His Knight in Shining Armour

Many years ago, I wrote a story based on the concept of "the knight in shining armour." I thought it would be hilarious to write the gay yiff version of said concept.

So I did.

Years later, I rediscovered it while rummaging through all my old and horrible earlier works. Petrified at its lack of quality, I aspired to rewrite it.

So I did.

Here is the result. Hope you enjoy.

TL;DR wolf meets fox, then buttseckz

"Ser Emrys!"

Ser Teagan turned around, holding the hilt of his sword with extra caution and prepared for whatever news were coming. A small lad, no older than thirteen, clad in a tabard depicting the sigil of His Highness, King Alister. The badger clutched a stitch as he came to a halt in front of Ser Teagan, with muttered apologies under his breath.

"So sorry, milord," the messenger mumbled as he knelt in front of the knight. Teagan held back a sigh as he glanced only barely at his surroundings. It had drawn the attention of the marketplace, though none of the peasants were bold enough to stare directly upon the scene. It made Teagan uneasy - as did all messages from King Alister these days.

"Rise," Teagan said firmly. "What does His Highness wish of me?"

The badger opened the satchel and pulled out a scroll, sealed with the King's own sigil. Teagan took the scroll in silence and wondered at its contents. He stowed it inside his doublet, and looked up to see the badger still there, head hung low. Again, he stifled a sigh as he rummaged through one of his pockets to reveal a silver coin.

"For your service. You may go."

He watched the badger positively storm away delirious. Teagan pondered the envy of the marketplace and wondered if perhaps it would have been wiser to pay the lad in secret. Wary, he moved to leave the marketplace as quickly as possible. Though he was skilled in arms, he preferred to never exercise his abilities.

Only when he had crossed the gate into the noble district did he find the peace of mind to check the King's message. He was cautious to keep to himself as he tore off the seal.

Teagan,

In regards of the war effort, I seek your counsel tomorrow at noon.

Your old friend,

King Alister of Loxen, First of his Name, Champion of the Molten Plains and Protector of the Realm

The war effort.

Teagan had hoped to be left out of the war, though as his name was upon everyone's lips as of late, this was inevitable. He sighed and looked up at the pale blue sky, its cold autumn sun no longer blinding. The quiet wind fluttered through his ears and cheeks and cape. When his eyes began to ache, he set course toward home.

Though a noble as much as all knights were, his manse was outside the castle walls. It was a small home, solitary by the sea surrounded by short stone walls. It was known oft as Solitude, and its name was apt: he lived there alone. He always had, and, as every day would painfully remind him, he always would.

As he broke through the noble district and entered the harbour, his ears perked as he heard a muffled yelp of pain. His eyes narrowed, Teagan walked over to a small cluster of crates, behind which was a closed-off alley. He saw three distinct silhouettes: one lay limp on the ground, its limbs splayed in uncanny angles; one was grunting on all fours right ahead, and it was from there the yelps came; one lay further up ahead, as though crawling forwards but getting nowhere.

"Shut up, you little shit," came a quiet grunt. Teagan moved quietly around the crates into the alleyway. Underneath the stout and grunting bear lay a fox whose trousers he tried to tear off with one hand; the other was wrapped tight around the fox's neck, slowly choking the life out of him. Up ahead was a wolf, whose vigorous work seemed to reach an end. In between them he saw the corpse of an oversized rat, whose hollow eyes gazed skyward.

Teagan did not need to see more. He stepped up behind the bear who was, as far as he could tell, busy unlacing his breeches. He drew his sword, still unnoticed, and ran it through the bear's heart. There was a grunt and a cough, a sharp inhale of air, and then a different yelp of pain, one much like getting crushed by something too heavy. Teagan kicked the body off of the fox before he advanced forward.

"Oy, what's goin' on-" the wolf called as he rose to lace his breeches. When he turned around his grin turned to horror, as his eyes were fixated on Teagan's bloodied sword. The wolf brandished an equally crimson-stained knife; Teagan glanced at his victim, blood pooling underneath her head. "W-Who're you?"

"Ser Teagan Dyn Emrys," Teagan said coldly as he advanced. "There is no need to introduce yourself."

He hated blood.

