#11 of Calling Cards

WARNING: All ye be warned. For you are about to enter a world of furries. Where there is male on male sex. And where anything could happen. Doodoo doodoo, Doodoo doodoo. You are about to enter, The Calling Cards! P.S, please comment, appreciate it.

The tables at Café Verde, one of the premiers lunch joints in Baltimore, where unusually empty. In fact, Verde Avenue, the street on which Café Verde resided was almost void of life. All of the furs who hung out near the café had gotten word that something was on the up and up and that it was time to get the hell out of Dodge. The only furs present at Café Verde were a Doberman, a Rottweiler and a gray mouse.

The canines were dressed in matching suits and expensive looking sunglasses. Their muscular bodies were hardly restrained in the tight fitting clothes and it looked as if the pants and jackets of the two hulking canines would tear apart at any moment. Side arms lined shoulder rigs which could be clearly seen through the tight fitting dress jackets. Also, each of them sported a semi automatic firearm in each paw. The canines stood on either side of the gray mouse, who resided calmly at one of the tables sipping away at a twenty ounce Mocha Praline latter. The mouse's whiskers twitched as he put down the cup and his upper lip dripped the chocolaty mess. A contented sigh escaped from his short muzzle as he glanced down at the five hundred dollar Disney wristwatch around his wrist and looked around the street slightly annoyed.

The mouse's stormy cloud gray eyes glinted with impatience as he tapped a footpaw on the concrete patio of Café Verde and sipped at the steaming milk and coffee concoction. It wasn't much later that a sleek black sedan limousine arrived at the café, as it came to a screeching halt. The driver's door opened and out stepped a smartly clad weasel in a suit that could have competed with the canines' apparel for most stereotypical mob garb. The weasel hurried around to the right side of the limo and wrenched open the door that nearly came off in the weasel's paw. A shiny sleek black dress shoe that was more dazzling than the vehicle stepped out of the limo, followed by its twin. The blue gray shark that was attached to the two shoes looked around nonchalantly and shrugged as he motioned for the weasel to follow him.

The mouse put on a neutral game face as the shark in the flannel buttoned down shirt and sweat pants walked up, with his no nonsense right paw weasel in tow. The dorsal fin, which stuck out through a slit in the flannel shirt, had been pierced with fifteen rings, all of different sizes. The shark had even more piercings covering his face, neck, arm, legs and other interesting body parts. In fact, the shark had more metal on him that skin.

And so it was that the shark jingled on up to the Café Verde patio, and nodded briefly to the gray mouse eyeing him with interest before the weasel pulled out a chair and the shark sat down. He lifted and set a briefcase on the table and the mouse's eyes flicked to it and back up to the shark's mischievous and malicious eyes.

"Mr. King," the mouse said in a neutral voice, as he recognized one of his two main rivals in the organized crime business.

"Mr. Koontz," the shark replied. "Or is it Mr. Steve? I've heard that you've taken to calling yourself that when you meet new people. Guess you don't want to put them off about your personal life, huh?"

Steven Koontz's eyebrows rose, if slightly, as he kept his voice at an even level as he responded to the flippant sharks reply. "What I decide to call myself matters little to me and not at all to you. I have called you here on account of business and I suggest that we drop the pleasantries so that we might be able to help each other out."

The smile that the Dean King had on his scaly snout vanished and so did the mirthful look in his eyes. "Very well." The shark leaned back in his chair, very careful to squish the pierced fin as he sat back. "You called me here because you have located the wolf Matthias Jennings." The shark's eyes lit up with excitement when he said the name. "Why would you go out of your way to help me?"

The mouse's muzzle quirked as his paws pressed together in a steeple. "I know that you've had your eye on that lupine for a very long time. In fact, my sourced have informed me that you were looking at recruiting the Hashtin Saido prodigy for one of your personal body guards."

The shark blinked as he tried to keep a straight face. Steven Koontz continued. "I can imagine your...shall we say dissatisfaction as someone comes along and attempts to off a potentially dangerous fur who would have become a useful member of your outfit. Even with his survival, the murders of his family and loved one have done a great mental distress upon the poor young lupine and now the wolf thinks he's some big shot thief."

