A commission for Rodent http://www.furaffinity.net/user/prowler7 I had fun doing this one. and there are more to come ^_^

A soft wind blows through the hills, taking the dainty little fluffs from the dandelions on a weightless journey. Down through the fields they dance till they reach the den of a sleeping Coyote named Tannis. Gently the dancing seeds tickle the tips of his ears. Grumbling Tannis flickers his ears and tries to brush away what is causing the discomfort. The wind gently blows again causing more of the seeds to swirl in and cluster around his fur. As the air begins to settle down a single seed lands on the tip of his nose. When Tannis breathes in the seed is sucked in which causes Tannis to jump up and sneeze, sending the light fluffs flying away from him.

Rubbing the long sleep from his weary eyes, he stumbles out of his den into the cool spring morning light. Tannis takes a deep breath in, enjoying the smell of the recently bloomed dew covered flowers and the still damp glistening green blades of over grown grass. As he stretches out, his paw brushes up against a familiar diamond shaped object. He looks over to what his paw is touching and it is a small purple kite. The young Coyote stretches his arm out to grasp it in his paw, as he pulls it up to his torso to examine it closer, suddenly yet softly a cool crisp wind blows through his fur beckoning him with a soft sweet scent.

He follows the smell through the tall crisp grass, down past a lively bubbling creek and through a field of sunflowers that tower greatly above him. Yet the smell did not come from the giants, still clutching the kite in his paw he travels further until he reaches a hill covered by countless array of sweet smelling and beautiful flowers. Tannis seeing this decided to climb to the top of the hill to lay down in the blanket of petals and aromatic smells.

As he relaxes amongst the colorful bed of flowers around and under him, a subtle gust of wind lifted up the delicate kite into the blue sky overhead, swaying gently on the string that is in the coyote's paw. Laying there he relaxes with each deep breath of the sweet aroma, as ray of light shine through the clouds warming up his fur. Tannis stares up to the clouds and wishes he could float freely as they do. As he makes this wish he closes his eyes and as he feels through the grass and the flowers around him with his free paw, he starts to feel as if he was becoming lighter.

Even feeling this he worries not of it, for the sweet scent that has been blanketing all around him in a soothing embrace, has relaxed him to a point where he doesn't even question this new, strange and floaty sensation. Rays of light break through the softy fluffy clouds above and shine down onto Tannis, as the rays shine upon him he feels as if his body is starting to lift off the ground. He stretches his paw out again to feel the grass and flowers near him, though as he does this he feels as if his paw is passing through something lightly. He begins to wonder what is going on, but shortly shrugs the worry off since he feels very relaxed still.

Now his paws are now becoming more and more air like and it is now spreading to his feet and his arms. As his body becomes less solid the kite string slips right through his paw. Noticing this Tannis looks over to the paw that once held the kite string and he sees that his fingers are fading away into white fluffy cold puffs. Tannis then looks around at the rest of his body that is starting to float away like steam off of a cup of tea in the cold of the night, starting with his fur slowly yet smoothly turning white.

He then looks over his shoulder and realizes he is far off the ground now. He starts to wag his tail enjoying this sensation of being far off the ground floating higher and higher to the clouds above. Now most of his body has become fluffy and white floating up with the clouds, the coyote closes his eyes and lets the winds take him on a journey. Smiling ever happy of what is happening, when he opens his eyes to watch the ground pass by under him he sees his kite fly past him, on its journey across the land into the great distance over the horizon.