He threw away the cloth with which he had cleaned his blade, as he watched the bodies carried out of the alleyway. Two rats, one bear and one wolf had lost their lives within those shadows. It left only a whimpering, blood-soaked mess of a fox who was, much like the deceased, scarcely dressed. Teagan had left the interrogation to the city guard, though there were few questions asked, and when they shoved the fox out of the alley, Teagan saw only fears and tears in his eyes.

It was the saddest sight Teagan had ever seen. He got up from his crate and sheathed his sword.

"Are you okay?" Teagan asked as kindly as he could.

"I..." the fox whimpered. He desperately tried to cover up his nether regions.

"I am a fool for asking," Teagan sighed. He undid the clasp of his cape and draped it over the fox's shoulders, relieved that its length covered much of the vulpine's body. It struck Teagan how petite the fox was. "May I ask your name?"

"A...Teo," the fox whispered. "S...ser."

"Where is your home?"

"Wahlren," Teo sniffled. "Was Wahlren, ser."

Teagan shook his head. Already a victim of circumstance. Of course some would take advantage of the refugees. "Come with me."

"Why?" Teo pulled away from Teagan with a look of fear.

"I don't suppose you want to stand indecent and bloodied in the middle of the city?" Teagan replied dryly, though the source of the fox's fear dawned on him slowly. "I will bring you to the nearby tavern for a room and a bath."

Teo stared at him in disbelief. His ears were splayed, one slightly ragged and torn. His eyes were bright gold, his auburn-and-cream fur stained with the once-bear's blood.

"Why?" Teo croaked.

"Because you've suffered," Teagan replied simply. "How could I possibly walk away from this?"

"I...I've no coin," Teo whispered as he lowered his head.

"Worry not. If you would follow?"

The Arcane Boar was, as always, quiet. It was scarce a minute after Teagan had entered when a tall otter came striding out from the back room, in thick velvet violet robes, and a thicker tome in his hands.

"Welcome to the Arcane Boar," the otter said automatically. "Oh! Ser Teagan, ever a pleasure. And..."

The otter wrinkled his nose at the sight of the fox. The fox looked misplaced, and his fear was palpable.

"Greetings to you too, Tom," Teagan said firmly.

"What can I do for you?" Tom sniffed, and the otter moved behind the counter close to the entrance. Momentarily gone from sight, he returned sans book.

"A room," Teagan replied as he found his pouch of coin. "For him."

"Intriguing," Tom narrowed his blue eyes, and adjusted his spectacles. "It will cost, of course."

"Of course. How much is a night?"

"Twenty silver," Tom sniffed. "With meals and other necessities."

"Two weeks, then," Teagan pulled out four gold coins. "And clothes as well. And draw him a bath, he..."

"Yes, of course," Tom nodded as he took the coin. He looked over the fox carefully. "Of course. I shall lead him to his room personally, take care of his clothing situation, ensure he is well taken care of. One moment."

Tom waddled away, heading up the set of stairs in the back of the room. Teagan glanced over at Teo, who looked befuddled.

"I will come visit in the morrow," Teagan said quietly to Teo. The fox whimpered.

"You didn't have to..."

"But I chose to." Teagan reached for his paw and planted the pouch in his hand. "Take this. Stay here for the fortnight and then..."

"I couldn't..."

"No protests," Teagan said firmly. "It's not like I am in need of it."

Tom returned shortly after and clapped his hands. "Pip pip, young ser. Your bath is ready, your supper will be in your room in the eve, fresh clothes on the morrow."

Teo's reluctance was lined on his face. Teagan put a hand on the fox's shoulder. "You can trust Tom. Get your bearings together."

"Yes..." the fox looked away with splayed ears. "Yes, ser."

"Then I will see you on the morrow." Teagan smiled and watched Teo as he followed Tom upstairs, and thought the fox looked good in his cape, despite the bloodstains. He watched Teo's white-tipped tail flicker out of view, and time faded away as he gazed into nothingness.

He hurled the bathwater into the sea.

Teagan wondered sometimes if he was stupid to eschew servants or slaves. It would certainly help around his estate, though it remained untouched for the vast majority of the day regardless. And there was a matter of stubborn pride, to deal with hardships on his own.

