In loving memory of all those that showed me the way whenever I got lost or distracted. I miss all of you horribly but, I know you're still watching over me from above.

(Launa Moon Viander, Sabrina Breckenridge, Lady Azrealle aka Azzy, and Sayber are all owned by, https://xennydiemes.sofurry.com/ )

"Sabrina your guess is as good as mine cause right now even I don't have a clue. What I can tell you is that what ever called me here didn't feel hostile but, it feels important." I replied. Sadly what I wasn't expecting was for my dark persona to speak up and offer some advice. <There should be a panel or switch nearby place a hand on it and the lights should activate.> It said. Coughing slightly then decided to do as It suggested hoping this wasn't some kind of trick.

Sure enough I found the item he mentioned with my left hand I pressed the panel. At first nothing happened then a soft buzz filled the air, followed by this beam of light. The beam raced down the hall like a missile and illuminated every inch of the long hallway. Naturally curiosity got the better of me so I removed my hand then the lights went dim. Placing my hand back onto the panel a second later lights returned to a bright blue color.

<Will, you just give it some energy instead of screwing around with the damn thing.>He barked. Rolling my eyes in response then with a grunt I gave the panel plenty of my energy. Off In the distance I picked up on what sounded like electronic door lock coming online. Quickly I turned to look at the others they confirmed hearing the same that I did. Launa took point Sabrina was next, then Azzy and I while Sayber brought up the rear.

"I hate to ask this but, how did you figure out where the light switch was for this place?" Launa asked. I couldn't bring myself to lie to my teacher I gave the black furred feline a knowing expression. Of course that didn't earn me any leeway as she spun around and grabbed my shoulder. "Nova you promised us that HE was no longer a threat or was it wrong to trust you?" She growled. Instead of defending myself I slapped her shoulder then marched down the hall.

Without any warning this loud metallic bang filled the air followed by dead silence. Launa reached up to touch where I shoved her aside and wondered if she went too far. While everyone went on ahead leaving her behind as she replayed what just happened. Deciding to catch up with others and as she walked down the hall something caught her eye. Apparently the loud bang they heard was me venting my anger on the wall instead of at her.

Off in the distance a loud strange hiss and vibration rumbled through the hallway. Turning her head to the right only to see a rectangle shaped light shining down the hall. "Hey, Launa you might want to get over here we could use your weapon expertise." I stated. The feline warrior jogged into the room and suspended in these large tube-like structures. Were what appeared to be ancient weapons Launa inspected them before speaking.

"Well, it looks like you've stumbled upon a weapon's cache of some kind or another. Though as for what this plague says the language is far beyond my ability to translate." She began. Sadly before Launa could finish her thought Sabrina decided to break them open. When Sabrina's fist and the chamber connected she ended up breaking three fingers. Howling in pain Sabrina moved away, while Launa inspected where the canine had struck.

"Apparently these chambers are built to prevent such bold attempts of access. Since the direct method proved useless that still leaves quite a few questions left. The main question being is, what kind of method or key is required to open these chambers." She stated. Everyone took a wall then started searching for a switch or panel that would open them. I searched the back wall that's when I found what appeared to be a viewing room.

Inspecting the device there was another panel much like the one for the lights. Figuring it required a small amount of energy to operate, I placed my hand on the panel. Next I provided the panel with plenty of energy then waited for the device to come online. Carefully placing my hands upon what appeared to be a keyboard and pressed some buttons. That's when something activated and before I could react the room was flooded with light.

After I recovered that's when something activated then an odd message played; "Seventh Eve of the Dizzy Moon, Year 7,789: Sadly the war with the humans, shifters and anthros has escalated. My clan has received orders to begin evacuating women, children and the elderly to safety. While most of the clan took charge over all the evacuation procedures. Commander Alastair asked me to secure the weapons from the Shadow Walker tribes.

These weapons were confiscated many months ago from the tribes that built them. Sadly in recent weeks I learned that the Shadow Walkers have accidently become extinct. As a special protocol anybody with Shadow Walker blood can access this terminal. Granted anyone belonging to Cubi and Thae'Lith bloodlines will be able to use this also. If you're listening to this message than I'm either M.I.A or K.I.A upon going to the front lines."

That's where the message ended then this soft chime played followed by a voice. "Please, remain still while a bio-energy scan commences..., ..., ..., the scanning is complete. Unknown Shadow Walker present activating sub-routine now..., ..., How may I assist you?" The A.I asked. Suddenly this weird chibi fox-like hologram appeared then politely waved hello. I'm standing there trying to wrap my brain around this and ended up getting a migraine.

