#4 of To Save a Galaxy

4th Part in the series. In which we take a small detour to another character in my series.

*Readers who have started reading this series from the beginning to the end should note that this is not a chapter dedicated to our crazy hero Evans , but rather, on a far far away planet in the milky way.* *It should also be noted that I'm sorry for the long wait.*

A spaceship zoomed past the asteroid belt of alpha Hydri , with all it's retrograde engines on full throttle. It was heading towards the planet of Mys IXV, a recently colonized, but now a desolate planet, abandoned because of strange and frightening happenings in the planets.

As it was now abandoned , many would go to study the planet's archaeological remains and uncover facts and mysteries, but this explorer, was intent on doing something else. Something, much darker_and _sinister.

As our explorer got closer to the planet, one could see the aurora of mystery and the slight fright it gave to any new comers to the system. The thin aurora like atmosphere of the planet was illuminated by a gigantic red star blooming with light and voices of destruction from behind.

The planet was scarred with many crevices and caves, and the red glow casted on the planet made it seem even more frightening and odd.

But, for evil people with eviler motives, such a place would be perfect for them.

And so was the case for the pilot of the spacecraft. But, all you must be wandering about who is this maniac, and how the hell does he look like.

I kid you not, but his name is not known, even to himself. But he, himself had given him a very suiting name from his own federation's language. He called himself_ "Keel" _, in which translates to, "the powerful one" in their language.

Other than his mysterious name, one can still map out and track his physical features, gender and species he belonged to. One could also track out his past history and odd tactics (which may or may not make sense).

He was dull grey colored very muscular and large wolf. His eyes were a crimson red, and his face was firm and stubborn. A scar from a bear hunt which had gone wrong still remained permanently on his right eye. Even from these features, everyone who had seen him noted his crimson red eyes, which made even the toughest of the toughest be very uncomfortable near his presence.

Some even reporting, that his crimson red eyes would glow in the dark.

He had spent his young years with his rich father on the planet of Wolven XI. He was from the start one of those posh twerps which would go around boasting about his materialistic riches and the stuff he had at home in school.

When he grew up into a man, he started being more curious, but with it, came evil. He would spend time stealing stuff from unsuspecting victims pockets, not for having childish fun and seeing the disappointment and anger in their faces, but rather, to make their life more miserable.

He carried out these acts on the concept that, the more you take from your enemies, the more powerful you become. With the aid of this concept, he believed that he could one day rule the world (big dreams for a small kid)!

And just as you would have thought, soon, he was very rich, richer then society or his father could have imagined. With this money, he would 'invest' in greater efforts to bring down the good willed society of his hometown by many means. He would also spend it on making more money.

What kind of means, you may ask?

By the means of bribery and stealing (now you must be telling me, "But Auni38, this isn't many!" You know what? It was only to make it seem more 'awe' inspiring).

Basically, he would steal to make others blame each other for the stolen item, especially on children who had brothers and sisters. But he would also do it on anyone which had any good social relations, to deteriorate it and make them more angry at society.

Next, is by bribery. Bribery has many benefits for the evil doer, such as allowing them to cover up what they stole if they got caught. However, _luckily_for him, he never got caught in that age, as he was an excellent sneak-thief, even though he was very heavy and muscular.

He would, well rather use the money he used to bribe people with, as to bribe or, in his sweet honey flavored words: "Better Educational Courses" for teachers.

He would invent up something very amazing in his work place, a very intelligent form of _educational_curriculum for specific teachers he would personally select by himself.

Well, lemme give you an example of one.

For this example, we will be creating a new concept in which makes students read books 90% of the time, and only 10% of the time write. Any questions? Well, let's say that the 10% hurt a little bit too much, so he instead shifted the values to 80% and 200% of the time students read. Still any questions? If you have, WAIT!

So, now, he wants to carry out this type of 'curriculum (does that word even fit?)'. But the problem is, on his home planet, only the government would only allow new changes, but hey, he can't wait all month long for it to be approved by the education minister.

So, he resorts to the most simplest form of helping himself and someone else. Bribery.

Now, it would be the best tactic to use as teachers, those days, were having a very low salary in their country. Which means he got easy targets. In which it made it easier to spread his new theory.

Well, with one in our example, let's say that he convinced and bribed the teachers to follow his new ideas and schedules. To cover up any evidence left behind, he would go and even bribe a school's management, board etc.

Now, you may ask what _evil benefit_is brought about from such a sound (?) concept? I mean reading a lot and writing a bit is good right? Nope. Nope. That's' right, Nope.

Now before you lash out on me like a feral wolf, I suppose you stay here and listen.

OK, let's start with my first argument on why such a concept helps the bad.

First of all, the whole planet is mostly run by corporate companies which are very shady and evil. And most of these shady and evil people have a very good connection with Mr. Keel.

These people are however, having trouble with running their businesses as people keep writing their opinions, arguments, articles and reports so well and detailed, that they kept getting pounded by the citizens of the country.

