#2 of Pool Pals Series

Sequel to Pool Fun. I hope you all enjoy it. Thanks go out to my editor who not only edited my story but added a nice touch to it as well. Thank You

Hello, everyone. I want to apologize for my very long absence. I have been going through a lot of rough spots in my life and it has been forcing me to neglect and forget about writing :( and for this I sincerely apologize. I would like to thank my very good friend for being there for me. He encouraged me to push on and get past my obstacles. He also gave me the inspiration to continue writing and sticking with my ideas and for that I cannot thank him enough. So I'd like to announce my return with a continuation of the story I wrote a few years back 'Pool Fun'.

So let's jump in shall we?

Hello and welcome back readers! In our last chapter, the girls had a fantastic start of their summer vacation at the community pool! They swam, splashed, chatted, and...well you gotta read it to get the full warming effect. We then left our girls walking off into the sunset toward a fun filled sleepover at Tammy's house and that is where we shall begin.

"Gosh, girls, I sure did have a great time at the pool today! It felt great to get out and get cooled down by the water, especially after this heat wave we've been having" Tammy said to her friends. They all agreed with playful smiles and laughter as they thought back to the fun they had just a while ago.

"Hah! Yeah cooled down is right but, only to be warmed right back up by you Tammy!" Samantha joked with her fox friend which made her blush.

"H...Hey I'm not the only one who contributed in warming the water!" Tammy glared teasingly to Samantha and then to the rest of the group who all smiled shyly then started to laugh which in turn caused Tammy to laugh as well.

They all continued down the road toward their destination. As they got closer, Tammy started to get nervous which Sherry noticed.

"Uh, Tammy? Why ya lookin' like yer about ta be spooked?" The pony spoke in her heavy southern drawl as she asked her friend what was wrong.

"Yeah Tam', like, what's got you riled up?" Chimed in Cindy; who had been surprisingly quiet until now. Tammy stopped walking and turned around to look at her friends with a concerned expression.

"Well, um...you see... I might as well tell you now since you girls are sleeping over my place." This peaked the girls' interest even more and listened to what their foxy friend had to say. "You see, my parents are a bit....different. You might say they're hippies and live how they want to...freely. They're also very...open to things to say the least" Tammy explained in a stuttering manner. "Don't get me wrong though, I love them with all my heart but...Im just concerned you guys will be weirded out..." She finished explaining and looked away from her friends and into the distance. Sherry smiled and walked up to her friend and hugged her tightly.

"Aw, hun you don't gotta be embarrassed bout' your mom an' pop! They are who they are and we will accept them for who they are and I'm sure as anythin that we will all have a great time over at your place. And remember, Tammy; we're all weird in our own way as well. Shoot, our little incident we all enjoyed at the pool is proof!" Sherry giggled and the rest of the girls agreed with her and joined in to form a group hug. Tammy was flattered and touched.

"Thank you so much guys, you are truly the greatest friends a girl can ask for!" she hugged, trying to hold back tears of happiness.

After their hug, they continued onward soon arriving at Tammy's house. The house itself was built with all natural resources and fitted with energy saving appliances and electronics and in the front was a beautiful garden which grew many kinds of crops from corn to cabbage.

"Boy howdy, Tammy, yer house sure is pretty neat! It has that old look but with a modern touch" Sherry marveled at the structure as they walked up to the front door. Tammy braced herself; she reminded herself on what Sherry said and smiled, gaining her confidence and unlocking the door.

"Welcome to my house, girls." she said as she opened the door and led them into the main room which was the living room. The smell of incense was in the air, but the girls found it quite relaxing. The room itself was a decent sized room decorated with various types of charms, pictures, and furniture.

"Wow, Tammy, your parents know how to design." Samantha commented on the interior decor.

"Why thank you, little one." A middle aged fox woman with braided hair appeared from around the corner. "I decorate using refurbished items which gives it that rustic look. Kind of cozy don't you think?" The fox woman asked the skunk girl. Samantha could only nod in agreement as she was too shy to reply. "My name is Wendy Reynolds and I'm Tammy's mommy!" she said in a playful tone while ruffling her daughter's hair causing a giggle from the girls. Wendy was 35 with a well-toned body and shapely breasts and she had a much darker shade of fur than her daughter had and was not afraid to live carefree and openly. "It's so nice to meet you girls. I hope you will enjoy your time here at our humble home." Wendy smiled and hugged each of the girls. Tammy hugged back then looked around wondering where her father was.