"Ow, my head, okay my digital friend mind explaining exactly what's going on here?" I asked. The little fox cocked it's head to the side then looked at me like it didn't understand. At this moment I wisely shouted for Launa but, when she arrived everything turned off. Naturally she saw the machine shut down then wondered what the hell that was all about. I explained it to her the best I could it still left the black furred feline scratching her head.

Normally I'm a pretty well collected guy but, make no mistake I've got a nasty temper. Since Launa and the others have been around, I've keep myself on a very short leash. This time around Launa wasn't prepared for what happened as I swore like a sailor. Most of the combinations the experienced warrior has heard before but, a lot she hasn't. While I continued to rant Azzy, Sabrina and Sayber overheard and came over to investigate.

Of course they didn't stay long as they couldn't believe what they saw and heard. Luckily my rant came to an end I leaned against the console and took a couple breaths. "Feeling better Nova, and by the way I'm glad to know you can swear like a pro. In any case do you mind running through what you originally told me again, please." Launa replied. Doing as my friend and teacher asked of me, I explained what happened before again.

As I ran through the list of events Launa shook her head until something clicked. "Sounds like this place is voice activated and requires a lot of soul energy for power. Now you're absolutely certain the video message you watched spoke English correct? Perhaps, what you thought was English could've been an entirely different language, Nova. Try thinking back while the video played did you hear anything that you might've dismissed?" She stated.

Without realizing it I spoke fluently in a language had Launa never heard before. At that very same moment the place lit back up the chambers in the other room opened. Having seen that Launa poked my nose then she had me turn around to face everybody. I walked over to the open chambers stopping at one of the two staffs inside the room. Looking up at the sign I was able to read the language etched into the metal plague above.

Though before I could speak the computer in the other room reactivated and spoke. "The weapons currently secured are as followed; Atlantian Battle Scythe, Atlantian Bio-Shield, Ion Buster Sledge, Plasma Sword Axe, Neo-Steel Cane, lastly the Electro Volt Morning Star." It replied. As I started to walk around reading each of the plaques above the chambers. When I approached Sabrina I could see she was itching to get her hands on the hammer.

"Please, restrain yourself Sabrina these chambers might still be rigged with something." I said. Sadly Sabrina's eagerness was contagious as I had to repeat myself two more times. I even went so far as to physically scold Launa as she reached into the sword's chamber. "Seriously! Launa, you of all people should know better than to do something so dumb. {Computer please deactivate the security fields if they're presently online.}" I stated sourly.

Of course Launa slapped me right back making things even between me and her. "One moment please..., ..., Static security fields disarmed is there anything else you require?" The A.I asked. Now it was everybody else's turn to look like they've just seen and heard a phantom. While they regained their sanity I asked the computer if it could use a modern language. With a soft and long series of beeps the computer started making the adjustments.

Five minutes later the computer informed me that the changes I wanted are finished. I asked the computer to give us all the information it possessed on each of the weapons. The computer quickly brought up all the information that it had available on display. Upon reading the data we learned these weapons bond to the first person to touch them. After the bond is forged the only way to take the weapon away from its owner is through death.

Taking that vital piece of info to heart I pulled all four women out into the hallway. "You heard what the A.I say these things bond with the first person that touches them. I don't know how you ladies want to handle this so, feel free to share your opinions." I said. Everyone was silent for a moment then Launa crossed her muscled arms across her chest. She took a long deep breath then bowed her head and looked up before speaking.

"Nova, I have no doubt you'll be able to learn everything about what you've become. As for those weapons the choice is yours to make, seeing as you found them first. If you want my professional opinion these six weapons were locked away for a reason. Whatever that reason might be could be answered by the computer in the other room. Now if you wish to give us one of those weapons than I suggest you be smart about it." Launa informed.

"I agree with you that finding the reason why these weapons were locked away. Shouldn't to be too hard to uncover but, there is a chance that the info isn't stored here. Though according to the message these items are what remains of the Shadow Walker tribes. I'm pretty certain the information about that race is stored on the terminal's hard drive. As for the weapons perhaps a down payment on my lessons would be a nice gesture." I replied.

"Nova are you certain about letting us take one of those weapons as payment?" Azzy asked. "I understand where you're coming from but, this is something I can do in return. By giving each of you one of the weapons is a small gesture for all that you've done. Besides Sabrina is drooling with anticipation to get her paws on that hammer. Though she isn't the only woman that's itching to get their hands on a certain weapon." I stated.

With that said I gave Launa a knowing look making her stick her tongue out at me. Though what I didn't count on at the time was for Sayber to walked over and kneel down. "I believe it is best that we should sleep on this before making any kind of decision okay." Sayber replied. As I looked into her lovely sapphire blue eyes her suggestion sounded like a smart idea. Agreeing with her I leaned to the side then told the computer to shut down until tomorrow.

