging him to her tightly, "During this summer... we're going to make it unforgettable. You'll have plenty of memories to take with you to Stallman, Isaac. I'll see to that."

"Of course you will. And I'll give you plenty of reasons to know that I'll remain your one and only during my college semesters." Isaac truthfully said, gazing deeply into his childhood friend's eyes. After only a brief moment of talking about the past, they were really smitten with one another now. "Seriously, Nel, I'm so happy right now. I won't forget this happiness during my time in Stallman. I'll always come back to you. I won't leave you behind."

"And I won't leave you behind neither. That's why I want to renew our promise somewhere a bit more memorable than here." Nelanee explained, taking her bf's hand and leading him towards the gym where she would get her things from her locker, "Today is going to be the best day of our lives, stud. We won't ever forget each other or drift apart after what I have planned. We'll keep our promise."

It was fifteen minutes later that Nelanee, smiling happily than ever, came running back out of the gym. When she grabbed Isaac and began dragging him along behind her towards the parking lot where their cars were parked, his heart did a hop skip of joy at seeing that she too now wore her own tribal bracelet. Only where he had his around his right wrist, she had hers adorning her elegant left.

Either way, wherever she wore it on her person, the sight of the bracelet he'd given her a long time ago made Isaac feel like he truly was part of a dream at the moment. He felt like he could explode from this overdose of feeling happy. He was light headed if anything.

Honestly, how could someone be so very happy at a time like this and not have died right now? Isaac had won his place in Stallman. That'd been good enough news for his heart to soar. Now, with her having given him one last kiss on the cheek in the parking lot, with the two of them driving their vehicles west through proud Hastings, he was tagging along with Nelanee towards where they were to strengthen their relationship. This morning, he never could have guessed this would happen.

Still, this entire event wasn't at all a problem for him. It was very much a blessing. Why else could he not stop grinning to himself like some kind of dork?

After about twenty minutes of driving with Nelanee leading the way, the two childhood friends took a turn from being on the highway into forestland country where the sun seemed to dance through the breaks in the leafy canopy all around. It took him a moment to realize where they were but when he did, Isaac nearly flipped a nut. For they were approaching Herald River; the river that meant so much to both him as well as his one and only whom drove to a certain dead end where she parked.

As Isaac got around to parking his own car, as he stepped out into the summer warmth, his promised girl approached him. "Ready to renew our promise to one another?" The she-otter asked, a happier than happy shine in her eyes, "All we have to do is walk a little ways through the forest here and get to the Herald River. Be patient for a little bit longer."

"You want me to be patient? I could wait for eternity for you, Nel." Isaac truthfully replied, earning a smile from her as she took his hand and began leading him through the nearby foliage towards the river they loved, "To be frank, I've waited for you during all of high school. What harm would there be in me having to wait around a few minutes longer to have you be my one and only again?"

"Heh heh, there will be no harm then. Only good things."

The walk through the forest wasn't as awkward as some other people would have made it. With the two of them hand in hand, bumping into each other every so often, exchanging grins of gladness from time to time, the hike through nature almost felt like something out of a fairytale. No, actually, having taken this kind of trip many times beforehand when littler, it was quite literally something out of a memory from their childhoods.

The walk was a perfect passing of time; one that came to a tranquil end when the two childhood sweethearts emerged from the forest onto the clear shore of the Herald.

Mind, as the two best friends next stepped down into its warm shallows after having removed their footwear, the Herald wasn't at all a dirty stream or a grimy sight to behold. Having always been clear, crisp, sparkling under the sunlight, it was Hastings pride and joy in fact. And it seemed that today, as if congratulating the two of them, the gently passing river looked its best before the eyes of both Isaac and Nelanee who didn't say anything for a while. Rather, with their hands squeezing one another, with their feet soaking, the two of them enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, the occasional bird song, the fact that they were together for a grand purpose.

"Isaac... I have to say that I'm sorry." Nelanee finally said, looking at her tribal bracelet, "Despite my promise to you when we were at this river last time, I kind of almost lost you, didn't I? I got all caught up in the life of being in high school."

