Eternity's Sonata

Hi everyone, this is Kyo. This is my first posting on Yiffstar so i guess a small introduction is ok. I'm a writer, if that's not already obvious, so i would really appreciate feedback on how I'm doing. I would also appreciate comments that include certain things that you liked or certain things I could improve upon. I do have a yiff story in the works for those that think I should post it when its finished, if you think i should let me know, otherwise I'll probably be too nervous to post it.

Eternity's Sonata

Prologue

You have found yourself outside of a cave while searching for Echo Sonata, a wolf on the run for unknown reasons.

All your sources have pointed to him being here, and your job (given to you by a close friend) is to find out what happened to Echo, a close friend of your friend.

Upon entering the cave and exploring it somewhat you find Echo.

At first he thinks you've come to take him away, but you inform him you only want to know what happened.

He nods and hands you a book.

It seems beaten and worn, with pages from another book put on random areas of the inside.

You soon realize that these are torn from Echo's Diary and that the rest must be his memories.

Echo moves deeper into the cave to sleep as you move closer to the entrance to read.

You begin, of course, with the front cover.

Judging by the diary writing you assume its Echo's handwriting.

The Trials of Echo Sonata

My name is Echo Sonata...and I have done horrible things...

Will you listen to my story?

I will start from the beginning...

_Dear Diary,

We moved today. We now live a long way from the old house. I find myself missing Kuro and the others... But I mustn't be sad! I just wish I knew someone here...

There IS a fox next door, but I'm a little nervous about talking to him. He's always around these other foxes...

There's an orange one, I think his name is Kitsu.

There's a black one, I haven't heard his name yet.

There's also a white one, but I don't know his name either...

The black one scares me a little but the white one seemed friendly enough, as did the orange one.

But what would they think if they found out my secret...?

I don't want to have to move again, Mom's still mad about me letting it slip last time...

The time is a little different here. The sun rises really early and people refer to it as dawn for 12 hours (12 to 12). Day goes for seven (12:01 to 7:00).Then what people call night goes for 5 hours (7:01-11:59). It's all a little confusing...I like my old time better.

I have to run now...have to unpack.

_Dear Diary,

I finished unpacking, Mom's stuff was a real pain. Why does she have to have so many clothes??? â€"sigh- I guess women are something I'll never really get right? I guess that's why I'm the way I am, eh? But that's just between us...remember? Mom says that society accepts gays more than they used to and that it isn't a big deal but the kids that found out before didn't talk to me once they knew...But I guess I'm just full of secrets huh? I wish I could have a real friend...someone more like me...

OH! I took my weight and stuff earlier...So it's that time again...

Species: Wolf

Gender: Male

Eye color: Currently gold...I still haven't found out what makes them change though.

Oh, guess what else? That orange fox stopped by earlier and helped unpack! His name IS Kitsu, but his friends call him Kitt for short, or Kittsy if they want to tease him.

He told me he has a wolf friend too! He lives just down the street from us and he's over at Kitsu's house every now and then...

After a while of unpacking Kitsu took off his shirt...I had to hide my face because I started blushing... I don't think he noticed but he DID leave soon after that...so I guess I'm a little worried...

Well, it's time for dinner now

-Echo Sonata aged 16. 9:54 Night â€"Date: C-13, Year X-1._

"Echo, get down here!"

"I'm coming!" I shut my diary and ran downstairs, skidding into the kitchen.

"Dinner?"

"No, someone's here for you,"

I walked curiously to the front door, wondering who in the world would come to see me. I opened it and nearly jumped back in shock.

"What? I thought I didn't look that bad," Kitsu grinned from the front step. I struggled to keep myself from blushing.

"Kitsu, what are you doing here?"

"Well, I wanted to see a movie but I don't want to go alone. You want to come?"

"Sure," I ran upstairs to get dressed.

_Dear Diary,

GUESS WHAT? Kitsu showed up and invited me to the movies with him! I was pretty surprised; I mean we only met a few days ago...

He's sooo nice, he laughs a lot, he's pretty funny, and HOOOOTTT!!! I don't blush so much around him now. He seems okay around me, but I'm pretty worried that I'll screw up again...

He hugged me before he went home. It was one of those long kinds of hugs that makes you wonder if the person is okay...

Should I be worried?

I wonder if I'll ever be ready to talk about what happened at the old city...

Maybe someday..
