A dream come true part 1

Xavier was doing it again, he knew he shouldn't be but there he was. Across the field from where Xavier stood sat the most beautiful fox he had ever seen. The fox was staring at the sky and listening to a pair of large headphones with a look of contentment on his face, he had the most gorgeous rust hair covering most of his body but had a large white blob on his stomach and white running up to his muzzle and on it. Xavier was just starting to take in his sparkling eyes and cute cocked ears when it hit him...a frisbee that is. He fell backwards and smacked his head hard on the ground, a burst of stars flashed through his vision and he closed his eyes and laid there groaning. He then heard footsteps approaching and snide laughing, Xavier opened his eyes and saw a large shadow looking down on him. A gruff but friendly voice came from the form and asked, "you ok bro?" Xavier laughed and said, "yah, sun must've been in my eye, didn't see the frisbee." The formed laughed then reached down a hand, "oh something was in your eye alright but it wasn't the sun." Xavier grabbed on and was lifted up, and there stood his friend Adam. If Xavier was considered tall at 6'3" Adam was a giant towering at around 6'7", he was tall for any species but as a wolf, which usually don't get that big, he was almost obscenely huge. He had a light gray coat with white on his legs and spots of brown on his head, which he was currently shaking at Xavier. Adam laughed again and asked, "you were staring at that fox again weren't you?" Xavier blushed and nodded in the affirmative. "I swear, you ask me to go to the park with you every week to, play and you know just hang, as you say. I bet you only ask me to come here to check out that fox." Said Adam. "Man you use your friend, then you don't even have the guts to talk to the fox." Xavier bent over and picked up the frisbee, "oh c'mon man it's not like that and you know it, I come here to hang out with you." He turned and looked at the fox in awe, "he's just an added bonus." "An added bonus you're to much of a pussy to even talk to." Adam scolded. Xavier looked down, "yah...your right." He kicked at the grass and sat down. Adam smacked him on the back of the head knocking him over again. "Damn straight I'm right and don't your forget it, now let me help you at least talk to him." Xavier sat back up rubbing the back of his head, "you would really help me?" He asked, "we'll no shit ill help you." Said Adam, "what are friends for?" Xavier stood and looked at Adam, then over to the fox. "But how?" He asked. " I have a plan." Said Adam with a wink. "You have a plan?" Xavier asked, "you? Of all the animals on the world...you have a plan?" "I know it's crazy." Adam said, "but it's true. "I'm not even sure I want to hear it." Xavier said with a snicker. "Oh c'mon." Adam chided, "do you want to do this alone?" Xavier's smirk died instantly. "No." He said. "That's right you don't." Adam said as he patted him on the back, "so let me help you out."Xavier looked up and smiled, "ok let's do it what's your plan." A huge grin spread across Adams muzzle as he took the frisbee from Xavier's hand. "Here's how it's gonna go down." He said, "you're gonna move over near the fox and I'm going to throw the frisbee to you and...well...you're gonna let it peg you in the face again. BUT, this time where the fox can see and then he asks if you're ok and BOOM conversation started." Adam looked over to Xavier grinding but then felt his face slacken a little as he saw the look of pure horror on the horses face. "ARE YOU INSANE?" Xavier yelled and asked while rubbing his muzzle. "I'M PRETTY SURE YOU BROKE MY NOSE WITH YOUR LAST THROW, AND BESIDE THAT WHAT IF HE DOESN'T NOTICE? WHAT IF HE LAUGHS?" Xavier's mind was spiraling with the thought that he was never going to be able to talk to the beautiful fox, and mixed with the seeming stupidity of Adams plan it all combined to make him half hysterical." "Woah woah woah calm down man, it's ok." Adam spoke as e moved over and hugged his friend. "I'm not going to peg you in the far like last time, I'll throw it soft I don't want to kill you just help you, and besides of course he's going to notice I'm pretty sure he noticed the last fall you took." "AAAHHH IT'S EVEN WORSE THAN I THOUGHT HE PROBABLY THINKS IM SOME CLUMSY IDIOT!" Xavier was having an almost complete mental breakdown at this point. Adam looked down at his friend then sighed and smacked him, hard, across the face "MAN THE FUCK UP AND GO TALK TO HIM" he firmly but friendly said. Xavier looked up a Adam, then down at his feet. "Sorry bro you're right." He