He shook off the remainder of the water before he entered the void that was his home to fetch his towel. It was a sorry place, its bedroom and accompanying necessities the house's most oft used facilities. It had been his home ever since he became a knight, and its namesake was enough to gnaw on the pit inside his stomach.

Then there was the fox.

Try as he might, Teagan could not get Teo out of his mind. He could not truly point out what it was about the fox. He was young, as opposed to Teagan's third and a half decade. He was from some obscure village in the thick of the war, with nowhere else to go.

Teo was a creature of loneliness.

To this, Teagan could relate.

He took a walk around the interior of his home once dry, more out of habit than anything else. The scarce furniture was lined with dust, the window shutters were closed, the doors barred. He was weary and ready for sleep.

Teagan had just sat down on the edge of this bed when he heard the gates to his estate open. It was a shrill shriek, to which he had already crossed the room and unsheathed his blade. Quietly he snuck to the back of the manse, unbarred the back door, and slipped out into the dim evening light.

There was a knock on the front door up ahead. Teagan held his blade at the ready and turned the corner. The stranger was hooded, its cloak carefully wrapped around the otherwise lithe body. Then the stranger noticed Teagan, let out a familiar yelp, and stumbled backwards.

"Teo? What in the name of Ignos..."

"I'm sorry," Teo whimpered, staring at Teagan's sword. "I didn't..."

Teagan lowered his weapon and strode forward to help the fox up. Teo staggered and tightened the cloak around him, though Teagan saw his old cape underneath. "What are you doing here?"

"I couldn't sleep," Teo muttered. "I asked the innkeeper about you, he mentioned this place, gave me a map and everything. I never... I never got to thank you. For saving me, I mean..."

"You could have thanked me on the morrow," Teagan replied with half a sigh. Teo seemed to finally drink in Teagan's clothes - or rather the lack of them - and turned away hurriedly. Teagan snorted. "I would send you back to the Boar, but I can tell you're cold. Come."

Teagan beckoned the fox, who trailed after obediently. "I'll put on some clothes," he added, "It is bad form to cause discomfort."

"You don't have to," Teo replied. Teagan looked over his shoulder. Though the fox was uneasy, he had spoken so calmly it bordered on unsettling. The fox looked back at him, in some way that made Teagan uncomfortable... or was it discomfit?

"It is chilly," Teagan replied with a faint smile. He guided Teo into the interior of his home before he closed and barred the door. The darkness was almost complete, though Teagan was swift to produce a fire in the hearth. He left the fox by the fireside to find a pair of breeches and a shirt.

When he returned, he found Teo nestled on the hard stone floor in front of the crackling fire. He sat down next to the fox, and watched him gaze into the fire.

"Thank you for saving me, ser," Teo said quietly. He looked away from the fire and surveyed him carefully. "The innkeeper said you were a knight. I didn't believe him at first."

"Why not?" Teagan inquired. He leant forward to look at the fox's face more clearly.

"I thought knights wore armour," Teo mumbled with a flush. "Shining steel armour."

"In battle, yes," Teagan nodded. "Away from the battlefield, few remain armoured in their day-to-day lives. Some even leave their arms behind. I never do, and find that I am thankful for that today."

"I am too, ser," Teo looked away. "Were you always a knight, ser?"

"Call me Teagan," Teagan replied softly. "And no. I became a knight when I was sixteen... Twenty years ago now, come to think of it."

"How did you become a knight, ser?"

"It is a long story."

"I still would like to hear it," Teo went on eagerly.

"Well, if you insist," Teagan shifted a bit so he could face the fox. "It started when I was twelve, when the plague came to Astheron. My father perished in the plague. He was a cobbler, everybody knew him. My mother and sister died in the great fire which followed in a desperate attempt to destroy the disease. I survived both calamities on chance alone. I never caught the plague. During the great fire I managed to hide in our house's cellar. I crawled out of ash, brick and soon, and I lived, but lost my family and friends... so I found that I was alone.

"I lived in the cellar from that day. I scraped by, earned a coin or a meal every now and then, by stitching clothes and fixing shoes. This went on for a year. It was a simple, though solitary life.

"Then the great event occurred. It was the prince's fifteenth nameday. There was to be a tourney held in his name, with twenty thousand gold on the line. Joust, archery, melee, spellcraft... you could participate if you could pay a silver. I had one silver piece which I dug out from the ashes of my home. I had nothing left, and so I aspired to win."