"Where's dad at? Has he left for work?" Tammy asked looking at her mother, hoping to introduce her father to her friends.

"No, babe," said Wendy, "Zero is out in the back gardens picking fresh fruit so I can make you girls smoothies." The girls smiled brightly at the mention of smoothies.

"WOW, Mrs. Wendy you're so awesome!" Cindy said excitedly, her tail wagging back and forth.

"Oh uh... It's just Wendy, little one. You make me sound old...or like my mother!" The elder fox chuckled and led the girls through the house showing them where things were like bathrooms and such. "Now the only room you're not allowed to go in is our room which is behind this purple door." Wendy said with a smile, "It's not about privacy but more of the fact you girls are just a bit too young to get into the things me and Zero have back there; Right, Tammy?" Wendy gave her daughter a look only a parent can give, making Tammy look away, blushing. "Well, girls, that concludes the tour of the lower level of the house. The upstairs is one room, and that would be Tammy's."

"Seriously?" asked Cindy, excitedly, "She's got the whole upstairs to herself?"

"Pretty much!" said Wendy, "So, Tam, why don't you show your friends your room while I start dinner." Tammy nodded and led the girls upstairs.

Once they reached Tammy's bedroom, they got settled in. The room itself was neat and clean with light blue walls and various decorations from hippie themed items to miscellaneous items.

"I really like your room, Tammy; it's so much bigger than mine and not to mention cozy." Samantha said while bouncing on her friend's king sized bed.

"I totally agree, Tammy" Cindy chipped in, "and heck we can all practically sleep on this bed with room to spare!" Tammy thought of something for a moment, then her face lit up with excitement.

"Why don't we all sleep on my bed!?" The fox said with a big grin on her face, "It will be much more comfy than sleeping on the floor in your sleeping bags." Her idea seemed to be a hit with the girls as they all happily agreed with her.

"So now that the sleeping arrangements are settled, what will we be doing for fun tonight Tammy?" Samantha asked her friend in anticipation.

"Well I was thinking we would watch some movies, and play something like truth or dare." Tammy went down the list and the girls seemed even more excited.

"Well alrighty then y'all, we got our self a darn good sleepover then!" Sherry jumped for joy and the rest of the girls agreed. The celebration was soon interrupted by a knock at the door.

"Come in!" Tammy shouted, the door opens to reveal her mother with a stack of cups and a pitcher with the freshly made smoothie drink.

"Here you girls go, don't drink to fast or you'll get brain freeze." Wendy chuckled "Also dinner will be done soon; we are having homemade spaghetti. All the ingredients are from our garden so it shouldn't have any weird stuff in it like the stores put in their food." And with that she left to finish preparing dinner.

"You know Tammy; I think your parents are so awesome! They have that charm and hospitality that a lot of other people don't have." Cindy complimented as she sipped her smoothie.

"Thanks Cindy but...you still haven't met my father yet. Zero has this aura around him that nobody can figure out." Tammy laughed.

"Zero? How did he acquire that name?" Samantha asked in a confused tone.

"Oh well that was his squads code name back during the gulf war. He wasn't like what he is today as he was back then. He doesn't talk much about those days but mom tells he was a very strict soldier! And that he was in command of a tank division. I guess he just liked the name so much he stuck with it but, his real name is Fredrick or just 'Fred' for short." The girls were surprised at this revelation and were eager to now meet the fox called Zero.

"Golly, Tams, you're just full of surprises!" said Sherry, "I bet he's tough as a tank!"

"Oh I can just imagine him out there working the in the garden." said Samantha.

"Muscles flexing; his toned body glimmering in the sun." added Cindy. Both Cindy and Samantha spoke in a dreamy tone while thinking of Tammy's father.

"GUYS, EWW! THAT'S MY DAD!!!" Tammy blushed and glared at the two daydreamers. "Plus I don't need those thoughts of him in my head." she covered her face in embarrassment.

There was another knock at the door and soon Wendy appeared.