"I'm just as guilty as you are, Nel. Seriously, for the last few years, where have I been? Instead of looking at you or giving you my attention, I've had my freakin' nose crammed in books." The human told his grateful otter, enjoying how she nuzzled his shoulder at his understanding. They both had made mistakes. Now as the time to correct them if not leave them behind. "Don't go beating yourself up here. Not now. We're people. People make mistakes. People forget... But not us. We remember how much we mean to each other. That's why we're here, aren't we?"

"That's right." Nelanee churred, turning to her best friend to look up into his glorious eyes, "So you forgive me then? You still like me more than the water?"

"There's nothing to forgive. Still, if you need forgiveness, of course. I forgive you. And I do like you more than the water. Do you still like me more than the water?"

"Yes, I do. Will you be my one and only, Isaac? Forever and always?"

"Forever and always."

"No matter where you go, no matter what you do?" The otter maiden wondered, stepping closer to him with a glad expression.

"That's right. No matter where I go, no matter what I do, I'll remain yours, Nel." The human answered, resting his forehead against hers.

"Promise?"

"Nel..." Isaac said, hugging the she-otter close to him next so that he could feel her heart beat with his own, "I promise. I really do. I promise, like when we were little, that you are my one and only. However, this promise is different. I will not change after today. I won't let time change us again. I won't. You will be in my thoughts forever."

"And you will be in my thoughts too. No matter where you are. You will be in my heart."

With the Herald sighing past them down its leisurely path eastward towards Hastings, there was a long silence where the two childhood friends - now vowed back together - remained in a gentle embrace. Then, feeling very gladdened, with a bright gleam in her smile, the otter looked up to her human, kissed his neck, then churred a playful statement.

"So... now that we are each other's one and only, I would say a celebration is in order. I would even go so far as to say that you and I have more reason than the rest of our classmates to celebrate today, Isaac." She winked, cocking her to the side. "How about it? You feel like celebrating?"

"That depends." The human sighed, acting like he was annoyed when really he was playing around, "What do you have in mind?"

"A swim." The otter lass giggled.

Next before her boyfriend could understand what was happening, with a wide grin on her gorgeous face, Nelanee shoved Isaac into the water where he stumbled, flailed his arms vainly as well as disappeared underwater when he crashed onto his back. Coming up to the surface spluttering, wiping the river water from his vision, utterly soaked, the human was about to ask what his gf's purpose had been in nearly drowning him... when he saw her stripping down to only her fur.

Truly, without hesitation, looking pleased with herself, the otter lass had soon pulled off her tight jeans, yanked off her own tank top, brushed back her freely hanging, wild hair. Then, her human's jaw nearly hit the river water he was treading in when his girlfriend gracefully removed her white panties. She next reached behind her, unclipped her white bra strap, flung the clothing onto the shore and turned to him.

At once, not wanting to come off as a weirdo or anything odd, although knowing that she was nude for a plain reason which was making him very aroused, Isaac looked away from his gf during the first moment. He couldn't ignore her though when, giggling playfully, she swam right up to him. He was very happy that she was looking to do more with him. He... loved her. However, he was a bit new to all of this nudity at the moment. He didn't want to be rude.

Intertwining his fingers with her own when she reached him, the she-otter questioned of her one and only, "Oh, what's the matter, stud? Why do you look away? Am I too ugly?"

"Too ugly?!" Her bf instantly exclaimed, looking disbelieving. He had shouted before he gained control of himself. "You're anything but that, Nel. I'm just upset at you is all."

"Oh?" The naughty otter pouted, putting on her best puppy dog face. He was simply joking around with her. She could see it in his honest eyes. "I upset you, did I?"

"Well, duh. You don't just go shoving anyone into a river for laughs." The human supposedly angrily stated, doing his best not to smile or laugh at her puppy dog eyes, "Now look at me. You thought I was damp before? Now I'm soaked."

"Aw, I'm so sorry to have upset you, sweet thing. Then again, I'm not. You're cute when you're upset. And didn't I say we were going for a swim? Swimming usually gets you soaked." The otter lass laughed, swimming closer to her bf. She locked lips with him for a moment, sighing into his mouth before pulling away. With a devious look on her face, smiling sweetly, she admitted slyly, "You're going to look cuter when we do what I have planned. Seeing as you're soaked, seeing as we're going for a swim, you're not going to be needing your clothes anymore, right?"

