#6 of Ricky Ratt

Alright, you got kinky sex in the last chapter, and will get some good action in the next chapter, so I'm gonna bore you with more story now, haha. Another look into the "normal" life of Ricky and Andy as things start to wind down after the tour and get back into a schedule. Although, there is just a touch of naughty towards the end if you keep reading that far...

I spent all of Tuesday not doing a damn thing. Well, nothing insanely productive anyway. I finally woke up at 2 or 3 pm as usual and lazily rolled out of bed. A quick shower and then my ass was down on my couch, quickly diving balls deep into my newest game. A few hours after that, after getting a little sore from sitting, I finally got up and took a nice leisurely jump into the pool. The temperature was perfect, the water was clear, and I couldn't have been happier as my naked body was gently caressed by that water. I swam a few laps back and forth rather casually, knowing that my first real workout wouldn't be until the next day. But still it felt nice to hop back into a pool and get everything moving once again after such a long tour.

Swimming was my preferred method of exercise. It was an entire body workout in the first place, both for cardio and muscle development, and it didn't put nearly as much stress on my aging joints as running did. And after touring almost constantly for 10 years, I quickly learned just how much abuse a body can take from being out on the road, joints and all. So the less strain I could get in the off season, the better. Not to mention that I was almost a natural for the water it seemed.

After the pool there was a few more video games before finally busting out the guitar. I did my best not to think about "work" the first week or two back from a tour, but nevertheless I had to cement and record a few new ideas I had for riffs, solos, and other song bits. I'd come up with a good number of ideas during the sound-checks for our shows, and I wanted to make sure I wouldn't forget them. Of course, we'd end up maybe using one or two for a song or something if I was lucky, but that's how music really works. You don't have to be good at writing music, you just have to write a LOT of it... and something good will eventually pop out.

So, it was just me, my guitar, and my online notebook for the rest of the night, along with a simple audio recording program to make sure I got at least the basics of each idea down. While my creative juices were flowing I took a quick look at my lyric notes too. I changed a few things, found better rhymes, and tried to figure out a melody or two that was slowly coming together... Nothing intense, just a basic going over for now. The songs would really start to form when the rest of the band met up and started to exchange ideas. Right now I just wanted to make sure I had something to show them when we finally did meet back up.

I continued a little more of the idea sorting this morning after I got up, but I didn't have too much time to get deep into it. I had to get myself dressed, into my car, and down to Andy's apartment. Today was Wednesday. It was our combined gym day. Of course, when I wasn't touring, nearly every day for me was gym day once I got my schedule up and running. But, on Wednesdays and usually Sundays I forced the rabbit to come along with me. It wasn't that he was truly fat or anything, the little bit of chub that I tease him about notwithstanding, but it was more of a maintaining workout than anything. Just to make sure he really didn't start getting any heavier than he already was. And of course it did add a little muscle to his frame and help him shed a few pounds here and there, so he came along more or less willingly... usually.

I felt like today might be a little tough for both of us though. My body was still recovering from the tour, even with the intense bit of rest yesterday, and Andy... well, who knows just how much he really continued to hit the gym without me. So, as I finally pull into his apartment complex I kind of prepare for the worst.

I'm there a little early like usual as I use my own key to enter his building, always having to fight the traffic near the city at this time of day. I take in the refreshing sight of the small but functional apartment though once I get in, noticing how it was changed around just a little bit since I was last here. The first things to catch my eyes were a few new pieces of artwork hanging on the walls, mostly band posters. I smirked as I turned around to see a rather large Heretic Nightmare poster as well, with my own intense eyes glaring back at me. It was more or less front and center in the room as I took a moment to gaze over it, that familiar photo of me continuing to stare back as the rest of the band around me added in their gazes as well.

But, soon enough I broke off the staring contest and made my way into the kitchen. I broke out the two plastic water bottles from the cupboard and started to fill them up with water from the filtered pitcher in the fridge. I was just getting the caps screwed back on top when the front door started to open again.

"Good Morning Sunshine," I say out as I slide the pitcher back into the fridge, grabbing the bottles and moving them to the end table by the couch. There I'm greeted with a firm hug and a little kiss from the bunny as his arms lazily wrap around me.

"You know it's like, 5:30 right? Not exactly morning..." he adds with a soft sigh before letting me go.

"Morning enough for me," I say back with a slight smile. "Ready to pump some iron?" I add back with a far more excited grin then he seemed to have.

"Not really..." he adds with a groan as he slips past me to his bedroom, slowly slipping off his work clothing and starting to get himself dressed a little more appropriately to head to the gym.