"Is that how you became a knight?" Teo asked fervently.

"No, not at all," Teagan chuckled. "I showed up that day, having paid my silver, with a bucket for a helmet, a barrel lid as a shield, and a stick for a weapon. All else who had shown up had come in armour, with proper shields and swords and maces and axes. Naturally, everybody mocked me.

"Prince Alister was also participating in the melee. He had perhaps the most resplendent equipment of them all. Gilded shield and chestplate, a masterfully crafted sword, and a helmet in which he strutted around like a peacock. Naturally, as I was the fool with a bucket on my head, I was the valiant prince's first opponent."

"Did you win?"

"I did," Teagan smiled.

"Were you some sort of prodigy with arms?" Teo said excitedly. "Was that how you bested him?"

"Prodigy? No, not at all," Teagan chuckled. "I had never wielded any weapons at all. Sticks, surely...what cub hadn't wielded a stick or a knife to play knight? The prince was versed in swordsmanship, but faced with the joke of the tourney, he did what most warriors do."

"What's that?"

"He succumbed to pride. He mocked me, told me I could have the first strike and that he would make it quick. He held up his end of that boast - he let me strike him. So I struck his sword-wielding shoulder. My stick snapped in half, but he dropped his sword.

"So I whacked him in the face with the stick. He staggered backwards and tripped. I picked up his sword and pointed it at his face - I have never been more mortified in my long life."

"Why?" Teo asked with a look of reverence.

"I had just hit the prince in the head with a stick," Teagan grinned. "He had that look in his eyes, that fury of somebody whose pride had just been punctured. He could have ordered the knights to execute me on the spot and nobody would bat an eye."

"What did he do?"

"He laughed." Teagan smiled fondly and gazed into the fox's golden eyes. "He laughed. I offered my hand to help him up, and he accepted. Got up on his feet and told everybody he had been bested. When I offered his sword back, he told me to keep it, and he gave me his shield too. Told me good luck with the rest of the tourney. I won the second round but lost the third."

Teagan ran a hand down the left side of his chest. "I still have the scar. I didn't win the tournament, but I won the prince's friendship that day.

"The king died some time later to sickness, and the queen was assassinated by the Radurans. Alister was crowned king on his seventeenth nameday. I was there during the coronation. The next day he knighted me. Gave me a title, arms, armour, and coin."

"That's amazing," Teo whispered. "Just because you were friends?"

"Yes," Teagan nodded. "I think I had humbled him the day of his tournament, and perhaps that was enough. We have grown closer since, though as he is the king, his time is dedicated to protect the realm. I rarely meet him in circumstances where we can both discard our titles and simply talk as friends."

"It's like the stories," Teo sighed wistfully.

"Everything is a tale when told," Teagan smiled. "But stories only mention the accomplishments, never the mistakes or the letdowns. I might have won the friendship of the king, and the respect of my peers and the townsfolk, but..."

Teo gazed at him for a long while.

"What about you?" Teagan asked as he looked into the fire. "Of Wahlren and your life before your calamity?"

"It was nothing special, ser," Teo said abashedly. "I lived with my poppop and my ma, my two sisters and younger brother. We lived on a farm together. Did the crops, played with sticks, sold potatoes and radishes. Nothing happened in Wahlren until..."

"I'm sorry," Teagan shook his head.

"They burned it all," Teo said quietly. "Their sun-wielders. Then they came and killed us. My ma burnt to death with my brother. They cut down my poppop, and my sisters... I tried to save them but I was dragged away. We were twenty who fled."

Teagan looked back at Teo, who hung his head and splayed his ears. "We were twenty when we left. Elderly and children. Four of them broke off to stop the soldiers who pursued us. Some of the elderly never woke from their sleep. Then we got to Loxenir, and we were only three. Me and Trevs and Mirri... Then the two ... the two of them came and took Mirri, and Trevs chased after them, and...and..."

"You needn't say more," Teagan whispered. Teo had closed his eyes, and tried to hide the tears.

"I'm sorry, ser," Teo sniffled as he rubbed his face. "I only... I don't know what I'm to do anymore, ser."

"I know that all too well," Teagan sighed. "You must feel lonely."