The shark gazed impassively at the sharp mouse that sat across the table in the empty Café Verde. "So...," the shark muttered, "you said this was a matter of business concerning the young lupine's welfare. How exactly?"

Koontz smiled as he continued. "You know that I would not use such indirect means if I were targeting an opponent." The shark glanced up and fidgeted, his nerves setting up a screeching alarm as the mouse continued. "We both know who's truly responsible for the murder of the Jennings and the attempted murder of Matthias. We know who is ordering around Hawkins and his wanna be cronies. And this is what I propose; a mutual alliance."

The shark blinked at that and nearly belted out a harsh scaly laugh, but at seeing the mouse's serious set features, King instead replied with confusion. "I'm sorry?"

Koontz, the gray mouse, continued. "I propose that we join forces. Pool our resources towards a common enemy who is destroying the tradition of organized crime." The mouse slammed his paw on the glass patio table, and surprisingly the table cracked underneath the crime lord's impressive strength. "The Master is not passed involving innocent furs in his path of destruction. We both know that that is a bad way to do business. And so I say that we team up, get rid of the Master, Hawkins and his ilk, and we will be in control of the nation's crime, half and half."

The shark leaned forward as he gripped the table in his scaly paws. "And how do you propose that we get the drop on that bastard?" King spoke with a sharp as steel dangerous voice. "I've tried, several times. But he holes himself up in his god forsaken fortress and it's all but impossible to invade. The furs in his employ are all loyal to the death so we can't bribe one to stick a knife and the fucker's back. So how do you suggest eliminating the shitty fuck from the face of the planet, hmm?"

Mr. Steven Koontz only said one word. "Matthias."

"Ah." Was the sharks oh so verbose reply. His eyes lit up a second later and he sat up straight as if lighting had just struck his brain. "Ah." He said again. "You clever little mouse. The student surpassing the master, huh? Sending that fuck's own creation right back at him. I like. I like it a lot."

"I thought you might. And when all is said and done, and when the Master and his ilk are dead, we eliminate the wolf as well."

"Must we?" the shark replied. "He stole the Gibbran Idol from the Baltimore Museum of Natural History. He could be useful in the outfit."

"He is a wild card and therefore must be dealt with before he becomes a liability" the mouse said gravely, taking no satisfaction in having said it. "You know as well that blood calls for more blood. Someone who's close to the Master or his cronies will seek vengeance against the wolf, killing someone close to him. This will spur his rage to grow and more death and more death will be on our paws. And we both know that that would be bad for business. Therefore, to stop an escalation of carnage we must dispatch our young budding thief."

The shark nodded in approval. "You have a point. But we will cross that bridge when we come to it. For now let us join together and help our mutual acquaintance with his quest of vengeance."

Steven Koontz's eyes misted over as he gazed at the shark who stood up to leave, the faithful weasel ever on his tail. "Whatever happened to us, Dean?" the mouse asked, holding back a sob.

The shark turned his head and shrugged. "It's been a long time Steve. Some furs are just not meant to be together."

The mouse shook his head as the shark and weasel got into the limousine and sped off down the empty street. "We were..." the graying mouse said with a sigh, "inseparable. Until that bastard came along and split us apart. I...I miss you, my sharky."

Sam Tippins' heart nearly burst as he saw who he was donating his blood to. The brown lupine blinked and rubbed his eyes, hoping, praying that this was just a bad dream and that he would wake up snuggled next to his twin. There was no such luck. The white wolf that Sam and his twin Brian had ran into, the lupine of the singer's dreams was laying in a hospital ward, full of stitches. With a squeak of dismay, the brown furred wolf rushed over, nearly knocking the ursine doctor he had been following. The lupine fell to his knees with a painful thud, one paw on the injured wolf's arm as he checked him over. This was the same wolf. The one he couldn't stop thinking about. The one who was even more attractive than his twin.

Sam moaned out as he saw the white lupine writhe in pain, an expression of agony that briefly flickered across his muzzle before returning to a neutral state of unconscious.