"Er, right." Isaac nervously chuckled, feeling his gf rapidly undoing his belt buckle underwater as she dreamily kissed his neck. He was hard for her. Still, he felt like he had to admit something before everything happened. "Listen, Nel, I know where you're going with this but... I have something to confess."

"Oh?" She replied, still undoing his belt, "Go on."

"I... I don't know how to put this without sounding stupid but I've never made it to this base before now." The human shyly explained to the she-otter watching him, "I've, uh, never had sex. If that's where you want to take this promise of ours, I'm going to be a freaking idiot at this part. That's what I'm trying to say."

There was a pause where the otter looked at her human. Then, with a giggle, kissing him on the lips once more, she admitted wittily, "No, silly, you won't be a freaking idiot at anything. You kiss good enough. That's half the battle. If you screw me half as well as you kiss, well, you're going to do splendid. Just be yourself, stud. If that means you have to be an idiot, than be an idiot. At least you'll be my idiot."

"I... Ha ha, you got it! Then I'll settle with being an idiot." The human laughed, kissing his cheery girlfriend as she went back to pulling off his belt which she managed with a playful growl. Then, as the she-otter yanked at his zipper, as she began to tug his shirt off of him, Isaac wondered aloud, "Before we do get to the celebrating, um, I didn't bring any protection."

"No worries on that, sweetheart. Being the naughty otter that I am, I always come prepared." Nelanee explained, now having her boyfriend's shirt off. As she threw the said shirt to the shore, the smirking otter pulled out a packaged condom from out of nowhere. "Now, no more talking, stud. You're nervous, I can see that. Trust me though, okay? Can you do that?"

"Can I do that? Yes, of course." Isaac replied at once, doing his best to keep his unbuckled pants from falling off as he treaded water with his nude gf, "Do you trust me?"

"After having seen you wearing the bracelet I gave you when we were six? Yep. After having exchanged such kind words with you? Yes again." The she-otter responded, pressing close to her happy boyfriend. They treaded water together, the otter graceful and her human honored, "I've always trusted you, Isaac. Since the day you saved me from the ice, I believe I've trusted you since. Now, I want to make you happy. I want to make another fond memory at this river. Are you ready to do that, stud?"

"Ready whenever you are."

"Excellent." Nelanee chimed, smiling her brightest smile yet.

Then, with a most graceful backstroke, flipping herself over into the water, she dived down out of sight without so much as a sound. Yet, where her impressed human couldn't see her above, she had a grand view of him from below in the clear river water. The sunlight filtering from above helped her see as she - smirking - yanked off his jeans. When finally having those off, she proceeded to do what she desired most; remove him of his boxers.

When she did grip the waistband of his boxers, the human indistinctively grabbed her hands. This, in turn, made her playfully pull him under with her with a storm of bubbles flying everywhere.

At once, when dragged under the water, all sound flooded out of Isaac's ears. Where there was once sunlight there were only roaring bubbles floating up all around him. Not having gotten a good gulp of fresh air above, with his lungs hurting a little, he was a bit fearful of being hauled under the water's surface. He kind of panicked. That was until his one and only, smiling sweetly, appeared before him through the curtains of bubbles all around.

With a chuckle silenced by the underwater world, the she-otter pressed her mouth up to her human's and he, in turn, experienced something truly beautiful.

As it was something only familiar to otters, Nelanee gave honored Isaac something like a kiss of life in the underwater world. Holding his face in her hands, she breathed life giving air into his lungs while her tongue played roughly with his own. When she was finished in giving him her air, the otter girl winked at her bf, swiftly yanked off his boxers, felt her heart leap with glee at how big he was and then bolted off towards the shore which she - like an arrow loosed from a bow - shot up onto from the water's surface.

When having flung his clothes onto the shore, Nelanee began dashing back into the water as Isaac surfaced. "Isaac, you need to know something." The top swimmer exclaimed to the top student surfacing with a laugh, "You're the biggest I've seen. Seriously, you're gifted, stud."