The A.I did as I instructed and shut everything off for the night while we went topside. Launa and the others went back to the "Haunt" a nickname I gave the place I'm living in. Staring over my right shoulder at the staircase I began questioning everything I knew. With a sharp exhale I covered the stairwell with a steel plate then rejoined the others. About halfway back I decided to go for a run through the woods to process what went on.

(One year ago.)

"Do you honestly think that ball of energy is any threat to me how foolish?" It boasted. At that moment I started laughing making not only Azzy look at me but, It also. Before they could ask me what got into me, my wolven state began dissolving. Biting my thumb until it bled then slapped the ground with my hand and chanted. The language I started using I learned during my time with the Blackfoot Tribe.

{Insutra the wolf mother hear my prayers, I need your strength to stop this evil. By the blood of my tribe and my rite of passage I ask that you hear my prayers.} I recited. Having heard all this It decided to ignore me then walked boldly towards, Azzy. It took about ten steps before this blinding white light bathed the area. Before It could react this large glowing feral wolf raced towards him like a bullet.

Clamping her jaws around It's neck and with momentum tore It's throat out. Landing several feet away then spat the darkened flesh aside and howled proudly. The orb Azzy held began resonating that's when she knew what she had to do. Quickly reaching back through the link that brought her here then gave a shout. "EVERYBODY GRAB THE CRYSTAL AND IT'LL BRING YOU RIGHT TO US!" She ordered.

Launa, Sabrina and Sayber looked at each other first then back at Azzy. Now they heard their raven friend correctly but, the question was should they. With everything that's happened has just been one crazy event after another already. Sayber was the first of the trio walk over and place her hand upon the blue crystal. The tiopard soon felt her spirit traverse along the chain and from the orb she appeared.

She stood there confused a bit then locked onto It and rushed into battle. Reaching back then slammed her fist hard into It's snout sending him flying back. Due to previous events and as result It's recovery time was a lot slower than normal. While Sayber kept up the pressure on, Azzy called Launa and Sabrina again. Instead of hesitating like before both women grabbed the crystal and appeared.

"Alright, Azzy we're here I'd ask what the hell is going on but, never mind. Give us a quick update and what we need to do then we'll try to make it happen." Launa said. Azzy wisely had Sabrina back up Sayber then she asked Launa to run defense. The experienced warrior preferred to join the fight but, did as the raven asked. She trusted Azzy had a perfectly good reason as she came over and knelt down.

"Hey, there let's get you fixed up, I've got to admit you're one tough guy." She smiled. As she knelt down in front of me a soft wave of healing energy surrounded me. Suddenly It knocked Sayber and Sabrina aside then It raced towards Launa. Fortunately she had things under control and with Ravenaire she cast him aside. Sadly her healing spell kept Launa from being able to follow up her counter attack.

"Look, your friends need your help more than I do so, get out of here, Launa." I stated. Her head flinched around with the look of surprise clearly written upon her face. With an angry shout I demanded the feline warrior to go help her friends out. This earned me an angry scowl then she canceled her spell and rushed to assist them. Azzy couldn't believe that I ordered Launa and shockingly enough she obeyed.

"Launa, Sabrina, Sayber listen do everything you can to subdue that creature. Under no circumstances kill It now I can't explain it but, these two are linked. For some reason or another, these two beings are one person that are split into two." Azzy stated. When they heard that bit information the trio wisely changed their current plan. During all of this the spirit wolf remained where it had landed after being summoned.

Suddenly this fury of punches, elbows, kicks and knees erupted from all sides. My dark half could barely keep up while the It's neck wound slowly took it's toll. Azzy was still holding the energy ball I gave her wondering why it hasn't vanished yet. She looked over at me and with a knowing look saying it still had a job to perform. Next I turned my gaze over to the feral spirit and signaled to ready itself once more.

Giving me a soft nod it moved closer to Azzy while I did my best to stand up. What I didn't count on was for my dark self to see me and I had to be stopped. Sadly It's neck wound was really proving problematic the longer this battle lasted. <This madness has to stop I won't be able to hold them off for much longer, Unless.> It thought. From out of nowhere this large and sick smile slithered its way onto It's muzzle.

Before I could sound the warning these strange tentacles suddenly appeared. Racing towards Launa, Sabrina and Sayber snatching their wrists and ankles. Though It didn't count on the full extent of their power as they easily broke free. All this tactic did was merely slow them down until It decided to change targets. Since Azzy and I were on the sidelines we made the perfect shield against the others.