The brown lupine flicked his head around as already his emerald hued eyes misted up. "What happened to him?" Sam sobbed out, nearly choking on his voice.

The bear shrugged as he eyes the crestfallen lupine kneeling before the white wolf in the gurney. "Supposedly he was testing a new line of body armor for one of Steven Koontz's companies, and the clay plating didn't hold out."

"And who the fuck is Stephen Koontz?" Sam asked, attempting to keep his voice level, but failed miserably while the wolf of his dreams continued to fade out of existence.

The doctor placed a large paw on the helpless singer's shoulder and shook his head. "At the moment, it doesn't matter. What does matter, however, is that we get you into that gurney," he nodded at the empty gurney next to the dying lupine, "and start the transfusion as soon as possible."

Sam meekly nodded and the ursine handed him a hospital gown to pull on. The doctor hurried off to prepare the blood transfusion as the wolf slipped out of clothes in record speed. As the coppery lithe lupine stood next to his anonymous wolf, stark naked, he couldn't help but glance down at the chart at the end of the bed.

"Multiple gunshot wounds, minor knife cuts, injected paralytic enzymes...Jesus Christ!" Sam exclaimed. "Who the hell are you?" he asked the unconscious wolf, knowing he would be unable to respond. The lupine glanced down at the chart again. "Matthias Jennings..." he looked back up at the peaceful visage of the fading lupine, repeating the name of his crush that he now knew. "Matthias..."

Moments later, a vixen nurse walked into the isolated room, face mask already in place as she silently motioned for the standing wolf to get into bed. Blushing, the wolf pulled the gown over his head, but not before the edged of the cloth gently brushed against his sheath, causing pleasurable sensations to run through his body. As he murred and hopped into bed, he recalled that he was never able to finish his last "work out" session due to his twin's bloody interruption. But it was thanks to his twin's unfortunate luck with knives that he was laying beside, and saving, the wolf he wanted to have as his own.

The vixen shaved off a part of the fur on Sam's arm and wiped it down with some foul smelling liquid. The wolf didn't have a chance to complain about the smell as he was ruthlessly jabbed with a needle, the luckily enough found his vein.

"Ow" Sam shouted out, more for the awareness of the vixen's carelessness than for the actual pain. The vixen gave him an apologetic look as she continued about her work. She threaded the hose that the needle was attached to through a stand and down into a hanging bag. She slipped a cinch off of the hose and handed Sam a red plushy orb. She gestured with her paw that he should squeeze it and he started to do that as he saw his blood start circulating through the hose and into the hanging plastic bag.

The vixen left and Sam was glad because underneath his gown he was sporting a growing length between his legs. He squeezed the red orb with his left paw as more blood flowed through the hose and took a quick glance over at Matthias beside him.

What Sam's left paw didn't know was what the right paw was doing. As he continued to pump the blood through the hose, the right paw, subconsciously slipped from the ground and traveled down his furry body. The brown lupine could feel the sensations of his right paw crawl down his prostate form, but was helpless to stop it; nor did he want to. And at last, with a lupine groan, the paw found its mark as it wrapped itself around the crimson cock that was peeking out of its sheath to say hi. The wolf gave it a couple of pumps as he continued to pump the ball and stare at the white lupine lying near him. Sam wished that Matthias would wake up, hop out of his bed and leap in with the pawing fur.

"He's probably not eve gay," said Sam's common sense spoke out. Sam agreed.

"To hell with that," Sam's libido declared. "Paw off and dream of him fucking your brains out. What he won't know won't hurt him." The brown wolf decided to go along with his libido and disregard reason as he started to pump his throbbing wolf meat in time with his pumping of the red ball in his left paw. Pre leaked down the sides of the crimson ten inch cock and helped to lube it up as he moaned and groaned and clamped his eyes shut, imagining what the whit wolf might do to him.