"Yes, ser," Teo nodded with a sniff and tremble. "Did you feel lonely too? When... when..."

"Yes..." Teagan shook his head. "In truth, I... I cannot recall a time when I didn't struggle with this loneliness and... and emptiness."

"After so long?" Teo whimpered as he shifted on the ground.

"Yes," Teagan gazed at the ground with his ears splayed. "After so long."

"Couldn't we be lonely together?"

Teagan raised his head as Teo placed both hands on his legs. The fox leant forward, his muzzle only a foot away from Teagan's. There was a sad determination in Teo's golden eyes. Teagan opened his mouth to speak, but found there was nothing to say.

"You saved me, ser," Teo mumbled, though he broke not the gaze. "I want to help you, ser."

The fox flushed as he leant further forward. Teagan felt his cheeks afire as he did nothing to stop Teo's hands crawl up to his chest. He felt the fox's breath on his mouth, and stared wordlessly into the golden depths as he parted his lips.

"Wait..." Teagan whispered. Teo splayed his ears with heavy breaths. "Teo, are you... are you certain of this?"

"Yes, ser," Teo whispered back. "I want you, ser..."

"Teagan," the wolf replied softly. "Call me Teagan."

"Yes, ser," Teo murmured against Teagan's lips. The fox's tongue slowly made its way into Teagan's maw, and it brushed warm and wet against his own. He responded in kind with a quiet moan as he embraced the fox, with a warmth in his chest spreading like wildfire. He felt a bulge press against his stomach, and coaxed out a moan from the fox when he pressed up against Teo. "Mmph...Ser Teagan..."

"Teo?" he huffed, lapping slowly at the fox's lips.

"It feels good, ser," he whispered back, bucking his hips against the flat of Teagan's stomach. Teagan slid his hand down to the fox's bulge, and cupped it gently. Teo groaned against his snout and buried his face in Teagan's neck. There was a damp and sticky patch at the very tip of the tented cloth, and as he rubbed his thumb over the head of Teo's member, the fox squealed and squirmed on top of him. Teagan slowly tapered off with the rubbing and, blushing, brushed his paw up underneath Teo's shirt.

Then Teo began to lap at his neck, and Teagan began to squirm. He heard Teo's sigh of joy as he nuzzled up to Teagan's cheek before he shifted in his lap and slid a paw down the wolf's chest. Teagan quivered as the fox passed his belly, and he watched anxiously as Teo reached his own crotch, stiff and wet too with anticipation.

"I..." Teagan huffed as they both gazed down. "I haven't done this before..."

"Me neither, ser," Teo admitted. He brushed his cheek against Teagan's snout. The wolf leant against Teo, strengthening his one-armed embrace. His other hand slid down over Teo's crotch again, and the fox sighed into his neck. "Ser..."

"What do you want to do, Teo?" Teagan murmured quietly.

"Lots, ser," the fox murred back. "With you, ser."

Teagan sighed, though he smiled regardless. He cast a glance at the hearth, and saw the fire dwindling. Teo looked up, and when he spoke he flushed. "Maybe we could go to your bed, ser?"

"Only if you call me Teagan," Teagan teased.

"Yes, ser," Teo replied automatically. He splayed his ears and flushed, "I mean... Ser Teagan. Teagan. Ser."

"You are hopeless," Teagan chuckled. He slid one of his paws underneath the fox's legs and swept him off his lap. As he rose to his feet, Teo curled his paws and flicked his tail slowly, gazing up at Teagan with an expression so unlike anything he had ever seen before. He stared back for a while, into Teo's gold, before he headed onwards to the bedroom.

The chill of the room did nothing to quell the warmth inside Teagan. He sat down on the edge of the bed and let Teo rest in his lap. The fox murred the whole way and busily lapped at Teagan's lips. The wolf responded in kind while he unclasped Teo's cloak, and afterwards, the cape underneath. Both slid to the floor as Teagan ran his hand up and down Teo's thinly-clothed chest. Teo's licks became meek as he tugged gently on the bottom of the wolf's shirt.

Teagan nodded as confidently as he could as he took off his shirt. He had barely gotten it past his head when Teo pushed him over, the fox's bulge grinding hard against his lower stomach. The fox ran a finger down the left side of his chest. "Is this your scar, ser?"