When I noticed the change in It's tactic I got between Azzy and the tentacles. They wrapped around me with bone breaking strength making me scream in pain. Luckily the energy orb I gave Azzy protected her from being ensnared by them. Naturally she went to use the orb to free me until I signed no then she refrained. "If you three value that pitiful excuse for a creature back off or watch him perish." It warned.

To back up his threat It ordered the tentacles to apply a bit more pressure. Making my screams of agony intensify by several octaves so they backed off. Launa was furious along with the others having to play by It's rules or risk my life. With a flinch of my head the feral spirit wolf vanished while It's back was turned. Everyone re-grouped around Azzy while It strutted over to where I was imprisoned.

Bending over It clutched a fist full of my hair then jerked my head back. "You know for a mortal I have to give you credit for putting up such a good fight. Regardless of how utterly foolish your attempts to thwart my plans for ascension. Seeing as your life is once again in my hands I'll leave you with a parting gift. When I'm done with you and your allies I'll be paying your sister, Yvonne a visit." It whispered.

For some reason or another something deep inside of me broke into pieces. This feeling of unbridled rage flashed to the surface and I couldn't hold it back. With a strong flex I tore free of my bindings, spun around and punched It's jaw. Sending the cocky, unsuspecting dark creature flying ass over tea kettle backwards. "YOU GO NEAR HER AND I'LL RIP YOUR SPINE OUT THROUGH YOUR NOSE!" I shouted.

With my fiery declaration uttered my dark self recovered and landed nearby. What none of us had counted on was for It's true face and form to be revealed. Now for every ying there's a yang and gods are no exception to this particular rule. Insutra the wolf mother has an opposite and sadly my tribe never mentioned his name. Sure enough standing before all of us was a Snow Leopard that I've never seen before.

Suddenly the astral plain was bathed in a warm white light surprising everyone. "I believe you've done enough besides he's proven himself a worthy heir. Either acknowledge this and stand aside or I'll do it for you or suffer my wrath. Decide now while the choice is still available for you my brother, Courahn?" A voice replied. Standing back to back with him was a tall anthro female wolf with bronze fur.

The feline stood there for a moment debating about his next move then spoke. "Hmm, I had the strangest feeling that feral spirit might've been you sister, Insutra. Though I must admit for him to find the strength to summon you is quite a feat. What amazes me more is you actually came and attacked me upon a mortal's request. To answer your question I don't wish to fight you but, I can't ignore destiny either." He said.

"You're right I normally don't concern myself with the affairs of mortals. I couldn't just stand by and watch this respectful warrior as he was being used. Judging from that look you're not willing to leave then perhaps a friendly wager then." She said. While they were talking Launa came over and resumed treating all of my wounds. She gave me a soft pat on the back when Insutra looked over her shoulder at me.

"What kind of wager do you have in mind to settle this matter my dear sister?" He asked. Insutra didn't say anything right away as she turned around and approached me. Launa didn't move as she stood before me but, I could feel Launa's uneasiness. Reaching up and across my chest I placed my hand on her's and looked at her. "Peace, Launa Viander I'm merely going to restore his anthro form." She replied.

"Keep this in mind you try anything besides that you won't leave here alive." Launa warned. With an understanding nod Insutra placed a hand upon my head then she relaxed. A soft yet, beautiful flash of silver light my body slowly returned to it's anthro state. "The wager is this Courahn you will fight Nova on equal ground. Whoever is beaten into submission will become this body's sole owner." Insutra stated.

"It's sounds fine by me Insutra but, there's one thing that doesn't seem fair. You're telling him to fight me on level playing field and forgive me but, forget it. If we're going to fight than we should be able to without having to restrain ourselves. This way the winner can say his opponent gave it everything he had to win." I stated. Naturally Launa voiced her opinion until I informed her this was what I wanted.

"Seeing as you're not going to change your mind than I'll permit you one assist. That can be used at anytime during your dual so take some time to prepare Nova. When you're both ready step into this large than fight until the other surrenders." She informed. Next she forged a large fighting circle before she said farewell and disappeared. My dark self wasted zero time walking over to the circle then waited patiently.

Before I could do anything Launa grabbed my neck then dragged me aside. She brought me over where everyone else was hoping to get some sort of answer. As I stood before all four tall, muscular women until the muscles in my neck hurt. "Nova, please tell me that you've got a plan to win this lop-sided fight or not?" Launa asked. The tone of her voice matched the feelings of the others as they looked down at me.

"I'm not going to lie to you ladies I don't have one or it'll give him an edge. Something tells me he's gonna pull every dirty trick he can get away with doing. Azzy the orb I gave you keep it close that's gonna fulfill it's final task real soon. Just be ready for my signal and that ass clown should go down with little trouble." I said. Doing the smart thing I stretched out, knowing this fight wasn't gonna be easy.

To be continued.