Matthias shot up from his bed as his heart jack hammered within his ribcage. He took a few seconds to figure out where he was. He realized he was in a hospital and tried his best to recall the events of the past day, but to no avail. He hurt. He hurt a lot. He glanced down to see a hose inserted to his arm and pumping gushes of blood into his system. His eyes traveled along the hose back to where it came from and noticed for the first time the vigorously pawing lupine laying near him. And the thief's jaw nearly dropped as he watched the brown lupine make paw love to his cock which was clearly defined through the flimsy gown. It was Sam Tippins. The white wolf blinked. THE Sam Tippins. The leader of the Twilite Band, his idol, was pawing off this close to him. Matthias got instantly hard, all seven inches of throbbing dripping wolfiness slipping out of his sheath and tenting his gown. His gaze was transfixed as he watched the brown lupine pump his cock and his red ball as blood continued to flow out of the oblivious lupine and into the thief. The wolf reached a paw underneath his gown to attend to the cock that begged for release as he deeply inhaled the delicious musk that Sam was exuding.

Matthias moaned and whimpered as his pawfur lightly brushed against the sensitive skin of his shaft. Though what he heard next blew him away.

The brown wolf, eyes tightly shut, panted out, "Oh..um... Matthias," the thief blinked when he heard his name called out by his idol. "Ohhh god Matthias, please...make me your bitch. Take me. Take me and fill me with your juices. Breed me...oh fucccccck."

If Matthias' cock could have been any harder, it would have as he heard his idol beg for his services. The thief grinned ear to ear as lust filled his mind and clouded his thoughts. The white lupine's eyes traveled towards the transfusion stand, as he is ears perked up to the sound of continually fapping. The nimble wolf, although in literal stitches, hopped out of bed and dragged the stand over towards the blissful Sam. Matthias grinned ear to ear as he inhaled the musk again, a much stronger and earth variety, and the white lupine's cock begged for release. And the thief was willing to oblige.

Shrugging off his gown, he hopped into the gurney with the madly pawing wolf, and the whole bed shook with the sudden added weight. And through all of that, Sam was still pawing away lost in his fantasy. At least he was, until he felt something hot, wet and amazing on his neck. The brown wolf wrenched open his piercing green eyes only to loose them into the brilliant golden ones that were less than a foot away. Sam let out a meek meep as the white lupine he had been pawing off to, had somehow managed to disrobe and find his way into his bed. Alleluia, Alleluia. What was more was that the white lupine was grinding his hard on into the brown wolf's gown covered shaft, seeping pre all over the hospital clothing. Sam moaned out, but such sound was muffled as Matthias covered his muzzle with his own, and the two lupines traded a breath as they held each other in an embrace. All the while, Sam's left paw never stopped pumping blood into Matthias.

The wolf took notice of this and widened his already toothy grin. "So, you are responsible for saving my life?

To Sam, the wolf's low throaty voice sounded like a choir of angels as he pressed his cloth covered cock up into the dripping thick shaft of the white wolf on top of him. He nodded as Matthias took him in another kiss, and Sam moaned out as swapped sweet saliva with the thief. A tongue pushed forward and Sam was willing to oblige as he opened his muzzle and accepted a deepening of the kiss. Moans and groans, murrs and meeps, sounds of sex filled the air like a horny rutting orchestra of male canids. The white wolf's paws traced over the lithe muscles of the singer's body as Sam's paws did the same, coming into contact with one of Matthias' new wounds.

The white lupine winced and broke the kiss as he licked the end of Sam's noise. "Then I suppose I should thank you for that. I owe you one." Matthias' threw the pinned wolf underneath him a wink and asked, "Know any way that I can make it up to you?"

Sam moaned out as he wrapped his paws around the wolf's neck and dragged him into a deep kiss. Matthias' paws, on the other...paw, had other ideas. Slyly, they made their way to the end of Sam's gown and traveled up the brown wolf's furry legs, making light furrows in the singer's fur with his claws. Finally, the white wolf paw came into contact with his goal and Sam moaned out loudly into the kiss as his orbs were fondled by his dream wolf. Matthias' pulled away from the kiss as a strand of saliva connected the two, and started nibbling and licking Sam's neck.

