As a small story of the C. Brothers, how they were when they were children, Keino was 9 years older, as Joe was 3 years old, making Keino 12 years old.
Keino was a caring older brother that protected his pup brother, even though he lived a rough childhood, he makes sure Joe doesn't go through the same thing. but something may break their bonds... forever..

Innocent Bonds
As while I can remember, me, and my older brother Jav, calls himself Keino, could get along most times as kids, and we sometimes have fights due to mom choosing favorites which aggravates Keino that would lead him to getting little ticked off at me, but He would change his mood, and held me tight, forgiving me and apologizes about his behavior.
He would take me places, like arcades, the park, amusement parks, the movies, and so many more! He'll hold my hand and walk me around safely anywhere, and when I would get tired, he places me on his back and gives me a lift home. When we get home, our mom would pick me up and put me to bed, as then again Keino had a moody expression on his face.
Once in bed, mother would turn off the lights, and walks out. As in a moment, I would hear Keino and Mom auguring and yelling from the living room. I really didn't know much but I would hear that my brother would hang out with bad crowd, and cause trouble. Keino explains much about his part that it's untrue and he never cause much trouble as he was there at the wrong time.
The yelling stopped after Keino left and slammed the door to the house, as minutes later, my mother would cry for a bit. I never like to hear mommy cry for anything that would hurt her.
As few hours pass, my mother was already in bed, and my sister wasn't home as she was spending the night at her friend's place. I awoken to a noise of the front door of the house opened, then it slammed shut as noise of foot-steps gotten little loud, I crawl out of the bed, and walk slowly to the door as I started to open it slowly, as then I see my brother walking down the hallway to his room, as he then closes his door.
I begin to open my door wide open, and slowly walk to Keino's room door, as I open it slowly, as then I see Keino sitting on the bed, shrugging, as he pulls his hands down but left his left hand on his head, as he sighs, in depression and shame.
"Why... I just don't understand mother.. She thinks I do something wrong, but it isn't! It's a damn good reason why I do what I did!- Wha? Joey?.. What you doing up?.." Keino sees his little brother standing behind the door, and the pup hide a bit, but after Keino speaks outs to Joe, the pup kid pokes his head out and says.
" I couldn't sleep.. I had scary dreams, and I heard you came inside.."
Seeing the expression on Keino's face as his concerned mood turns to caring, as he sighs and looks back at me.
"Heh, Well bro, you want to sleep next your big brave brother, so he can keep the bad boogeyman away? He pats on his bed as he would guard me, and keep me safe from the nightmares, as I nodded and walk toward my brother's bed, and hop on to his bed as I lay my head on his side as I tailwag.
"Well someone's happy to see his brother, you silly little tyke." Keino rubs my head as I look up to him, as I look down and ask him some questions regarding to what happened earlier.
"Big brother... Why were you and mama yelling at each other?.." Keino had paused for a moment, as then he sighs, caressing my head softly with a deep breath released from his sighing, he held his hand on my head and started to tell me a story to why that the argument had happened.
"You see, puppy. Mom and I had a disagreement about how I run my own life, and she tries.. to be motherly about my life, even though she had me sent away while you were a little puppy, you couldn't understood what happened, sighs... mom wasn't ready to care for me when I was your age.
So now, she wants to send me to her father to look after me till she becomes fully able, and I become mature and different..
I may leave soon, Joey.." As I heard the reasons, and knowing my brother will be gone soon, I held on to his arms, crying in tears. Telling Keino that I never want him to go, knowing we all were a big happy family.
"DON'T GO!! PLEASE.... You're always there to keep me safe and happy... even try to cheer mama up..." speaking the words to him, Keino sighs and pats my head. He tries to hide his tear from his eyes, as he picks me up and kiss me on the cheek and smiles.
"I'll come back, little guy. It'll be little while, Once I become 18, I'll return and take you to fun places, and teach ya a few things I will learn while I'm away." Keino smiles happily even though there little sadness in his voice and emotions.
He pull me to bed next to him and says this to me.
"Let's try to have fun while I'm here before I go, tomorrow we'll go to city and go check out the parade of floats, how that sounds?"
I nodded, and smile as he smiles and responds back to me saying.
"All right then! Then downtown it is! Better get some sleep, otherwise you won't wake up in time for the parade."
Keino closed his eyes, and fell asleep as I'm still awake, wondering about how it'll be like with my brother gone and out of my life for the next 7 years, would he keep his promise to return and bond more?
I fell to sleep, and dream away till it becomes morning. My older brother woke me up and we both went to the restroom and brush our teeth, as he tells me not to swallow the paste till he pat the back of my head as I accidentally swallow the toothpaste..
It wasn't a big deal since it's a one time that this happened, as we finished our morning chore, and freshen up, we went to the city and watch the parade, as after that, we did a lot of stuff all day, and the next day, and the day after.
As that day is nearing, my older brother and mama were yelling again, and this time it became bad... Keino tries to lay his hands on mama, he raise his fist to her, but he turned slowly and sees me standing there from the hallway, watching him on what he about to do.
He stopped, and ran out through the back door. As it's raining outside, it started to become worse with lightning that seem to strike closer and closer to where we were, in a second, mama went outside after Keino to get him back inside before something bad happens.
But hours pass, I stand by the door, seeing the rain calming down as I heard ambulances outside in the road near the woods of which my older brother ran off to.
Someone was coming to the house, as it was mother with a few fire fighters, for some reasons, mom was crying deeply, screaming in agony, as she held in her both hands was Keino's jacket.... as a moment passed, mom came inside and held me tight, as I see and hear her crying deeply.
As soon she told me what happened... I started to cry too....
"No.... he's not gone... he promises he'll come back and take me place and show me stuff...b-but... why he's gone mama..!!.."
I cry into mom's arms and knowing my brother was killed in the fire in the woods, it was started when the lightning struck a tree as it landed on Keino and burnt him to.... I couldn't believe it that he was gone..
Will he rest in peace?.. I don't know about that till this day...