"Biggest? Gifted? I am?" The human questioned before throwing back his head and playing the part of confident, "I mean, hah, of course I am. What would you expect from your one and only, huh?"

"I expected the best and now I am getting the best! How very adorable." Nelanee giggled, shooting off of the shallows into the deeper water with tremendous speed. Her body flew through the water speedily where she tackled her bf and then enjoyed the feeling of the both of them being naked together in the warm water of the Herald. This was right. This was perfect. "Now, at long last, we move on to the celebrations. You and I, we're going to swim just like we did when we were little. Ready?"

"I am." The human said to his one and only, pulling her confidently closer to him. He didn't mind that he was already hardening for her. She hadn't yanked off his clothes for him to pretend to be shy anymore. They were truly going to have a memorable time in the Herald this afternoon. They weren't going to hold anything back from making each other happy. "I'm going to make you very happy, Nel."

"And I'm going to make you very happy, Isaac. Hold on."

Again, with an inhale on both of their parts, the pair of childhood friends plummeted down from the water's surface towards the river bottom. Floating hand in hand in the gentle current, clothed in nothing but their birthday suits, confident in one another, the otter and her human dove for a little bit. Then, Nelanee performed the same life giving kiss unto her bf from before, shot up to the surface, gained her needed air, then streaked back downwards onto her lover who grinned widely when she kissed him on the cheek. When he looked to return the kiss though, Isaac found his sweetheart swimming rapidly around him until she lunged in, kissed him again and avoided his own gleefully.

Like that, like they'd done as two kids long ago, playing with one another in the sun illuminated waters of the Herald, the she-otter would swim tantalizingly close to her boyfriend, have him snatch at her vainly as well as - with a churring giggle - plant a kiss of her own onto his neck, his hands, his cheeks, his lips, his chest, anywhere that she could manage to peck without being caught in turn. All the while, her snake of a tail - her pride and joy - would flick out and occasionally rub Isaac's hardening sex. Every time she did this, every time she made him harder, the human would desperately try to grab a hold of her.

For all of Isaac's efforts, attempting to snag an otter like his Nelanee in the water - in her element - was honestly like trying to catch wind in one's hands or keep sand from slipping through the cracks of his fingers. It was little wonder why the she-otter had become a top swimmer over the years at Hastings High. She easily rolled through the current, dived this way, ducked that way, somersaulted over her bf, glided below him. All the while she teasingly kept out of his reach.

Until, of course, he needed oxygen at which she would lazily glide into his embrace and bless him with an air filled kiss. His sex touched her during this, making her feel just as excited for what was to come. For now though, they were kids again. They were having a good time.

Swimming, playing, kissing underwater with someone so lovely as Nelanee, it was truly something like a fantasy out of a book for Isaac. Inside himself, he felt completely unworthy of her as she went on entertaining him. The way her brown pelt glowed in the water, the way her ebony hair framed her elegant face whenever she did anything, the way her eyes gleamed like two sapphires in the sunlight, she was perfection. And her graceful body, her full breasts, her shapely rear, strong tail, everything about her was so very grand.

Isaac didn't realize that he too looked just as brilliant to the she-otter as she played with him while showing off her moves. Perhaps he wasn't the most handsome fellow in Hastings High but where he was mediocre in appearance, he had golden material for personality. Truly, while she swam around him, Nelanee observed how her human's eyes always shined truthfully, his gentle smile made her happier than anything, how his body was fit enough to impress.

Maybe he saw himself as average. To his one and only though, he was just as perfect as her. They were well suited for one another in body, mind and soul.

The time finally came where playing around only did so much for the two childhood friends. The real celebrating was to come now when Nelanee went back to the river surface, took in some air, returned to her lover and allowed him to pull her into a gentle hug. Sharing a purposeful glance, with their hands gently roaming each other, the best friends locked lips in another life giving kiss that kept them not only breathing but brightened their senses with joy. Meanwhile, moving her kisses down from his lips to his chest, to his lower body, the she-otter paused before her bf's throbbing cock standing to attention.

Quite honestly, it took all of the otter girl's willpower not to begin laughing at the thought that her geeky, childhood friend had a bigger penis than the overconfident quarterback of the football team. A quarterback who'd only sported around six inches when he'd tried to get her to go down on him in junior year after his team had won against the rival school after a football game.

