Making a Choice

Chapter 2: Sorting Things Out ~ (Part 2/4) ~ Episode 6

The Decision

George and Nick were sitting in bed, both of them tired and slightly dazed. Both of them were nude, sitting beside each other, thinking back on last night. They were about to make a decision.

Nick blushed, sighed, looking over at George, "So... last night..."

George smiled softly, blushing, looking over to Nick, "...what about it?"

Nick shrugged, "Did you have fun?"

George chuckled, seeming almost instantly awake, "Of course I did! I've been dreaming of that happening since we were kids." he said, sitting up straight and resting his paws onto his belly as it groaned in hunger, "I mean, never have I felt so... so good before, in my whole life... It was the best night I could ever have." he said, kissing Nick's cheek.

Nick blushed, going to kiss him back, but instead both of them starting kissing each other, moaning softly, both of them eventually letting out, Nick spoke, "...are we going to keep this up? I mean, should we actually get in a relationship? Or just imagine this all never happened?"

George looked at him confused, "Excuse me? But I think we both know the answer."

Nick smiled brightly, "...yeah. We do."

and they both continued kissing, Nick resting a paw onto George's belly and began to rub it, making him murr, both of them falling onto their sides and cuddling against each other, hugging and wrapping their arms around each other. They obviously would never let this go. Their relationship was finally born, after so long of doubting it'd actually happen.

Connor

The wolf began getting dressed, finished preparing, and rode a bus over to the library. Once he arrived, he saw his boss, a cheetah named Kiseki, slumping over the information desk, Connor moved towards him, "Hey, K.! What's wrong?" the cat could only move his head downwards, hiding his face, exhaling deeply, Connor moved in front of him and pet his head, calling him by the nickname he enjoyed being called by, "Kitty? What's wrong? Are you alright?"

The cat slowly looked up at him, "...I just..."

Connor sighed, understanding the situation, "...the library?"

Kiseki nodded his head, "What else would I be worried about? I... this library... I love it so much..."

Connor pat his back, "Don't worry... We'll find a way. I know it."

Kiseki sighed, sitting up, "Look, I'm out of ideas on how to keep this library open. I don't think we can save it from being closed down..."

Connor started to seem more disappointed, "We'll find a way!"

Kiseki raised his voice a bit, "If you think there's a way, then I'm depending on you to save this library!"

Only two people looked back at him in disturbance, one of them already leaving in the first place. Connor quickly moving towards the visitor, who was a male squirrel, taking a small step back, Connor sighed, "What is it about this place that nobody want's to be here? Do you have a clue?"

The squirrel shook his head, "I'm sorry, but no. I mean, I sort of enjoy this place, it's small, and cozy, but I do feel some sort of presence, that this place needs more to it."

"Does it need to be bigger? Do we need more books?" Connor asked in a small panic.

The squirrel looked at him in surprise, "Bigger? No. More books? Likely, yes. Whenever I visit you never seem to have anything new on the shelves. I'd like to see some more books out here, maybe some books the public have been talking about recently, like that new book... what was it called... that one written by Nick Williams?"

Connor was in shock to hear this, but answered his question by pulling something out of his backpack, "You mean this one?" what he showed him was a copy he got from Nick the night of the party. Everyone got a free copy. "This one? Daniel's Hideout: Chapter I?"

The squirrel smiled, gazing at it, "Oh yeah! Yes, that one! I heard it's a hit in book stores!" he said, looking back up at the wolf, "I'm aware of your situation with the library closing down and stuff, I'd hate to see it go away. I say, get more copies of this and feature it here. It'd get a lot of attention, for sure."

Connor grinned, the squirrel was absolutely right, "Yes! Yes yes yes! Thank you!" he said, hugging the squirrel in excitement. The squirrel steadily hugged back, "Uhmm, yeah!" he laughed, "Your welcome!"

That night, he was going to call Nick one more time.