"Hello, little ones, sorry to interrupt your fun but the spaghetti is ready." Wendy smiled and left.

"Boy howdy right on time, Ah'm so hungry ah could eat a....oh...yeah." Sherry blushed heavily and the rest of the girls busted into a fit of laughter. "HUSH AND LETS GO EAT" Sherry said in a frustrated tone. With that, she headed down the stairs and the rest of the girls followed. They arrived at the dinner table which was set up with a big bowl of spaghetti and other bowls of side dishes; the smells of the home cooked meal was making their mouths water in hunger.

"Take a seat girls, it will be just a moment before we eat. Zero is finishing up in the shower so it shouldn't be too much longer." With that note, Cindy and Samantha grinned making Tammy feel awkward again. Sherry on the other hand just wanted to dig in. Being the daughter of a work horse left her with a big appetite and the only daydreaming she had was a bowl of food in front of her.

Soon enough footsteps could be heard coming down the hall and then Zero rounded the corner. Zero, like Wendy and Tammy, was a fox. He was 39 years old and was dressed in a sleeveless shirt and a pair of jeans which formed to his body very well. His body, like Samantha and Cindy predicted, was very well toned and he had a good deal of muscle to add to it.

"Hi, Dad!" Tammy ran up to him to give him a hug.

"Hello to you too darling!" he wrapped his arms around his daughter to return the hug. "Ah! I see you brought you friends along. Care to introduce them to me?" He smiled at his daughters friends.

"Sure dad; this is Sherry." she pointed to the pony who waved.

"Howdy, it's very nice to meet yah." Sherry greeted Zero.

"Next up we have Samantha." Tammy then directed him towards the skunk girl. At this point, both Samantha and Cindy were speechless. They were in such awe with Tammy's father that they didn't even know what to say.

"Uh...H... Hello... I'm..." Samantha stammered, too nervous to talk. "Sa...mantha" she finally finished. Tammy cringed and then directed him to Cindy; who was just as speechless as her skunk friend.

"Im CiCindy I... I mean, Cindy!" The Dalmatian blurted out. This made Cindy blush and Sherry and Tammy face palm.

"Well it's so lovely to have you girls join us." said Zero with a smile, "Shall we dig in?" He grinned and sat down. Wendy then spoke up

"I'd like to ask for everyone if they could to say grace to their respective religions. We must give thanks to those who grant us the blessings of this day and for the food." She smiled then bowed her head as did the rest of the group. After the blessing, the group began to chow down on their food. Tammy and Sherry talked back and forth with each other while Cindy and Samantha sat quietly in their seats; eating and eying Tammy's dad, they let out the occasional giggle and grin while trying not to get noticed by the male fox. Tammy ignored them but still felt awkward due to her father being ogled by her best friends. Sherry on the other hand was too busy on her food, she herself was on her second helping of spaghetti by the looks of it, and there was no sign of stopping. Zero was amused by this,

"My goodness, Sherry, you sure can eat!" He chuckled.

"Well I guess it's cuz of my appetite." Sherry said, "Yah see I work on my pop's farm a lot and I assume that contributes to my metabolism." Sherry smiled and finished up her bowl and gulped down the rest of her drink. Zero smiled at her response then took a peek at his watch.

"Well, young ones it's time for me to head off to work so I'll see you girls in the morning." He said as he rose from his chair. He gave Tammy a hug and Wendy a kiss goodbye and headed out the door.

Dinner was soon finished and all the girls contributed to help clear the table and wash the dishes for Wendy. About now it was around 7 PM and Tammy decided it was now time to start their party.

"So guys, are you ready to have fun?" she said excitedly in which the group nodded. "Then lets head up to my room and party!" she cheered and they all headed up to Tammy's room.

"What'll we do first?" Sherry asked. "Oh! Ohh! How about we talk about Zero and how beautiful he looks!" Cindy suggested and Samantha instantly agreed.

"That's a wonderful idea! Hey Cindy did you see how much muscle he had and how firm his behind wa..."

"NO NO NO!!! WE WILL NOT BE TALKING ABOUT MY DAD!!!" Tammy interrupted "In-fact, don't even think about him or his....behind." She blushed hard and shivered in distaste. Sherry laughed and came up with an idea.

