The Birth Of A Dragon Talker-Chapter One-Destruction.
Chapter 1I ran, it was the only thing I could do. I didn't even
bother looking back I knew everyone was dead. I could smell, I felt the heat on
my back. I was scared, but I kept running I didn't want to die. The heat was
immense I was sweating. My foot caught something and I tumbled down into a
small crater. I didn't know what was happening so I curled up into a little
ball and started breathing deeply and slowly I began to recall the events of
the day.I woke up in the morning to the birds singing. I was really
happy (I was going to ask my crush out today) I pushes the covers off my body
and stretched today was going to be a hard day, It was my turn to scout the
perimeter of the stronghold. We had found many scorched remains in the forest
so we can make sure no one is planning an attack. On that note I swung my legs
out of the bed and sat up. I rubbed my eyes to get the sleep out of them and
stood up. I grabbed my shirt of the mirror as I held it in my hands I got a
good look at myself. I am a male who is white and Human I have brown hair and
greenish grey eyes and I am of an average build with a four pack. Slowly I put
my white shirt over my head and searched the floor of my room for my trousers
when I finally found them under a my jacket I put them on, I proceeded to put
my socks and shoes on, then I put my jacket on. As soon as I had combed my hair
I went downstairs and left the house.I was greeted by a crazy man as I left telling me the
dragons are coming. I just laughed and pushed him away "We are well armed enough to handle any dragon "I saidPushing him away. I continued to walk down the street
pushing through the crowd attempting to reach my destination. The mage tower as
I got nearer the crowd became denser. I had to pick up my enchanted sword and bow
from the mages so I could go scouting. Slowly I pushed through the crowd
getting frowned at by the people I pushed by"I'm on scout duty let me through! "I screamed out Slowly a thin path
appeared for me as I walked through chest held high. The mages greeted me and
invited me inside."You come at a time of great need "Said the mage known as
Fogg'kl"More burned remains have been found, these a few months
old" Said Ridx'efAs I picked up my bow and sword out of the weapon rack .Just
as I was putting my sword in its sheathe the two doors we entered through
opened to reveal the Arch Mage Dragon Talker, Gryphon I fell to my knees as did
the rest of the mages "Rise Lukas, We have much to talk about" He said to me"M-M-M-Me? " I stuttered out."Well of course "He said with a smiled I stood up and followed him."You are on scout duty correct? "He asked me whilst walking
through another set of doors."Correct" I said trying to keep my fear bottled up."Remember one thing "He said stopping suddenly and turning around"A dragon can only choose one human to speak to in its
lifetime even as a baby it knows that it is rare for a dragon to choose a human
at a young age" "Interesting sir" I replied wondering why he needed to tell
me"Also remember one thing; one survivor of a civilization is
more than the whole civilization dead."I nodded"Now go do your watch duty"As I left the tower I saw that the crowd had thinned out and
I managed to walk through without Much trouble. After a 20 minute walk I was at the gates I sighed
as I went to talk to the dwarf known as Digger in English."Hey Digger, May you open the gates for me I'm on scout duty
""Again? "He asked raising his brow"Yup"I replied with a chuckle He shrugged and pressed some buttons pulled a lever and the colossal
iron door slowly began to open. I stepped out and began to walk forward towards
the forest hand on the hilt of my sword. After a few hours of searching I found
what I was not expecting I found year old dragon eggs and scorch marks on the trees.
I ran as fast as my legs could carry me to the gate, when I got there it was
too late it was knocked down I ignored it and ran inside everything was on fire
I tried to doge the corpses as I ran towards the mage tower as I got near the
bottom I saw about 7 dragons fighting it out with the Arch Mage Dragon Talker
he looked at me from above and slammed his staff to the ground "Remember what I said. "He screamed outThe dragons had a new target, Me, I ran down the street as a
dragon blocked my escape I looked to my left and saw my house I decided to run
inside and upstairs, Then I leaped from my window over the dragon and I kept
running as tears rolled down my cheeks I fell to my knees and slid under
another dragon then I stood up and kept running as I was in front of the gates I
heard a dragon puff behind me and I jumped over the remains of the gates as I felt
the heat behind my back. I ran it was the only thing I could do...I woke up to something wet touching my hand, When I opened
my eyes I found it was a dragons nose.The dragon about my height. I was not scared I had lost
everything"Hello" I said sadly"Hello "said the Dragon in a feminine sounding voiceI screamed and attempted to stand up but my exhausted legs refused."Di-Di-Did Yo-You Jus-Just Ta-""Yes, Yes I did "it interrupted "Are you a girl?""Yes I am "she said"Why did you choose me to talk to?""The Arch Mage Dragon Talker punished my parents and my parents
punished your village we are all that's left."I looked into the red dragons glistening golden eyes and for
once I felt sympathy for these amazing creatures. I put my arms around her neck
and pulled her down so she was lying next to me and her face was in front of my
face. The shock on her face was funny"Don't worry I won't hurt you"I said putting my arms around her and running my hand down
her back"You're warm" I saidHer red scales turned a brighter shade of red as her tongue
licked my face. I put my hand on her cheek and kissed her"Well, never thought I would have ever kissed a dragon "I
said"I never thought I'd kiss a human "She said wrapping her
tail around my leg"Let's stick together from now on?" I said questioningly "Yes we should" She repliedShe wrapped her tail around my leg as I wrapped my arms
around her body; I think I am in love and on that thought I fell asleep with
her body next to myn.
