I threw open Alex's bedroom door and saw him crying into a pillow.

"Alex, I didn't know he was gonna do that!"

His voice was a little muffled, but I could still understand him, "Go away..."

"No. Not until you forgive me. I'm sorry."

"Why? It's not like you love me..."

"That's not true!"

"Yes it is..."

"No, it's not." I sat down on his bed and pulled him up out of the pillow.

"I love you Alex, and I want you to love me back." [Me]

"I do. I just... I just wish I was good enough for you..." He was trying to wipe tears from his eyes, but was having some trouble, so I reached over and wiped them out for him.

"Alex, you're more than enough for me."

"No I'm not... You deserve someone better... Someone like Garrick."

"My god! Even if I did, it wouldn't matter! I want you, and only you." He broke down into tears again, and hugged me so tight I felt like my innerds were going to get squeezed out of me. It didn't matter, I just wanted him to know that I loved him, because that's all that mattered...

The next day, Garrick sat next to us, and I was sure Alex was gonna shove him away. He apologized and said he was really sorry, and Alex seemed pretty okay with it. Later, after our last class, we met up with him on our way to the dorm, and wondered why he was following us up to the fifth floor.

"Oh, I thought maybe I... Could hang out with you guys. I guess I really should've asked-"

"No, it's fine. Just curious, is all." [Alex]

"Yeah, as long as Seth doesn't close the door behind us." [Ted]

"Why would I do that?" [Me]

"I mean, I guess Alex could, too."

"I don't have my key on me." [Alex]

"Neither do I." [Ted]

"Are you kidding me? I left mine in there 'cause I was sure at least one of you would have a key!" [Me]

"So we're locked out?" [Alex]

"Yup. This is embarrasing." [Ted]

"Well, you could always climb in through the roof." [Garrick]

"How are we gonna get on the roof?" [Alex]

"The ladder. You know there's a ladder, right?"

"No." [Me]

"Oh, there is. Come here, followe me." Garrick led us down the hall and into a small nook at the end. Sure enough, there was a ladder leading up to the roof, and we all climbed up inside it. Garrick pushed open the lid on the top, and we all climbed out onto the roof.

"This is amazing... You can see for miles." [Alex]

"Yeah. It's really nice at sunset." [Garrick]

"How did you know about this?" [Ted]

"I... My room mates treat me like crap, so I started trying to stay away from them. As long as I make sure my key is on me at all times, I'm fine. I come up here to draw and stuff. To get away from them, really."

"Oh... Dude, that's..." [Me]

"That's sweet." [Ted]

"Ted, I'm okay with kissing Seth on the nose, I'm not afraid of Alex." [Garrick]

"Hey!" [Alex]

"But Daniel I'm afraid of. Don't hit on me."

"I know, I was just pointing it out. It's kinda sweet." [Ted]

"Yeah, Ted basically hits on everyone." [Me]

"I do not!"

"Really?" [Garrick]

"Yeah, he's just a big softy." [Alex]

"You wanna find out how soft my fist is?!" [Ted]

"Heh heh heh, you guys are silly. ... So, which window is yours?" [Garrick]

"I bet mine's the easiest to find." [Ted]

"Why?" [Alex]

"His bed is a fucking mountain of sleeping bags, it blocks out the window." [Me]

"So? That's how mine is, except I sleep against my door so that my room mates can't get in and mess with me in my sleep." [Garrick]

"What are you afraid they're gonna do?" [Ted]

"I don't know, I'm just freaked out by them. They joked about how they'd hump my ass and stuff, and... I just don't trust them."

"Don't worry. You're safe with us." [Alex]

"You sure?"

"Yeah, we don't have any reason to hate you." [Ted]

"That's what my room mates said. Come on, let's find your window." We paced around for a few minutes, trying to figure out which window it'd be. We found his, then went to the window next to it since that one was actually easier to get into. We all slowly and carefully crawled down through my window, and managed to get in unscathed. Once we were inside, we went out into the main room and found that Zane and Isaac were already in there.

"How did you two get in?" [Ted]

"Door was unlocked." [Isaac]

"Say, who's that cutie?" [Zane]

"Uhh..." [Garrick]

"This is Garrick. He's in our art, english, and astronomy classes." [Alex]

"Oh. You wanna play some minecraft?" Zane held up a controller, and Alex was appalled.

"How did you get minecraft on my Xbox?!"

"Disk, duh." [Isaac]

"Okay, rephrase, WHY did you put it on my Xbox?"

"'Cause it's an awesome game!" [Zane]

"It really is." [Ted]

"Actually, you might like it Alex. You never know with sandbox games." [Me]

"What? I don't play sandbox games." [Alex]

"Then this is a great starting place. Grab a controller, and start punching wood."

"Punching wood- what?"

I gestured for him to take a controller, and we ended up playing minecraft until dinner. Afterwards, we decided we had enough people, so we brought in Zane's Xbox and hooked it up to the same system. The eleven of us just sat around playing video games for so long that we actually started getting used to the huge number of players.

Later we decided to let Garrick stay in our room for the night since he had shitty room mates, and actually ended up helping him move some more valuable stuff from his room to ours. He brought in his laptop, xbox, and a few games. We also brought in all his clothes since we didn't want his room mates fucking with his clothes, which they apparently did one time.

Zane, of course, wanted to stay, since he'd grown pretty fond of Garrick, and ended up cuddling up to him, and making him feel a little awkward. Garrick finally stopped caring when Zane sealed the deal with a kiss, which unleashed something in Garrick, who quickly grabbed Zane and... Let's just say I'm glad they left the room before lowering the land value.

The night ended with Zane and Garrick in Alex's room, and me and Alex in my room. I wrapped my arms around him from behind as I jumped into bed. He gave me a really happy look, and I smiled back at him. Everything was going perfectly, and nothing could mess it up.
