The Elder's Wish

Chapter 5

Aina sighed as the wet slap of Nhlahla's tongue made her moist sex throb. Each lick curled with finesse, careful and precise, teasing and flicking. Lying on her back her as lips swelled with pleasure, it hit Aina for the first time that Nhlahla was very experienced. How many girls had gotten lucky with Nhlahla the Lucky? And for how many years? The thought that Nhlahla had been lusting for her all this time sent a shiver through her, and as if she sensed this sudden burst of arousal, Nhlahla sucked Aina's pink, pulsing clitoris into her lips . . . and both females spurted in a sudden climax.

Breathless and blushing, Aina blinked helplessly at the ceiling as Nhlahla curled against her. She squeezed the younger vixen in her arm and kissed her head, loving the press of those perky little breasts near her own.

"Mmm," moaned Nhlahla, and with hooded eyes, she licked her wet lips and gently squeezed Aina's sharp breast. The nipple stood out harder, pink and rigid. Nhlahla pinched it carefully.

Aina frowned helplessly. She could feel her clitoris throbbing all over again as her lover's careful fingers worked her. Nhlahla pinched her slowly again and she hissed with delight, arching her back and pressing her breasts to the ceiling.

"Nhlahla . . ."

Nhlahla laughed quietly and balled her small paw into a fist. "Again?"

"No, no," Aina whispered, blushing. "I'm so tired . . ."

Nhlahla nodded, and with hungry eyes, buried her face in Aina's breasts instead. She suckled gently, her soft smacking steady against the low moans of the princess. Aina felt a little dazed as the pleasure pulsed through her. She curled her black paw in Nhlahla's mane and her lashes fluttered as the vixen's careful fingers glided between the hot lips of her sex.

Oh gods. Nhlahla knew damn well Aina was tired, but she was going to try to coax more sex from her. Aina knew her game. She would start with sucking and fingering . . . then her two fingers would become three . . . and her three fingers would become a fist. And that fist would punch inside the hot, wet walls of her sex until she exploded, until her passion rushed hot and moist down her thighs. Nhlahla didn't intend to stop until she was satisfied.

And she didn't.

When Nhlahla made the princess climax a second time, they lay in her narrow bed, panting and content, their manes in their faces, as the candle on the bedside table began to gutter.

Breasts riding with her gasps, Aina glanced around her bedroom. She did not live a glamorous life apart from her tribe. She was their princess, but she knew the same struggles as her subjects. Her bed and possessions were simple, as were her clothes and adornments. A closet standing against the far wall held her simple collection of deerskin dresses. She had a sleeveless set for the summer and dresses with legs and sleeves for the winter. Her moccasins stood in a row near the closet. A low table in the center of the bedroom was surrounded by pillows, and it was there that Aina would kneel to bead her jewelry, sharpen knives, sew her clothes. A clay washbasin in the corner was where she washed, and another small table held her brushes and mane adornments: shells, fish bones, and precious stones collected from the earth itself.

The walls of Aina's room were painted with the symbols of her tribe's language. The symbols told the story of the great Ti'uu bird, the blue spirit guide which watched over the tribe. Each elder received their favor from the spirit and wore its blue feathers as a testimony that the spirit still guarded the tribe. Since the foxhounds had come to the forest, however, Aina's tribe had begun to doubt whether Ti'uu was still shielding them. If this was so, then they could call themselves the Ti'uu Tribe no more.

"What about your brother?" Aina whispered after a while.

Nhlahla lay wrapped in Aina's arm, her cheek nuzzled against her shoulder. Her eyes fluttered open and she laughed. "Baby Ballo? Uku . . . He need never know."

"And my father? He will find out about us. I . . . can't keep things from him." Aina bit her lip: the older he became, the more it seemed Thandanani was able to read her thoughts.

"Perhaps . . . perhaps your father will accept us," Nhlahla said dully, but it was clear from her hesitant tone that she didn't believe her own words.

Aina knew Nhlahla had every reason not to believe her own words. Females among the tribe were free to do as they pleased, but a princess was supposed to marry a male so that she might produce an heir to the elder bloodline. It was one of many obligations expected of a princess among the red foxes. The Ti'uu Tribe was no different.

