Intro: past: It's been three years since the president declared a war on the Ebola virus in 2014. Soldiers sent over seas to deal with the spread that was getting out of hand. Even with the help of the US government it kept spreading no one knew why the media had been shut out from what was going on leaving only speculation, and wild conspiracy theories. A year later it hit US shores the media went crazy and the conspiracy nuts were right some of them anyway. There was something else piggybacking off of the so called Ebola Virus something just as strange and terrifying. S.U.R.G.M(sudden recessive genetic mutation) Were one brought about the Zombies the other caused rapid muscle, bone and hair growth along with reshaping of the body three out of four people to contract S.U.R.G.M die and rise with there twisted form to feed on the living. For the ones who survived they found the selves changed sometime for the the better sometimes not, They would fined them selves resembling various anthropomorphic animals anything from Cats to Wolves and inheriting parts of there characteristic.

Intro:current, 2017, May I stood shaking, I never get used to plunging an axe into someone's head. He had come out of nowhere much quieter than they normally do, he must have been fresh, fresh enough to use tactical blind spots and shadows, it was impressive. As I stood there, looking around for more, a crackle came over I'm intercom. "Holdvar! Hey! You alright?!" It was Bromvald, my younger brother. "Yeah" I said. "Just a little startled is all. It's all clear now, send someone around back to make sure nothing's lurking around." "Got it" Bromvald replied".

If you couldn't figure by now, we weren't in the best of company, what had started as a mad case of what was thought to be Ebola, was actually something much worse. The virus was altered, mutated by an unknown source people who had been infected would act normally enough until they suddenly died. Then the unthinkable happened they got back up. At first it was thought to be a miracle, until the person began attacking anyone and everyone within arms reach. The military did its best to stop them or hold them off but they weren't used to an enemy that would get back up after being shot. Overseas they had been quickly over run, and the same could be said back here in the states. No one was prepared. No one figured Zombies would or ever could exist.

I had received an all clear from Hanlof, and I began searching for supplies Medicine, food, water, alcohol and ammo or cigarettes Anything can be used for trade. The last thing you want to trade is your ammo, give up food before you give up your ammo, because you can always hunt for food but you can't hunt if you don't have ammo. That's the first and foremost rule we live by that and when in doubt double tap and smash.

As I searched, I realized I had left my axe in my friends head, no big deal, as long as I didn't forget to grab it on the way out, it's not a good idea to carry an infected weapon around, unless you have to. I continued to poke around the fuel station for anything useful, I found a few candy bars, a bottle of water and a pack of cigarettes, with only two left inside. Not exactly what I had hoped to find, but not a total loss, considering the station was only 10 miles from our base. By base, I mean a hardware store that we had stripped the inside of and built a barricade around every possible entrance and exit. It was out little piece of heaven. So now with spoils in hand it was time to leave. As I headed for the door I grabbed my axe clipped it into my holster and grinned as I walked outside.

My brother, Bromvald, greeted me with a grimace, "That's all you got!?" He shouted, "that's not even enough to last us the trip back, I'm not a little shrimp like you!" He laughed Swatting me with his tail and said, "at least you're still in one piece!" I got to our truck and threw what I had found into the back, and reached up to my intercom and called for Hanlof to come back, before I could, he had already called. "I need backup!" He shouted, "I got a couple big ones, and they are fresh!"

With that, I jumped into the truck, Bromvald slammed on the gas and threw the truck into reverse, Lemberth, jumped into the small roof mounted turret and strapped himself in. I grabbed the MP5 that was strapped to the door and readied myself. As I did Bromvald spun the truck 180 degrees and slid around the back corner of the building, when we arrived at Hanlof's location, we saw what he was yelling about, three hulking sprinters they weren't your normal fast zombie, they stood six foot tall and looked like steroid junkie body builders. We slid in front of Hanlof, "get in" I shouted, "you don't gotta be rude about it" he said with a grin. Then all hell opened above us the belt fed M240B machine gun let lose a barrage of lead. Soon the barrage stopped, and the only thing left standing was a Bullet riddled fence post where the zombies had been charging. The four of us laughed almost hysterically and once our laughter subsided we headed home.