"Well how bout first we get outta these clothes and change into our PJ's." she suggested.

"Yeah that's a great idea!" Cindy agreed.

"Yeah it is getting a bit stuffy in here as well." Samantha replied.

"Thank you, Sherry, for coming up with a WAAAAY better plan then thinking of my dad." Tammy glared at the two daydreaming girls and then went to her closet.

"It's no problem at all Tam;" said Sherry, "Besides I ain't that much interested in that lovey dovey stuff...!" She chuckles and unzips her backpack to pull out her nightwear. The other two girls just roll their eyes and retrieve their nightwear as well.

Now that they were changed, they all decided to pop in a movie. They decided on a watching Beverly Hills Cop which was personal favorite of Samantha because she loved police movies. Before the movie started however, Tammy got more smoothies for the girls and they settled in to watch. An hour and a half later with a few giggles here and there, the movie was finished.

"You know... I think being a cop wouldn't be all that bad." Samantha said while she imagined herself as an officer of the law.

"Uh Sammy...yah know it's just a movie right?" said Sherry, "Ah don't think real life cops go around blowing stuff up like guy on the screen." Cindy felt uneasy hearing how her friend wanted to become a police officer. She was worried that Samantha would turn out to become just like every other police officer she had met and just boss people around with no sense of fun at all.

"I know, Sherry;" said Samantha, "But I think I'd look good in uniform...I know Tammy's dad would look gorgeous in uniform." Samantha grinned and blushed.

"SAM!!! EWWW!!" Tammy covered her ears and tried to erase the thought by coming up with an idea. "How about we play that game of truth or dare now? And whatever the questions are, I don't want them to be about my dad AT ALL!" This caused Samantha and Cindy to frown but agreed to play the game as well as Sherry.

They all gathered in a circle facing each other and Tammy put an empty bottle in the middle. Cindy all of a sudden started to giggle

"Hey, Sammy and Tammy..." She giggled, "I can see you undies!" This caused Sherry to laugh and made Samantha and Tammy to look down to see that there was straight shot view of their panties which caused them to blush.

"Well if you girls keep staring, why don't you take a picture!" said Tammy, indignantly, "Here let me give you a better look!" Tammy hiked up her nightgown to show the girls her white panties with a bow.

"Yeah why not?" Samantha replied ad did the same to show off her pink pony panties. Sherry couldn't help but laugh harder. "Anyway let's start!" Samantha interrupted the side show and spun the bottle which landed on Sherry. "Truth or Dare?" The skunk asked.

"Uh....Truth"

"Is it true that last year your dad took you to school on horseback?" Samantha asked with a smirk. Sherry grumbled at this

"NO! That was all rumors cuz the city kids were being jerks and kept teasing me." she lied but gave in. "Ok.... my dad may have taken me once on horse due to the truck breaking." This gave the girls a good laugh making Sherry embarrassed. "Aright then! Mah turn!" Sherry spun the bottle, hoping it would land on Samantha so she could get her back for the humiliation but it landed on Cindy.

"Dare!" the Dalmatian answered.

"I dare you ta....quickly drink the rest of your smoothie!" said Sherry. She grinned and watched as Cindy gulped her drink which quickly gave her brain freeze.

"Owwww..." Cindy moaned in discomfort as she clutched her head. It was now Cindy's turn and once she rid herself of her brain freeze she spun the bottle and it landed on Tammy.

"Truth..." Tammy smiled and Cindy started to think of what to ask. She remembered when they all first arrived at Tammy's house and was getting the tour by Wendy. There they were told not to go into the parents room and remembered how Wendy gave her daughter a look which made Tammy blush.

"Ok Tammy," said Cindy, "Back when we were getting a tour by your mom, she sort of mentioned that we aren't allowed in their room. She also gave you a look....so! What's in your parent's room and how did you get in trouble?" Tammy blushed hard.

"I... don't want to.."

"Nuh uh, Tams you gotta follow the rules!" Sherry interrupted., "Besides, I'm interested on what ya did."

"Me too!" Samantha added as well. Tammy sighed and continued.

"One day while my parents were out... I... got a bit curious and went into their room. At first there was nothing too unusual like weird vases that were shaped funny. Oh! One was like a tube and at the base was like a bubble with a mini bowl thing on the side. One other vase thing was super tall with multiple orbs with tubes coming out the sides. Anyways I got bored with the vases and looked under my parent's bed and I found a box!"

