Fifi LaFume is challenged to a martial arts fight with Perfecto Prep's Rhubella Rat. The two start off well enough, but soon, the Perfecto's cheating leads to an uncontrolled tickling or two.

"Paws of Danger"

The clock on the wall read two-forty-nine as Fifi LaFume sat at her desk, staring blankly at the wall. There had been a pop quiz in Professor Fudd's class today and she was one of the first to finish. With twenty minutes to go, Fifi was surprised to see that even Babs was taking her time with the homework. Montgomery Max continued to attempt to glance over the rabbit's shoulder, and each time getting a slap to the back with the flat end of the teacher's ruler as he returned his eyes to the test. Fifi smiled each time; there are some things in life that money can't buy, after all...

The skunkette sighed and leaned back in her chair, picking up a book she had stored in her bag she tried to read the last of her day away, but the blue sky and bright sun outside kept on distracting her. She longed to be outside, she wanted to go for a jog and she enjoyed how radiant the sun seemed to be shining through the window glass. She sighed longingly before getting an elongated "Shhh." from Fudd, which returned her to her book. It wasn't long enough it seemed before the bell rang and everyone started to scramble to get their things together.

"Now, wemember for Monday. To wead Chapter Four of your books on Sight Gags and the Use of Portal Gags. Have a gweat weekend everyone! Huhuhuhuh!."

The goofish laugh from the professor never failed to get laughter in response. Fifi assumed Elmer Fudd thought it was a good thing to be somewhat ridiculed for the laugh as she tucked her books under her arms and started out the door.

"Babs! Babs, Attendez-moi!" She shouted as she swam through the group and caught up to her. "How do you think you did on zat pop quiz?" She asked.

"Oh, I did alright I think." Babs said. "Of course that scummy Max kept on trying to peep over my shoulder."

"You are lucky. No one ever thinks of me as zee one who's worth cheating over."

"Trust me, Feef. That's a good thing." Babs said as they approached their lockers, which were side by side. "So, you going to the party at Hampton's tonight?"

"'amton is throwing a party?" Fifi asked confused.

"Yeah of course! It's going to be the hot spot of the night." She whirled around, donning a small moustache like Groucho Marx. "Of course he doesn't know it yet."

Fifi smiled as she pulled a dark blue jacket from her locker. "I'd love to, but I 'ave practice tonight, zen I think I'll get started on my 'omework." She giggled. "I like to 'ave my Saturdays free."

"I was gonna say, you're not always so gung-ho about your homework." Babs teased.

The explosion out of the Looniversity was less explosive than usual as Fifi followed far behind. Her nose was in a book, which was rare to the skunk, but she was mentally perfecting martial arts techniques. Her finger progressed down the page as she read over the steps as she mentally tried to keep herself from making a physical strike. Something out of the corner of her eye made Fifi gasp and she bumped head-long into another pedestrian.

"Oh! Excusez-moi! I should 'ave been paying attention!" She apologized before looking up. "Oh... it is you. Une telle honte..." She glared.

Rhubella Rat was still in the middle of glaring back at the skunkette. The Perfecto Prep student was a little more than a bully. Her tan brown fur was tied back in a ponytail and her eyes flashed with the color of purple eye shade as she slowly blinked at Fifi. "Ohhhh Fifi! I was wondering what smelled so..." She inhaled sharply, then feigned a gagging cough. "So pungent." She let out her trademark nasal laugh as Fifi grit her teeth and scowled angrily at the other girl.

"I apologize, Rhubella. I should 'ave seen you. I 'eard a rumor zat your butt is a landmark for spacecraft to know what continent zey are looking at, I'm surprised I was able to sneak up on you."

"Well, that's not a very nice thing to say." She said, flicking the skunk's nose then laughing. "So what's this?" She snagged Fifi's book and was glancing through it. "Ohhhh I see. "Advanced Judo Techniques." She teased. "I think they left the 'For Dummies' part out of the title."

"lourdaud..." She winced angrily. "I don't expect you to understand the subtle art of fighting. So if you'll excuse me..."

"I don't think I want to let you get off that easily." Rhubella said, placing her palm on Fifi's forehead, preventing her from walking on. "You've offended me, and now you need to pay for it."

"I 'ave offended you?" Fifi scoffed. "No no no. You see, you started zis." Fifi said, snapping the book shut with a small burst of air that flipped her hair back momentarily. "And you will apologize for it."

"How cute! Ha ha! You think you're being cute right now, don't you Fifi? I could wipe the floor with you.