"Well too bad!" I call back out loudly as my tail gently swishes behind me. I can't say I'm itching to go either, but I know we both rather need it. And the sooner we get this first major hump over then the sooner we can get on with making it a regular thing again. Plus, my workouts with Andy were always much easier than those I had the rest of the week with my personal trainer... now HE was crazy. Today I was free to do what I wanted, as hard as I wanted, and that usually meant a steady jog on the elliptical for me.

Andy soon pops back out in just an old T-shirt and his gym shorts, his ears tied back behind his head as he strolls back out and picks up his bottle of water. I give him a small smirk before pointing to myself up on his wall. "Got a little lonely, huh? Needed me around?"

"Oh, I always need you around..." he adds with another casual, time-stalling hug as he leans in against my chest.

"Such a needy guy you are..." I add with a chuckle before slowly pushing him off. "Come on, lets get going..." I give my own little groan at my words before slowly turning towards the door and making my way out of it. He was quick to follow me out, locking the door and heading down the stairs behind me.

This gym was one of those cheap chain gyms, the one everyone has a membership to and doesn't feel like going, but doesn't cancel it as it's only $10 a month or so. Compared to the gym Andy and I go to on the weekends up near me, which goes for $150 a month, this place is a junk heap of sweaty fat guys and chubby soccer moms. But, it still has some basic equipment, and is only a block away from his apartment. So, instead of making him drive all the way up to me after work, we figured this would have to do. We stroll in after a short walk and a little chit chat before heading on back for the cardio section.

A line of treadmills, bikes, stair steppers, and ellipticals meet us as I pick out my favorite one - the one right in front of the TV playing CNN. I slip my water bottle into the holder and start to stretch as Andy does the same next to me. A few moments later I hop up onto the elliptical and give it a few pumps to start it up. I select whatever options I usually have and slowly start to pop in my ear buds, setting up my high-energy music to help move my legs faster.

I start to lose myself in my music as I read the news of the day on the subtitles on the TV, the only time I ever really pay attention to the news. All the while my legs are pumping back and forth, jogging along at a good pace as I can feel the sweat start to drip down my body before too long. I glance over on occasion to the sweating and panting bunny next to me as well, trying to hide my chuckles at watching him struggle to keep up with my pace. And, after about 20 minutes, he's had enough.

He finally jumps off the machine and wipes it down with a towel, motioning to me that he's gonna take off. I give him the usual disappointed look I give him when he quits early, but finally wave him off with a reminder to at least use the bench press and sit up machines before he heads back. If he does or not I'm not sure, but about 45 minutes later I hop off my own machine and make use of them myself. Nothing all too strenuous today as I go nice and easy. A few sets later and I'm following the rabbit's trail home.

When I walk in the smell of frying onions and asparagus hits me fairly quickly. I take a final chug of my water bottle before tossing it into the sink next to the slowly cooking rabbit. "What's for dinner today?" I ask as I come up behind him and lean my chin on his shoulder.

"Well, first dinner here in a while," he says back with a little stir of the onions. "Figured I'd do something special.... today is steak! And the decently good stuff this time too," he adds as he turns around, giving me a quick smooch on the cheek, and then pushes past me out towards the patio. There he lifts up the roof of the grill and checks on the meat as I can hear a nice hearty sizzle in the process.

My mouth starts to water slowly as I smile and say, "Need any help with anything?"

He quickly comes back over, checking on the asparagus before adding in, "You could stir the mashed potatoes in the microwave if ya like."

I let out a soft chuckle at that and slowly walk over to the microwave, popping open the door and grabbing a fork to slowly stir the still slightly frozen spuds in their large container. "Man, you trying to feed me into a coma?" I say back before giving the potatoes a few more minutes to cook.

"Oh come on, it's not THAT much food..." he says back, heading outside yet again to turn the steaks.

I figure it's best not to bug him TOO much while he's running around, so I just slowly shake my head as I start to set the table, getting a few plates, forks, knives, and getting a drink poured for each of us as well. By the time I'm done the steaks are done, and the rest of the food slowly makes it way onto both plates. We each take a seat at his tiny little square table and start to dig in.

"Mmmm, did you marinate the steak?" I ask after a few bites, finding it quite tasty as I chewed on the rather large piece of medium-rare meat.

"Mmmm, overnight... turned out good, huh?" Andy says back with a smirk. I have to hand it to him, he can cook up some rather good stuff sometimes... I just give him a soft nod back, and we're silent most of the rest of the time as we're both busy chowing down - the TV playing something in the background to make sure it's not completely silent in the room in the mean time.

