#18 of Life In College

Like I said, jumping ahead to the senior year. I'll pull what I can from the rest of this, and I'll work through the two weeks mentioned in the story as much as I can. After this is done, I may or may not continued Thomas' story. We'll see.

Somewhere in my college years, I had somehow managed to hang onto a girl.

It had surprised me really, how fast my college life torn by. My freshman year felt like a million years ago, even though it had only been three. I was now only two weeks shy of graduation. But to be honest, I was scared shitless.

What was going to happen now? What was my plan after graduation? Was a still going to chase my dream of being a writer? Was I going to keep selling surfboards at the small shop on the beach?

And then there was everyone to think about. Anji, by best friend from childhood practically. I had grown up with that guy, going through high school and now college together. We had been there for each other for years and years now, kicking each others asses, although we had both gotten our own individual asses kicked as well.

My sophomore and junior years and flow by in a haze of school work, my job, and girls of course. Plenlty of different tail either stayed the night in my dorm, or left with satisfied smiles on their faces. A fair number of boys had left my dorm just as satisfied as well, but most of them had been girls. This was a steady stream that kept my spirits high during the school year. The constant stimulation of sex and pleasure had been good for me (and my guests) during the long and grueling school year.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I have a lot of sex. I bear no shame in saying it. Sure, to some furs I seemed like a tool, or a slut even. But I shrug it off, keep my chin up, and keep going. My life isn't easy by any circumstances, but again, the sex helps.

The work flow, both in school and at my job, also helped to keep my occupied. My job was either steady, dead, or busy. I would close the shop up some nights, hanging out with my friend Jess or my boss Tido, and someone would help me count surfboards, take inventory, that kind of thing. And the work I did in school helped me keep a focused mind on what I would be doing with life after I graduated from college. And like I said before, I was just two weeks shy of graduation. I had all of my major courses taken, all of my final, end-of-the-year exams would be in a week, and then that was it. I would have two more weeks until the actual graduation day, then It was done.

Now the girl I had managed to hang on to.

Her name was Relita Jones. I had meet her earlier in the year, and we had become easy friends. We exchanged numbers, but in the beginning, it was only so we could help each other study in the math class we shared together. I was no genius when it came to math, although Relita seemed to have a firm grasp on the entire subject. We had gotten to talking after class one day, and then become friends.

I called her Rel for short after a week of spending time with her. She had blushed at the nickname, but let me use to name anyways. It wasn't long before we spent day after day together, even if we weren't studying for math. She was a snow leopard, just a foot shorter than me. Her eyes were a bright green, and a series of black spots decorated her arms, legs, back and tail. The end of her tail was capped with black, and her hair was dyed the same color. Her original color was white, but she dyed her hair to match her spots. When I had first asked her about it, she had blushed and admitted that her real color was white.

"Do you like it?" she had asked me.

"Yeah," I had smiled, and nodded, "I think it's cute."

After spending three weeks with Rel, I realized that I'd fallen hard for her. She was cute, smart, had a sense of humor to rival my own, and liked me. I could tell by the way that her face lit up that she liked spending time with me. But it wasn't until a month before finals week that I realized I was in love with her. So when I felt like I had the right moment, I asked Rel if she felt the same way about me.

"Yes," had been her answer. I looked at her, then asked her,

"What?"

"Yes," she and repeated the word. "I do love you, Thomas. I think your smart, and cute, and charming."

Charming? Me? No, no way she was talking about me. What was charming about a twenty two year old opossum that had a talent for swimming, writing, reading, and trying to nail every piece of ass that gave him a smile? Nothing.

But Rel saw something in me. She was attracted to me, and I knew I was attracted to her. So when I asked her out that same day, she said yes.

After that, it was the same like all the other girls I had "dated" in high school. Rel and I hung out, went to the movies, studied together. She would come to my work every now and then, and when I came to her work, I'd bring her lunch if the occasion called for it. She ran a kiosk for a nearby movie theater a few blocks away from campus, and only one block away from the beach where my work was.