"With a mouth as big as yours, I would be surprised you could fight without tripping over your tongue."

"GRR!" Rhubella lost it at first, grabbing Fifi by the jacket and pulling her in close. "Alright, Miss Know-it-all. Let's see if your actions are as big as your words."

"What did you 'ave in mind?" Fifi responded smugly, unflinching.

"Well. I hardly expect you to have the kind of skills to keep up with me. After all I have three black belts in karate, jujitsu, and taejitsu. What do you have, kung fu training, and this silly book on Judo? Ahah..." Rhubella said, putting a hand on her chest as if covering her heart with it. "But if you'd like to try, meet me at midnight tonight. At Fifth and Main; the halfway point between Acme Loo and Perfecto Prep. Just us girls, no friends, no backup. And we see who's the strongest woman eh?"

"Oh don't worry about me. We shall meet zis evening then 'madame pute' and we shall see who the strongest fighter truly is." With a puff of air escaping from her nose, she turned her head up and shoved the rat out of the way before continuing on her way home.

Rhubella didn't bother trying to stop Fifi as she walked away. She grinned a bit, she knew that she had the skunkette right where she wanted her. Turning her own direction toward home, she lifted her backpack up onto her shoulder and started to walk. "Oh we'll see who's the strongest, Fifi." She said. "And when I do, you'll be laughing that cute fuzzy tail of yours right off. Ahhh-hah..." She gave off her nasally laugh as she walked.

Fifi was fuming by the time she reached her house, muttering curse words under her breath, she stomped into her bedroom and flung her backpack on the bed as she slipped her jacket off and sat on the stool in front of her extravagant mirror. The light bulbs that surrounded the mirror shined across her entire face and chest as she rifled through her drawers. She wasn't about to be taken out by that silly Perfecto Prep girl, she wasn't about to give in to being bullied by her, and there was no way she was going to be beaten by her in a fight. She dragged the eyeliner along her lashes, curling them up before reapplying the makeup to her eyelids and replacing the bow in her hair with a fresh one. "After all, zis girl's got a reputation to keep up." She mentioned aloud without anything to prompt her but her thoughts. She sighed as she finished the curling of her lashes and added a bit of powder to her cheeks to improve her complexion.

Pulling a drawer open on the top of her chest of drawers, she pulled out three seemingly harmless balls and tossed them onto the bed. She pulled her hair back for a moment out of her eyes to affix her dark bow to her hair. Releasing it, she got up from her dressing table and threw open her closet. She acquired everything she needed and let it fall haphazardly onto her bed. After gathering everything she needed, she began to get dressed;

Fifi pulled on a black pair of cargo pants on first; the trousers were somewhat baggy, but had elastic cuffs to keep them from slipping down past her feet. She straightened the elastic out at her shins, then deposited the small balls into one of the several pockets. She then pulled up her bed mattress and pulled out a few throwing stars as well; there was no telling if a girl was going to need to defend herself, after all. Taking the gloves off of her bed, she put them on; they were fingerless black gloves, which allowed her to maintain solid grips and to easily handle her weapons. Testing each one as she put them on, she snapped the tips of her fingers and smiled coyly as she did so. Next up was her jacket; a dark blue jacket that she had worn that day during school, it had a fabric neck that almost covered hers completely and elastic bands around each of her wrists which fit nicely over the ends of her gloves. She tossed her hair gently from the confines of the jacket as she zipped it up, then tucked it into her pants to give her a bit less resistance to her mobility. Lastly, she took a brown leather belt from the bed and tightened it around her waist. Hardly thinking, she performed a sideways flip, landing lightly on her bare feet as she mentally noted that her outfit was now complete. She pulled her book out of her backpack on studying Judo and began to leaf through it until she reached the chapter she had left off on and began to read. She would need all the help she could to guarantee Rhubella's defeat. In all likeliness, the rat was doing the exact same thing at the exact same moment.

"Oh come on Rhubella! It'll be great!" Roderick Rat said, throwing his hands out in exclamation. "Buster and Babs are hosting a party over at that lame-o Hampton Pig's house tonight! It's going to be the perfect opportunity to show those Loony-losers exactly what Prepto Prep is made of!"

Rhubella was in the middle of her favorite iced coffee. It had a raspberry flavor in it and whipped cream piled high enough to almost touch her nose as she sipped it through the straw. She'd thought going out to the mall would be a good idea and that she and Roddy could talk alone about her plans of finally beating up Fifi, but all he could find the time to do was proclaim how good they were going to get the rest of the Looniversity losers, and wasn't giving her much of a chance to speak. "I'm going to have to pass tonight." She said. "Like I said, I've got my own score to settle."

