Dimensional mischief pt6
My eyes slowly opened, My head was ringing and I still felt weak. I could only see out of one eye because my other had been covered.I soon noticed that my face was against something warm and soft. It was Avery's chest. Bare chest. It was so quiet that I could hear every beat that his heart made. My body was nestled in between his wings and torso. I felt my skin against his furry body. That's when it occurred to me, Was I naked? I carefully tilted my head down towards my waist.I was luckily wearing boxers and Avery was as well, I thought it was awkward but it felt amazing. I had put together that he probably had removed my clothes because they had blood on them, The heat being radiated from our bodies kept me warm and his wing held the heat in like a blanket. I felt safe and I felt secure. I guessed that it wasn't morning yet so decided not to try and wake the bat up. I only had one other option, which was going back to sleep. I rested my head back against Avery's chest. I closed my eyes and let his heartbeat lull me back to sleep.
We had escorted the aliens inside the bunkhouse. We sat around with our guns still in hand. We had no idea how we got here or where we were and we didn't have a clue what the creatures that we captured were.
"Maybe we've been invaded" Alan said. Alan was one of the older boys and had more experience than most of us.
"No that wouldn't explain why we aren't on the Base anymore" another boy stated.
"Well if they didn't come to us what if" I said before pausing to think.
"What if?" another boy said annoyed.
"Well think about it we aren't on earth anymore". I said pausing. "I think we're in a different dimension" I said bluntly.
"Impossible" Josh shouted in disbelief.
Sgt Luxer and his men were terrified. They were out on patrol and had been ambushed by, well they didn't no what by. They were outgunned and had to surrender. Sgt Luxer could have sworn that the building they escorted him and his men in wasn't there before. He and his men were moved to the top left corner of the bunkhouse and were motioned by one of the creatures to sit down. He and his men observed the creature's which had gathered together. They started talking but the words were unknown to Luxers ears. They seemed to be discussing something. The creature's voices started to raise making Luxer and his men nervous. The Sgt started to fear for the worst.
Avery woke up and yawned. He looked down to see the kid still sleeping. He was snuggled against his chest and was snoring softly. Avery couldn't help but think that the boy was adorable, He smiled and began to get out of bed. He carefully removed his wings from under and around the boy trying not to wake him. After all he did need rest. Avery quietly crept of the bed and pulled the covers over the boy to keep him warm and comfortable. Once satisfied the bat started his morning routine which involved showering, getting changed and of course breakfast. After thinking about breakfast he remembered that the boy may be hungry, so as well as new clothes because of the blood. Avery also had to pick up something for the kid to eat. He made a note and headed out towards the private showers.
I woke up for the second time but only to find that Avery wasn't there. I sighed. Since the day I'd been attacked I didn't like to be on my own. Without Avery, I had no protection and in this state it scared me, I pulled myself up and leaned against the wall so that it looked like I was sitting. I started thinking about this whole mess. How did I end up here? Was it going to turn out OK? What if I told the others that I was in love with one of the aliens? How would they react?. My deep thinking was interrupted when Avery had entered the room, He was carrying a few bags. I smiled because I felt safe again.
Avery looked at me and smiled "sleep well?" he asked while setting the bags down.
"yeah great thanks to you" I stated.
"you were so adorable this morning" Avery said
"no i wasn't" I said definitely. Avery chuckled
"yes you were and you were snoring to" he said.
"nuhuh" i said in a childish way. Avery laughed at how quickly the kid had reacted to his statement. Avery approached the kid and kneeled down. He kissed the boys head.
"how's your head sweetie" he asked softly.
"it still hurts" I said as if he had just me asked a stupid question.
"you did that just for an excuse to kiss me didn't you?" I said
"no" he said with a wicked grin. He leaned down to my face and made contact with my mouth.We kissed exploring each others mouths. Then we broke apart. "now why would I do that hun?" Avery said playfully. The boy didn't answer he was in shock after the bats actions. Avery laughed and then headed back to his desk.
"So what now?" the boy asked.
"well I think we should have some fun".
