There's nothing quite like getting a bunch of video games to play because your friend's dad brings a thousand from home. Ted's dad showed up on Thursday, and was definitily appolled by the state of our dorm. It was actually pretty clean, but the emotions? Not at all. He walked in to see Rick and X cuddling under a pound of blankets from Rick's dorm, and he caught it at a bad moment when David and Daniel kissed. Ted blushed that these were his friends, and the rest of us just kinda laughed at the face he made.

"Uhh... You have some... interesting friends here, Teddy." [Ted's dad]

"Dad, I told you not to call me that anymore!" [Teddy]

"Sorry... So, where should I set these games?"

"I'll take those." Alex took a stack of twenty games from Ted's dad, who willing handed them over.

"So, where's the uh... Satanist?" [Ted's Dad]

"His name's Seth, dad." [Ted]

"And, I'm not a satanist." I got up off the couch and came around to shake Ted's Dad's hand.

"Okay, if you say so." [Ted's Dad]

"He's not." [Zane]

"Okay, so, who are all your friends?"

"I'm Zane."

"I'm Rick, and X had his tonsels out, so he can't talk well."

"Painful." [X]

"I'm Alex."

"I'm Daniel."

"David."

"And I'm Isaac."

"Oh, okay. Actually, you have a lot more friends than the two I expected." [Ted's Dad]

"Yeah, they... They're cool." [Ted]

"Four of 'em are gay."

"Actually, Seth's the only one who isn't." [Ted]

"I'm not gay! I just don't care. I'm a relationship anarchist." [Isaac]

"... Huh. Ted, may I speak with you for a moment?" Ted and his Dad went out into the hall. A minute later, Ted walked back in holding the box of supplies.

"So what happened?" [Alex]

"Dad doesn't trust that all my friends are gays." [Ted]

"I'm not gay." [Me]

"Neither am I." [Isaac]

"I know, but still. It's enough that it weirds him out." [Ted]

"Psh, still better than how how my parents would react." [Alex]

"Why?" [Zane]

"They don't know I'm gay, or atheist. They're like one of those seriously Christian families. They've even voted for those stupid, Christian lead, anti-gay things, like taking down Burger King just because they support gays."

"And yet, they chose to ditch you at some boarding school and go to Europe?" [Ted]

"It was they're only option. They're gonna move down to Amberstone City when they get back after Easter Sunday, so they decided to put me here. I wouldn't be alone at the house for fucking ever, and they wouldn't have to spend nearly as much money on their business crusades across Europe." [Alex]

"Oh. That sucks." [Isaac]

"Eh, they've done this in the past. I went to a boarding school a bit closer to home that last couple years, so I'm kinda used to not seeing them. Even during the summer, they'd leave early in the morning, get home around ten, and go straight to bed."

"So, why did they send you to boarding school the last couple of years?" [Me]

"Christian boarding school. Also, I'd had issues with public schools before, like getting teased and stuff. You know, for being gay."

"So, in short, your life has sucked for the past few years." [Daniel]

"Yup. Well, no. I mean, I did have a boyfriend in my last boarding school." [Alex]

"Really?" [David]

"Good for you!" [Ted]

"But he dumped me because he couldn't stand hiding our love from my parents, and since they went to the same church as his parents, we couldn't let them find out either. I don't entirely blame him for it." [Alex]

"Dude, your life has seriously sucked." [Ted]

"Eh, you get used to it. Just need something to take your mind off the pain, and your good."

"Like what?" [Isaac]

Alex showed his arm to Isaac, and who got an appalled look on his face when saw blood stained lines in his fur.

"Dude, you need to stop cutting yourself." [Isaac]

"No. I'm not going to. If I stopped, I'd probably kill myself. Literally." Alex just starred straight into Isaac's eyes, his face was completely serious. We all just stayed where we were for moment, waiting for someone to break the tension. Then Alex broke.

His eyes watered and his mouth began to quiver a little. He tried to not let it show, but it only made it more noticeable. Isaac just calmly stepped forward and hugged Alex, who crumbled into tears and sobbing.

We paused the game and just watched for the some twelve minutes that Alex cried. He said awful things about himself, and we just sat there denying all of it, but he didn't listen. He finally stopped talking and just cried. And cried. And cried. And cried.

We went back to playing the game, but pulled Isaac and Alex out of it. None of us talked, but we cast awkward glances at each other. We were all thinking it, Alex needed something. It's amazing how much pain someone can force themselves to endure, just so that they don't get even more. And who knows if his parents would really get mad or not. Maybe they'd give up on the anti-gay thing if their son was gay. But, maybe they'd get really mad, and put him in psychiatric treatment, or homeschool him to keep him from being around both guys and girls, or who knows what they'd do. Either way, we all silently agreed that Alex needs to know he's a good person.

About half an hour later Alex stopped crying, and just laid in Isaac's arms, afraid to let go. The rest of us went to go get lunch and brought something back for them, but only Isaac ate. Alex just refused to let go him. Finally, around two, I sat down next to Alex and patted him on the back. In a heart beat, I suddenly had Alex as a heavy attachment to my body. He held on to me, rubbing his head on my side. I reached around and squeezed him softly. After a few minutes, a smile grew on his face, but he still wouldn't let go. I didn't mind, it was nice to see him feeling better.

