Special Shout Out;

In loving memory of all those that showed me the way whenever I got lost or distracted. I miss all of you horribly but, I know you're still watching over me from above.

(Launa Moon Viander, Sabrina Breckenridge, Lady Azrealle aka Azzy, and Sayber are all owned by, https://xennydiemes.sofurry.com/ )

"Look, I don't know if you noticed but, that son of bitch isn't an easy enemy. If you think for a second you're going to fight him on your own than think again. I'm not about to let you fight that asshole on your own sorry not going to happen." Sabrina said. Upon hearing that I stopped stretching, turned to face her and walked over. Launa watched as I walked over then without warning I knocked Sabrina on her ass.

"Sabrina is it? ... Do not underestimate what I'm capable of and I don't intend to lose. All of you will stay here until Azzy receives my signal or you'll regret it." I said. While Sabrina stood back up, Launa grabbed my shoulder forcing me to look back. Looking up into her steel blue eyes I could see she wasn't going to interfere. "Alright, Nova seeing as you're determined but, permit me to give you a small boon." Launa replied.

With her other hand she offered me the handle of Ravenaire then smiled. She allowed me use her weapon again then leaned over and kissed my forehead. Next Launa moved the others away from ground zero but, Sayber didn't move. "Sayber come on there's nothing more we can do, besides we might get another chance." She stated. The tiopard looked at Launa worried then looked over her left shoulder at me.

Only to watch my walked towards the large glowing ring sword in hand. Where my dark self or Lord Courahn as he was called by Insutra the wolf mother. "Lord Courahn do you have any issues with me using this sword in our fight?" I asked. Looking at me with the large sword in hand and allowed me to use Ravenaire. Considering he wasn't all that worried seeing as he was confident I'd lose anyway.

Granted he was aware that I was allowed an assist that could be used anytime. His plan was simple end this fight quickly before I can gain any sort of ground. Being allowed to use all of his powers against me shouldn't take all that long. Upon entering the energy ring the soft light flashed briefly revealing a dome barrier. Now locked inside I took a deep breath then readied myself for an uphill road.

Launching towards me claws at the ready, luckily I defended at the last second. When his claws slammed against the blade of Ravenaire a blast wave rippled out. Wisely I thrusted the large sword forward, forcing him to back up several steps. Tossing Ravenaire into my other hand then spinning around with all my strength. Courahn brought his left arm up to block as the sword came around and made contact.

The speed and mass of the sword alone was enough to knock him to the floor. Jumping up while keeping the spin going I swung the blade portion towards him. At the last second Courahn rolled out of harm's way as the blade came down. When the blade hit the ground it kicked up a cloud of dust then I smelled blood. Looking down I saw a still twitching severed right forearm lying against Launa's sword.

Shifting my gaze towards him, only to see him clutching his injured forearm. With a sickening laugh his missing limb quickly grew back after a few seconds. Once the regeneration ended he quickly followed up with a wide array of blows. Fortunately I was able to get Ravenaire up in time to defend from his assault. Gathering a portion of my energy then with a shout the shockwave knocked him back.

As he landed a short distance away I chased him down then reached back. Quickly he crossed his arms ready to deflect only to see me pass right through him. Using Ravenaire like an oversized baseball bat I slapped him across the spine. A blast wave rippled out and launched him high into the air until he hit the barrier. Bolts of energy shot out causing him to scream in pain and tore up the ground below.

He was stuck up there for a good while before the energy surge died down. Not wasting any time I dashed towards him as he began to descend to the ground. Using the sword like cricket bat I smacked him hard in the stomach this time. The impact carried more force behind it as he slammed back against the barrier. Lighting him up like a christmas tree while he writhed and screamed in sheer agony.

From where I stood he wasn't having fun being charred broiled like a steak. Adjusting Ravenaire in my hand then I threw the large sword like a heavy spear. At this time energy surge had begun dying down until the blade pierced his flesh. Courahn really howled in pain as he was pinned against the barrier by Launa's sword. Sadly it would only be a matter of time before he was able to break free from that.

Between the sword in his spine and backlash from the barrier he was stuck. The pain being so overwhelming and being pinned like this proved to be worse. When he was finally able to gather the strength to pull himself free from the barrier. As Courahn fell to the ground I willed Ravenaire back to me as he hit the ground. Let's just say he was royally pissed at the fact he got schooled by a mere mortal.

