Journey to Another World 2

Ch. 4

I arrived at the center just as nurse Joy was about to lock up the doors. I quickly ran up to the doors and she smiled to me as he opened one of the doors for me. I nodded to her as I stopped just inside the doors.

"I was afraid that I wouldn't make it before you closed up for the night." I leaned over and tried to get my breathing under control.

"I take it that the Gardevoir that brought in the Riolu earlier is yours then?" I looked up at her and nodded. After I had my breathing under control I stood up.

"How is she?" She smiled to me.

"She is doing just fine, if you wish to see her all you have to do is go into the first observation room on the left. Oh and before I forget your Gardevoir is there with her." I thanked her and walked through the doors under the syringe. The first rooms that I passed were of course the emergency rooms which I was glad that they weren't in. The rooms to the back were the observation rooms. I walked to the first room and looked in through the window in upper part of the door. Jenavee was sitting in a chair next to the bed and Rena was nodding to her. I walked over to the door and gently knocked.

"Is that you Donovin?"

"Yes Jenavee, it's me. Can I come in?"

"Of course." So I slowly opened the door and I saw Rena there with a sad look on her face. I walked over to her and sat down next to her on the bed. I pulled Rena into a big hug and held her there. She began to weep. "I would have to say that I am very surprised though. When I saw that Purugly, I knew that it was a high level. Rena really surprised me, I thought that she would be beaten pretty badly back there. But she held her own until you got there." I rubbed her head until she stopped crying.

"Please master do not leave me alone again." I rubbed the back of her head then kissed her on her forehead.

"You just rest now Rena. That lady wont hurt you any more. I promise." She looked up at me and gave me a sad smile. "I promise Rena, I wont leave you alone like that again. Now how about all of us go and get some sleep." Rena nodded to me then I looked over at Jenavee.

"What about the um, what do you call it? You know, that little plastic house that we were going to sleep in."

"The tent?" She nodded

"What about your tent? Are you going to leave it out there all night? Also, what about our supplies" I thought for a moment.

"I'm going to have to leave them. Rena is my main concern right now. I can always go out and buy a new tent and supplies." I rubbed Rena's head again. "Well I'm going to go ask nurse Joy if she has any rooms that we can spend the night in. In the morning we will leave early to see if everything is still there." Rena looked over to Jenavee then started to talk to her. I got off the bed then Jenavee got up as well and met me half way across the room.

"Rena says that you should not wait. We can get a room while you go out and get the tent and supplies." I reached up and rubbed her cheek. I turned to Rena and smiled.

"Thanks Rena, but if I leave right now I probably wont be able to get back inside. So you both relax and I will be right back." Jenavee nodded then walked back to sit down nest to Rena. I gave them both a smile, then left the room.

"Jenavee I have a question."

"What is it Rena?"

"Do you think the master really cares about me?" I stopped in mid step and walked back to the door.

"Now that is a silly question. Of course he cares about you. Why would he not?"

"It looks to me that I am nothing but trouble for him. I know that I am weak, and I can not hold my own against another Pokemon, but he seems to go out of his way to be nice to me. Tell me Jenavee, is there any way I can repay him?"

"Well Rena, I think the first thing you could do is stop beating yourself up over this. Your opponent was far stronger and had a lot more experience than you."

"I know, but do you think that there is any way I could help him?" There was a pause for a moment.

"I think that the best way you could help him, is to help yourself. He is so concerned with your safety, that he will probably not leave you alone out there. So my advise is that you should train really hard, so he doesn't have to worry about you so much." They continued to talk back and forth for a while. So I decided that I had heard enough and walked up to the trainer rooms and looked around for an empty one. After a little while I found an open room and walked inside. The bed looked like someone had jumped on it a bit, but other than that the room looked clean.

'Jenavee can you hear me?'

"Yes Donovin. Did you find an open room?"

'Yes. So bring Rena with you.' I reached over and turned on a light that was on the desk. I walked over to the door and looked out. I saw Jenavee carrying Rena up the last steps of the stairs. The two walked on up and stopped at the door. I rubbed Rena's head and then stepped aside. That night I paid a little more attention to Rena while bathing her. I felt so bad for her. She really did feel down about that last battle and I wanted to help.

That night, after Rena and Jenavee had fallen asleep I stayed awake and wondered. What it would be like to find those legendary Pokemon? I knew that I could probably find them if this was like the movies but instead it was just the game. So I thought about what the game would have in store for us next. I thought about the weird guys that we had come up against. Then the thought of how Rena was so badly hurt when she went up against that other lady. Anger started to flair up in me at the thought of either Rena or Jenavee getting hurt. I would do anything to make sure that that didn't happen again.

