The pen screeched across the white board as the gang sat quietly around Ruby. New additions such as Scott, Sally and Chloe waited happily, glad to be in friendly hands once again. Scott was still quite tired; he had spent the whole night with Miranda, watching her sleep and feeling her heartbeat that he had missed so dearly. Chloe and Mitch had been getting to know each other again, squeaking late on into the night. Sally, however, had not had the luck of the others. She spent most of her time in the practice range, firing at target after target in an attempt to become the best markswomen she could be. Maybe it was the lack of Krystal, maybe it was the parental drive to protect her children; Sally spent all her time expending magazine after magazine with a single minded drive of a broken spirit. Pressing the lid back on the marker with a satisfying snap, Ruby gave the group a reassuring yet grave smile. "Krystal's trial is nearing it's opening," began Ruby, pacing to and fro past the board, "And with the resounding evidence against her, the jury's part will effortless. To fully clear her name we must recover the rest of the team." "Now!" she exclaimed, slapping her hand on the white board, "We have several others to go. Rouge, Renamon, Lalon, Mina, Fox and Falco are still missing. Have split the whole team up into different groups. I have split us up into four groups for which one will stay back in surveillance and aid. Team One will consist of me, Chloe and Mitch. Team Two will be Blaire, Miranda, Streak and Naomi. Team Three are Cassandra, Jewel and Sly. The fourth Team is Raven, Aerial and Sally who will stay here as support." "But, but..." cried Sally in protest. "But nothing Mum. Krystal wouldn't want you sacrificing your life. We need at least one mother; you need to stay here." Ruby could see the tears forming in Sally's eyes but she knew it was for her own good. Sally wasn't as trained in fighting as the girls were and it seemed to be the safest option. Interrupting Sally's protests, Ruby continued with her plan, "I have spilt the teams up for each of the missing members and Team Four as surveillance for any location they can give us." She produced three dossiers and handed them to Streak and Cassandra, keeping one for herself. "Team One have Fox and Falco, Team Two must secure Rouge and Lalon with Team Three locating Renamon and Mina." "I'm not going after Rouge..." called a dark voice from the back. Blaire sat at the back on a lone chair with a dire look about her. "Oh how nice of you to join us Blaire! And why exactly won't you go after Rouge?" Picking on the tone Ruby gave her, Blair pulled herself heavily from the stool and advanced to the front. Grabbing Ruby by the neck and shunting her into the board, she whispered in her ear, "Because I said so." Ruby struggled in her grip as Blaire finally let her go and left, leaving the team in silent speculation.

Taking a deep breath, Sly plucked up his courage as much as possible, clearing his head before beginning his plan. Knocking before he entered, Sly rushed soberly into Jewel's room. "Jewel? Do you mind if I talk to..." Sly found her tucked up in her bed, facing the wall, "...you? What's wrong?" Her quiet sniffles showed she had been crying for quite sometime. Wiping away her tears and concealing what she was holding so dearly, she turned to Sly with raw eyes. "I'm sorry Sly. Did you need to speak to me?" Closing the door behind him, Sly sat concerned by her and held her whites with the utmost care. He stroked the hair away from her face with the delicacy of saint and changed his tone to that of sympathy and care. "What's wrong Jewel?" Tears began to form in Jewel's eyes once again. Grabbing something from under her pillow, Jewel produced the Fatalis in it's scabbard. Engraved on the side was a message. ‘To the greatest girl in the world. May my blade keep you safe, Fang XXX'. Sly knew Jewel's heart was heavy from the untimely death of her father. Sly could empathise; he lost his father at such a young age and was left with nothing. Pulling her into a warm embrace, he held her to his chest. She began to weep again as he held her as tightly as he could, protecting her from all sin and pain.

Mitch flew across the room and firmly against the wall, collapsing in a heap at the feet of his adversary. The figure just chuckled as Mitch spat out the blood and rubbed his aching head. He knew he had to think fast. Charging at her and jumping into a flying kick, Chloe easy grabbed his leg and flung him to the other side of the room. Again, Mitch's face was buried in the mat. "Come on honey! When we're in bed your energetic and keen but as soon as I don some clothes your all Mr 'No-Play'. Get up!" Mitch just snarled at Chloe's taunts. To spur him on through sheer patronising wit, Chloe turn her back to him and patted her arse playfully. "You don't even deserve to kiss you arse which you gracefully told me to do so many times." If Mitch was going to win, Mitch knew he had to get rough. Pulling out a small bottle of whiskey, Mitch took a swig and flung it at Chloe. Chloe was caught unaware and fired a blast of flames, igniting the alcohol and sent her flying backwards. Taking the opportunity, Mitch tackles her back to the ground as she tried to recover and held her arms above her head. "Let me go!" she called, angrily. "Break my hold. Go flame, go on!" Chloe looked deep into Mitch's eyes with a severity to match that of frontline soldier. It didn't take long for that to wear off as her smile broke through. Mitch leaned down for a passionate kiss as he released her and Chloe grabbed his back.

Raven and Sly sat in the on the floor in the ranges, fiddling with a large hunk of metal. Sly wore a crushed expression painted in sore red. "So what happened?" questioned Raven, wrenching a nut tighter on the contraption. "I was comforting her and...the smell of her hair, the glisten in her eyes. I also had a good view of her rack," replied Sly, ashamed with himself. "Let me get this straight," began Raven, placing his wrench down and taking a swig of water, "She was crying over her Dad and you were there to comfort her. Little Sly decided to come out to play and poked her in the thigh. She then slapped you." "Yeah, basically. I'm such an idiot!" cried Sly with a slap to the forehead. "Yes," sighed Raven, "Yes you are. Now help me with this." Pulling themselves to their feet, the two began to lift the large contraption. Sly positioned himself underneath with a shoulder support and sight. Raven stood by a control panel behind. "Target range?" began Raven. "300 yards." "Material?" "Reinforced brick." "Within sight?" "Yep. Ready to fire." With the simple pull of a trigger, a huge blast of pure energy screeched from the barrel and slammed into the brick wall down the range. The blast shook the entire lair and, when the smoke cleared, nothing was left. Sly gave Raven a high five as the pair packed the weapon away. (((Just a sort of a filler I guess.