The second I slung Ravenaire over my shoulder he finally counter attacked. A wave of black energy raced towards me faster than I had time to even react. Fortunately for me I was able to get the weapon down in time to deflect the blast. Ravenaire absorbed a majority of the energy but, I was still sent skidding backwards. Sadly that was merely a sign of the onslaught to come as he unleashed everything.

For some reason or another I could feel Ravenaire buckling under the pressure. Not wanting to be responsible for it breaking I needed to end this fight for good. Waiting patiently for a slight pause then I readied myself for when he resumed. Slapping his next volley aside like a toy and before he could follow up I whistled. The sound was annoying to Courahn and as for the others all they heard was silence.

Wisely reaching out telepathically then started speaking directly into her mind. <Azzy, it's Nova I'm doing my best to talk to you while keeping him distracted. You know that energy orb I left with you I've decided to call that assist in now. The only way I'm ever going to beat this ass clown is if we combine our power. You're gonna have to convince Launa, Sabrina and Sayber to share their energy.> I stated.

Azzy wasn't prepared for that but, she didn't waste time sharing her power. Sharing every ounce of energy she could until the raven dropped to one knee. Feeling a little light headed and once she recovered Azzy passed the word along. Now they heard her correctly and when they saw her present state they wisely refused. Of course what none of them expected her to demand a reason behind their choice.

Naturally that's when an argument started giving Courahn the edge he needed. First thing he did was slap Ravenaire out of my hands then snatched my throat. Next he started to apply pressure upon my windpipe slowly denying me oxygen. At this moment someone must've been watching over me when Sayber turned. When she noticed what was going on in the ring and tossed caution to the wind.

The tiopard clutched the orb in Azzy's hands then offered all of her strength. As her power poured in she slowly transformed back into her human form. When she let the orb go it flashed with a vibrant color alerting Launa and Sabrina. Before either warrior could say anything to Sayber about her actions she spoke. "Either you two help Nova or do nothing and everything will be destroyed." She growled.

Sayber wisely redirected their attention towards the ring to prove her point. When they saw I was nearing death's door they wasted no time sharing their power. Much like Sayber, Sabrina wasn't able to sustain her wolven form for long. As for Launa she grew extremely weak and collapsed the second the transfer ended. Reacting quickly Azzy spun around on her heels, aimed then launched the energy orb.

It flew through the air like a comet and passed through the barrier easily. Sadly with everything around me turning black fast I tried my best to reach out. Just like a pair of magnets the orb and my hand connected at the very last second. Using what little strength I had left remaining then pressed the orb into my chest. Before Courahn or anyone else could react the entire astral plane was bathed in light.

The orb merged slowly into my being then this strange pulse knocked him away. As I crumpled to the ground with a heavy thud another huge blast wave erupted. It sent Courahn, Launa, Sabrina, Azzy and even Sayber rolling like tumble weeds. This was followed up by another flash of light forcing everyone to shield their eyes. Next a sudden surge of power struck that was followed up by an unreal transformation.

My body responded to the increase in power by bulking itself up in response. Fusing with Launa's feral form, Sabrina's superwere form and Sayber's hybrid traits. All that physical power permitted me to morph into a beast of ungod-like proportions. Then came harnessing all the magical energy Launa, Azzy and Sayber provided me. As the intense light faded away thus signaling the end of my startling change.

Standing before everyone was a hybrid unlike anyone had ever seen before. At over thirty feet tall, muscles that shamed the gods and blazing green eyes. Launa and the other's were the first to see my new state and they couldn't believe it. While they eyed me from head to toe, Courahn slowly stood back on his feet. When he finally noticed something was wrong he wisely turned around to face me.

Now if it were physically possible Courahn's jaw would have hit the ground. He was paralyzed with fear giving me an edge I needed to make the next attack. Swinging my leg out slamming it hard into his chest sending him high into the air. Sailing through the air like a limp rag until he hit the barrier with bone breaking force. While he screamed in pain I called Ravenaire then shared some of the same energy.

The energy made Ravenaire grew ten times it's original size to fit in my hand. It didn't take long for Courahn to pry himself free and land back onto the ground. Normally my sense of honor would've kicked in but, for some reason it didn't. Calling forth every single ounce of magic currently coursing though my whole body. Focusing all that power into a singular point then prepared to make the final strike.

Seeing as my time in this hulking form wasn't going to last for much longer. I swung Ravenaire out to the side first then hooked the weapon up above my head. Then thrusting the large weapon down striking the ground launching my attack. When the blade hit the ground a large beam of light raced across the ground. Courahn prepared to deflect my attack back at me and that's where he went wrong.

