Culture : Were once prominent race with a bright future ahead of them, developing amazing new advancements that most other races would have taken centuries to develop. Unfortunately, these were achievements were a part of an age old arms race between three supernations, known as the Tripartum, were hellbent on conquering one another to enforce their ideologies. A fierce triangle of Fascism, Communism, and imperialism that finally brought about a nuclear apocalypse to the world.

the surface soon was heavily bombarded with neutron radiation, almost annihilating their entire race if it wasn't for those who took shelter beneath the ground. Those who fortunate to prepare for such a climax resided in subterranean shelters known ARCs, Apocalypse Resistant Colonies, while many flocked to the dank underbellies of their cities in tunnels and subway networks. The Apacians spent the next 200 years locked away with the only they would ever see come the flicker of fire or the glimmer of a light bulb until the ancient ones, the Neboreseum, awoke from their slumber.A young band of these ancient creatures had been resting in their natural stasis deep near the planet's core until puberty struck; Like any adolescent of any race, their appetite increased for more than the steady dose they were receiving in their nursery. They teleported to the surface to feast on the buffet of deadly radiation, traversing the landscape for the next 15 years, leaving no stone unturned.

Once the pubescent Neboreseum had finished, their curiosity turned to the Apacians who were dwelling underground, opening the seals to the surface. They ventured into the darkness to find a people lost to insanity and fear until they took the ones who still had hope to the surface to show them a new world. Their Chosen spread the word when they were returned home, signalling a new age in their history. ARCs unleashed the all clear signal, survivors who dwelled in darkness for generations finally saw the light of their sun again. In the time that the Apacians that were sealed away in the Apocalypse Resistant Colonies, Science flourished with them, prepared for this day. Armed with knowledge expanded over the centuries, they hadn't any trouble rebuilding.

Now, after century of progress, the Apacians have developed unique style of government for their communities with theatrocratic elements. Every town has its own district and an Assembly, which is normally a weekly gathering of all the district's denizens to decide on local rules and address issues regardless of their nature. Larger settlements such as cities with high population often divide into various sectors according to density and number of individuals living in that area.Assemblies often choose patrons, individuals who are picked to address particular issues that require a specific skill-set;Normally, its in regards to district infrastructure and basic needs such as Medical Professionals or Technical experts. This method of government is surprisingly efficient though, with everyone participating major decisions while allowing their self rule to flourish.

Aside from politics, Education is highly valued amongst young Apacians since most mothers on Apok will say "a great education equates to a great life" which is largely true on this planet. Most individuals who have either a tertiary education or great deal of intelligence often find themselves prospering their districts or amongst others like them. Some races, such as the Varandions and the Zephyrians, who have visited their world retort that their traditional methods of education vaguely resembles the way a Militarchic society would treat their children.

Every Apacian child once they are able to crawl is required in most districts to attend daycare at least once a week or more dependant on district rules. Once they are able form coherent sentences, they are then sent to their local primary school to learn their basic skills. Normally around their tenth year, they are sent off to the nearest boarding academy, which they spend the next eight years on and off campus learning their sciences and life skills, advancing their education in preparation if they choose to attend university.

At home, Apacians are mainly raised by their mothers and often go an entire lifetime without knowing who their fathers are since most women on this planet practice a peculiar form of polyandry. Females often keep harems of 3 to 4 males whom tend pick up the slack when their partner has trouble with keeping track of their offspring. Most men content with the way things are today, comparing them to the old legends of a bloody time long ago of how they would murder one another over such a trivial matter.

Factions : While most of Apok is ran by assemblies and divided up into districts, it should be noted if visiting the planet and some of its more isolated region to learn of its factions that influence the landscape.

The Scientific Advancement and Developmental Research Core , this coalition of scientists and researcher is the largest network of eggheads on the planet. If you need something researched, tested, and or turned into an applicable theory, these University graduates will do it free of charge as long as they get credit for their efforts. This Core has been largely responsible for the speedy rebuilding of their civilization since they have been pioneering advancements in everything from Agriculture to Virology. SADRC has over 2 million members working practically around the clock studying, collaborating, and exchange data in their respective fields.