Aina looked at her lover, suddenly hating the fact that she was the princess more than ever. She pushed her fingers through Nhlahla's mane, which was white like her brother's. Nhlahla's red fur even had a few white splotches like Ukudlala's. She smoothed her paw over Nhlahla's shoulder, down the dip of her narrow waist and over the rise of her hip. Gods, Nhlahla was beautiful. Her breasts were small and supple. Aina carefully pinched her nipple, which was such a pale pink it was almost white. Nhlahla blushed to her mane. Her face was a white mask against her red fur, and when she blushed, she almost looked like a completely red fox.

"I am lucky indeed," Nhlahla whispered, "to receive the warmth of so lovely and fine a female." Her eyes blinked slowly, happily as they gazed with warm content into those of Aina's. "The princess has given me her first love. You didn't know the joy of being female until tonight. It is my hope that you will know it again with me."

"Again and again," Aina whispered. She pulled Nhlahla close and kissed her tenderly on the lips. She started to pull away, but Nhlahla's hot tongue slipped into her mouth, winding around her tongue, wet and gentle. Aina's lashes fluttered, but she pressed with her own tongue. They were moaning through the kiss when Nhlahla pulled back to whisper, "I love you, Ainanani."

Aina blinked.

"I have always loved you," Nhlahla whispered, eyes glowing.

"Enough to run away with me?"

It was Nhlahla's turn to blink. "What!"

Aina scowled. "My father will never allow this, Nhlah." She glared at the ceiling. Her stubborn father would die first. An heir was more important than love. Or the happiness of the princess.

"You can not run from your tribe," Nhlahla said after a pause. Her voice was firm and almost scolding. "You know this, my princess."

"Don't call me that."

Nhlahla smiled. "You know this, my Aina."

Aina smiled too.

"Do you know what the moral of tonight's story was?" Nhlahla whispered after another pause.

Aina's face darkened. "No. And I don't care." She knew exactly what the point of the story was: her father was trying to curb her curiosity about the hounds. She swallowed hard as she thought of the beautiful hound bathing in the river. She had gone into the forest everyday since, hoping to see her again.

"The dog died because he was greedy," Nhlahla said patiently. "He saw his reflection and wanted more - instead of being happy with what he had." She looked at Aina pointedly.

Aina averted her eyes.

"I agree that we should learn more about the hounds if we are to elude them," Nhlahla said carefully. She looked at Aina unhappily. "But you are putting yourself in direct danger." She touched her face. "I don't know what would happen to me if I lost someone else to those monsters." Her voice trembled.

Aina took Nhlahla's paw and closed her eyes. She hated to see Nhlahla so frightened for her. "I promise," Aina whispered, looking the younger vixen directly in the eye, "that I will stop going into the forest alone. I promise."

"Do you promise to be nicer to Ukudlala?"

Aina's lip curled. "What? Why!"

"M-Maybe it would be best if you just married him --"

"Nhlah!"

Nhlahla winced when the princess sat up, incredulous. She sat up beside her, and her white mane tumbled around her bright, pretty eyes. Eyes that were bright with fear. She closed her paw over Aina's. "I came to you tonight, my princess, hoping to know you in my arms before . . ." She swallowed hard.

Aina went very still. ". . . before what?"

Nhlahla didn't answer. Aina grabbed her shoulders and shook her, shook her until her mane tossed. "Before what! Nhlah --"

"Before Uku married you!" Nhlahla shouted, her face contorting as if the words had leapt out of her. Sudden tears shimmered in her eyes and she began to sob, fiercely and desperately. Still blinking in shock, Aina fumbled to pull Nhlahla into her arms.

"Hush, Nhlah, it's okay . . ."

"No, it's not okay!" Nhlahla sobbed against her. "The one female I love is going to marry my brother --"

Aina held her at arm's length. "How long have you known this?"

"Uku asked your father for you tonight, r-right before the story fire," Nhlahla sniffed. "And your father said yes. Uku came to me so h-happy. I knew it was my one chance to find out if you felt the same . . ." She stared at the sheets that twisted in a rumpled mess over their laps. Her white mane tumbled down in her face, over her breasts, and Aina sadly pushed it back.

"Please stop crying," Aina said miserably.

Nhlahla twisted free of her embrace, fangs flashing and eyes streaming tears. Her face was one of contorted misery as she fled from the bedroom and from the burrow.