"Yes," Teagan replied, almost proudly. There was a hunger in Teo's gold, a craving complemented by a soft whine. Teagan looked up abashedly and licked Teo's chin. The fox responded with a kiss, hard and heavy. When it ended a string of spittle dangled from the tip of Teo's tongue. "Ser, I want you..."

"I do too. Sit up," Teagan huffed. He felt it too now, that urge. He grabbed the fox's rump, which made Teo squeak. The fox then sat up, and Teagan pulled Teo up to his chest. He let his nose touch the damp, hard bulge. It smelled of Teo, he thought, of nothing he had ever whiffed before. "Undo your breeches."

Teo flushed but grinned all the same as he did as told. No sooner did his cock flop out, short but thick and wet, against Teagan's snout. It made Teagan blush, and he dared a lick at the tip of Teo's member. It tasted like Teo, he thought, just as it smelled like him. It was sweet and salty, and Teagan wanted more. Eagerly, he lapped at the head, slowly down the length, until he reached the fuzz of the orbs at the base. Teo was tense as he looked down at the wolf with an expression of bliss.

"I like it, ser," Teo breathed heavily. "Please, ser, don't stop..."

"I told you," Teagan replied playfully as he gave the head a single lick. "Only if you call me..."

"Please, Teagan" Teo shuddered. "Teagan, ser, please..."

Teagan grinned up at him as he continued to lap and kiss at the side of Teo's thickness. The fox began to buck his hips eagerly with a hungry whine. Teagan, his hands still on Teo's rear, pushed the fox upward until Teo was on all fours. Then he took Teo's cock in his mouth, suckled on the length as it slid into his muzzle until the fox's balls rested on his chin. Teo moaned and shuddered, his arms almost buckling as he whimpered.

Teagan bobbed his head up and down Teo's cock, and Teo responded with weak thrusts into his maw. His tongue swirled over the head and savoured every little drop that oozed out. He wondered if there would be more as he gobbled the length, his lips grasping hungrily at the base of his dick. He felt Teo squirm, heard the soft whines and the quiet whispers of_ser_ and Teagan.

"Ser," Teo whimpered a bit louder as Teagan withdrew for a moment, kissing and suckling on the side of his cock. "Ser, I think I'm about to..."

Teagan mawed at the head slowly as he gently pushed Teo onto his side. The fox didn't resist in the slightest, his breathing hard and eyes closed. Then he rolled the fox onto his back, and continued to maw and suckle. He slid down to his balls and lapped at them too for a while, all in accord with Teo's trembling. When he began to gobble down the length the fox began to buck his hips in frustration, fast and faster. Teagan grabbed him by the hips and held him down as he slid off of the cock.

"Teagan," Teo whimpered, "You're cruel..."

Teagan watched Teo's length throb and quiver. He licked his lips and grasped the head between his lips again, slowly reaching the base, again and again, slightly faster as the fox grew louder. The fox struggled under his grip, and when Teo shuddered, Teagan knew he was coming. He rested his lips around Teo's tip when the first burst of cum shot into his mouth. He barely had time to taste it when a second shot came, and a third. It dribbled past his lips as he buried his face into the fox's crotch.

It tasted like nothing else in the world. It tasted like Teo.

Teo looked as though asleep when Teagan finally came up from his crotch. He felt cum on his chin while licking his lips. He gazed at the fox for a long time while he ran his hand through the fox's cream-coloured belly. Teo opened his eyes, a golden gaze which looked up at him, and his tail brushed against the bed covers slowly. Then the fox sat upright with a struggle, and nuzzled Teagan's chin. Teagan murred and rubbed Teo's neck.

"Ser... I mean, Teagan, ser," Teo whispered. He leant against the wolf. "I want to taste you too."

Teagan nuzzled the top of Teo's head, nodding slowly. "Okay."

He leant back as Teo nuzzled his throat. The chill of his cold nose made him shiver, and the trail went slowly down his chest, past the ruffle above his stomach. The fox revelled in his fur, he saw, as the lad drew in all that he was with eyes of gold filled to the brim with life and joy. Then Teo was upon his breeches, the cold nose touching the fabric where the tip of his cock was, his fingers undoing the laces. Teagan laid down as his trousers were pulled down, his wolfhood exposed to the cold air.