Sam groaned out and whimpered as he wrapped his legs around the wolf's waist, his gown falling back to reveal his entire lower section, his cock standing proudly in the air. He grinded his cock into Matthias' stomach, letting the weeping shaft coat the white' wolf's fur in preseed as he pleasured himself on the wolf's stomach. Sam's ass was grinding into Matthias' wolfhood, as the crimson shaft lubed up the cleft with a good amount of pre. The thief glanced into the jade eyes of the begging, pleading wolf beneath him. And he consented. A white furry paw guided Matthias' shaft towards the brown wolf's tailhole as he hiked up Sam to get a better angle. The tip of the crimson spire prodded against the muscles of Sam's pucker and the brown wolf shut his eyes, ready for the unbearable amount of pain that was soon to come. His left paw continued to pump the malleable ball as he prepped himself for being taken by such a hot wolf shaft.

The white lupine seized the brown wolf into an aggressive kiss, wrapping his tongue vigorously around the other as they moaned out in unison and Matthias pushed the tip of his cock past Sam's entrance. Sam whimpered out in pain and Matthias stopped pushing, but instead deepened the kiss as he started pawing off the brown wolf underneath him. Pleasurable sensations started rippling their way through the singer's body and overwhelmed the pain as Sam shivered in ecstasy. Matthias took it as a sign to continue and eased gently forward spreading the lustful wolf open inch by inch. Seven inches later found the white lupine nearly hilted inside of Sam. Only his knot remained on the outside as the silky warm moist depths of Sam's ass squeezed like a Chinese finger trap around the thief's thick and slick cock.

Matthias moaned out as the pressure increased and pumped his paw up and down the slick lupine dick that grinded into his abs. He broke his passionate kiss with his idol as he panted and moaned nuzzling the similar moaning wolf underneath. Both were hot and sweaty as they breathed heavily and attempted another kiss but failed as the licked at each other. Sam closed his eyes as wrapped his paws around the wolf's midriff, gently raking his claws across Matthias' back. The thief grinned and pulled almost all the way out of the writhing lupine beneath him, before slamming back in and striking the moaning wolf's prostate. Sam let out a yelp as a wave of frigid bliss rushed through his gut and he moaned out as he grinded against the wolf breeding him like a bitch in heat. Matthias, glad to oblige, and in much need of a quick fix, pulled out and pushed in again as the tight recesses of Sam's gut pulled and tugged at the sensitive skin of his bright red meat.

Matthias pawed at Sam's cock with his palm as he continued to thrust in and out like a piston, stretching the panting lupine beneath him and taking him for his own. Sam set up a moan and pumped his left paw even faster filling up the bags of blood the rest of the way and setting a loud beeeeeeeep sounding throughout the room. The beep caught Matthias by surprise and he slammed fully forward, knot and all, tying the wolf beneath him. The shrill shriek of the machine that guided Sam's blood into Matthias' veins irritated the rutting lupines', but Matthias couldn't help but continue to hump the knotted singer as he pawed at the hardened cock pressed to his stomach. Sam clenched down at the mass inside of him and Matthias nearly howled out in triumph as his floodgates opened and his lupine spooge surged through Sam's bowels. Pulse after angry pulse of cock sent another massive wave of seed into Sam's gut, filling him up to the brink and then some. When Matthias had calmed down just a tad bit, and his monstrous orgasm subsided, the two horny lupines embraced in another passionate kiss, even as the ursine doctor strolled through the door.

The doctor was reading his charts as he walked into the room and over to the machine. The grizzly pressed a couple of buttons and the irritating shriek stopped and he glanced at the filled bag of blood before nodding to himself.

"The nurse will be along in fifteen minutes to unhook you." The Grizzly left the two rutting furs without another look or a word and shut the door behind him. When the doctor left, Matthias pulled out with an audible splurt, and a burp of compressed air raced out of Sam's ass, followed by lupine cum. The thief took Sam's raging member into his maw, but no sooner had he started suckling than the singer shoved his meat fully into Matthias' muzzle and pressed his head down on it.

"And now it's my turn, wolfy" the brown lupine snickered as he wiggled his dripping sore ass. "After that amazing session, I believe you deserve a little doggy treat."