Aerotek Innovations , or simply referred to as Aerotek, is fairly new company on Apok with the recent visit of young alien from a far away world. She recruited a handful of bright minds fresh out of college to analyze and expand on massive Data Repository she left behind. This firm has been paving the future of Apacian technology by combining Apacian Chemical Deconstruction & Manufacturing tech with Tri-dimension fabrication, providing the means to mass produce technology on a grand scale.SADRC fortunately has a correspondence agreement with Aerotek's Research department, sharing any unclassified information yielded from the Data repository. Its estimated that it would take the next ten years to put these foreign concepts into practice...

The Educational and Nursery Facility Network , or the ENF for short, is Apok's substitute for any semblance of an Schooling system since the day they left their underground shelters. This system often struggles to keep afloat due to limited resources and largely relies on volunteers, but still keeps strong due to its academies and universities. One problem it continues to face is reaching out to the more regions of the planet since a number of Pre-war Communication posts used for long range radio broadcasts. Fortunately, thanks to Aerotek's arrival, They have managed to acquire computers and media devices for their facilities to modernize their classrooms.

Depth Dredgers , a colloquialism for anyone or any group that does the task of mining, this demographic is largely composed of Academy graduates looking to earn some quick Tokens, brass coins modeled after ARC commissary bartering tokens. Most of the mining itself is done by drills and machines that were stored underground in ARC warehouses for ages though a common issue is that once this equipment breaks down, it takes a whole lot of jury rigging if you can't find the parts to replace it. Fortunately, if you looked for one of the spiky-haired aliens and put them in front of it, they'll repair it faster than mechanical engineering graduate.

The Children of the Dust , if you one of those hardcore bad-asses that want their own slice of heaven where you can take what you want and no one to vote against it, then you are likely going to be fighting these marauders for it. In the harsh expanse known as the Dustwind Sea, a desert made of firmly packed dust and the rusting ruins of long forgotten cities waiting to be plundered where the less desirable aspects of Apacian society are found. The rebels, the renegades, the rogues and the rapists, well the more extreme ones, can be found here in this unforgiving climate roving in bands scavenging for the basic necessities.

This little outlet of Apacian culture largely originates from those who dwelt in the underbellies of the ruined cities and the small handful of ARCs that were built in the region. While most of the venerable survivors at the time migrated to more favorable climates elsewhere, much of their youth decided to stay and adapt to this dusty wasteland which is how they earned their moniker. After a few couple decades or so, most of these "Children" had grown to latter adulthood and left the Sea to settle down in bordering districts. What sparked entirely new generations of "Children of the Dust" was the memoirs of the original members that were copied and sent to various libraries across the planet that captured quite a number of imaginations.

These books essentially told how to survive in the Dustwind Sea as well as the scientific treasures that awaited in the vast expanse. This information though sparked the interest of SADRC and prospective Apacians looking for pre-apocalypse artifacts since most tend to be well-preserved in the arid environment. Sadly a lot ventures into the Dustwind Sea are fruitlessly cut short by its denizens.

The Children of the Dust are often garbed in loose fitting garments and cloaks to,combat while wearing Hazmasks to protect their faces from dust storms and conceal their identity to negate any consequences in the future. They barely cause any conflict with the outside world unless it comes wandering in without being aware of the danger of being unaware. Fortunately, the Heat is more likely to kill you than they will since most of these marauder carry your typical Pneumatic Dart Rifle which is often loaded with anesthesia laced darts.

Technology : Apacians are masters of the periodic table of elements capable of fabricating and producing anything they require through the deconstruction of raw materials into their chemical components. They possess the knowledge, as well as the technology, to transmute worthless common elements into their more valuable counterparts such as uranium or plutonium as well as vice versa through their chemical fusion chambers. Despite the fact they haven't achieved spaceflight beyond their own solar system, they are considered a technological paradigm of when necessity is truly the mother of invention

Alot of Apacian technology is based off of whatever was left in the ARCs or underneath their cities with much of their history lost to sands of time, figuratively and quite literally. They even still use electron tubes for their computers, though aren't as bulky as one may think, they are still heavy to carry. They are slowly transitioning over to a newer technologies introduced to them by a young alien from a far away planet.