Then there was warmth, and wetness, and pleasure. He twitched violently as he felt the fox's warm mouth bear down on him. It was something of another world, he thought, as his claws dug into the mattress. He could hear Teo's slurps, feel the beating of each sodden lick against his flesh, relish Teo's sweet hums. The fox's tongue flooded over the head, hastily down to the base of his furred balls, and again, and again.

Then Teo started to suck again, this time slower, with increased deliberation. Teagan had grown tense already, in some strange anticipation of what he would experience. The taste of Teo was still on his lips. It was Teo, just like it was the fox going down on him now. He felt Teo's mouth maw and gnaw on the base of his cock, the rest of his length buried within the heat of the fox's muzzle. Then his flesh touched cold air, and he sighed slowly.

His tension turned to calm, and his sighs turned to moans and murrs. He nestled his arms underneath his head as he gazed down at the fox, whose slim, gorgeous muzzle took all of him again, and again. Teo's voracity seemed to grow, and as it did, Teagan felt weaker and softer. He knew that soon he would come, just like Teo had.

Then Teo stopped, only his breath gracing his length. Teagan made a confused sound, and he tried to sit up. "Teo?"

"Ser," the fox whispered back. "I... I have a request, ser."

Teagan blinked with mild disappointment. His member throbbed angrily as it quivered against the fox's muzzle. "What is it?"

"I want you to claim me, ser," Teo said weakly, and he splayed his ears.

"...claim you?" Teagan replied, uncertain.

"Fuck me, ser," Teo whimpered. Teagan's ear twitched. "Make me yours, ser. Please."

Teagan blinked at the fox. Teo was on all fours, his ears and tail hung low, and his snout less than an inch away from the wolf's cock. He, too, felt helpless in that moment, the reality of it all reflected in his eye.

"Look at me, Teo," he replied in an equal whimper.

The fox looked up at him. Even in the darkness Teagan could see Teo's golden eyes, and there was that longing in them that he recognised. Teagan sat upright and grabbed the fox gently by the shoulder, then by the chin. Their noses touched gently, then their lips.

"Are you certain?" Teagan whispered against Teo's lips. "Do you really want me?"

"Yes, ser," Teo nodded quietly as he closed his eyes. "I do want you, ser. And I want you to claim me, ser."

Teagan took hold of the fox underneath his arms, and then laid him down. Towering over Teo, he positioned himself so that his throbbing cock lay on the fox's crotch, their members resting side by side. "I will only do it if-"

"Teagan, ser," the fox replied obediently.

"Only if you'll let me be yours too," Teagan said tenderly. "Only if you smile."

"No, but... ser?" The fox looked up at him like a lost kit, and Teagan could admire how young Teo was. "You want me too, ser?"

"Yes," Teagan answered as he bent down. "Yes, I do. I am sure of it."

Teo smiled so brightly Teagan was almost blinded.

When their lips parted, Teagan sat upright. Teo tried to scoot onto his side, but Teagan pushed him onto his back again. "Ser? Shouldn't I be on all fours, ser?"

"No. I want to see your face," Teagan replied. He grasped the fox's hips, and Teo complied, his tail flicking all over the bed with broad strokes. His cock trembled with anticipation as he found Teo's hole.

"I'm ready, ser," Teo whispered before Teagan could ask. The wolf couldn't suppress his grin anymore as he pushed against the pucker, as gently as he could, yet it made no difference. "Harder, ser. I can handle it, Teagan..."

He pushed harder, and harder still, until he felt the first taste of penetration. Yet he froze at the sound of Teo's whimper, his attempt halted. "Don't stop, ser, please..."

"You're too tight," Teagan replied, almost curiously. He gazed down at the fox's entrance, and brushed a finger across the pucker. He tried to push his digit in, the remnants of his pre an aid, but Teo whined more. "Then..."

"Ser?" Teo whispered, but his whisper became a squeal as Teagan pulled his arse up in the air. Resting on his shoulders, Teo whimpered in confusion - then he yelped as Teagan started to tongue-bathe his hole. "S-ser..."