In this case, with a glance up at her bf where he gave her a gentle nod that told her to go ahead if she wished - which she very much did want to - Nelanee wasn't being taken advantage of by a jock at the moment; she was looking to please her one and only. She meant all of the world to her human. This moment of theirs meant everything to them.

With her lungs filled with air, knowing that time would be critical for the both of them while doing this rather sexy underwater adventure, the she-otter hesitated no further in doing what she wanted to do to her newest bf. She opened her mouth, took her boyfriend's rod in one hand, tickled his balls with the other hand and then began licking the tip of Isaac's engorged penis. At once, feeling an electric jolt of pleasure hit him when feeling both his balls along with shaft being given attention at the same time, the human expelled what air he had in a yelp of pleasure.

That moment of not think on his part led to a rather funny situation. Next, struggling stupidly since he'd lost what air he'd had an instant ago, his laughing girlfriend quickly breached the surface above, took in some air, dived down to him and filled his lungs with air due to another kiss.

A few moments later, keeping a hold of his senses this time, the human experienced the wonderfulness that was oral sex being performed on him. Without a doubt, his childhood friend had a talent for sucking dick. Where she'd gotten such talent wasn't at all something he tried to think about. Rather, keeping himself floating underwater, watching her pleasure him with a smile on her face, the human focused on how very glorious his one and only was being to him. They, together, were both doing a good job of making this day memorable.

They weren't holding anything back. Not when they'd made vows over their bracelets, anyhow. Not when they met so much to each other at the moment and would in the future.

It was when Nelanee finally moved from licking to sucking upon Isaac's tip that the sensation of a burning desire began to become apparent to him in his pelvic region. Having done the act of pleasuring himself repeated times in the past, the human sensed a familiar, fiery sensation growing somewhere in his groin. Every so often, as the she-otter sucked harder, deeper, longer, the fiery feeling in his lower body grew into an emotion of need. It was a need that needed to be satisfied more than his want for air. It was a need that was bound to explode as his girl, picking up the pace, went on pumping his cock with her hands, slathering her tongue upon him, suckling his sex in her warm mouth.

After a few moments of being pleasured, with her mouth still upon his rock hard cock, the human involuntarily bucked. Or rather, in the water, he shifted with a silent yelp. He then grabbed his one and only by the head. He wasn't holding her there, mind. He was trying to signal to her that he was going to release his load soon. She needed to get away.

"Nel!" His eyes shouted for him, his face grimacing with tension, "Nel, you have to stop. I'm going to cum. You have to let me go now!"

What was shocking about the next moment was that the she-otter didn't pull away like warned. Rather, with a twinkle in her eyes, with a grin on her face, she assaulted his cock with her mouth ever more furiously. As he arched his back, as he began to buck his hips forwards, as he felt his walls of resistant falling, Isaac had to admit that it was a little disgusting that his girl was willing if not going to enjoy the seed he was going to spew.

However, there was another side of him that was absolutely loving the fact that his one and only had a naughty attitude towards the current moment. He loved it when, while sucking on him, her hands went back to tickling his balls for extra good measure. Finally, with a grunt of bubbles, throwing back his head in ecstasy, he loved it most when he felt his erect sex expel stream after stream of his semen into awaiting Nelanee's mouth who - smiling to herself on the inside - enjoyed the salty sweet taste that hit her taste buds in torrents.

And the she-otter truly enjoyed her bf. He tasted most excellent, more so than any other boy that'd had the chance of trying to impress her in the past. When finished feeling his orgasm, pulling away from hi to float back up into his awaiting if not weary hug, Nelanee cuddled closer to her lover. There, for a long moment, feeling united, they floated in the sunlit, shimmering depths of the Herald River.

With a nod to one another, needing some air now, the two childhood friends eventually ventured back up to the surface of the Herald where they broke the surface with giggles. They were not finished making each other happy, of course. Not when Nelanee guided her one and only into the shallows, laid down upon her back in the water, pulled her curious human down on top of her and guided his hand to her clit. From there, it was pretty straightforward for the young lovers.