If we weren't visiting each other at work or studying together, we were either sleeping together in my dorm, or we were spending a bit of time apart. The first time Rel came to my dorm, she had wanted to have sex. She hadn't done it before, and was a virgin. (story of my life right there) but I had told her not to be nervous.

We took it slow, after a small mishap. Rel had taken to thinking that it was ridiculously hard to open a condom, and had pulled the rubber nearly in two when I pulled the wrapped protection from my wallet. I had put a paw over my face, giggling to myself, and Rel's bright white cheeks picked up a fiery red blush. But then I pulled a condom from my jeans pocket, and opened this one myself. Then the two of us did the deed, gong slow at first, but I untimely speed up at Rel's request. My climax was ever satisfying, and I moaned when I felt my waves of warm cum fill the condom. After I cleaned up my contained mess, I got into bed with Rel, and we slept until morning.

"But now, looking back at all of that, It feels like so long ago," I spoke aloud now, pulling myself out of my thoughts.

"I get where your coming from," Anji pipped up now. The wolf had gotten taller over the course of almost three years, and I had even managed to pick up a few inches. But Anji was still inevitably taller than I was.

"You know what I'm talking about then?" I asked him now. I heard a nearby crackling sound, but only looked at the E-cigarette in my paw. The fat silver chrome tub was popping, and small trickles of smoke came out of the air holes on the side.

"Yeah, I get you," Anji nodded. I put the tip of the E-cigarette in my mouth, nodding as I pulled in the smoke. "You don't know what the plan is, now that school almost done. Like, forever too. In a few weeks, this will all be done."

"Mmm," I nodded, taking the E-cigarette from the corner of my mouth. I opened my mouth, then blew out a large, white cloud of smoke. A wind came by to pull the cloud away, but for a split second, I was able to smile to myself. Sometimes being a "cloud chaser" was as easy as it looked. "I just don't know what to do," I said.

"What do you want to do?" Anji held up a paw now, and looked at me. The wolf's black hair was cut short, and his steady yellow eyes glanced at me.

"I still want to write," I said, "I've always wanted to do that, ever since I was young."

"Then go write," Anji tossed his paw through the air now, "I''ve read some of your stuff, It's golden. You get that sent in to a small publishing company, somebody local, and they couldn't say no to you."

"They can always say no," I pointed out. I smiled now, and put the tip of my E-cigarette to my lips.

"But they could say yes too," Anji countered. "They might decided your stuff is fucking amazing, like God shit out a golden book.

I spit out a laugh now, and Anji snickered with me. The two of us were sitting on the football bleachers, with a warm California air blowing past us. It was around 11:35, or maybe it was more towards midnight now. Well regardless, Anji and been coaching me through my after-college plans. And even after thinking about this since my senior year in high school, I was still stumped on what to do.

"I'll be a writer for now," I air quoted the word writer with my free paw, "And if that doesn't work out, I'll go from there."

"Sounds good man," Anji nodded, smiling.

"What are you going to do?" I asked the wolf.

"Work with dad on his boat," Anji replied.

"Ah, " I nodded.

"He said he didn't want to me come with him this year, sailing all the way to the coast of Florida. But I told him I didn't want to sit around with mom and the other kids, so he said I could come as long as I pulled my weight," Anji continued.

"Sounds," I paused to blow a cloud of smoke into the warm air, "good to me," I finished.

"I'm hopeful," Anji said.

"Well if your hopeful, then I can't sit around and mop now can I?" I asked. Anji looked at me, smirking now.

"No way Thomas," the wolf said. He looked back ahead of him, then said, "I'll be dammed if you get this far and fail now."

That made me smile. I put my E-cigarette in my lap, and rested my arms over my knees. "Thanks Anji," I said.

The moon was in the sky. I saw it now, hanging over the football field. There were a few stars out, and I watched the sky. But still, it was hard to think that in just two weeks, all of this would be over for ever.