"Aww, but Rhuby, you gotta come!" Roderick complained. "You sure your little fight can't just wait until tomorrow night?"

"Sure. I'll just call my rival and ask her to put a raincheck on tonight, and that we'll do lunch soon."

"That's the spirit!"

Rhubella's eyes rolled as she looked up. "I was being sarcastic, Roderick." She sighed loudly. "I'm not going to give up a battle with Fifi so you and the rest of the frat pack can show me something that'll be the most undoubtedly lame failure you always deliver when you try to prank those kids from the Looniversity."

"But, Rhubella..."

"We're done here!" Rhubella shouted as she scooted herself away from the table and stood up. "You can do whatever you want, but nothing's going to keep me from my appointment."

"Well, where are you going?" Roderick asked. "Maybe I could come out and cheer you on."

"I'm going home." She snapped, snatching the coffee off the table. "I'll call you tomorrow, maybe you'll be more matured by then." She said as she stormed away in frustration.

"Hey! Rhubella!" Roderick called after the female rat, who curiously turned to face him and he stuck both thumbs up into the air. "Good luck! I hope you kick her butt!"

Rhubella couldn't help but smile at that, but she quickly turned around to avoid him seeing. Roderick was sweet in his own way, and a true man of Perfecto Prep. But sometimes the antics he came up with were just so childish that it frustrated Rhubella to no end.

It had already gotten dark by the time Rhubella made it to the park. Her home was just on the other side of it and she took the shortcut pretty frequently; frequently enough to note that anyone who meant to do harm to anyone else innocently walking through the woods took off running as soon as they realized who they would be trying to mug. She made it out quickly and tossed her empty drink cup into a garbage can before crossing the street and entering her front door. The house was small and quaint inside, after discarding her backpack and books on the dining room table, Rhubella took a can of juice and marched into her bedroom. She took a swig out of it, placing it on a desk beside her bed. Crouching down, she pulled a drawer hidden under her bed and opened it, revealing an array of weapons and clothes. She tossed the clothes on her bed as she began to strip down.

Rhubella put her jacket on first; a dark gray jacket with elastic wrists. Taking a pair of black cargo pants from the bed, she slipped into them next, pulling them up over the waist of the jacket, Rhubella felt the elastic bands around her shins tighten just about three-quarters of the way up, with a little assistance from her bare feet she was able to pull the bands down closer to her ankles. Taking a brown leather belt from her nightstand she pulled her outfit together with it. Lastly she put on a pair of fingerless black gloves, sliding her hands into them gently and tucking them under the cuffs of her jacket. Taking a small black scrunchie, she pulled her hair back into a ponytail and tied it up with it. To test her outfit, she jumped back, springing off of her hands in a perfectly balanced back flip, landing just shy of the door. "Huh. I'll show that ametuer." She scoffed confidently as she walked out of the room.

The park extended throughout most of Acme Acres, areas around Perfecto Prep and Acme had virtually no forestland while the remainder of the parks extended off into the surrounding forest that encompassed all of the town. Fifth and Main was mostly parkland, one of the last strips directly at the halfway point between the two rival schools. It was the perfect cover for Fifi who had slipped in quickly as she jogged through the dark street enroute to the park. Once she crossed the street and entered the park, everything seemed silent to her though; even the wind blowing through the trees was enough to send a light squeak from the swingset over on the children's park as she stepped out into the open area. Fifi's hands slid up her arms some, it was a cooler night than she expected. She was surprised that there was no fog on her breath.

"HAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIII-YAH!" A cry echoing from the trees above the skunkette made her jump back as she narrowly avoided a strike from Rhubella's bare paw. Fifi did a backwards cartwheel to try and distance herself from the rat as she quickly threw up her defensive stance and blocked another confident strike from Rhubella's kick; a reverse roundhouse nearly caught her off guard, but Fifi quickly introduced a strong chop of her hand, knocking her rival back.

"Impatient to lose? Aw, I'm sorry." Fifi pouted as she readied an attack. "Yah!" She charged in next, delivering a series of quick blows, which Rhubella successfully blocked. A sweep nearly sent the rat down to the ground, but she rolled away, barely being scathed by the attempt.

"Yah! HA!" Rhubella's turn. She came in with a front kick, then a side kick, which Fifi quickly ducked under and tried to kick her opponent away. Rhubella rebounded and jumped back with a handspring, landing a few yards away.