Like he'd said earlier to her, sexual actions were a bit foreign to Isaac. Still, with his hand attending to her aching sex, seeing her happy reactions at his touch, the human wasn't completely clueless. Thus, driven by his passions, guided by wanting to make her happy like she'd made him happy in the river, he learned fast what his girl liked most as he tickled, prodded along with fingered her longing pussy in the shallows.

As he fingered his girl, searching for her weak points to make her squirm most beneath him, Isaac heard many sounds that made him excited. Out of all of the those sounds, though, the best one was the groaning, moaning along with giggling coming from the she-otter laid out underneath him. Her giggles, her unexpected gasps that made her arch her back, were music. Her whimpers were intoxicating. Her moans if not random yelps of joy were most addicting of all, naturally, and he went very much out of his way to explore deeper inside of her.

For the deeper he went into her with his fingers, after he pressed two into her rather than one, the better the results he received from Nelanee.

As her burning desire for him grew with each passing minute, as he pleasured her in the shallows of the Herald, as his eyes gently shined with confidence into her own, Nelanee sometimes kissed Isaac. The passionate kisses were much needed for they allowed the panting, grunting, mewling otter maiden to better deal with the fire growing in herself. Finally, with a strength born from desperation, needing more than his fingers to entice her, the girl pushed her bf's head down in between her legs!

There, without hesitating, driven on by a sudden hunger that couldn't be denied, the human began to lick her swollen clit which made his girl cry out for a moment in turn. That was before she got a grip, bit her lip and held in her voice.

Where maybe he had found the idea of doing something like licking a soaked pussy a curious thing back in the day, the human wasn't at all interested in turning back an offer like claiming his gf's treasure at the moment. She had pleasured him, after all. Now it was his turn to pay squirming her back and, with a sense of confidence overriding his not knowing what to do exactly, he pressed his face in between Nelanee's thighs. Hesitant at first, his tongue tasted the uniquely sweet juices of his one and only. Instantly, when having registered the favorable taste of the juice off of her clit, Isaac did something he didn't even think he was familiar with.

Indeed, suddenly if not surprisingly, he grabbed his girl around her thighs, pulled yelping her close to him, lifted her legs above his shoulders and held her rear in the air for him to look upon. Then, lunging onto her sex, he began to eat her out with some newfound source of lustful energy.

"Fuck, Isaac! What the hell do you mean you haven't had sex before?!" Nelanee cried out at once, half-laughing and gasping at the same time as her bf probed her slits with his tongue. With her lower half held up out of the water, her tail hanging over her human's shoulder, she clenched at the river shore around her as she hissed, "You're such a - augh - liar! You've taken a girl before!"

"No really, this is the first-"

"No, shut up! Don't talk. Ha ha, don't stop what you're doing, idiot of mine!" The she-otter gasped strictly to her bf. She grabbed his face and pulled it back down to her clit, managing out some laughter in between her increasing pleasure at his seriousness, "I was just - oh god - kidding. Keep doing what you're doing, Isaac. Keep - yes! - doing what you're doing! That's it!"

Although the human was a bit new to this experience, the pleasure only became more intense for his girl with each passing moment. Isaac couldn't exactly say who or what he was anymore. In place of his formerly sensible mind, in place of his high mark student persona, a rather aggressive beast had taken over.

Truly, he couldn't get enough of his one and only anymore. Writhing in his grasp, her tail thumping against his back, there was no end to the moans, groans along with yelps of happiness that the she-otter was emitting as her boy tongued her pussy. With a yelp on her part, her eyes widening, he even gripped her full breasts in both of his hands without warning.

Still, as it went with all things, even though the two childhood sweethearts wished for it to go on longer, there was to be an end to all of the joy building up. Even so, when it arrived, the end turned out to be quite spectacular.

Releasing a squeal of ecstasy with her adorable expression scrunched up, grabbing the back of her lover's head so that he couldn't pull away from her as he intended, Nelanee let go of herself! Trembling violently, feeling what was her best orgasm in her life perhaps because it was with someone who shared feelings of true love with her, the otter girl let loose all of her pent up tension. The juices of her pussy flowed forth into shocked Isaac's mouth who at first tried to retreat due to surprise.

