The Runway Fox

Sasha hit the ground with hardly more then a muffled thud. For once she was happy that she was smaller then most female foxes. She had just climbed out of her bedroom window, and out onto the roof of the house. From there she went to a near by tree, the tree was easy to get into thanks to a branch that was lying on the roof. She has done this countless times before. She often has to sneak out, as her parents are really over controlling, and won't let her go out with her friends, go to the movies, go out to eat, or just have fun in general. So she often snuck out to go hang out with her friends, but tonight was different.

Sasha is 17 now. For 17 long years she has put up with her parents controlling her life, but she can't take it anymore. She has decided to run away, to where she does not know, nor does she care. Just as long as it takes her far away from her parents. She has longed for a life of freedom for as long as she can remember. Perhaps not as free as being on her own, but she would rather be on her own in the world then live with her parents for another second.

She took a look around, just to make sure that no one saw her. Even though it was midnight, and her parents were fast asleep, she still had to make sure that no one seen her run into the woods in the back of her house. Once she was certain that the coast was clear, she headed off, her tail slowly swishing back and forth behind her. Sasha looked as most foxes do, but there are two things that set her apart from others. The first being the white strip that runs from the beginning of her snout, up to the middle of her head. Her parent's always told her that it looked cute, but all the other kids in school teased her for it. The second thing being, she was short. Most female foxes are around 5"2, or 5"3, Sasha is 4"9. Again her parents often said that it just made her look adorable, but what do they know. The kids certainly didn't think so, she knew that much. As if the strip wasn't bad enough, she was constantly teased about being short.

That was certainly one thing she wouldn't miss, she thought to her self as she made her way through the woods; stepping over fallen tree's as she went. Thankfully it was a nice night out, quite warm, and not a cloud in the sky. So at least she didn't have to worry about getting rained on tonight. She hadn't thought to bring anything with her, certainly not an umbrella. Oh well, she thought and shrugged, then kept on walking. Nothing she could do about it now, she certainly couldn't go back. She couldn't risk waking her parents, and plus she was about 45 minutes away by now. She wasn't walking all the way back just for one umbrella!

Being a fox meant that she had great night vision, so she was able to go under the short branches, and over the fallen tree's that she came by with little difficulty. Not that she really needed to see in the dark, there was a full moon out and it seemed almost as bright as day. Soon enough she came to a trail cutting through the woods. It didn't seem like it was used much, but she didn't care. A scarcely used trail was better then no trail at all. She looked right, then left and couldn't see anything in either direction. So she shrugged and decided to go to the left. She walked on for about another 3 hours, adding that to the hour that it took to get to the trail she had been walking for about 4 hours now. She was starting to get pretty tired as she continued down the trail. A bit farther up a head she could see a wayward pine, its bottom branches stretching down to the floor, creating a little shelter for her to duck into. Thanks to the thick layer of pine needles on the tree, once she was under the branches she could not be seen.

The tree had shed a nice coating of pine needles on the ground, making a comfy bed for her to curl up on, and that is exactly what she did. She curled up, putting her tail over her face so the light wouldn't wake her up in the morning. After all, it's not like she had to get up for school or something.

She awoke to birds chirping in the tree above her. She sat up and yawned softly, then stretched her self out. She had a goodnights sleep, thanks to the warm night air and the soft bed of pine needles. Her mouth was dry from sleep, so she decided to get up and look for a stream to get some water from. She headed out from the protective layer of pine branches, and began her search for water.

She kept to the trail, so she didn't get lost, and sniffed the air occasionally to see if she scented water near by. After about half an hour of walking, she finally smelled a stream. She headed off to the right of the trail; making sure to take note of certain tree's and bushes so she could find her way back. She even marked a couple trees with her claws just to be sure.

After a couple minutes of walking she came upon a small stream. She thought that it was beautiful; after all, she had never really been out in the woods before. It looked the same as any other, shallow crystal clear water, with a couple fish swimming and splashing around here and there. Since it hadn't rained in a while, when she stepped up to the side of the stream, she was able to get a good look at her self since the water wasn't rushing downstream.