said as he stood up, then looked over at the fox to make sure he was still there. "Ok I'll move over there when I nod throw the frisbee, ok?" Xavier asked while walking over to the other end of the field. Adam nodded as he moved to position to throw the frisbee. "I hope this works" he thought. Xavier finished walking and looked over at the fox, then quickly rubbed his muzzle and looked back at Adam, "this is for you." He thought as he nodded at Adam. "Here goes nothing" Adam said as he lined up the shot then threw it towards Xavier's face. He watched as it flew threw the air and again pegged the horse in the face knocking him down. It was then that he also noticed the fox was still staring happily at the sky. "Oh shit." He thought, "Xavier is going to kill me." Adam quickly turned and started running back towards the parking lot trying to avoid Xavier's most likely imminent wrath. Xavier's vision for the second time that day swam with stars, he sat on the ground groaning and trying to recover. Luckily for him it was at that moment that the song the fox was listening to came to an end, he pulled out his phone and turned off the music. Slipping off his headphones he heard an unusual sound. "It sounds like someanimal is in pain." He thought, it was then that he looked on the ground and saw the horse lying down holding his bleeding muzzle." "Oh you poor thing!" The fox exclaimed as he stood up. He stood up and walked over to the coal grey horse with the close cropped black mane and crouched down next to him, "are you ok?" He asked. Xavier looked up and into the foxes sparkling eyes, then too his perfect smile and teeth, and finally to his cute little ears, "never been better." Xavier whispered. The fox blushed on controllably then stood up, "I'm sorry I thought you were hurt, I'll leave you alone then if you're ok." "NO WAIT!" Xavier practically shouted, he smiled to himself blushing then stood up holding out a hand, "Xavier...I mean name...I...you..." He stumbled over his words before looking down taking a deep breath, then looking back up "I meant to say hi, my name is Xavier, you are?" He asked. " besides gorgeous what else can he be he thought in his head." The fox nervously looked away and muttered something unintelligible under his breath. "I'm sorry I didn't hear right." Xavier said, looking hopefully at the fox. The fox avoiding his eyes looked over at the parking lot. "I'm sorry I have to go." He loudly whispered before quickly walking away. "You're an idiot." He said to himself, "even trying to talk to a beautiful creature like him." Xavier looked down, feeling the blood drain from his face. "Goddamnit you came on to strong, what the hell you were right you'll never get a stunning creature like him. How do you know he's even in to guys, how do you even know he likes horses!" Xavier berated himself mentally, he looked up towards the quickly retreating fox. "I might as well go apologize." He whispered under his breath. Breaking into a quick trot he quickly caught up to the fox. "Wait, please." He said, watching as the fox stopped walking then barely looked over his shoulder. "Here it comes," the fox thought. "He's going to start mocking me just like all the others." He looked at the well toned body of the horse, the rippling chest and arm muscles. "Oh please don't hurt me, please don't be like them." He thought. "I'm sorry I was weird back there, I just...I-I...ITHINKYOURECUTEANDIWANTYOURNUMBERSOWECANHANGOUT..." Xavier quickly spoke running all the words together half yelling. "I'm sorry I didn't mean that..."he whispered, "can I at least have your name?" The foxes face went from scared,to amazed, then to smiling, then back to scared, then finally settled on a deeply blushing grin. "I'm Jamie," he whispered. Then took out a piece of paper from his pocket and quickly scribbled a number on it before handing it to the horse. Xavier stood there dumbfounded before taking the paper and cradling it like a newborn infant. "Thanks," he whispered. Then he watched as Jamie mumbled a quick bye and started to jog off towards the parking lot. Xavier stood watching him before turning and walking back to where he fell the second time. No thoughts ran through his head as he bent over and picked up the frisbee, he stood straight and looked down at it, then down at the number. "I did it..." He whispered, then leapt into the air and shouted, "I DID IT!" In the parking lot Jamie stood next to a truck holding his keys then upon hearing the noise turned back towards the field. "I'm so happy he did." Jamie thought before slowly opening his door and stepping in with a huge smile on his muzzle.