When he found that his head was being held in place, though, his mind instantly told him to relax. He needed to enjoy himself; his love. With time, feeling her bucking into him as she shook, as she came for him, he very much did enjoy himself. He eventually licked her clean, making her whimper along with mewl as she - feeling slight sensations still - pushed back into his curious, hungry, probing tongue.

Of course, having been eating her out for the last few minutes beforehand in the shallows of the Herald, Nelanee's boyfriend had whole heartedly agreed to himself that she had tasted great before. She had had a grand flavor; one that he couldn't get enough of. Her juices though... they tasted oh so much better. Nevertheless, they didn't taste as great as her tongue did when - after having finished tasting her orgasm - he crawled back over her laid out form, leaned down and claimed her lips with his own.

For a longer than long moment, lying together side by side, the two childhood friends did nothing in the Herald's shallows but remain in each other's embrace whilst kissing, giggling, making out. Their playfulness completed the moment of having made each other extremely happy.

Very much so, after having renewed their childhood promise of loving each other more than the water itself that had brought them together when children, after having pleased one another now, this day was not one they would not ever forget.

Finally, pushing herself up to look over her smiling bf, nuzzling his nose with her own, Nelanee got around to starting the biggest event of all. Churring sweetly, trailing her fingers purposefully down his lean body to his lower region, she showed Isaac's dick enough attention to get it aroused. At seeing him hard for her again, she covered it with the condom from before; putting the item on the tip of his sex before - with a devious yawn - she pushed the protection down his shaft with her mouth. That was how lovers did it, no? In the least, that's how giggling Nelanee did it before deeply kissing her lover.

Then, straddling him at the waist by sitting on him, with her tail flopping around onto his chest, the she-otter kept her human's hardened sex at attention as she rather thoughtfully kissed him with the shallows peacefully passing them by. She cuddled him, looking very content about all that had happened and was about to happen.

"Are you liking our celebration so far, Isaac?" The otter girl questioned gently caressing her human's cheek affectionately. She rubbed his side with her tail, trailed her fingers down his chest, loved how he gasped at her touch. "I am. I really am."

"Most certainly. You make a wonderful host, Nel." Isaac admitted honestly, smiling back at his gf. He intertwined his fingers in her own lovingly. "I just hope your only guest is making things as entertaining."

"Oh, he is. He is keeping me entertained alright. Especially for his first time during this kind of event." The she-otter churred happily, "Will you keep me entertained forever and ever, Isaac? When you go to Stallman's, will you like me more than the water?"

"Yes, Nel." The human replied, smiling truthfully, "I am your one and only from now on."

"Always?" The she-otter giggled, nudging her boy's hard cock with her tail.

"Always." The human repeated, feeling the same fiery passion from before gripping him.

"Cross your heart?"

"Cross my heart. Hope to die."

"Stick a needle in your eye?"

"Heh, yes, stick a needle in my eye." Isaac agreed, suddenly rolling over with a splash so that stunned yet gleeful Nelanee was underneath him now. He gently kissed her as he pressed his sex against the entrance of hers, melting into her embrace as she gasped. "Tell me if I go too rough on you, okay?"

"Okay..." The otter girl churred back, wrapping her arms around her love in life and giving him an encouraging smile, "You got it, stud muffin."

Yes, from then on, the two childhood friends were meant to keep their promises to each other. Even after that summer sun warmed afternoon by the Herald where Isaac had passionately pumped into wailing, happier than happy Nelanee in the shallows, even after the human had ventured off to Stallman and left his worried otter girl behind at the end of the summer, the two of them never forgot their promise of being each other's one and only.

For every good as well as bad day after that one where they'd renewed their vows two weeks before graduation, the tribal bracelets never left their wrists. Those simple pieces of jewelry that spoke volumes of loyalty forever remained on the their person at college, at work, at their marriage even and through the years afterwards that they raised a family together.

Sometimes, promises between children were forgotten. Sometimes, even promises between adults faded from memory. Yet, thankfully, the promise between Isaac Grant and Nelanee Eaton was never lost to them. For through it, with love in their hearts, they faced the world each day bravely hand in hand.

During it all, even when they withered and age caught up with them... they stilled love one another. More than the water itself.
