I know it has been several months since my last story. So as a way back to writing after my break, I figured to return to basics and go with my spoken word/poetry writing to help me get my grove back.

Writer's Block

I've hit a wall with my hand going numb when I pick up a pen,

The words won't come to my head as I struggle to find the right things to say.

My mind's in constant turmoil always twisting and turning, full of stories and poems,

But when it comes time to add it to the paper, the words don't come and my hand goes numb.

I'm tired of this writer's block.

It's not just a writer's worst nightmare, but a metaphor on life.

The word's are on the tip of the tongue, but they just don't come

The mind goes blank and the hand goes numb before the pen hits the paper.

Writer's block happens to the best of us, even an artist loses their muse from time to time.

It's hard to get back in the lab and put the pen to the paper to write the next best story

When you've been away for a short period of time and life's struggles and distractions don't help either,

It only makes this writer's block that much worse.

I'm tired of this writer's block.

It's not just a writer's worst nightmare, but a metaphor on life.

The words are on the tip of the tongue, but they just won't come.