Apacians are also very adept in the use of pneumatics since blackpowder was often restricted to mining and military use in the days of the Tripartum. A common weapon, or tool as some might called it, on his planet is a Pneumatic Dart Rifle, essentially an air designed to shoot darts laced with chemicals such as Anaesthetic or poison. This weapon is effective up to 1000 meters due to the unique designed of the darts themselves, mainly because of Titanium-Iridium alloy composing the needle and container itself, creating a subsonic projectile.

Another unique invention that still lingers from their pre-apocalypse days is Audiovisual Records, basically cassette tapes with small ceramic disks in them that both record and play videos along with sound. They are mainly used to record document science-related and school-related subjects, though you can find some copies "A Survivor's Guide to Reproduction & Repopulation: How your Body can restart Civilization!" in ARCs around the planet. Some though have taken to filming pornography as of the recent arrival of the Ga'Roa Corporation since these Varandion 'Entrenpeneurs' pay heavily for these records and the equipment to use this technology.

Recently though, a new company has appeared named "Aerotek" with the arrival of an Alien from unknown world...

Allies : Despite lacking any viable form of space travel, the Apacians have made some useful allies over the past few decades or so.

Luffies! A small diminutive species of delightfully fluffy creatures that were thought to have went extinct long centuries ago made a resurgence from Apok's oceans. Apacians love these fluffballs for their psychoacoustic abilities and their diet of pesticides, oil, and decaying matter along with various fungi. Some historians believe that the attempted extermination this native lifeform is what lead to the Apocalypse.

Ga'Roa Corporation , another failure in a long line of Slaver expeditions, a GRC vessel trying to meet its qouta happened upon what its captain thought to be a defenseless planet. Once they landed, marching into the nearest town with Arcathion thugs in the front armed to the teeth, their party was promptly shot by an Apacian Dart rifle laced with a tranquilizer chemical. When they awoke, they were tied up, stripped off their clothing and hanging upside down in local butcher's shop.

Their captain suffered the worst fate when a local Hobbyist purchased him whole and still kicking for her latest Audiovisual Record Masterpiece "Foreign Bodies". He was taken to her basement, blindfolded then tortured for the next several hours while his first mate back at shop manage to clear up the 'misunderstanding' with the butcher. their captain was released from captivity the next morning and departed as quick as possible. The captain's report of the planet made it an imperative to establish a trading post on Apok to keep this race of "Savages" happy. Afterward, he had to visit a doctor to discuss an injury he sustained on his expedition. Much less to say, his physician was surprised that a unorthodoxly large object made of silicon could fit in the digestive tract.

Recidians! When the first batch of Recidian slaves were brought to Apok, local Apacians were quick to look for anything they could trade for ranging from tokens to wild Luffies. After the initial success of introducing these spiky haired anthropoids to the planet, more were brought in from their homeworld and ending up as pets or assistants to their buyers. Mostly in part due to a cultural misunderstanding and mistranslation, Apacians believed that Recidians want to be 'slaves', which has an entirely different meaning on their planet.

After the Liquidation of Ga'Roa and its assets repurposed for Aerotek Innovations, most Apacians who purchased Recidians as slaves soon received a trade voucher and a pamphlet explaining what slavery actually is most parts of the Galaxy. Much less to say that day, there was a lot of embarrassment accompanied by thorough apologies. While most left to help repair their broken homeworld, some stayed to participate in university to learn Apacian Sciences. Recidians when asked about them as a people, most will say "They are crazy smart and very kissy-faced!", considering a few teams of SADRC scientists managed to stowaway on some the transports bound for Reci III. A handful of Apacians versus an apocalyptic world, challenge accepted!...

The Neboreseum... Well not much is known about this ancient race of beings that deposited their young here except that they are psychic and eat Radiation. Nonetheless, these stalky blackish humanoids have earned the Apacian's respect and captivated their memories for generations to come. You will find a lot of statues and motifs of these mysterious creatures all over Apok.

Enemies : While still a planetbound race, they have made a couple of powerful enemies and are feared with good reason.

ZANC, the Zephyrian Astro-Nautical Core , is largely considered a nuisance by a majority of apacians. When they first contacted Apok's natives, requesting permission to establish starbase in their stellar region, districts throughout the planet sent patrons to represent their concerns to a Global assembly to vote on that matter. This process took about a month and when questions began bombarding the ZANC envoy, thats when it went south fast.