We watched the others play video games until four, which ended with Alex letting go of me and using the bathroom. I took my chance and picked up a controller, but he laid his head on my shoulder and watched me play when he came back out. He clearly just needed someone to keep him company.

At five thirty, there was a knock on the door. Daniel went to go get it, and was shoved out of the way by Carter.

"Yo, fags! Where's... Rick?"

Rick bit his lip as he glanced back and saw Carter, "Uhh, yeah?"

"What in god's name are you doing with these fucks?!"

"I'm playing video games, god, chill out Carter!"

"What are you, a fag?"

"You know what? I am. Now get the fuck out of here before I snap your horn like a toothpick!" Rick tossed the control to someone and walked over to Carter, glaring at him angrily. Oddly enough, having a massive, two hundred pound, black, wingless dragon stare you down with his bright red eyes is absolutely terrifying. Thus, Carter was gone before Rick even got to him. Of course, Rick's still a bit of a jock, and brute violence is the key in his mind. A minute later, Rick came back in rubbing his hands.

"What? What did I do?" [Rick]

"Something awesome." [Isaac]

"Why? I just grabbed him by his horns and held him down."

"That's it? You didn't, say, make him suck you off?" [Daniel]

"No, but I shoved it in his face and made him kiss it. You know, I didn't like drop my pants or anything."

"Oh, okay, 'cause that bulge is obvious as hell." [David]

"Part of it's my cup, though. I'm not dumb enough to not wear one like all the time."

"Well, this is way more information than I want to hear, so let's change the subject." [Me]

"Yeah, you said it." [Ted]

"Psh, you're just afraid you'll get turned on by it." [Zane]

"I'm afraid of the vivid nightmares I'm gonna have." [Ted]

"OWWW!!!!!" X like spazzed out and fell off the couch. He quickly got up and stumbled as he ran to my room. He came out a minute later and downed a pill, moaning and groaning. Rick grabbed him, and X held on, still groaning.

"Owww....."

"Wait, when were you supposed to take that?" [David]

"Two... OW!!!" Rick lifted X up, and it looked a lot more proportionate than when X had lifted him, since Rick was a foot taller than X. He carried him over to the couch and laid down on it, laying his feet on Alex's lap. I could smell them from where I was, and the stench was disgustingly strong. I noticed Alex get really nervous about it, and he wrapped his arms around me.

"C-could you move your feet?" [Alex]

"Huh? Oh, yeah. Sorry." Rick moved his massive feet and buried them under the couch cushion, and Alex started to ease up.

"Th-thanks."

"No problem."

"So, I just realized something. What else do we need to do before school starts?" [Daniel]

"Try-outs." [Ted]

"Oh, so we're almost done?" [Alex]

"I'm not! I still gotta try out for football!" [Rick]

"Swim team." [Ted]

"Cross country." [Alex]

"Wrestling." [David and Daniel]

"Oh, and Soccer." [Rick]

"Not to mention track." [Zane]

"Oh cool, I was gonna shoot for Track, too!" [Isaac]

"What? I'm like the only person who isn't doing any sports." [Me]

"Not me." [X]

"But you'll come watch me play, right?" [Rick]

"Yeah."

"God, you guys are lame." [Me]

"Why don't you just try out for Cross Country? You're certainly built for it." [Alex]

"But... I just don't like sports." [Me]

"Why not?" [Rick]

"I just never have. They're a boring waste of time."

"Why?" [Zane]

"Because... I don't know. I just never liked sports or PE. It was always so boring and pointless. I've never been good at them."

"But you're totally built for running. Seriously, I bet all your muscle mass is in your legs." [Alex]

"What muscle mass? Look at me, I can't even do one bench press with a fifty pound bar!"

"Do you know that?" [Isaac]

"Yes, as a matter of fact, I do. We had to do a stupid bench press last year, and I couldn't even lift the bar without any weights on it."

"Well, even so-" [Alex]

"Stop." [X]

X handed his phone to Rick, who read it aloud, "Leave him alone... if... he doesn't want- to... do sports... than w-he, doe-doesn't want to... do sports." Rick handed the phone back to X.

"Fair enough. You should at least come watch one of us play, then you won't be so bored." [Alex]

"Meh, I'll just sit and play video games for a while." [Me]

"They'll be going on at completely different times, anyways. It wouldn't matter. We'd always have someone to hang out with." [Zane]

"True." [Alex]

"I guess..." [Me]

"Even so, being alone would be nice from time to time." [Rick]

"Not as nice as it is to actually have friends." I felt my voice quiver a little as I said this and I think he caught on as to what I meant.

"Seth, we'd still be friends, we've got like every class together." [Alex]

"I know, just... I'm fine. Just don't let me think about it."

"Okay..." [Ted]

There was a long pause in the conversation as we sat and played Halo. Around seven we all went and had dinner, and came back to see the dorm hall in chaos. Another party? Nope. Pillow fight.
