Honestly, I find Umbreon Quest a stupid title lol, so I'm only putting chapter numbers only.

I do not own Pokemon, the character Shadow belongs to Alex Kitsune.

Tomi the shiny Flareon was getting ahead of us. Not stoping, trotting down path with us following. "Hey Tomi, could you slow down?" Keltorie asked, walking beside Garomun. "You fall behind, you stay behind Jolteon." He said to her, and carried on.

"It's Keltorie." She then said in annoyance, but he didn't respond.

We hiked for about almost an hour, the sun was soon disappearing, with the night soon to replace the sky. Moments passed as we continued, the ground was becoming damp, moss on rocks became apparent, and puddles of murky water were seen. The color of the grass were milky lime green, the puddles became bigger as we pressed on. Mangroves were seen, the ground was now soggy.

I stayed at the back, walking into the moonlight and exposed myself into its ray. Shining bright on me, the moonlight rejuvenated my wearied body.

A wearied spirit however, is a different case.

"Hey Tomi, you do know where you're going right?" Arch asked, catching up to him. He paused and replied, "Yeah, I overheard those guys saying a base in the swamps about 6 kilometers from where we were imprisoned."

"So can you tell me about your Glaceon sister?" Garomun then asked the shiny Flareon. He made a small annoyed grunt and said, "I got nothing to say about her, and she's not my sister."

"Tomi, will you lighten up, for our new friends?" Arch said to him. "They are not my friends." Tomi answered. Amadea, Keltorie, Garomun and I just looked at each other, unsure of how to respond.

Blue Ring went up to him and told him, "Tomi, this is not going to work if you keep this up."

"Look, you are lucky enough I'm joining you guys, and we don't have time for this Shadow." Tomi replied and carried on. "What did he mean, not his sister?" Keltorie asked Arch. "We're not really siblings." He replied and Shadow shook his head, agreeing with what the Leafeon said.

"What?" Garomun said, a little surprised. "Yeah, we ain't real bros, but are we are closer than that right Shada?" Arch said, turning to Blue Ring, and he made a small nod. We all pressed on, walking behind Tomi.

The shiny Flareon then stopped, stayed silent for a while and asked us while still facing forward, "Your family, taken from you guys right?". "Yeah, Tomi that's right." Amadea answered. This kinda hinted me that he cared, even if its a little. "Come on, we gotta pick up the pace." Tomi said. Thus, we all moved faster through the murky swamps.

Pushing further in through the swamps. We were ankle deep in water, "Shhh, stop guys, you hear that?" Blue Ring whispered to us. We all stop to listen, and it wasn't long till we heard indistinct noises. Voices, humans and pokemons, and engines running "Take it quiet and slow." I said to the rest. We all got down, sneaking while trying to be silent through the water.

We all hid in a large bush, Keltorie poked her head through the other side, "Whoa." was all she said. Poking my head through as well, I saw a massive complex, it was big, buildings reaching up to four floors, cargo containers at the back, and rows of vehicles at the front.

"This is twice as big as that outpost we were in. My family better be in there." Garomun quietly said. "I'm guessing other pokemons are in that those buildings." I said to him. "Geez, look at all those guys, Houndooms, Liepards, Sableyes and more, they all look mean and scary." Arch said.

"So any ideas?" Amadea asked. "I will distract them, draw all of their attention, you guys go around get all of them out. And I will find you guys." Tomi replied. Blue Ring and I looked at each other, a little unsure of this plan.

"You outta your mind Tomi? You're gonna take on all of them?" Arch asked with concern. "Don't worry, I can handle it. You just worry about your own rear, huh?" He said in a bit of annoyance to the Leafeon.

Tomi then made his way to the front. The rest of us sneaked our way in closer around the complex. "Uh wait, how will we know when his distractions comes in and its time to get in?" Keltorie asked and it stopped us in our tracks.

Suddenly, large, fiery explosions came from the front the complex, And shouts and yells from the humans and Pokemons of Team Ater followed. "I guess that's our cue to get in, come on let's go!" I said to the rest and charged into the complex from the side away from the battle Tomi is creating at the front.

Flames were shot into the sky, lighting up the night. Vehicles were burning and blowing up. Fumes of smoke drifted above. We dashed towards the fence, Arch ran ahead and performed a leaf blade, the leaf on his head glowed and formed into a long blade, his slashed the fence wide open.

"Let's go, into that building." Shadow said as we all ran into the backdoor of the building, sounds of flames bursting were still heard. Had to appreciate Tomi's distraction, way easier as compared to sneaking in like last time.