The energy wave was merely a diversion that's when my true attack appeared. Springing up from behind him then wrapped around his body like a constrictor. When he began to struggle the energy bindings only coiled tighter around him. For some reason or another I recalled something Insutra said before she departed. She told me when Courahn passed through the barrier his immortality was stripped.

Granted I'll admit there was some small part of me that desired to kill him. Sadly I wasn't going to sink so low instead I chose a fate that would be far worse. Imprisoning him inside my mind like he did to me should drive him utterly insane. Though I had to make sure that he won't be able to find a way to escape from it. Once a design came to mind I drew upon all the power coursing through my veins.

I changed Ravenaire back to normal before placing it down on the ground. From there I turned and started walking slowly towards where Courahn lay. As I stood over him he stopped struggling until I reached down with my hand. Placing my large hand upon his torso that's when I began chanting an ancient spell. Nothing happened right away but, when the ground shook the magic began working.

This large hexagonal prison rose up around him and incased him within. Once the complex prison was sealed and properly secure I calmly stepped back. There were two things remaining, return the power I borrowed and open a portal. Reaching carefully into my chest then gently removed the orb from inside my chest. Next my hulking form slowly reverted to normal then extended the energy ball out.

With an exhale the orb broke into five separate spheres as the barrier vanished. Four of the orbs raced back to their owners restoring them back to full strength. "I thank you for sharing all your powers with me but, it's time for you to leave. *opens a portal.* That gateway will take all of you directly back to your bodies. Azzy, please don't forget there's one thing left to fulfill once all of you are back." I smiled weakly.

Sabrina and Sayber were the first two to leave this realm followed by Azzy. Launa retrieved Ravenaire first then she quietly made her way towards the portal. Finally back in their bodies and the real world the group took a moment to rest. While they regained their bearings and processed everything they have just experienced. It was rather hard to believe that someone like me was able to defeat a god like, Courahn.

"I'm happy that he won but, honestly I was expecting him to tear him apart. Doubly so when all of us decided to share our immense power with that human. Granted he used our combined strength to imprison that dark god was anti-climatic. He should've at least smacked him around or burned him alive, Hell I would've." Launa whined. Sabrina couldn't help laughing while Azzy simply rolled her eyes as she ranted.

"Launa, Nova probably had his reasons for doing what he did back there. Right now I need to figure out a way to get him back in full control of his body." Azzy replied. As she made her way back towards the crater she heard the sounds of growling. When she stood near the crater's rim my body had reverted to a primal mentality. The others wished their friend luck as Azzy carefully scaled down the crater wall.

Once at the bottom I was pacing around searching for a way out of here. Until I sensed that I was longer alone in this place then I turned around to face her. Wisely Azzy stood still allowing me to make the first move but, I resumed my search. Waiting patiently before doing anything and when I looked away she moved in. Keeping her fingers crossed that I wouldn't view or treat the raven as a possible threat.

Fortunately luck was on the young raven's side as she touched my shoulder. Turning to face Azzy, she noticed that my eye color was brown not green. Like they were when she was inside the astral plane of my mind which confused her. Now her next move might've been seen as bold yet, very stupid on her part. As she reached up with both hands, palm side up stating she meant me no harm.

Of course when her fingers grazed my cheeks I flinched back and growled. Launa, Sabrina and Sayber heard that and raced towards the crater's rim. Azzy needed to change tactics then asked her friends to stay where they were. "Alright, Azzy we'll back off but, if he tries anything we're getting involved understand." Launa stated. Giving her friend the ok, she resumed trying to reach my still trapped personality.

Talking soothingly to me regained my attention then moved forward slowly. Keeping her arms open and palm side up while talking to me in a sweet voice. Feeling a bit more at ease around her this time around my beast form leaned down. Taking a moment to register her scent though when she reached up I moved away. She kept on talking reassuringly to me that she or the others weren't my enemies.

Something about the gentle tone in her voice helped me relax and lean closer. When her right hand caressed my cheek I flinched slightly because of her claws. Though I didn't pull completely away, as she placed her left hand under my chin. With her right hand she brushed the fur along my cheek then she started to speak. "Nova if you can hear me please give me some kind of sign that you're still in there." She said.

Granted nothing happened right away but, she kept trying to bring me around. Lady luck must've still been watching over her as my eyes flashed a soft green. They stayed steady for a bit then changed back then switched back and forth. After several minutes and when they remained a steady green she knew I resumed control. "A-A-AZ-ZzY?" I said in a deep bass like voice making her and everybody smile.