Both were hardly breathing heavily still. Rhubella took advantage of the brief pause in the fighting, she charged forward, performing a cartwheel, then propelling herself into a flying kick. "Nnngh!" Fifi grunted as she took the force of the blow and slid back a few feet. Rhubella cried out as she hooked her arms under Fifi's and threw herself back. With a strong kick to Fifi's abdomen, Rhubella launched her into the air, away from the fight. Fifi quickly adjusted herself midair and jumped off the trunk of a tree she was flying toward. She hit the ground and ran back the other direction. Rhubella stood ready for the attack and brought her arms up for whatever Fifi had coming for her. "Ha!" Fifi cried as she jumped, only a foot or so from her target. Grabbing Rhubella by the shoulders, the skunk somersaulted over her opponent, she landed on the other side and swept her leg again. Rhubella felt her knees fold under her and she crashed down to the ground. Bringing a foot down, Fifi found her strike blocked as Rhubella crossed her arms over her head and caught the foot. She twisted, knocking Fifi off balance and sending her to the ground. Fifi rolled away as Rhubella recovered. She stood up, breathing hard now. "Hya!" Rhubella was quick to block a strike on her face by Fifi's foot and she pushed the other female away.

Both girls jumped forward, each using a high kick that cancelled the other one out, Rhubella pulled Fifi in so closely that they nearly bumped heads. Scowling, Rhubella brought her knee up and managed to kick Fifi in the abdomen. Fifi grunted, but couldn't move her arms or break free of the rat's steady grasp. "Not bad." Rhubella said with a grin. "But I'm better!"

"Joo people from Perfecto Prep aren't winners. You're cheaters! You make me sick!" Fifi responded as she tucked her arms in, then thrust her chest against Rhubella's own, bouncing her back. Just enough room; Fifi ducked and sprang herself back on one hand, delivering a fierce blow to Rhubella's chin as she bounced away. Rhubella recovered and glared, coming after Fifi with an outraged roar, the women continued to battle. "Ha! Hi-YAH!" She shouted as she swung her fist in a chopping motion, which was blocked. Rhubella grabbed Fifi's arm, but Fifi gained the upperhand but turning the grab into an opportunity to throw her rival, flinging her quickly over her shoulder and onto the ground.

"AHH!" Rhubella cried out, but then kicked up to knock Fifi away before spinning across the ground and leaping back to her feet, returning to a standing position. The two continued to spar as they moved further and further into the park.

"This is ridiculous! You know you will never win, Rhubella!" Fifi exclaimed as they battled. Narrowly ducking back to avoid a kick from the rat.

"What do you keep on telling me that for?" She grinned in response. "You afraid you're going to lose?"

"Oh please! Look at you!" Fifi replied, blocking another kick from Rhubella then returning to try and sweep the rat, who avoided the strike easily. "You are already exhausted. I will be the victor, and you will 'ave to tell Perfecto Prep that you are un perdant."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Rhubella paused in confusion

Quickly, Fifi gained the upper hand by kicking high and knocking the rat off her feet, sending her to the ground. "A loser." She said, brushing her hair from over her eyes.

"You might be right. But we're too evenly matched to really judge... but I am something that Perfecto Prep prides on."

"Eh? What is that?"

Rhubella grinned. "A cheater."

Fifi barely saw the pellets fly from Rhubella's hand, as they struck the concrete under her paws, they went off, suddenly flooding the entire area in a brilliant light. The light shot through Fifi's eyes and she cried out, suddenly blinded by it. As she groped her hands around, feeling nothing under her feet, she felt a quick blow of a leg under her ankles, striking her in the front and sending her falling forward onto the ground. She'd managed to avoid hitting her face, but her head hit hard and the entire world around her went dizzy.

It only felt like a few seconds, but Fifi slowly came around and realized her eyes were working again. Shocked that suddenly her arms were tied behind her back and her legs were tied together, leaving her exposed feet open to the cool air, she tried to move and realized that she couldn't. There was a soft laughter and Fifi looked up to see Rhubella sitting on a tree branch above her. "Well, it's about time you woke up. It took you like twenty minutes."

"You are right. You are a dirty, rotten cheat!" Fifi admitted. "But what is this? Why do you have me tied up?"

"Well, let's just say that this is a little... revenge." Rhubella said as she pulled a long feather from her back belt loop. It looked like a clay colored red, like a hawk's feather, the tip was a lighter burned tan color, but it was the longest thing she'd ever seen.

