Chapter 5: Introduction (1/1) ~ Episode 13: The Unthinkable

George waited patiently outside the office, tapping his foot on the floor and feeling really uncomfortable. His suit was a bit too tight, thanks to all the fat Nick helped him gain... this made him feel even more sick inside, like he wanted to throw up. He sighed deeply, resting his head upon his paws, sniffing, "please be okay...please be okay...please be okay..."

Eventually his number was spoken through the lobby's speakers, "Number- 15- please step up into- Cole- 's office."

He read his ticket. He was indeed #15. He sighed deeply, setting the ticket into his pocket and walking inside the officer's room. He saw a white rabbit sitting at a desk, wearing the classic blue police man uniform and hat, he stopped writing his document, setting down his pen and sliding away the paper, he cleared his throat, "George Watterson."

"That's me." George said rather softly, still terrified by everything that'd happened in the past he could barely talk because of his sobbing. He sat down in front of the officer, awkwardly, having a rather stiff position.

The officer cleared his throat once more, "Excuse me...sorry..." at that point it was quiet for a while, until the rabbit spoke up once again, "So, what do you want to hear about first? I'm sure you have many questions, and hopefully I'll have the answers." he held his paws together onto the table.

"What happened to the guy who shot him?" George asked, somewhat anxious to know.

The officer nodded his head, "They took him in. Sentenced to prison. Don't worry, he won't hurt anyone or any of your friends again."

"Thank goodness..." George was relieved. He didn't care much for what happened to the sniper (except for the fact he was hoping he'd die a slow and painful death), he cared more about when Nick would get out of the hospital. He then remembered the fact he never found out why the sniper did it. He asked, "Why did he do it in the first place?"

"We aren't too sure." he shrugged, "But we did find some evidence to this question after we searched him. He was carrying a bunch of notes related to one of your friends, Connor Crook."

George looked at the officer in shock, "Excuse me?"

The rabbit nodded his head, "It's true, I'm afraid. We're taking in your friend for questioning as soon as we're done with you."

"WHAT?" George panicked.

"Calm down!" the officer held his paws out to caution the panda, "We have this under control!"

George grunted, "Connor couldn't have done it! Let me see the evidence! I want to see it!" he demanded, backing down softly and losing aggression as he realized he was acting this way to a police officer.

The officer sighed, "You can see it after we talk with him." he said rather solidly and straight forward, "Now, if you don't have anymore questions, get out."

"What happened to Nick?" he said suddenly, sweating a bit, "When will he get out?"

"He'll be alright. We just need some time."

He left the station as he was given the evidence by the officer. He was allowed to take them home with him. He started to drive home, "What the hell is happening to us?" As soon as he got home, he was going to search this evidence. He was absolutely afraid of what he was going to see.