Doing my best to match Azzy's smile while in this large were beast like state. Suddenly this ping cascade throughout my entire body telling me I was in control. Next I reached out with both muscled arms then I gently grabbed her by the sides. Picking Azzy up from there I carried her towards the others and they helped her up. With a nod I stepped away from them and went back to the crater's center then focused.

With a strong roar my body was shrouded within a violet fluctuating barrier. "Okay, what the hell is that kid up to now?" Sabrina asked looking at the others. First I spread my arms out to the sides, turned my palms out then opened my mouth. All the energy within me was completely unbalanced and I needed to get it re-equalized. Now separating and equalizing them was the easy part but, merging them wasn't.

Until I was hit by a sudden spark of inspiration, I began inhaling deeply and slowly. The second my lungs couldn't take in anymore then focused all the excess energy there. With a soft and steady exhale this strong stream of black smoke exited my mouth. A subtle hissing sound alerted the other's as I continued to purge the extra power. Moments later lungs empty and excess negative energy removed from my being.

Next my body automatically morphed back to normal then I passed out. Launa and the others couldn't see anything going on through the blanket of smoke. "Sabrina you're probably not going to like what I'm about to say so please listen. Sayber and I are going down there to investigate and I need you to run defense." Launa said. Of course Azzy didn't see a major issue with such a plan but, Sabrina spoke up.

"Give me one good damn reason why I should?" Sabrina growled sourly. "Sayber and I are immortal for one, two this may be just a break in the action." Launa countered. With that said the two feline warriors scaled down crater's wall to the bottom. Sadly the remaining thick smoke hindered their ability to search for me effectively. Until the tiopard gave a powerful clap blowing the lingering smokescreen away.

Sure enough my unconscious form was a few yards from where they stood. Before Sayber could do anything Launa reached over and grabbed her shoulder. Launa was about to ask her to do something else when my spine started glowing. Thus stealing their attention and when the light faded leaving behind these silver spots. "Sayber could you take the others elsewhere I don't want them present." Launa said.

Sayber didn't argue when she saw the pained look written on Launa's face. Giving her friend's shoulder a parting squeeze the tiopard did as she was asked. Once Launa knew the others were gone she turned around and summoned her axe. "Forgive me for this but, your power mustn't be allowed to be unleashed again. If there was a way for you to gain control of this power, there's just too much at risk." Launa whispered.

Raising her weapon high above her head then swung down with lethal speed. As her weapon came, sailing towards my neck, Launa actually closed her eyes. *CLANG!* The sudden metallic sound forced Launa's eyelids to snap wide open. The first thing to fill her sight was the side portion of blade belonging to Ravenaire. Feeling horribly confused that her sword intervened but, that was just the beginning.

Granted I was still out for the count but, I heard Launa speaking to someone. From what I understood my savior started to plead with Launa to spare my life Of course she wasn't thrilled with the idea considering everything she's been through. Until she was reminded that fate is rarely fair to anybody that happens to be on the list. The experienced warrior looked over at me then with a sigh she dismissed her weapons.

"Thank you so much for sparing him, I'm positive my nephew won't fail you. Sadly Ms. Viander my time in this world has come to an end and I must return." He said. I learned later on that my uncle Almedia was one of several people to vouch for me. Before finally departing he restored my clothes, wished me luck and vanished. She studied me for a moment and with a shrug slung me over her left shoulder.

From there she walked over to the crater wall then began climb her way out. When she was a few feet from the rim Sayber appeared and offered her a hand. The two powerful feline interlocked their wrists then with a grunt she pulled us up. After moving away from the crater Sayber looked at Launa and asked she finished it. Reaching across her chest with her free hand she lifted me up revealing I was unharmed.

"Before you ask a relative of his paid me a visit then spoke on his behalf. Everything I've learned on and off the battlefield this goes against my better judgment. Though to have an angel appear like that wasn't what I expected to happen." She stated. Sayber smiled as she took me into her strong arms then rejoined the others. Azzy and Sabrina were waiting inside an abandoned hotel a mile from ground zero.

Three days came and went before I finally came to inside an empty room. Sitting up carefully, stretched while sitting then as I went to stand up I fell down. "Oh, good you're awake Nova, please take it easy you've been through a lot." Azzy smiled. When I looked at the raven standing in the doorway I noticed something odd. Shrouding her entire body was this red aura stating she was using a glamour spell.

