Belic Story. From WW2
It was Clear, the sky wasn´t so beautiful but it was okay (begins to break down) The Officer call us to go to Omaha Beach. We asked him why but he only shout us stronger.
6:25 AM
The hell begins here, the US troops launch a Naval Bombing over us, a bigger and closer one, the ones that couldn´t reach the bunker or the shelters died on the beach. (begins to cry in a small amount)and then i saw them. my-y-y-y friends were there....bleeding to death, a-a-and i couldn´t not help them.(break down begins more stronger) the Officer saw the landing crafts and somo uf us were so shoked that we couldn´t move. The mines were doing theyre job on the water with those landing crafts.but the first wave continued advancing over our terrain(the wolf stoped talking and lied over the table for a minute crying)
German Officer: Are you okay tenient?
Yes, I-I-I´m fine, thanks sir
German Officer: what happened next?
The US troops begin to land on the cost, then our Mg´s begin to fire at them but ,small groups could make it to our bardwires we were shooting and wasting bullets like there were ulimited, then a messenger came and said to me that I´ll be better shooting from a coastal gun, because appart of the coastal gun noise, it was a perfect sniper possition. I accepted to go and 2 minutes after i leave,the US naval bombing hit the bunker were i was and the reaming of that bunker was only the floor and some dead and burning bodys (the wolf begins to clench his fists and become a little bit angry). A minute after we arrived "it has a great point of view" i thought for a moment,then i saw the second wave became to land.
German Oficer: and then?
by the damage they have caused, they were more soldiers that could pass our defences.Then they tried to blow up our defences, the bardwires to be certain, and they pass, like if it was nothing!(He became more angry this time) like if we were a small rock on they road! (he gets totally angry and smash the table with his hands) Like if we were a funny game! like if we were nothing!!!
German Officer (puthing a hand on the cover of his Luger pistol):Sit down and relax tenient. I´m not the enemy. remember who is and for what are we fighting for.
I´m sorry sir, i just explode for what happened after.
German Officer: and?
Some US soldiers begin to enter in our trenches.they were firing at our troops like a moose in hunting season. I take some shots to them but i couldn´t kill enough of them. Then they set fire to our Mg´s possitions and wen our soldier were burning they laugh and shoot them like if they were toys (The wolf started again to get angry,but the officer put the hand again in his gun) some of us begin to evacuate and we were lucky, some bunkers become to ashes in a few seconds after we leave somo troops stay in trenches and they surrender, some were lucky and the US soldiers don´t kill them. others did not run with the same fate.
German Officer: so you were defeated? and you escape with ammo and essentila documents?
Yes sir
German Officer: and why you want to return to the battlefield?
I don´t want
German Officer: so why you are here?
I´m here to make sure that won´t happen again (he take out his documments that said that he is no soldier now he is a german citizen)
The Officer was so impressed to hear that so he from that day he don´t put his armoured divison on an unnecessary risk and he became on of the participants of the Walkure Operation.
