*The next day*

I walked into Spanish class, Marko, Vincent, and Sarah were already there.

"Hey where were you? I didn't see you at lunch." [Marko]

"Yeah, because I wasn't really in the mood to get teased by our asshole friends."

"What the hell are you talking about, Tanner?" [Vincent]

"Oh, you know, just the fact that everyone's been calling me gay all day. God, it sucks. I don't know how you put up with it, Marko. And you had to hide that you actually were gay."

"Dude, that sucks. My day's just been getting better and better, though." [Marko]

"Woop dee doo."

"Okay, you're being an asshole, Tanner. What the fuck happened?" [Sarah]

"Well, in first period everyone called me gay, fag, things like that. It continued on through advisory and fourth, oh, and since I have PE right before lunch, I got to put up with people shoving their crotchs in my face and pressing them against my ass. But, I'm glad your day's been good, Marko. Just glad!"

"Man, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have-" [Marko]

"No, no. It's all good! Maybe this horrible torture will go on long enough until I get so used to it I actually become gay! Hey, then we can go out, Marko!"

"Look, I didn't know Kiari was gonna-"

"Neither did I! It's amazing what we have in common-"

"Shut up! You didn't have to live with hiding who you are for three fucking years, while having people acuse you of it! You don't know what it's like! To have to hide that you're gay for three years, hiding it from your friends and family, and then suddenly because some ass hole blows it up into a huge scene-"

"You're the one who kissed me! On the lips!"

"I couldn't help it! If you were in a position like that with Kiari you'd have done the same thing!"

"W-what does Kiari have to do with any of this?!"

"Oh, I know you've got a crush on her! Everyone can see it!"

"No I don't-" Wait... I suddenly looked around. Everyone was staring at us. We were making a scene, in the middle of the classroom. And it was dead silent. My entire face felt like it was on fire, I was blushing so bad. I sat down, and Marko did the same.

"Well, student's, I guess that'll get your brains all ready for conversation today." [Mr. Orohz] "Now, let's begin..."

About a minute later the class was roaring with spanish and english conversation. "Marko, look, I get that you did it, and sorta why, but... it didn't occur to you what you would be doing to me? You say you've got a crush on me, but you didn't think about that?" [Me]

"You know, Tanner. Not everything revolves around you."

Mr. Orohz walked by, "You two, my office, now." We got up and followed him into a back room. "Okay, what's going on?"

"Uh-... I don't really know how to explain it-" [Me]

"Really? Because the two of you seemed to understand the situation in perfect unison earlier."

"Well, we kinda got forced to play gay chicken-" [Marko]

"And he kissed me-" [Me]

"And he found out I was actually gay-"

"And he actually has a thing for me-"

"And it's been this huge weight off my shoulders-"

"But now everyone's calling me names like fag and cock-sucker-"

"And I kinda had a thing for him-"

"But I'm straight-"

"And he's got a thing for Kiari-"

"Which is still really irrelevant-"

"And I know he would've acted the same way if he were in a position like that with Kiari-"

"But I don't want something like that to happen-"

"You two realize you're finishing each other's sentences, right?" [Mr. Orohz.] Me and Marko glanced at eachother, "Yeah, that's what I thought. See now, I know you two are good friends, and you know it, too. So why does this matter? If you're gonna let a simple thing like this tear apart your friendship, then it's a wonder it survived this long in the first place."

"But you don't understand, because of him, my entire social life's been ruined!" [Me]

"And yet somehow in the process of ending yours, it seems to have saved his. Was it worth it? You said it yourself, you didn't want to risk being teased by your friends, so are they really your friends if you expect them to tease you?"

"Well-... I-"

"And you," He turned to Marko, "How could you just let this happen to him? His social life's been ruined and you just stand idly by, complaining about your now freed self. You have no reason to complain, you should be telling your friends not to tease him, and that he's straight, but no. You just stand there, in your own self-pity."

"But- Kiari-"

"Did, you want me... Orohz?" Kiari walked in, and noticed both me and Marko there.

"Yes I did. It seems your friends here have run into a bit of an issue, somehow involving you. Care to explain?"

She blushed, "Uh, heh heh. We were playing truth or dare, and I dared them to play gay chicken. I didn't know it'd get out of hand or anything. I'm sorry if it's disturbed your class."

She started to turn around, but Mr. Orohz stopped her. "I believe you owe these two an apology."

"Uh, sorry, guys."

"Now, go on back to class, all of you." We all walked out of the room, and Kiari smacked some guy over the head on her way out.

*The next day*

"Oh, hey! It's the fag that got away!" [Alan]

"I-" [Me]

"Guys, don't. It's bad enough that people he doesn't know are doing this to him, you don't need to add on to it." [Marko]

"See now, that's where you're wrong, because modern society has driven us to become monsters bent on hurting other people, so we won't function properly unless we expose Tanner of the fag that he is." [Derek]

"He isn't gay, he's a total homophobe!" [Kiari]

"Yeah, that's what Marko said, then we found out he actually was!" [Titus]

"I'm not gay!" [Me]

"Also what Marko said!" [Titus]

Marko walked up to Titus, "See, the difference between him and you, is you're just a self centered ass hole of a sociopath with no sense of empathy. He at least deserves to have respect, you just got it for being the strongest, which you aren't anymore."

Titus jumped up out of his seat, "You wanna go, fag?!"

"Guys..." [Kiari]

"Go? Tsk, I can take you down in one hit!" [Marko]

"Bullshit!" Titus suddenly swung a hard hook around Marko's neck, pulling him to the ground, and Marko jabbed him hard in the back. It must have hurt a lot, because Titus suddenly let go of Marko and fell to the ground, kind of writhing in pain. Marko just calmly sat back down and went back to eating.

"I don't believe it. Titus got his ass kicked by a gay guy! Go Marko!" Alan reached over and high fived Marko.

"Oh, it's nothing. I just gave him a quick jab to the lower spine." [Marko]

"Cheater!" [Titus]

"Eh, maybe I am, or maybe I was getting sick and fed up with your retarded shit."

"Okay, I don't mean to sound rude, mostly because I don't want to piss you off, but why the hell did he deserve that?" [Derek]

"He's protecting Tanner." [Alan]

"He's insane, is what he is!" [Titus]

"I'm the one with the straightened priorities, you're the crazy ones."

"Wait, isn't that like, one of the signs of insanity? Thinking you're the only sane one?" [Derek]

"Yeah, it is." [Kiari]

"I'm not crazy, and neither are you guys."

"But you just said-" [Me]

"I meant you don't have your priorities right. You'd really tease your best friends just because of something that happened to them?"

"Oh, you mean because you've got a huge crush on Tanner!" [Alan]

"Well that too, but still. Would you really do that?" The lunch bell went off.

*That night*

He held me downward, and pulled me in for a long, meaningful kiss...

The alarm went off, God damn, I need to stop having these dreams!