"Don't remind me I feel rotten enough oh, you can cancel your spell Azzy." I said. She was quick to ask me how I could see her real form and told her I didn't know. Next we went downstairs to the dining room where everyone was waiting patiently. Sabrina and Sayber reverted to their human forms and Launa used a glamour spell. "Launa I can see your true form and I appreciate all your efforts to spare my sanity." I replied.

"Just how the hell are you able to tell, got X-ray vision or something Nova?" Sabrina asked. Giving her fingers a snap to cancel her spell then Launa walked over slowly. My head tilted up as the tall black furred feline stood before me then kneeled. "My guess is when tapped into this power, it allows you to pierce magical barriers. It would also explain why every attempt to use magic to restrain you failed." Launa replied.

"I'll be honest with you ladies I'd rather not learn how to control this power. From what I've seen and remember this power is just too unstable to be harnessed." I said. "That's all the reason you need to get the proper training to control it. Granted there's some risk but, I'm certain the benefits will out weigh the bad." Azzy pointed out. Despite having a good argument I still didn't have the desire to learn how to utilize it.

"Look, if you don't learn to control yourself than others will be in danger. You don't strike me as the kind of person that would put his family in harm's way." Sabrina stated. At that moment an image of my sister and grand parents suddenly filled my mind. Sabrina's honesty struck home in a big way and changed my mind about training. I couldn't put my remaining loved ones in danger with this strange power of mine.

Sadly before anything else could be said or done this weird sensation struck. Acting almost like I was on autopilot turned around and stormed out of the room. Once on the street I extended my left arm out straight then took a deep breath. Next my eyes flashed purple then a pop filled the air followed by a strange portal. The large smokey gateway swirled with a familiar power as everyone came outside.

Not bothering to waste time with words I dashed through the portal I created. Traversing thousands of miles to arrive back home in the middle of a parking lot. The next thing I picked up on was a fight going on several yards from my location. After getting my bearings I soon heard what sounded like a fight going on nearby. When I heard my sister's voice my protective instincts kicked and I vanished.

Upon rounding the second corner sure enough I saw my baby sister Yvonne. Three guys were knocked out while five more kept my sister totally surrounded. Needing something to give me an edge the ability to breath smoke appeared. Taking a deep breath then I unleashed this thick cloud of smoke cloaking everything. "Where in the hell did this black fog come from?" One of the goons wondered.

The second that question left his mouth my right forearm knocked him aside. Keeping the momentum going I nailed his buddy on the left with a heavy backhand. As they hit the ground with a thud this alerted the rest that something wasn't right. My back bumped into Yvonne's making her look over her left shoulder at me. With a knowing smile and a firm nod we teamed together to finish these jokers off.

Sadly the leader and his remaining cronies were smart enough to run away. Luckily they didn't get far considering as they ran right into Launa and the others. While the smoke dissipated I switched gears then made sure that she wasn't hurt. "Will you relax Nova you don't have to get all clingy I'm just a little shaken so chill." Yvonne replied. Next she gave me a playful shove causing me to laugh in response to her remark.

With that settled I sensed someone coming and looked to see the Launa. She and the others made themselves scarce while I checked my sister for injuries. As they stood there Yvonne couldn't help but, ask question until I said to wait. Before anything else could happen I escorted Yvonne and the others to my apartment. I learned along the way Yvonne moved in due to the legal arrangements I made.

"Hey, sis did anything extremely weird appear since I vanished a while ago?" I asked. She took a moment to unlock the front door and walk inside before she replying. "Since you brought it up yeah a week ago this strange feather was on the table. Though when I went to pick it up off the table the damn thing shocked me." She replied. For some reason or another, what she said triggered an almost forgotten memory.

"Was this feather shape like an eagle's and a strange emerald green color?" I wondered. As I turned to face her she gave me this soft nod and I dashed into the parlor. Sure enough the large feather was still resting neatly on the wooden coffee table. Though before I could retrieve it, Sayber moved closer to my sister making her freak. That's when Azzy asked this question that also happened to be on everyone's mind.

"Forgive me Nova but, I gotta know why your sister is human and you're not?" Azzy asked. Raising my hand telling her to give me a second while I retrieved the feather. As I held it in my hand Elder Vyekk has asked me to return to the village, ASAP. Taking a deep but, ragged breath I rejoined the others with a blank look. "If you want that answer and more than accompany me to the land of my re-birth." I replied.

To be continued.