The Zephyrian representative had accidentally let the words "Trade Restrictions" slip from his mouth, many an Apacian weren't pleased with the answers that followed their queries. Afterwards, the vote on this decision was no and ZANC was forced off Apok with extreme prejudice. Despite their diplomatic efforts, the Sector Commander wouldn't stand for the outright denial of their expansion.

Retaliation against the Apacians came in the form of blockade by a Leviathan-class Battlecruiser, "The Warden", stationed in their planet's orbit much to their annoyance. This lasted for quite some time but thankfully, it had to return to the nearest starbase every month due its massive crew compliment, allowing GRC traders and one young alien to slip by. The Warden, in its efforts to prevent the massive outlaw Starship, "The Rosy Joker", from leaving Apok, was assimilated into the rogue Warship's superstructure.

The Iotanid Empire , namely the Aranarrans, sent Covert Ops recon to scout out potential launch points for ambushes on ZANC transport routes, they chose Apok for its location. Once their scouts landed in The remote Dustwind Sea, flat desert largely made of dust and sand along with abandoned cities. There they encountered the Children of the Dust who they tried to establish peaceful contact but fell prey to their Darts laced with Anasethetic.

Later that evening, Aranarran Covert ops team found themselves tied up in their own silk then brutally raped throughout the night and subjected to a slew of chemical aphrodisiacs while their gossamer was harvested. Traumautised, the next morning when their Apacian tormenters left to scavenge, they escaped captivity and gathered as much data they could from the ruins of Library. They left the planet as fast as they could, the scouts mentally scarred with fear and pain.

Their report to their Operations Overseer determined Apacian's Home System as uncolonizeable due to "a highly unstable native population and the presence of Biohazardous superweapons". Unfortunately, once the full report leaked out to Iotanid Empire's masses, panic broke out amongst the colonies bordering the contested sectors. Much less to say, any Iotanid is afraid to get anywhere close to an Apacian and their home system.

Hostility: Very friendly as long as you don't cause trouble in their settlements; other than that, what happens on Apok stays on Apok.

Physical description : Apacians having largely attributed their evolution to their environment though have only recently begun taking an interest evolutionary biology and genetics. They believe they share a common ancestor with their Recidian 'pets' and Daesidyne biology Textbooks that managed to end up on their homeworld thanks to Ga'roa. While still somewhat in dark, they have managed to learn of their primal ancestry.

Epochs ago when their world was a covered in dense forests and vast jungle swamps, their ancestor, a creature no bigger the size a mouse was roaming in the treetops foraging for fruit. A serpetine reptile lurked after the Apacian's ancestor until Mother nature's sick sense of humor came in to play. Their brain began evolving in an unusual way, developing an unrivaled aggressive nature, causing a shift in the food chain as a new swarm predator.Over the ages, the little shrew and his descendants grew bigger and longer over the generations as well as smarter. This tactile creature soon began standing upright, allowing him to see his prey meters away hidden in the tall grass. Once the prey started becoming faster and faster, the Apacian's soon started walking on two legs to pursue their favorite meal longer.

Fastfowarding to their Pre-Apocalyptic Modern era, Apacians were a highly aggressive race due to the over-masculinization and the hyper-competitive environment they created for themselves. Fortunately, thanks to the mass genocide of their species, the brains of the survivors began retweaking themselves over the next few generations to utilize much of the inactive portions due to the sensory deprivation of subterranean lifestyle. The increased usage of their frontal cortex, occidental hemisphere, their limbic system, and their thalamus along with few other parts has conditioned their brains to seek out stimuli and reward them with a pleasure response.

Now, Apacians have traded off much of their aggression for outright craziness and brazen attitude, if not psychopathic behavior, accompanied with a mind predominated by logic and rational processes. Your average Apok native has five digits on their hands with their ring finger equidistant to their middle digit as well as their pinky finger the same length as their index. Their feet have large primary toe accompanied by four smaller digits adjacent to it. They have rather strong medium length whiplike tails that are used to entice their partners.