Sam thrust up into Matthias' maw and the thief was only to happy to swallow the cock and deep throat the ten inch crimson cock. Sam moaned out as he thrust in and out of the hungry lupine maw. "Oh yeah...just like that babe. You are doing great. You must be..a..mmm.oh god," Sam moaned as he gripped either side of his hospital bed, the squishy ball abandoned as it fell to the floor. "You must be a...mm..a...oh...oh...a natural..." Sam panted as Matthias bobbed up and down on the thick meat before him. Sam ruffled the white lupine's head fur and kneaded his thin ears as he thrust his hips up into the greedy hungry lupine maw suckling on his juicy meat.

Sam started panting, even as lupine juice leaked from his stretched tailhole, and shoved his mucky cock up into the maw of his dream wolf, making fantasy a reality as Matthias' tongue explored every vein, every patch of salty skin, savoring the flavor as he pleasure the lupine with his warm moist muzzle, his silky throat and his agile tantalizing tongue. Sam moaned and groaned and Matthias only sucked harder, determined to bring his idol to orgasm and down his wolfy seed. It didn't take long. A few moments later, after a bit of ball fondling, Sam shoved his cock in Matthias' throat one last time and unleashed a torrent of lupine cum that crashed down the thief's throat and into his stomach. All the while, Sam was panting and moaning as he pulsed in the white wolf's maw, groaning out as he unleashed his pent up load and fed the hungry injured lupine who was gobbling his cock.

Three minutes later the vixen walked in the room and glanced at the two furs who were asleep in their separate beds. The squeeze ball lay abandoned on the floor, and the smell of lupine musk and seed filled the room. She thought nothing of it as she pulled out the hoses, rather gently this time and bandaged up the two lupines' arms and walked away, leaving the two horny furs to rest and recharge after their somewhat intense sex session.

Sam begrudgingly opened his eyes and struggled to sit up in the hospital bed. He was weak after giving so much of his blood to Matthias and he took a few moments to register that he was in his bed and that his tail-was sore from the ass pounding he had received. He shifted in the bed and felt something leaking out of his pucker as he gazed to the empty gurney beside him. The wolf was caught in mid gasp as a voice interrupted from across the room.

"You know," Matthias said, as he sat with his legs crossed, "you look absolutely adorable when you first awake." The thief launched up from his chair and casually walked over, a glimmer of light in his eyes as his gaze swept over every curve of his idols body. "I don't believe we've been properly introduced. The name's Matthias." The thief extended a paw which the singer shook gingerly, feeling the soft warmth of his paw. "Matthias Jennings. Thank you for saving my life." Matthias bent down and placed a soft gentle kiss on Sam's head, drawing a heated blush from the brown lupine's fur. Matthias stood back up and winked one of his brightened golden eyes, a smile starting to form on his muzzle. Funnily enough, to Sam the smile seemed out of place, as though Matthias' was out of practice of smiling. Sam could only blush deeper as he caught the wolf's wink. "Unfortunately, I have a couple of priorities I need to take care of. But I hope to see you around, cutie." Matthias smiled again and Sam's heart nearly stopped and his chest thrummed and warmed up. The wolf walked out of the room, leaving Sam in a confusing daze.

Matthias walked into the lobby, and immediately spotted his friends, who happened to be the only ones present aside from the nurse who was clicking rapidly away at the front desk. The blue hyena, pierced many times over with earrings and studs any place imaginable, was on the phone talking in low whispers. Matthias limped up to them, still sore from the hot yiffing and the freezer struggle. When he got close, Sudsy hung up the phone and briefly glanced at the wolf before whispering something into Leon, the brown raccoon's ear. Leon glanced at the hyena and a worried from broke through his usually expressionless face. Matthias, as he finally arrived, asked innocently "Hey guy's what's up?"