Because of this, they decided to take the easy and secretive way and asked Keel to do something. With his new plan and group of friends, he managed to successfully make the next generation more dumb and dumber.

How, you may ask?

Well, first things first. I agree you can't just to that by only doing something like that. That would be plain stupid, so he had to involve other factors in it too. Liquidating good teachers, changing the way the information is being taught and etc.

Soon, the next generation of population's writing was very informal (*It should be noted that the effect can vary greatly from federation to federation and planet to planet*). But wait! This age (even in their planet) was a age of information and spaceships. Basically, they had access to the hyper-net.

And every regular citizen on the planet could access it.

So, they had to use millions of internet trolls to break down good sites, strip them apart by hacking, and make sure that most people don't want to write something because of the fear of denial or humiliation.

They could have used their tongues, but the company's would liquidate them too.

In one word, Keel would do anything for his clients so that he and his clients could earn trillions and trillions, while yet carrying out shady and evil activities.

He had been so successful in every task that his clients asked, society was now a bummer, easily tricked and fooled by the corporations. And the ones who knew something was wrong couldn't write a single proper sentence on the local-hyper-net without the trolls either ripping apart his site down to the opposite of his opinions or being chased for life by the enemy assassination squads.

The corporations CEOs all wanted money, fame and power. But Keel? He wanted more, something more. His heart desired even more fame and power.

So he spent many days in the still un-corrupted libraries of his home town, searching for something possibly evil and great which could give him great power and control over the citizens of his federation, or more greatly the_universe_.

He would search books about history and the most controversial subject in his planet, magic. However, from the view of a human, what they call 'magic' in their language would be modern technology (for humans).

They regarded things such as spaceships, aircraft and etc as magic. The reason why this was controversial, was the fact that nearly all the citizens and governments of the planet only had a few magicians (engineers)_and _scholars (scientists) all from other planets.

Sure, the population used it in daily life, but still, it remained a bit shunned.

Shunned in the way in as, no one, and I mean no one should be allowed to create or research further into the arts of magic (I'm getting tired of using this word).

That's right; no more programming and developing for you, even at the most basic level in this planet. Surely, this planet won't get a lot of tech-nerds.

But Keel, however, was looking for real the real magic. And in this process, he discovered the planet of Mys IXV had a disturbing past history. So he quickly packed his equipment, locked his house, bought a spaceship and went out to to make a stay on the frightening planet.

But as a proper planet fall can take a long, long , _ long _ time to describe, we shall now fast forward to the scene in which he is on the ground.

The sound of a silent raging wind grew louder as Keel drove his manned rover to an uncertain destination. The sun shore up on the horizon, radiating with red light in all it's glory. The black surface of Mys IXV felt sinister, and the whole planet seemed to emit an aurora of death, destruction and fear.

He however, was not afraid, but any ordinary person would have nightmares, and even go crazy. Dead trees sparsely covered the land, giving even a more deadly, frightening atmosphere.

He drove on with his four wheeled rover, wondering whether the ruins of the mining town Helios still remained intact. Unknown to him, he was driving on a cursed land. Years of magical experimentation and the efforts of a madman trying to make a hell gate into the planet, had indeed cursed it.

Many would say that sometimes, they would see the red sun as a skull, smirking evilly at them. Many archaeologists left quickly, as they were too afraid to stay here.

Others would also report seeing ghosts, and even skeletons walking around, but this time, they would_happily_ wave at them. Keel saw none of these, and not a single bit of fear enveloped his heart and mind.

Instead, without giving a single damn, he would keep on driving.

After 10 minutes of driving he reached the town of Helios, which was now in ruins. Small concrete flats now lay in rubbles and scrap metal littered the town.

Keel quickly parked his rover next to a ruin, and took out a map from his backpack. After a few minutes of observing and spotting local landmarks, he then whispered out to himself, "We're here."

He quickly put on his space-suit, and left the manned rover and went in into the cursed land of Mys IXV. The air felt colder than the ice of Pluto, however, one could see it was his own fear making him feel cold.

Even he felt it, but not as intense as others. And like a man on a mission, he set out into the ruins, to find the magical artifact he was looking for.

After hours of searching the ruins with small breaks, he noticed something very odd as he was roaming around. A red misty light seemed to escape from a flat, surrounded by dead trees. The light that was escaping from a door in the bottom floor was red, but did not exactly match with the intensity of the red sun, still glowing in all it's glory.

He knew there was something very suspicious going on, and if there was an archaeologist in there, he was going to murder that fellow and continue on his hunt. He didn't care about others. He just wanted this artifact found and used for his own purposes.

So, he went up to the door, and with the might of his feet (combined with the might of the space-suit) kicked open the door. Upon opening, a blinding light of red light flashed from inside the room. Then, with a massive bang Keel was blown backwards and was blown out of his senses...