"And what do you 'ope to do with that?"

Rhubella grunted as she hopped down from the tree, landing beside the skunk. "Oh, I think you know what this is for." She grabbed Fifi's legs. They were bound at both the knees and at the ankles, preventing the skunk from kicking them in objection as the rat slowly dragged the feather along the bare bottom of Fifi's feet.

"AHH! Hehehe! Stop 'zat!" She squealed in anger, unable to hide the giggle that her ticklish spot gave her. "StOOOoop! AHAHAHA!" She laughed harder as the feather quickly brushed across a wider range of her feet, tickling up between her toes now and back down to her heel as she struggled against it.

"Not until you say 'uncle'." Rhubella teased as she continued, now working on the other foot.

Fifi's eyes were watering now, which surprised even her tormentor. "AHAHA! AHH! NEVER!" She screamed in laughter. "You will not get me to say 'any' member of my fam-FAM-AHHAHA-FAMILY you witch!"

It was time for Rhubella to change the pace a little bit. She seated herself in front of Fifi, tugging the skunk's legs into her lap and she began to grin herself as she continued to torment the skunk through tickling. Fifi's laughter was echoing, but Rhubella didn't care. All of their friends were over at Hampton's tonight; either partying, or getting ready to crash or sabotage the party, so Fifi's lungs could get a good workout if she wanted. "Come on, come on! Give in!" She growled as she pressed the feather in harder.

Meanwhile, Fifi's fits of laughter were shaking her so much that she noticed a slight give in the ropes holding her arms behind her. She quickly worked with them, twisting against the loosened feeling as she made the ropes start to strain themselves. She just needed one more good twist. "AHHHHAHAHAHA!" She screamed in laughter, twisting as she laughed, and she felt the ropes come free. "Wai'wai'wait, Rhubella! I want to say-I want to say..." She panted heavily as the rat finally lightened up on the tickling.

"What is it you wanted to say?"

"You 'ave some crappy knots." Fifi said, suddenly going straight faced and pulling a small pellet from her pocket.

Throwing it to the ground, there was a loud pop and the ground suddenly covered in smoke. As it rose, Rhubella now found herself spinning around, blinded by the fog. She grunted as she felt the weight of an attacker come from behind her and throw her to the ground. She screamed in anger as Fifi worked quickly to tie the rat's arms behind her back. Once they were bound tight, Fifi rolled off into the smoke, only to return a few seconds later to tie the ropes from around her legs around Rhubella's instead. By the time the smoke cleared the immediate area, the girls were on the opposite sides; Rhubella tied up and on the ground, while Fifi, with one arm around Rhubella's legs lifted the feather that tormented her and grinned teasingly. "No, Fifi. Let's not get carried away..." Rhubella whimpered as the feather came close to her feet.

"No... let's." Fifi answered with a grin before beginning her own tickling session on Rhubella's feet.

"AHH! NO!" She screamed. "AHHH HAHAHAH!" She laughed heartily as she tried to struggle against the bindings. "LET ME G-GAHAHAHA!" She screamed and giggled uproariously as she rolled back and found she was completely unable to move. It seemed that Fifi's own knot-handywork. "AHH!" She felt the feather glide over a more sensitive area of her feet, the feather sliding in between her wriggling toes. "OH GOD! Fifi! Not there! Please not there!" She laughed loudly as tears streamed down her face. "AHAHAHAHA!" She crunched her stomach tighter and tighter with each passing of the feather. Fifi's firm grip kept her legs in check though and she knew she couldn't escape.

"NOOoOoOOOO! Fifi! I gi-I gi-"

"What was zat? What are you saying to Fifi?" The skunkette teased.

"OH GODS! UNCLE! UNCLE! I GIVE UP! AHAHAHAHAHA! Just sto-stop tickling me!"

Fifi grinned as she dragged the feather slowly down the length of Rhubella's feet, finally pulling the feather away. "Zat is all I wanted to 'ear." She said as she thrust Rhubella's feet aside and stood up. "Be seeing you around, Rhubella." She saluted then turned toward the wall of smoke.

"Wa-wait!" Rhubella cried as Fifi somersaulted away, disappearing through the cloud of smoke and leaving her tied up. As the smoke cleared, Rhubella panicked a bit, realizing she was now alone and the dark of the woods made her laughter return, this time though it was more out of nervousness than an involuntary use of her feather, which made her jump as the wind brushed it up against her. "Hello?" She asked, hearing her voice echo in the dark. "Helloooooo?!"