We climbed the stairs, we searched in every room. "Where are you?!" Garomun exclaimed. Shadow, Arch and I hurried through the corridor in the third floor, while Amadea, Keltorie, Garomun were still searching in the second floor. With a door blocking our path though the corridor, I leaped and charged right through.

Only to find, a rather small herd of pokemons, Voltorbs, Bulbasaurs, Sandshrews and several other kinds, with a female Glaceon in the front of them, and behind her was an older shiny female Vaporean and an older male Leafeon, and a pair of older Espeons..

I looked at the Glaceon, my jaw slowly lowered, eyes blinking. I stammered, "Mom?"

"Everyone stay behind me. I won't let them hurt you." She growled and made an aggressive stance, she opened her mouth and a light blue orb forms, a light blue beam came out of the orb and was fired at me.

I just looked at it with widened eyes as it hit me, sent me flying about five meters from where I stood. My whole body's gone numb, it was so very cold. I staggered and stood up. I looked at the Glaceon and her eyes turned to Shadow.

"Lencita!" Arch called out to her. The Leafeon stood in her way, the Glaceon looked at him, unsure if he was friend or foe. "It's me. It's Arch." He said to her. She looked at his whole figure and slowly replied, "Arch? You- you're here?"

"Yeah, it's me sista, and Shadow's here." He paused, turned to Shadow. She looked Blue Ring, surprised to see him as an Umbreon. Then Arch looked at the rest of the pokemons behind her. "What? Leading the great escape eh?" He said. "All those dark pokemons and guards left, we took the opportunity." She answered, explosions were still being made from outside by our Shiny Flareon.

"I'm sorry but who the heck is this guy?" The older Leafeon from behind her said. The rest of the pokemons behind were looking at them in confusion and looking at me and Blue Ring in slight fear.

Then Garomun, Keltorie and Amadea came up from the previous floor, as soon as the Flareon saw the older Leafeon and Shiny Vaporeon, he shouted "Dad! Mom!"

"Garomun?" They said, looking at their son, seeing him as a new Flareon for the first time. "My son?" His father said to him. "Yeah , yeah its me, now we gotta get you all outta here." Garomun said to all of them. Amadea then came forward, "Mom, dad, its me." She said, turning her direction to the Espeon couple. Before they could say anything, she spoke to them, "It's me yes. There's no time let's go now."

"Wait where's Fallon?" Arch asked. "Get them all out first then we'll get him."Lencita replied.

"Everybody out now!" Keltorie yelled to the entire pokemons, gesturing them to go down the stairs. The entire pokemon herd just scampered through the corridor, with our eeveelution group leading the exodus, with Blue Ring and I at the back. However, at the corner of my eye, I saw Shadow went further in. I turned around, going to get him.

"Shadow!" I called him, but no reply. "Shadow! Where are you going?!" Still no answer. Shadow went further in looking through all the rooms. He then stopped. "Shadow! What are you doing! We gotta go!" Finally getting his attention. He just looked left and right, then stammered, "Let's go. Let's go."

The massive blaze and explosions made by Tomi didn't stop. Humans crying out in panic, sounds of dark powers delivered from Team Ater pokemons were heard. The captured Pokemons rushed through the backdoor, with Arch leading them to the entrance he made, "Get to the end of the swamps, I'll meet you there, I gotta help my friends to find their friends, don't argue just go." Garomun told his parents, so did Amadea to hers as they got the severed fence Arch made. They were reluctant, but finally did what their child told them.

All the captured pokemons escaped and made their way for safety.

"Everyone's out now?" Arch asked. "No not yet, the cargo containers. Cmon." The Glaceon said as the pokemon, a Geodude left the complex. Shadow and I got out of the back door, o see our eeveelution group heading towards the cargo containers hurriedly, "Fallon's gotta be in there then." I said to Shadow.

As we caught up with the rest, we were very close to those containers. Then, all the explosions at the front of the complex were ceased by the sound of a large, brutal physical blow. With the sound of Tomi yelling, Blue Ring and I turned our heads to see Tomi flying, shooting at top speed past us. As Lencita turned to see, he crashed into her. Both Glaceon and Shiny Flareon tumbled and rolled with grunts of pain, rolling and smashing through the cargo container door open.

We all got in to see Lencita on top of Tomi, both hurt bad. "Get your paw off my ear!" He growled. She rolled over of him, and stood up, followed by Tomi. They both looked at each other, not sharing any conversation. "Lencita?" A voice came from the darkness further in the container, and they were whimpers too.

I used flash to light up the place, only to see a few other pokemons, Zigzagoon, a Zangoose and a Jolteon, which had to be Fallon. But they looked very different, the Zigzagoon's entire body is now black, the Zangoose's face and hands were black, and the Jolteon's yellow and white spikes now black, as well as his ears and legs. They all had their legs chained up, all tied to one device attached to the wall of the container glowing in red. There were a few patches of blood on the walls.