Leon glared at the wolf and it was apparent that he had unleashed a torrent of tears, as his eyes were still brimming with the oily water. "What's up?" the raccoon repeated as he prodded the white furred lupine in the chest. "I'll tell you what's up. You got into a fight with one of the most dangerous assassins in the last few decades. You got injected with serious venom that was supposed to paralyze your body." The raccoon prodded harder and raised his voice as the hyena just watched in silence, letting the coon vent his anger. "Then you ‘somehow' miraculously attack the assassin and after taking enough lead to put down a rabid rhinoceros, you not only kill him, but you survive." Leon glared up at the wolf. His eyes were not angry, just upset. "You...you...almost died. You could've...could've died..." The coon's voice dropped to a whisper as fresh tears fell down his face. "Not again...I don't want anyone else to leave me. Nowhere to go, no one to turn to, I don't wanna be left alone again."

Matthias didn't understand to what the coon was referring, but he nonetheless opened up his paws and beckoned the sobbing coon into his embrace. "It's okay Leon. I'm not going anywhere."

"Hiccup...you mean it?" asked the coon glancing up into the lupine's golden eyes.

"I promise you. I will never abandon you." The wolf held the coon tight as he whispered, "Friends til the end."

"Friend's till the end" Leon repeated as he was comforted in the lupine embrace.

Sudsy looked on the two and smiled to himself. If only..., the hyena thought. What he said aloud was, "Well the good news is that I got off the phone with Shadow."

The lupine's ears perked up and he listened intently.

"He's a bit sore but he will pull through. However, someone seems to want you dead. Someone who happened to know where you where and thus knows about the subterranean hideout. While that in itself is unnerving, we have to move you out of the city."

"Out...of Baltimore?" the lupine asked as he felt his heart plummet to the ground. He had lived there his whole life since he was a pup. He remembered his home, how it always smelled of the delicious baked goods that his mother always baked. He remembered his church, where he learned about right and wrong, where he first met the first love of his life. The Boy Scout troop was here, the first place he ever got close with Daniel, and realized his sexual orientation. His school was here where he played and studied, where he fought and laughed. These were his memories...he couldn't just leave the life he had...

Or could he?

Besides from Mark Harrison, mostly everyone in the city thought he was dead. He could start over. He needed a fresh start. A chance to shed his ideals. To throw away his values. And he couldn't do that as long as he stayed here. As long as he was Matthias. The lupine glanced up at the techno wiz Sudsy Malone and nodded.

"Where to?" the lupine asked.

From around the lupine's waist, the coon shivered and whispered to no one but himself. "And from the smoldering ashes of despair and chaos, he shall unleash his rage upon his enemies, unleash his lust upon his friends and unleash confusion and chaos on all those that stand in the way of his revenge. Long live, Rathe...the thief."

Mark Harrison's feline jaw hurt when it figuratively crashed to the ground. "You're resigning?" the snow leopard asked as he stared at the Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations. "What? Why?"

The German Shepherd blinked and sighed as he rubbed his temples. "It's...it's complicated. There are things I have to take care of, furs that I have obligations to."

"What about your obligations to law? To do your duty in the service of the country and with valor extraordinaire?" Wasn't that the pledge you took?" Mark asked as he slammed his paw upon the table. "You can't just up and quit."

James Welles, the former head of the FBI smiled at the antics of his newest recruit. "There's something you need to learn real fast kid" the canine said as he took a manila folder out of his jacket and slid it across the table. "In fantasy land, where you've been you whole life, living ideally is nice and works just fine. However, in reality, in this shit infested pig sty of a world, sometimes you have to think outside of the box. Sometimes, the only way to do the right thing is to do the wrong thing. I know," the canine breathed heavily as he started for the door, "that you don't have a clue as to what I'm talking about. You've never been in a situation that has tested your ideals and what you believe about right and wrong. But there will come a day when you have to confront your own insecurity. When you have to make a tough choice that will break you no matter what you decide."

"A choice?" the snow leopard asked, confused as he lifted an eyebrow and placed a paw on the folder.

"It will be a simple choice, kid. At least it will seem simple. Between choosing what is right and choosing what is wrong. However, past the outside appearances, the choice is a hell of a lot more complicated than it seemed. I only hope when that day comes, you will follow your heart and not your brain." The canine's form disappeared outside the door before Welles' head popped back into view. "Oh and by the way," the Shepherd said, gesturing to the folder with a nod. "I'm the only one who knows the information in there. No one else does." And with that the canine, decorated for decades with medals in service of his country, for fights abroad and domestic, retired from his life of virtue, to take up training a certain schizophrenic squirrel in the fine art of revenge.