Then a thought jumped into my mind. I realized that on the cover of this game was the blue legendary Pokemon. What if the one that I seek, isn't in this game? What if I couldn't find a way to return to my world with Rena, Jenavee, or Feebas? A slow smile crept across my lips. Then I would stay here with them. I slowly turned to look at Jenavee then Rena. I kissed Rena on her forehead, then gently kissed Jenavee. So I closed my eyes and went to sleep.

Ch. 5

The next morning I awoke to the light that was coming in through the window. I looked over and saw that both Jenavee and Rena were not there. With that, I started to panic and looked around the room from the bed. ‘Did team Galactic find us and take Jenavee and Rena away?' Then the door slowly opened and Jenavee walked in carrying in a tray, and Rena was dragging some sort of pack in her teeth. I laughed when I saw Rena carrying something like that and with relief as well.

"So where have the two of you been?" Jenavee walked in and set the tray down on the table that was against the far wall and then walked over and sat down next to me on the bed.

"While you were sleeping, Rena and I went out and did a little training, then....." Rena started to bark at Jenavee. I looked down and saw that she still had the pack in her teeth. I reached down and she lay the pack down and the strap fell onto my palm. I pulled it up and realized that it was my pack.

"Tell him what we went out and got his stuff." Jenavee looked down at her and nodded.

"I was just about to. After we got in some training we went out and got your things." My eyes went wide. I looked down to Rena.

"Wait a moment. Rena you went out there without me?!" She gave me a nervous look. "Why did you do that? You could have been hurt and I wouldn't have been there to protect you." I got out of bed and knelt down in front of her. She looked down at the ground as if she had done something that she was ashamed of.

"Please do not be angry with her Donovin. It was all my idea." I looked up at her, then down at Rena.

"Alright, I wont get angry with you, but both of you promise me this." I looked up at Jenavee then down at Rena. "You both don't do that again." When I looked at the two of them in turn, they both nodded to me. "I don't tell you this because I'm trying to be mean, but I'm telling you this for your safety." They both looked at each other. "When I took that lady to the Police station, officer Jenny told me that there were more of those people around these parts."

"You mean those people that attacked Rena here?" I nodded. I looked down at Rena and saw that she had a worried look on her head so I rubbed her head.

"Yes, and I suspect that there are more of them out there somewhere." I rubbed Rena's head again. "So promise me Rena that you wont wonder to far away from me." She nodded

"I promise." She nodded.

"That's my girl. Now how about the three of us sit down and have some breakfast before we head out." With that the I release Feebas and the four of us ate our breakfast. Once we were done I changed into a fresh shirt and pants and we headed out. Our first destination was Floaroma Town. Given it's name I could tell that it probably had a lot of Flora (or plants if you didn't know). As we walked along the trail I could see many trainers talking with each other.

I overheard that several of them were talking about several sighting of this team Galactic. I looked down at Rena and she gave me a happy smile then bark. As we walked towards the next town my mind kept thinking about what officer Jenny had told me about. I wondered if or when then next time I would meet up with these guys. Well I put that to the back of my mind and started to think about how I was going to get to Floaroma Town. So once I left Jubilife City I saw a sign that was pointing North. On the sign it said that Floaroma Town was about 20 miles away.

So along the way there Jenavee and I challenged many different trainers and got in a lot of experience. Finally we arrived at a tunnel and their was a young man sitting against then entrance polishing a pokeball. I looked down at the boy and asked him.

"Is this the way to Floaroma Town?" The man looked up at me and nodded.

"Ya, but there is a problem."

"And what's that?" The boy returned the ball to his belt and stood. He threw his thumb over his shoulder and said.

"You see, their was a small earthquake a little while back and some rocks fell onto the path that leads to Floaroma Town. Those rocks are quite large and I'm afraid that nobody is able to remove them at this time." So I thanked the man and said that we would take a look and see if their was anything we could do. The boy shook his head and returned to polish another pokeball.

So the three of us walked into the cave and found out that their had indeed been a rock slide and a set of large boulders were blocking our path. The rocks were so large it would nearly impossible to remove them by hand, and their was hardly any space to squeeze over the top of them.

"Well shoot. Now how are we supposed to get through that?" I turned around and sat against the rocks. Jenavee stepped forward and placed one of her hands against the rock and closed her eyes.