The craniophysiology is quite remarkably similar to Earth's mongooses, bearing a pair of prominent canines in their dentition. They also possess a long V-shaped tongue which seems to play into their social behavior. Don't ask what they can do with their flexible spines...

Eyes : Apacians have binocular vision with common iris colors being Blue, Brown, Green and Hazel

Hair : Apacians love to groom their hair when they have the time to do so, women largely letting grow long to style it in unique fashions while men tend to keep it short. Their hair itself is rather smooth to keep out any dust particles, often coming in colors of brunette, brown, and shades of red though it is considered rare to see a blond on this planet.

Fur : An Apacian's fur is short and thick that comes in earthy tones, some have notably complex patterns to a simple two tone.

Sexual dimorphism : If you can't tell the difference between a male and female apacian on this planet, you definitely need your eyes checked! The women of this race are rather well contoured, in part both to their both their curvy ample hips and their fat reserves situated in their posteriors, tails and their breast, often creating an hourglass figure with lean midriff .The biology behind this midriff, which even males have, is largely in part to temperature regulation.

Apok, even before the bombs dropped, has a tendency to get rather hot in various regions across the planet, humidity or aridness not included. If one were to place their hand on Apacian's stomach, you will find that a lot heat is vented off from this part of their bodies as well as their shoulders. Now move that hand to their backsides or chests, you will find these areas are significantly cooler than the aforementioned spots.

Males on the other hand, in comparison to the females, are rather lean and lanky which is why you'd find more in some of the planet's warmer regions. They are significantly lighter as well with the only fat they really have being stored in their tales. This is in part to their metabolism devoted to gathering food for themselves and their partner, and gamete production for when it comes time to mate.

Sexuality : Apacians have a somewhat complex sexaulity: most learn about sex at a young age by watching other members of their district engage in intercourse, through old ARC visual records, or by reading romance novels which often don't spare any detail. Public nudity and Intercourse are fairly common if permitted by the local assembly, sometimes accompanied by rape but no longer becomes rape if everyone agrees to it. Age of consent on their planet though is tricky subject though since most young Apacians become sexually active around their 8th year.

Reproduction : now here comes the interesting part, Apacian reproduction has changed a lot from before the bombs dropped due to their body adapting to the new environment, namely the re-activation of their potent pheromone glands with both genders have the capability to control these organs to send out messages and signal their location as well as their arousal. A Female will douse a location with her pheromones, often her home or wherever she feels comfortable, then wait for males or her males to come to her. Males are also capable of doing this but with mixed results, they either attract female or another male whom is he socially compatible with in which they might create a gang together. These bachelor groups increase the likelihood of reproducing with female or getting marked by one.

Females have a gland in their urogenital canal that can squirt a concentrated pheromone that permeates into the dermis of the skin, often released while mating. This marking scent repels any females who are genetically similar, though uncommonly, this will attract another whom she is compatible with to mark her males as well. Once said females in question locate one another after catching whiff of their individual marking scents, they will proceed to engage in fierce vigorous coitus where they will furiously mark one another and drench each other in their pheromones. Afterwards, the second female will move in with the first and have gained access to her harem as well as her trust to watch over one another's offspring.

Now onto the physical aspect of it, Apacians mate in the fashion that is typical of any viviparous Mammalian species. It should be noted though that there are some unique aspects to their physiology, both men and women. A female's clitoris is rather pronounced due its triangular shaped that protrudes half an inch outward when aroused or exposed to a male's arousal pheromone. Males of this race are well-endowed with a rather long appendages that has soft barbs located on and around their glans with a protective designed to stimulate a female's receptivity. This combined with their flexible spinal columns allows them to make oral contact with their genitals, though females will also utilize this to consume the raw placenta after a baby is born.

Most Apacians reach sexual maturity in their mid-adolescent years with males start producing their gametes around their 14th or 15th year. Females tend to be late bloomers, reaching full sexual maturity somewhere between their 16th to 21st year after their bodies fill out. Once her fat reserves and mammary glands are fully developed, her body will start producing eggs,

Fertilization : Viviparous; Apacian females are capable releasing additional eggs if provided enough stimulation.

Gestation : 5-7 Months, Most women on Apok much of their time pregnant though most don't mind when you have males at your beck and call.