"And!!!" the three girls said in unison.

"And inside were weird objects as well. One was a like a bead necklace but it was broke because it wasn't connected to the other side." Tammy went on, "I found a piece of a costume as well! It was a very well made leather whip. But the thing that stood out the most was a long plastic cylinder. It was pink and had bumps all down the shaft of it and leading to the bottom was a button which I pushed. It scared me a bit because it started to vibrate really fast like a video game controller. But as I was looking at it more, my mom walked in and I'll never forgot the look she had. She had the biggest blush ever and her jaw was hanging down, kinda like in the cartoons." Tammy giggled thinking about it now. "My mom made me put the things away and gave me a talking too about something like curiosity and exploring. I can't much remember." The girls rather enjoyed the story and after hearing all that, they all kind of wanted to explore Tammy's parents' room as well; but the all knew too well that there was no chance of that.

A couple of spins later, the game came to a close. Tammy looked at the clock and noticed it was getting late.

"We should wash up and get to bed. Why don't we all take a bath so we can save water? Our bathtub's big enough to fit us all." Tammy suggested

"I can't see a problem, shucks me and my sis take our baths together all the time." Sherry smiled.

"A bath does sound lovely. I can get all the chlorine out of my fur." Samantha said; and Cindy nodded in agreement.

With all that being said, the girls headed downstairs and into the bathroom. Tammy started the water and started getting undressed. The rest of the girls followed suit and undressed leaving them completely naked. Samantha blushed a little from being naked in front of her friends.

"Sam...There's nothing to be embarrassed about! We are all girls here and friends." Tammy chuckled.

"I-I know but, I guess I'm just too shy sometimes." The skunk smiled timidly

The tub was soon filled with water and temperature adjusted. Tammy and the rest of the girls got in and began to wash up.

"You know, this reminds me of the time we all first met!" Cindy spoke up. "I remember it was five years ago; the school just established a swim team and I met you guys at tryouts for the junior division. After the tryouts, the coach picked us 4 as the top swimmers! And after a while, we grew a bond that nobody can break."

"Yeah that day was pretty exciting. Actually I think that was the best day I ever had. I moved into town that year and you guys were my first friends at school." Samantha spoke back.

"Really, Sam? I thought ya always were there at that school? Or am I thinkin' of another skunk gal?" Sherry thought.

"Nope I asked my parents to transfer me into a public school. I used to go to a private school and I was terribly lonely in that place. So once they saw how bad I felt, they agreed to let me go to your school. Gosh I'm glad I did too, because...I would've never have met such wonderful friends as you." Samantha held back tears of happiness. The girls took noticed and smiled.

"Group hug!" Cindy shouted and the girls all hugged their skunk friend. "I'm so glad you are my best friends...." Cindy said.

"Me too..." Tammy said and hugged back, "Hey! We should come up with a name for our group!"

"That's a great idea!" said Sherry, "But... we'd need something that states who we are... and ain't too complicated to say."

"OH! OH!" said Samantha, "Since we are all on the swim team in school, and we love hanging out at the community pool... Why don't we call ourselves the... Pool Pals?" The girls chuckled.

"I like it Samantha..." said Tammy, "Cindy, Sherry, what do you think?" she asked.

"I think it's a great idea!" They said together cheerfully.

They then proceeded to clean themselves. Each girl loaned a helping hand by washing each other's backs and helping to get knots out of their hair. Tammy then pulled the plug and they all got out and dried off and started to dress into their pajamas.

Tammy pulled out blue nightgown and a pair of white panties with a blue heart on the front. She then put her nightgown on and waited for her friends. Sherry got out a pair of red panties and a loose fitting t-shirt and a pair of gray sweatpants to put on. By this time, Cindy and Samantha got their items out as well. Cindy slipped on a pair of yellow string bikini panties with a smile face, then slipping on a pair of short shorts with a simple white t-shirt while Samantha put of frilly blue panties and a mini skirt and a tank top.

"Now Tam and Sam, I hope you don't bend over for nuthin' or your undies will show!" Sherry teased.