His tongue danced over the surface, a slow dance which left a wet trail with every step. Teagan enjoyed Teo's whimpered protests whenever he brushed over the tailhole; he performed encores after encores until his attention was solely devoted to coaxing out as much music from Teo as he could. Only when the soft squeals had become hard breathing did Teagan raise his muzzle. He brought a digit to circle the hole, and when he pushed to enter it was easier, almost effortless.

Teagan positioned Teo's tail, and the tip of his cock pushed against the pucker - and then into with considerable ease. The fox whimpered again, but it was a sound of pleasure. Teagan bucked forward until his entirety was inside the warm and tight fox. He gazed down at the fox, who gazed back - and wondered if this was all a dream. Teagan pulled out and thrust back in on repeat - each time with more fervour.

He loved the taste of Teo's cock. He loved the fox's muzzle around his own - yet as he grasped the fox by the hips, felt his balls slap against the base of Teo's tail, and gazed into those golden pools of his, he felt content. There was no need for more, he thought, though his body disagreed - each plunge was fiercer than the last, and for all his elation his body was growing weaker again. His tongue lolled lazily as his speed increased, and Teo only stared blissfully up at him - a look of joy, of love, of thanks.

Teagan reached forward and grabbed the fox by the shoulders. He planted his knees into the mattress, and lifted Teo up into a tight embrace, all while fucking him with more and more vigour. Teo moaned into his ear, gave it a nibble - his hands roamed over Teagan's back, and tightened around him when Teagan chomped down on his shoulder.

Teagan could no longer hold it in.

He growled and howled into Teo's fur, his muzzle tightly clamped into the fox's flesh. His cock pulsed as he thrust faster and faster still, the climax breaking the strength of his knees. With Teo in his embrace he crumbled forward. When he ended the bite, Teo whimpered but still held on tight. "Ser Teagan..."

"Teo..." Teagan whispered weakly. He tried to raise his head, but found he could barely nuzzle Teo's ear. "Did I hurt you?"

"No..." Teo replied, and rested his muzzle against Teagan's. "No. Never, ser. I'm yours, ser."

"Teagan," he whimpered happily.

"I'm yours, ser," Teo repeated with a weak lick against his cheek. "Teagan...Are you mine, ser Teagan?"

"Always," Teagan replied. "Always."

Teo turned his muzzle so that he could kiss his wolf, and they lapped at one another quietly, weakly, until Teo yawned.

"Are you tired?" Teagan said faintly.

"Yes, ser," the fox replied tacitly as he shifted a bit. "It's been a long day."

Teagan tightened his hold on the fox and shifted onto his side. He pushed his crotch up against Teo's rump. The fox nestled his muzzle into Teagan's neck, and when he hugged him, it was tighter than before.

"Don't let me go, ser," Teo brushed his head up against the wolf's chin. "Please don't."

"I won't," Teagan replied. He held Teo closer, and closed his eyes. "I won't..."

He hated blood.

He threw away the cloth with which he had cleaned his blade, as he watched the bodies of the slain rot in the ground. It had been three moons now in the forsaken lands, only him and the few who had survived.

He never got to say goodbye.

Teagan wondered if Teo would forgive him, wondered if he was well, wondered if he would be there when he returned. He had entrusted Tom to take care of him, and the king had also been informed. He hoped he could trust Alister too - the king who had ordered him here, even in light of the first ounce of happiness Teagan had ever felt.

Would he die happy?

Maybe, Teagan thought. If I survive, I will never wield a sword again.

His ears perked at the sound of a war horn. His other companions turned to the hills as well. At first one horseman. Then two more. Then four more, and eight, and sixteen, all until the horizon was only cavalry.

"Protect me!" said Iothar, whose hands were alight with the power of the sun. A second war horn rang through the air, and its response was the tremors of the earth. The enemy had begun their charge. Ser Thorn and Ser Dyn Eivern stepped in front of Iothar with their blades at the ready. Teagan tightened his grip on the hilt of the sword he had been given twenty years ago. He took left position next to Ser Thorn, and they were the vanguard to their last spark of hope.

Maybe we could cross the ocean, Teagan thought, as he watched death trample across the fields.Visit Theronn, see Vost, travel to Brannog... So many places I want to see. So many worlds for us to walk...

The three knights steeled themselves as the priest of Ignos raised his voice. The sun shone down on the fields, and soon the lancers were upon them. Then light dawned, and Ser Teagan saw only gold.