Andy's first to finish like usual, but I push along and force myself to polish off my plate too... all but a few fork fulls of potatoes as I'm well stuffed. "Mmmph, you know, all this food kind of defeats the purpose of hitting the gym..." I add as I plop my dish into the sink next to the rabbit's.

"It's steak, it builds muscles with protein and stuff," he says back, giving a weak flex before he plops back down onto the couch. I join him with a lazy little groan as my full belly feels like it's a bowling ball in my gut at this point.

I add back a firm burp at that as I slowly say, "I think that only works to a certain extent...."

He just chuckles softly and gives a little meep as he wraps his paws around my body and pulls in against my sweat-stained T-shirt, slowly laying his head against my chest as I reach for the remote. Again I flip through a few things before I find something semi-interesting, both of us kind of zoning out and watching for a bit as we digest. "Mmmm, we gonna play a game, or just watch TV?" I say with a little squirm, my post-workout muscles starting to recover with the new burst of food energy in my system.

"I'm fine just watching a movie..." he says with a smile against me, causing me to push up and walk over towards his DVD rack. I pick out some old action movie that I haven't seen in forever, and after hitting the bathroom I come back to see the movie already playing. I smirk and slide in next to the rabbit again, feeling his paws on my chest and sides as we relax and watch.

When the movie ends there isn't too much time left for much. It's getting close to 10 pm, which was the rabbit's bedtime. So I slowly peeled the bunny off me, got up and stretched, and hit the bathroom again. When I came back out I was already T-shirtless and pantless, just in my underwear. Those were quick to slide off too as I kicked them towards the bunny, and he dodged with a soft chuckle. I went over to get some fresh clothes that I brought with me, slipping on the underwear first and then my pants, finally a nice black T-shirt to fill me out.

"Heading out to Hemlock again?" Andy asks from the couch, still being lazy as his leg slowly dangles off the edge and swings back and forth.

"Maybe," I say back, adjusting my fur a bit in the mirror. "We'll see who's playing tonight. Some nights it's just... blah. Maybe I'll hit somewhere smaller. I'm gonna be at Hemlock tomorrow actually. Gonna guest star with Renegades of White Noise again."

"Ah, cool," he says perking his ears up a bit and looking over. "Wish I could go... You were awesome last time with them!"

"Heh, flattery will get you... hell, probably somewhere, who knows?" I say with a little chuckle, walking over towards the couch as he finally lazily gets up. I wrap my paws around his back and give him a soft hug before he adds in a quick kiss to my lips. "Alright, good night you lazy bunny," I say with a smile as I slowly pull away.

"Take it easy Rick. Love ya," he says with a returned smile as I just cock my paw and wave it, then slowly turn around and head out the door.

Once firmly seated in my car again I whip out my phone, looking up just who WAS playing at the Hemlock tonight. It was some band I'd never heard of, and their youtube link didn't really impress me much, so I just kinda shrugged and decided to try a different venue. I didn't really want to drive all the way into the city anyway, especially since I was going to be there tomorrow. So, I started my Lotus and pulled out of Andy's parking lot onto the main street in town.

The first bar I drove by, the closest one to Andy's place that I knew had live heavier music, didn't have anything up on their sign for tonight besides Karaoke, so I sighed and made a U-turn, driving over to the back-up bar. This one did have some kind of band playing. 'A Splinter in my Side' it read tonight, which seemed promising enough. I parked my car and strolled in.

I took a seat at the bar just as the band was setting up. I quickly ordered a beer from the bartender and tried to keep as inconspicuous as possible, hoping no one noticed who I really was. The bartender did of course as I'd been here a few times before, but the ferret kept his lips shut as he slid me over a frothy mug of the golden liquid. I made it about halfway through the beer before I heard the quick sound-check from the band, turning my attention from one of the TVs above the bar towards the stage.

It was a 5 piece band it seemed. Drummer, bassist, two guitars, and a singer. Their guitars were tuned down to at least drop D as they started to check their levels, so that was a decent start at least. Too low and it would be straight up death metal which I wasn't really a fan of. And all the way up to E... well, they could still be good. But most metal certainly sounded better a little lower I kinda figured.

