#1 of Shadow Kin

So, instead of a romance story that I couldn't get anywhere after chapter 2, I'm going to write this. An adventure book, about a somewhat insane guy.

My name is Devon, and at the moment I'm sitting in an empty room with my boyfriend, Sam, and my two best friends, Justin and Edwyn. At the moment we're all furries, Edwyn and I are wolves, and Sam and Justin are tigers. It's pretty awesome actually, ever since I became a furry I've wanted to be an actual one, and it's fucking awesome having a tail and ears. I've been playing with the whole time we've been sitting here, this is the first time I've been able too. I really wanted to be able to do it on Earth but I could only change when I had to fight other furries or a robot. So I should probably explain how we got to this point, and what fun would this be if I didn't start from how I found out I'm the Shadow Kin. So grab a cup of something, and read my words.

"Hurry up you guys!" I yelled. God they're slow, why can't they move faster? It's not like there's anywhere to fall and hurt yourself on this trail. Well, not at the moment anyway.

"We're going as fast as we can!" Said Sam. "We're not as hyper as you, you know." Sam is never fast on our hikes. I always have to wait for him when I get to far. But I love him and will wait no matter how long it takes, or how anxious I get.

"So you do this all time then?" Said Edwyn. He's a transgender by the way.

"Ya, it's fun going on walks with, and watching him run around." Said Sam.

"I can't imagine doing this all the time." Said Justin. He was the slowest.

"Come on guys! We're nearly at the rest stop!" I said. The first rest stop is a little bowl area with a waterfall going down into it. There's a perfect spot to eat there, and it's got a little pond in it too. It's my favourite stop.

We were finally at the spot when it happened. We had just put our stuff down when a light appeared out of nowhere. A few seconds later a body fell out of it, and the light disappeared. It was a furry wolf, and it was still alive, but badly hurt. When it got up it looked directly at me. "You," He said. "Come here. I need to tell you something." I walked over to him and he put his hands on my shoulders.

"You, are the next Shadow Kin. You are going to take my place." He said.

"What?" I said, I had no idea what the fuck was going on, but it was weird and exciting and I loved it.

"So, I'm going to become a creature like you then?" I asked. He nodded his head. "AWESOME!" I exclaimed. This was the best thing that could ever happen to me! I was going to be a furry!

"When I die, you will morph into a wolf, like me, and you will hear a voice. The voice is your teacher. It will tell you how to use your new powers, and train you until you can get to my planet. Gaia." He said. I nodded to show him I had taken all that in. "Good. Now, when I die, which should be any second now, I'm going to turn into light and enter your body. Just don't freak out." He said. Then he collapsed and turned into light, which then shot right at me, knocking me over. When I looked up, I saw that my body had turned into a black wolf, with a neon aqua colour on my feet and hands.

"This is so cool." I said to myself.

"What the hell just happened?" Said Justin.

"Well, it looks like he turned into a furry." Said Edwyn.

We went home right after, the walk for the spot to the car wasn't far. A few minutes after we started walking back I turned human again, and I heard a voice tell me that I would transform again when I had to fight something. We rode home in silence, and when we got back I felt sick and had to throw up. Shortly after that the voice told me exactly what I was. Apparently the Shadow Kin is some kind of god, who's power is light, which I find strange since shadow is in the name. It also told me that I'm going to have people trying to kill me now, and that he will tech me how to fight when one of them comes, since I can't be in furry form unless one of them comes. I'm not going to say the rest though. There's to much to say. But I knew that this was going to be fun.