"Fallon." Lencita said and walked up to him and made a small rub against his cheek with hers. Tomi rudely shoved her off much to her annoyance, his mouth became covered in red-orange fire and with a chomp, he broke Fallon's chain, and then the other pokemons.

"Get out now!" He shouted. Fallon slowly stood up and said, "Tomi, Arch? And who are thes-"

"Shut up! We gotta go now!" Tomi said frantically.

Then there was loud roar from the distance, the same roar we heard from the cave, but way louder. The freed Zigzagoon and Zangoose were about to leave but Tomi stopped them. "No! Its too late! Stay inside!" He shouted again.

"Get off me!" The Zigzagoon yelled and they ran out, the ground started to rumble. And another roar was heard, I tried to go after them to save them, but the shiny Flareon stopped me as well. "No! We can't help them, Arch close the doors! Now!" He shouted to Arch. Seeing Tomi's eyes, he was tense, afraid.

The Leafeon used his vines and hooked on to the container doors and pulled them to close them. "What are you doing, we got to help them." I protested. The ground shook harder, and another roar. Then there were screams, the sounds of crunches, and then, silence.

Something big, massive and murderous was outside. "Shhh" Tomi quietly shushed us. My rings glowed dimmer, everyone looked at me.

A million thoughts ran through my mind. What was that thing outside? What happened to this Jolteon with black spikes? What about Amadea and Garomun's parents? Did that thing leave?

Then a loud deafening roar came, everything shook, a jolting impact rocked the container, we were knocked flat on the floor of the container. We all staggered and tried to stand. "What is that thing?!" Keltorie screamed. The whole container was then lifted up, we all tripped and fell. We were jerked to the side, we all slid to one end. We were pilled up on top of one another.

And the container was thrown into the air. We were all launched into the air, yelling in fright. Tossed all over in the container. The cargo container finally came crashing down on to the ground in the swamps with a hard splash.

With a bit of blood in my mouth, opened my eyes to see Amadea landed on top of me, I looked around, Tomi on top of Garomun, Fallon, Lencita, Keltorie and Arch all pilled at the other corner now. The same loud roar came from the distance, and the ground was shaking again. All groggy and disorientated, we struggled to stand again. One of the door was opened ajar, I peeked through and finally saw our monster.

It was a Steelix, but bigger, much bigger and very different. A normal Steelix would be about nine meters, this thing was fifteen meters long, its row of rocks which comprises of its body were larger. Its eyes were glowing green, rows of huge teeth were in both of its jaws. And it was black in color, with black spikes.

The Steelix roared, and charged at us. It banged its head against the entrance, denting the doors. It then moved to the side, there was a metallic scraping noise so shrilling as its spikes raked the sides. My heart was pounding, the Steelix banged down on the side, again, and again, denting the metal.

I looked around to see our eeveelution group, Lencita ice beamed the walls, trying to reinforce it. Amadea and Keltorie crouched down together, Shadow's rings were glowing red, the rest of us faced flat on the ground, bracing for impact after impact.

The metal roof, dented downwards, the ice walls Lencita created shattered on us. The Steelix was slamming its tail on the roof, bringing the roof down on us. Then there squeals of metal against teeth, the Steelix's rows of teeth pierced through the roof, the roof started to glow yellow.

"Get away from there now!" Fallon shouted. Arch, Lencita, Amadea and Keltorie jumped towards Fallon, to the doors of the cotainers. Tomi, Garomun, Shadow and I jumped to the other end.

The Steelix fired a dragon breath, the yellow beam, blasted down through the roof, and through the floor of the cargo container, into the swampy dirt. The beam then changed into black, and back to yellow, and black. The heat from it was unbearable, like i was melting. The beam stopped, seperated by the dragon breath, I only saw the others on the other side of the cargo container for a second before the Steelix slammed his head into the opening, roaring, Its beastly eyes staring at us.

Shadow's paws grew red glowing claws, he pounced on the side of the Steelix's face. He stared into the Steelix's eye, Shadow's eyes glowed red. The Steelix's eyes looked in all directions, as if confused. It lifted its head out the cargo container, Shadow lost his grip and fell. He quickly got up and yelled "It's confused now, run!"

We all got up and ran out of the cargo container, Fallon in front, leading us away from the monster. "Come on, don't stop. Run!" He said. I looked back to the see the giant Steelix, roaring, looking in all directions and chomping its jaws. I turned and run along with the rest, away from the confused Steelix.

But it won't stay confused for long.
