Sleepless Night
I hope this series doesn't go horribly wrong like the one I attempted before. These are two new characters I came up with during these days. Hope you like this pair and find it as adorable as I found it.
"Gosh... another sleepless night..." Riley thought as he looked with eyes wide open at the open window in his room, a cool wind blew through it in his room, while he unwillingly picked up all the menial sounds of the night: the clock slowly and painstakingly ticking away the seconds, the faint echo of a faraway dripping faucet, a car alarm ringing in the distance, the occasional sound of a car speeding by the street just outside his house, and the muffled sound of his younger brother snoring on the next room. He finally sat up, knowing he wouldn't get any sleep while looking at the door of his room. "I wish I could sleep as easily as Feuros does..." he thought, while he stared down at his feet. Just as he did his, he suddenly noticed something... his brother on the other room had stopped snoring, his brother would normally snore periodically and this would slowly lull Riley to sleep. But he had never stayed awake enough to hear his brother stop snoring, or even heard his brother stop snoring in one night.
"Maybe he's going to the bathroom" he thought, he heard the thud of his brother's feet standing up from his bed, and then he heard the faint thud of footsteps leaving the room. He turned his eyes from his feet to his door. He heard the footsteps stop at his door. Soon enough, it opened and the younger light blue dragon stepped in the room, and before he could advance further, he stopped noticing his awake older brother. "Um... hello Riley... I... I couldn't sleep..." He whispered, looking away from his brother's gray eyes and down to the floor. "Is that so Feuros? I can't sleep either." Riley calmly replied, Feuros lifted his eyes off the floor, he looked briefly at Riley, and then folded his wings around his thin frame. "I was wondering... if I could stay here with you?" Riley nodded as he moved to give space to Feuros. "Be my guest!" he whispered.
Feuros closed the door behind him, as he stepped to his brother's bed, before sitting down he grabbed a pillow nearby, sat down and hugged it close to himself. "Well what do I owe your visit to? You rarely come here if it's not to ask for a ball you threw in from the garden." Riley whispered, looking at his younger brother's blue eyes. "Well... I... don't laugh!" the younger dragon looked away, his wings closely folded to his body. Riley shuddered and inched closer to his sibling "I promise I won't." He was quite interested in what his adopted brother would say, he had never seen him so squeamish about something. "I had a... I had a bad dream." The younger dragon whispered as he yet again looked away, Riley couldn't help but feel a little warm inside. "He had a nightmare and came to me!" he thought.
"Well what was it about?" Riley asked, slightly extending one of his wings to cover Feuros with it, who blushed and pressed his knees with his hands. "Well... it was about... well don't you laugh! Just because I'm already 13 doesn't mean I can't be scared because of my bad dreams!" Riley chuckled and pulled his sibling a little closer. "You know... we've never been so close... but you're here tonight instead of facing it alone... and I feel happy for that." Riley wasn't really the touchy feely affectionate brother, but he did care about Feuros enough to make him feel better about what had happened. "Maybe it's better that you stop thinking about it and stay the night here... or maybe at least until you get sleepy again, then you can go back to your room." Riley whispered to the young dragon.
"Well... I... yeah maybe I shouldn't recall that dream." Feuros whispered, inching closer to Riley. "It's just that... well... Dad won't be home from his business trip until two more weeks... and... and..." He laid his head on his brother's chest, sniffling and trying his best not to cry. Riley sighed as he pulled his brother in a hug, lightly patting his head. "I know it's hard Feuros... but I'm here with you and we'll be safe until he returns. Ok? He's just been gone for one week. Only two more and he'll be back!" He folded his wings around his brother protectively "Let's just lay down like this and talk until you fall asleep, ok?" Riley whispered. Feuros nodded and they both laid down on his bed, with Feuros closer to the wall. "I just... feel scared." Feuros began whispering but Riley quieted him down pulling him in closer to his chest "It's okay... I'll be here with you."
Riley felt strange with his younger brother whimpering on his chest, he felt the urgent need to shower Feuros with love and gifts and kisses until he felt better, but he knew his brother would feel weird.The 19 year old dragon just held him in his arms as he covered him with his wings, and waited for the younger one to fall asleep again. "Riley... I didn't wake you up... right?" Feuros looked up at Riley, who just shook his head. "No... you didn't make any noise. I was awake already." Riley felt his brother's head lay back on his chest. "Oh... I thought I had. Say... have you been awake all night?" Riley took a quick glance at his bedside clock, "It's 2 AM... yeah I've been awake all night." He soflty ruffled Feuron's hair. "But don't worry, I'll fall asleep anytime now." Feuros let out a quiet brief laugh "I'm glad... we can sleep together."
Riley couldn't help but smile, feeling the warmth in his body spread all over it as he held his sibling close to him. He quickly felt shame though as he felt his nether regions heating up at the same time, just as he felt his member harden against his skin, he felt relieved when a quiet snore came from his younger brother Feuros. Eventually, watching his younger sibling's chest heaving with his breathing, Riley slowly felt his eyelids becoming heavier until he fell asleep himself, cuddling with his brother.