The snow leopard shook his head sadly, shocked that the canine would just leave all of a sudden. Mark opened up the folder and his heart nearly stopped beating. The feline would have thrown up, but there wasn't a receptacle near by. Instead he gripped the table with his claws as he read several times through the information. The feline made sure that he was reading the report on the case of the Gibbran Idol from the museum. Some amateur thief had stolen it not too long ago and was arrogant enough to leave a calling card and foolish enough to have left a print on the card. If Welles was the only who knew about this, and hadn't given word to any of the higher ups or the Baltimore local police, then that means that the canine was compromised.

The snow leopard immediately picked up a phone and dialed a Baltimore precinct.

"Baltimore Precinct, agency line" an androgynous voice grated over the phone. "How is it that we may be of service, Agent?"

The snow leopard glanced at the opened folder and sighed, as he hung up without talking. The feline slumped into his chair, and held his head as he felt a headache start to come on.

"Matthias," the feline whispered in a hoarse voice. "What happened to you?"

It was a bright sun shining day, when the Master stepped outside to greet the peaceful atmosphere. The fur breathed in and relaxed. He loved the nature that surrounded him. He found it much more enjoyable than the scum he surrounded himself with. His body was fresh and lively from a good night's sleep and he was living in the moment before a figure burst from the courtyard door.

A scarred one eyed otter, with a bad funk and even worse yellow teeth ran up to the relaxing fur. The Master never told Gabriel Hawkins this, but he found the otter extremely vexing. Even though it was the otter's capabilities that allowed him to progress with his plans, he despised the simple and maniacal nature of the otter. He had no other thoughts than total destruction. Which meant, to the aging schemer, that Gabe the otter was just one more loose end to tie up, when all was said and done.

"Master," Gabriel said in a rushed voice, "Robert's is dead. They found his body floating in a river. He had been impaled and froze to death."

The older fur laughed and stroked his whiskers thoughtfully.

"I thought as much. The Beagle was skilled and cunning, no doubt. But he was not match for the rage of the wolf."

Gabriel gaped, appalled. "What do you mean, you thought as much? You knew Norman Roberts would die? Why the hell would you send him?"

The Master glanced over at otter, whose anger was beginning to show.

"I wanted to awaken the dormant anger that lied buried inside of the wolf. I had hoped that killing his loved ones might have been enough but unfortunately it was not. However, he has found his inner beast, and that destructive force won't sit by quietly as the lupine mosies about. It will help us with our expansion, King and Koontz will be too distracted with the raging behemoth to focus all of their effort in stopping our takeover."

"But won't he come after us?" the otter asked, unnerved by the older fur's indifference towards the killer of the assassin beagle.

"Oh yes, I surmise he will. But that's why I have you. Of all of the furs that I've taught, you are the most proficient in Hashtin Saido. He might have talent for it, but not enough to be of a threat to you or our plans. We will dispose of him and any other loose ends that get in our way, and across the nation, crime will be united...under me." The Master smiled and twitched his nose. "But for the moment, it's time for this old rabbit to get some chow. Follow."

Gabriel Hawkins bowed and answered, "Yes, sir."

And so did the two furs, walk back inside the fortress named the Tempter's Web. The impenetrable fortress that houses many secrets, and many betrayals. In fact...it was in this such fortress, twenty years prior, that our story truly begins...

NOTE: To all whom it may concern, be not dismayed. Though the Calling Cards series is over, Rathe's story is far from it. In fact, plot wise, it is only a third of the way over. Calling Cards was only meant to show Matthias' past. The next series, which has yet to be named, will concern some of the events before Matthias' birth. A majority of the characters from this series will have a part in it at some point. The following part of the series is for plot and character development, but will have a great amount of yiff as well. And the final series of the story will have everything from the prologue of Calling Cards up to the final climactic showdown where everyone gets a piece of the action and everyone gets their fur. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed the first third of my super-series, (Has Yet To Be Named)