My expectations kind of faltered a bit though as they took the stage. They came out with a bit of energy, I'll give them that. At least the singer seemed to have some. The rest of the band... kinda bland and focused on what they were playing instead of actually playing it. And, all that focus didn't really help them as they were still sloppy, which was the worst part. Even for a live show they were sloppy, off beat, and off key sometimes as well. It didn't help that their guitar riffs, while more metal than not, were fairly generic and boring. And the robin's singing wasn't much better. He was flat more often than not, and when they did have a few screamy parts he wasn't even all that good at that. Not to mention his melodies were pretty basic and boring in themselves.

I sighed softly to myself as I started looking around the bar a bit now instead of focusing in on the band after a few songs. If the music was bad then at least I could try and salvage the night by finding someone to hook up with or something. But, there wasn't much going on around the bar area either. Seems like everyone kind of knew this band was sucky and stayed away tonight. Wish I would've listened as well...

But, there was a slight glimmer of hope for me as my eyes caught the sight of a rather bushy gray tail. I eyed it's owner up a bit and found a rather good looking squirrel waiting for me when my eyes finally reached her, having to look around the bartender and a few of her friends to get a good look. I suppose she wasn't as strikingly gorgeous as some of the other women I'd been with, but for a night like tonight I would more than happy to settle for a little time with her. My eyes slowly slid down from her decently sized breasts to her nice hips as she stood up for a moment, taking in the whole package as I thought about what to say. I was just about to make a move on her, finally building up my confidence a bit so I could fight through her little group of friends to get at her. But, before I was ready to strike, I slowly watched a German Shepherd take a seat next to me and order a beer himself. He smiled as he turned over towards me and said over the loud cacophony of 'music' coming from the stage, "Enjoying the band?"

I could only chuckle heartily at that as I slowly shook my head a bit. "You want me to be painfully honest? No. Not really."

He looked a little shocked at that and then frowned a bit as his beer showed up. "W...why not?" he asks slowly before taking a sip.

I started to make a list of stuff in my head as I took another sip of my own almost empty glass, then gently said back, "Well, their riffs are basic and rather boring. The singing is off key, and when it's not the melodies are rather bland and boring as well. They just don't seem very tight... timing is off. And, from what I can hear from the vocals, they're not exactly poems. Kind of like I'm listening to a foreign band try to sing in English..."

I'm not USUALLY that critical of other bands to be honest, knowing that my band has it's fair share of hate mail as well. Plus, these were kids just starting out with their instruments and music most likely. I should've given them a bit of a break, but those words were out before I could even really think much. And as soon as they hit the canine's ears I watched his expression turn even more grim at my analysis.

"Heh, well, that's my brother up on stage there, so I'm kinda forced to like them..." he says in a slightly hurt tone, trying his best not to outright disagree with me. He probably knew as well as me that they weren't very good. But, once you get behind someone you've gotta stay there, whether or not whatever you believe is true. Especially when there's family involved.

I just gave a small smile and then added a small pat on his thigh as I said, "Well, it's good you stick by your bro at least. Any band can write a good song, but to have dedicated fans... that's the hard part. Hell, a few more like you, and a little more practice and refining, and who knows? How old is everyone?"

He seems to perk up a little bit as I seem to give him some hope, gently saying back, "Most of them are too young to drink... hence their wristbands. I'm 22 myself though. Older brother," he adds with a little wink as he points to his empty wrist.

"Eh, they're still young," I say back and finish off my beer with a chug. "They've got time if it's what they want to do. If you want my advice though, tell them to take a step back and work on what they got first before writing anything else. See if they can improve a few riffs, a few lyrics, and few melodies. And hell, if they have to scrap it all, then scrap it and start fresh. With some hard work, and if they're dedicated enough, they could be something one day."

How much I believed of that I'm not sure with the off key screeching and open D riffing riffing in my ears, but hey, I hated to break some kid's dreams more than telling him a few white lies.

"Thanks," he says softly, taking another long sip of his beer before looking at me kind of strange for a moment. I tried not to let out a nervous gulp as I figured I knew what was coming, and as the Shepherd opened his muzzle I braced myself slightly for the question.

But, I didn't get a question, it was more of a statement. "You know, you look a lot like Ricky Ratt," he says casually with a small chuckle. "You know, from Heretic Nightmare? Sorry, I just kinda noticed."

I did my best to chuckle at that as I slowly said back, "Yeah, I get that all the time. Everyone says rats look a like anyway." I hoped yet another little white lie would get him off my back, and thankfully for me he just gave a little nod and seemed content with that answer. I let out a soft sigh of relief as he fell silent for a bit.

But soon enough he turned back, and I tensed up yet again at the impending question, before he just slowly says, "So, if you don't like the band, what are you still doing here?"