"I am afraid that I can not sense any weak points in this rock." I looked up to her. "If I did, I might be able to use my psychic abilities to push them apart." I nodded then started to think. Just then Rena walked forward and started to talk to Jenavee.

"Jenavee, tell our master that I might have an idea." Jenavee nodded then turned to me.

"Rena says that she might have an idea as to how we might be able to get through."

"Really Rena? That would be great." With that the two of them started to talk about this and that and finally they stopped and turned to me.

"Rena says that if the two of us use our attacks at the same time, we might be able to open a crack big enough for you to squeeze through." I smiled and gave Rena a quick rub on the head.

"You know, this would be the first time the both of you were to act as a team. If this works then we might be able to use this if we are challenged to a two on two battle." I looked down at Rena. "Well that is if Rena ever gets over her fear of battling." Rena let out a happy bark then turned to Jenavee.

"Tell him I would like to try and battle someone, after we get out of here." I smiled then turned to Jenavee.

"She says......" I held up my hand and smiled.

"Jenavee did Rena just say something?" Jenavee eyes went wide, then she looked down at Rena. Rena steps forward and jumps into my lap and places her front paws on my chest and looks directly into my eyes.

"Can you understand me master?" I give her a long look then turn to Jenavee and ask.

"I think I understand what she said but it was still a little fuzzy."

"She just asked you if you can understand her." I turn back to Rena and smile to her.

"It may be a little fuzzy, but I think I can almost understand you Rena." She jumps off my chest and starts jumping around the cave. I started to laugh because right before she would jump she would give a happy yip. This repeated for quite a while until she ran back to me and tackled me.

"You do not know how happy this makes me." With that she starts to give me a tongue bath. I couldn't stop laughing because her tongue really tickled. Finally she finishes with my bath and jumps off my chest. "Master I would like to ask a favor of you."

"Of course Rena. If I can I will be glad to help you out with anything you need." A slow smile crept across her lips.

"I know that you have been avoiding putting me in battles, but I would like to start battling now. That is if you are there watching over me." This news couldn't be more pleasing to my ears.

"Rena that's wonderful. Have you really gotten over your fear of battling?" She gave me a nervous nod. I guess she was still scared of battling, but was willing to overcome her fears. "Alright but before you go into any battles we need to see about getting around these boulders." I looked up to Jenavee then down to Rena and they both nodded. "Ok Rena, I need to know if you learned any new attacks while you were out training with Jenavee." She cocked her head to think for a moment.

"Actually I did. Would you like me to show you?" I thought for a moment.

"You know what, I think it would be best if you told me about it first." She nodded. "That way I can think of how we might be able to use it to get through these boulders."

"Well, I pull back my right front paw then thrust it forward. I have gotten so good, I can hit dead center of a target almost every time." I nodded and got up. I placed my hand on the rock and started to look it over. "Master what are you doing?" I turned around and took a knee.

"First of all, I'm checking to see if these rocks have any cracks." She gave me a curious look. "I mean, if we can find a crack in one of these rocks and hit it just right it might just break the bolder apart. Second, I would like you to call me by my name. Ok?"

She nodded to me and I started to check over the rocks again. After checking the rock for a few minutes I found the rock on the right had a giant crack down it's side.

"Perfect." Jenavee walked over and placed her hand on the rock and looked at the crack.

"This crack runs almost all the way through the whole entire rock."

"Jenavee, could you check and see where the weakest part of this crack is." She turned and nodded to me. She turned back to the rock and closed her eyes. Then something weird happened. A purple glow started to surround the rock, when just as fast as it happened, the glow started to fade away.

"It seems that there are a few cracks in this rock." She turned to face me and pointed to the upper left part of the rock. "There are several cracks in this rock. If Rena were to hit this exact spot pretty hard, then the cracks will combine and this rock will fall apart." So I turn and look down at Rena.

"How about it Rena? Think you can do it?" I tap the rock and she nods.

"Sure I can do it, but there is a problem." I kneel down and look at her with a questioning look.

"What's wrong Rena? You don't think you might be able to do it?"

"I said that I could, but I just can not reach that far up." She looked kind of sad but I rubbed her head as I laughed at the simplicity of her answer.

"Alright Rena if there is anything I can do to help, let me know." She nodded.

"Actually, if you could lift me up and hold me tight. I am pretty sure that I can hit that spot." I nodded and lifted her up and held her close to the place where Jenavee had pointed at. Rena pulled her paw back then I could see it start to glow a silver color. Then she let the punch fly and the she hit the rock dead on it left upper side.