Sasha was a very cute fox, and she knew it. Even though all the kids at school teased her, she could still see the side long glances from the boys, and the jealous looks from the girls. That's probably why the girls teased her as much as she did, she had the best body in school and they were jealous of her. And the guys, well they're just immature and liked teasing her.

She stared at her reflection in the water. She had a very petite figure, she almost looked fragile. Some of the girls at school made the same mistake of thinking that she actually was. She smirked to her self as she admired her body in the water. She had long strait red hair, a very fine, soft coat of red covering her back and the tops of her arms. Her underneath was a creamy white, starting at her neck and going down to cover her chest, stomach, and her inner thighs, along with under her arms. She had very shapely legs, even if she was short, a small waist, and B cup breasts. That was the only thing she didn't liked about her body, she wished that she had bigger breasts. She didn't mind being short or the white mark on her head. She actually liked the white mark, even though it got her teased, she liked being different. She sighed to her self rubbed her black ears, before leaning down and taking a drink of water.

After about 10 minutes of drinking and admiring the stream, she decided to head back to the trail. She knew her parents had found out that she wasn't home anymore, and they were probably looking for her. Even though she was about 4 hours away from home, by foot, she could still be found. Following her marks, and the various tree's she noted she made her way back to the trail. She thought about her friend, Brittany as she walked along the trail. She felt a pang of regret and loneliness at leaving her. Brittany was one of the few friends she had. Through Brittany she became friends with Brittany's cousin, Krystal, and her sister, Jayla. Brittany was the only person that had ever been nice to her since she started school. Brittany was a skunk, she was very pretty, she was tall with shapely legs, a little waist, and D cup breasts that Sasha always envied.

Sasha smiled to her self as she remembered how they met. It was her third day at her new school. Her parents had just moved to Pinecrest, Sasha was 16 at the time. She was used to being teased a little at her old school, but the kids here were much harsher. She was already depressed about having to leave her old home and friends behind; she didn't need these new kids adding to it by teasing her relentlessly. It was lunchtime at school and she was in the cafeteria sitting along at a table, as she usually did.

While she was eating, she noticed a shadow on the table growing larger, meaning that someone was coming closer to her. "Oh great, another girl to tease me." She mumbled under her breath.

Suddenly someone sat down beside her and said, "Hello". Sasha blinked once, a little taken back. She wasn't used to anyone in this school being nice to her. She looked to her right and seen Brittany, at the time she did not know the skunks name. She had seen her a couple times in the hall, but never gave her more then a glance.

"Uh, h-hello." Sasha stammered, as she was a bit flustered and confused as to why this girl was sitting here with her.

The skunk smiled warmly and introduced her self, "I'm Brittany, its nice to meet you."

Sasha made her self smile a little. Although she was hoping that this girl was sincere, it certainly wouldn't be the first time this trick had been pulled. "I'm Sasha. Its, um, nice to meet you too."

The skunk smiled brightly, "I've seen you around school a couple times."

Sasha nodded, "Because of my markings and the kids teasing me no doubt. I've seen you around the halls too."

The skunk frowned slightly, "Because of the markings, yes. But not the kids teasing you. That's one of the reasons I'm here, to thank you for taking the heat off me."

Sasha blinked and stared at the skunk, unsure of what she meant, "I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I don't understand."

The skunk laughed softly, "Well just look at me!"

Sasha did, and for the time she noticed that the skunk had odd markings too. She looked like a normal skunk, but she had some white splotches on the black parts of her coat.

Brittany, having noticed Sasha finally looking at her, smiled. "I used to be you. Teased all the time cause of my coat. It was up till three days ago when you came here."

Sasha nodded her understanding, "Ah, I see. Well, I'm glad I could help you then."

Brittany laughed and grinned, "How about, as payment, I be your friend? We could be ‘The Two Weird Girls of Pinecrest High!' "

Sasha laughed and smiled, "I'd like that."

And it just went from there. They started hanging out at lunch, and in between classes. After a little while Sasha met Brittany's sister and cousin, and they had their own little group.

Sasha wiped a tear from her eye as she walked along the trail; she was really going to miss them. She would miss her parents a little to, but not nearly as much as her friends. Her and Brittany were like sisters, and Brittany's sister and cousin were Sasha's best friends. She sighed, her ears laid back as she walked. Maybe she'd see them again one day, maybe...