"Oh, you know," I say casually, glad the Ricky Ratt thing was finally dropped, "Just looking for someone to maybe hook up with tonight... it's what guys do at bars, right?" I add with another firm chuckle.

He looks a little surprised at that as he takes another quick sip of his beer, saying back, "I see... having any luck?"

"Not really," I add as I look back over to the squirrel, seeing her and her friends slowly start to get up and get their things together. I let out a soft curse under my breath before looking back at the cock blocking canine and quickly turn my frown into a smirk. "Not unless you don't live too far from here and invite me back after the show...."

I always feel a bit weird asking out other guys at the bar like this. Even if this was San Francisco, and most guys were at least cool with being asked casually, it still left a little strange tingle in my stomach sometimes. It just seemed... wrong might be a bit far to go, but definitely different. Not that it stopped me from doing it of course. If anything it made me hesitate, or wait for just the right guy to stroll on by. You know, the one that looked a little TOO good and girly to at least not be curious...

The canine took a second to process what I just said before I saw him blush, rather cutely I might add. He wasn't exactly my preferred type, and to be honest wasn't the best looking canine I'd ever seen, but I didn't have too many other options at this point now that my squirrel chick was leaving. And besides, sometimes the one you would never think of trying turn out to be the fun one.

"I... um..." he said, stumbling over his words a bit before catching himself and saying, "I don't really... do that kind of stuff...."

I chuckle at his nervous display as I just give back a casual shrug. "Eh, had to ask at least. I'm bi myself. Know anyone else who might be looking?"

I think I must have scared him a bit as he just quickly shakes his head and finishes off his beer. I give another gentle shrug and a lazy whip of my tail behind me as I say, "Ah well, that's how it goes sometimes I guess."

And, as luck would have it, at that moment the band up on stage hit a few final notes, and the robin quickly yelled out, "Thank you, we love you all, goodnight!" before crashing down with a few final chords and blows.

'Thank God', I said to myself under my breath as I turned back to the canine, slowly watching him get up.

"I've gotta go help them pack. I'm the one driving," he says with a smile back at me. "But good luck Ricky Ratt guy," he adds with a smirk before heading off towards the stage.

I smile weakly at that before pulling out some cash and tossing it onto the bar table. The squirrel is long gone, and now even the shepherd is gone too... all that's left around me is an older bear and what HAS to be a hooker sitting next to him, chatting him up. I figured I've had enough for the night and just slowly stand up, heading back towards my car.

I jump in and consider my options for tonight, but find nothing much else worth doing as I just start up the car and get back on the highway. Traffic was light this time of the night at least, which was a nice change from when I battled against it coming down to Andy's place. So I just got myself set to cruise and flipped through a few songs I needed to practice for tomorrow night over and over again on my Ipod, blasting them and carefully singing along.

By the time I knew it I was back home. I pulled my car in and let out a lazy sigh as I crashed down onto my couch. A few more moments and I had that game controller in my paws again, playing for a few more hours until I finally got bored. Then, instead of the bed, I got up and went to the computer.

This certainly wasn't the first time I came back home empty pawed, and it had been a good long while since I needed to whip up the internet to get my rocks off anyway. I stripped down naked and took a seat in my comfy chair, typing in my favorite porn site address and kicking back. A few videos later my paw was over my hard cock, slowly stroking away as I let out a few light moans under my breath.

Those first videos were nice as a tease, but soon enough I needed something to get me over the edge. Thinking back to the days events I typed 'Squirrel' into the search bar, but before hitting enter I decided to throw in 'Shepherd' as well, just for the hell of it. I surprisingly got a few results back, finally decided on a male squirrel rutting a female German Shepherd video to lay back and paw to. It wasn't exactly what was on my mind, but the action was good enough to get me to grab a tissue from the tissue box and hold it near my cock tip as my orgasm finally shot out all over that white piece of paper.

I gave a few deep breaths and a few wipes of my cock before crumpling the tissue up and throwing it into the trash next to my desk. I wiped my paw on my thigh and started to relax a bit as I settled into the chair, enjoying the afterglow for a few moments before reaching up to close the site. I spent a little more time on the computer since it was on checking my email and the band's forums and such, but after that was all done I logged off and hit the bathroom. A nice piss and a brushing of my teeth later I was more than happy to slide into bed and curl under the covers. This made it a few nights at home now that I'd beaten the moon to sleep, and the darkness felt good as I closed my eyes and began to drift away.