"Oh no! I seemed to have dropped something." Tammy giggled and bent over, raising her tail so her night gown rode up to show her panty clad backside. "Gosh I hope no one can see my panties!" Tammy laughed which made the rest of the girls laugh as well.

After dressing, they headed upstairs and into Tammy's room. As they entered, a bright flash of lightning was seen followed by flickering lights, thunder, then darkness which caused the girls to jump in fright.

"Ahhh!!" Cindy yelped in fright.

"D-don't worry...It's just a power outage...." Tammy nervously laughed. Samantha and Sherry calmed down, but Cindy didn't look convinced. After a moment, there was a knock at the door.

"Come in!" called Tammy. The door opened and Wendy came into the room.

"Girls...?" she said, "I just wanted to make sure you were okay."

"Don't worry, mom..." said Tammy, "We're fine."

"I'm not!" said a voice. Everyone turned and looked at Cindy. "I... I'm really scared of thunderstorms." the Dalmatian admitted.

"Whoa..." said Sherry, "Jus' when ye think ye know someone..."

"It's the thunder..." said Cindy, "Whenever I hear the loud booming noise, something inside me snaps and I just can't..." KRACK-KOW!!! A massive clap of thunder sounded and seemed to rock the whole house! Everyone, even Wendy, jumped in surprise. Cindy responded by screaming like a toddler and trying to squeeze under Tammy's bed where she proceeded to whimper like a scared puppy.

"Cindy..." said Samantha, "Are you okay?" Cindy didn't answer, so Wendy got down on her knees next to the whimpering Dalmatian and gently stroked her back.

"It's okay, Cindy;" said Wendy, "It's just sound... it can't hurt you..." Slowly, Cindy came out from under the bed, and the rest of the girls noticed she had tears in her eyes.

"My... my parents tell me the... same thing..." she struggled to say, "And I want to believe them, but... I just can't convince myself..."

"Don't worry, Cindy," said Samantha, "There's no shame in being afraid of something; trust me... I know..." This caused Cindy to smile a little bit.

"We're all here for you, Cindy;" said Tammy.

"That's right!" said Sherry.

"Thanks, everyone..." said Cindy, "I feel a bit better now."

"Tell you what;" said Wendy, "Why don't you girls climb into bed, and I'll tell you all about the beauty of thunderstorms like this."

"Okay, mom!" said Tammy, "That sounds like fun!" With that, all four of the girls climbed under the covers of Tammy's bed; and Wendy got up onto the end of the bed facing the girls.

"Okay..." said Wendy, in a mysterious tone, "A long time ago, whenever there was a powerful rainstorm such as this one; the whole world would become dark as the water poured down from the heavens."

"That must have been horrible." said Samantha.

"It was;" said Wendy, "A lot of people lost their way in rainstorms and sometimes... their lives." She paused for a moment for dramatic effect. "And so..." she continued, "The gods decided they needed a way to prevent the people of the world safe in times of heavy rain."

"So what did they do, mom?" asked Tammy. Wendy smiled and said,

"They built... a lightning gun!"

"No way!" said Cindy, "Really?"

"Really!" said Wendy, "They set it up on the trailing end of storms so that the lightning always flashes in the heart of it." At that very moment, the lightning flashed, followed by a clap of thunder.

"Whoa..." all the girls said at once. Wendy chuckled and proceeded to finish her story.

"That's why we have thunder and lightning during these kinds of storms;" she said, "It's so people can find their way through the dark and rain."

"Wow..." said Cindy, "I never thought of it like that." Then she smiled and said, "I guess thunder and lightning are pretty important!" and all the girls laughed.

By now, the thunder had quieted to a soft rumble; and the girls were all exhausted from their exciting day.

"G'night, mom..." Tammy yawned.

"Goodnight, sweetie." said Wendy as she kissed her daughter on her forehead, "And goodnight to you too, girls."

"G'night, Wendy..." said Cindy as she closed her eyes, "And thanks... thanks for everything." And with that, the Dalmatian was asleep. It didn't take much longer for Sherry, Samantha, and Tammy to follow suit. Wendy smiled and quietly exited the room, leaving the Pool Pals to drift off into dreamland, listening to the rain against the window and dreaming of what this summer might hold for them.
