The Lycanthrope Tails

Chapter Four

By Roofles

Jared was still convinced he was either dreaming, was stoned off his balls or had been slipped something far stronger as the large head of the werewolf rested still on the throw pillow. Jared had done what he could for Dakota's leg from what Tess had taught him. She could be a drill sergeant and for once Jared was thankful for that. He was able to change the bandage that had been soaked with blood after Dakota's forced changes. Jared had the chance to clean the wound enough to apply the next bandage to it, somewhat glad he did as the wound itself needed far more internal treatment.

Jared was shocked to see that the gaping hole in the wolves side was nearly half the size as it had been before. Maybe slightly larger. It was remarkable how the flesh had stitched itself back together around the edges of the wound where it had looked as if fire burnt it to nothing more than a charred crisp. Jared had seen burn victims from fires and it had looked much the same. It was a remarkable change to see the difference as if a new skin had been grafted on. The blood wasn't as thick as before, where it had been sludge before it now resembled a watery substance and all Jared had needed to do was a quarter of the amount of work it had taken Tess the other night. Cover the wound, and make sure the bandage held with applied pressure tying the knot over it. He drained the leg of excessive by turning it to the side much to the growling protest of Dakota.

After that Jared had been more than happy to cover the beast with a blanket off his bed, something Dakota seemed to greatly appreciate as he wrapped it around himself. The second Jared had laid it over him the sleeping wolf-man, Dakota had reached out to grab onto his leg. Snagging his ankle in his tight grip.

Dakota wasn't a wolf nor a man but something between. Still covered in that thick russet red fur, his limbs had elongated and body increased in mass. His heels had rose, snapping as they formed from a humans into that of an animal. Like his feet, his hands were covered in fur but his toes had evened out and twisted into fingers instead and he even had an opposable thumbs. Warm leather pads had formed on each one of those finger tips and the palm as well; Jared knew this from the hand still holding his ankle. Those pads were rough, leathery and warm to the touch.

Jared could only take a seat where he stood seeing as how no matter how hard he tried Dakota wouldn't let him go. It was even harder to try and communicate with the sleeping werewolf now than it had been before. That and Dakota was beginning to snore, his muzzle just a couple of inches away from Jared's leg.

Other than his head, and being covered in fur, Dakota otherwise resembled a humanoid form. Jared was more than comfortably aware of this as his leg was dragged closer and even grabbing at the carpet found his whole thigh being held by the sleeping wolf man. Jared patted himself on the back for having the mind to put his boxer briefs on as that muzzle moved off the pillow and up onto his lap.

Dakota wrapped his other arm behind Jared and tightened his grip on him. Jared ended up just turning the tv on, thankful the remote was within reach, and flipped through the channels trying not to focus on the werewolf in his lap. He'd just ride this out until he woke up, this high, that's all. It felt too real, even the sound alone of Dakota snoring and the smell of his musky fur. It left even a slightly waxy film on his hand as he pet the side of Dakota's face more of habit for the stray dog's Tess had brought home than actually meaning too.

The wolf whimpered at the gesture, moving closer and grabbing his side a bit harder. Jared grunted as he was roughly pulled closer and that had flopped up onto his lap, sucking in his gut as that muzzle rubbed over his bulge.

"Easy there," Jared just muttered to his own hallucination. "Going to rip my side off if you keep that up." Dakota ears folded back at his voice and the wolf relaxed once more, holding onto his thigh now and pushing his head up against Jared's stomach. "At least your nice and warm." Jared muttered resting back, closing his eyes and hoping to maybe a nap would sleep this all off. He'd wake up and there would be no naked wolf-man in his lap. One can only dream though...

Elsewhere on the other side of town, bunking in a nameless inn Benjamin was already putting his black suit back on. It didn't take anymore effort with one hand but it took twice as long to make sure everything was neat and prim. He had to use his teeth to put his glove on before grabbing the heavy overcoat next to the door, checking to see if the side arms were still safely inside.

"We're heading out." Ben called back inside the single room suite he had rented using untraceable bills. They didn't even have finger prints on them. A perfect counterfeit that could easily blend into the populace unnoticeable by the average man.

"About time." The bathroom door opened up and Mary walked out. Steam still wafting out of the bathroom as she headed over to join him. She was lean, fit but her skin clung to her bones and the bags under her eyes had increased into dark stains. Evenly freshly washed her hair had lost its luster and draped over the side of her face. "I've been waiting all night."

"Mary." Benjamin said lifting up his hand. "I think you should get some sleep, at least a couple of hours."

"No. We have no time for such luxury as it is!" She growled shoving past him and out the door. "No rest for the wicked. So I can't either." And in one hand she clung to the twisted, smokey gray dagger. Her knuckles were white as they clenched it, her whole fist shaking slightly. "Austin, Beatrix, Daniel, Joseph, Adam, Susan..." She muttered off names looking out over the parking lot before turning back to him. "Have you forgotten about them? We rested, we took our time... and know they are dead!" And her one good eye soften as if she were about to cry. A fire soon sparked inside of it drying out any tears that might have formed. "The longer we wait more lives will be lost. I cannot... cannot let that happen... For all they have done to us." And unaware, she reached up to touch the scared side of her face. "For the innocent they have taken to sate their hunger. Or... their amusement." And she just kept that hand over one side of her face.

"Of course," Benjamin nodded. "I will never forget those we lost. Of the innocent that were taken from us. Until the very last one of these beasts are put down, I will never truly rest." And he bowed his head. "But where shall we start? We lost track of the beast in the woods." And his voice was somber as he looked at the partner he had been assigned with.

"It managed to give us a slip." And Mary bit one of her fingers, hard enough to draw blood as she thought that over. "We'll have to use other means in order to lure him out."

"Such as?" Benjamin inquired as he opened his car. It'd be too conspicuous to drive a truck around town with a harpoon gun mounted into the back. So he had rented out an older black Volkswagen that reminded him of home.

"Plan A, first." Mary just said kicking her feet up onto the dashboard and resting back as if to sleep but Benjamin could see the thoughts racing behind her closed eye. At one time she truly had been a breathtakingly gorgeous person. There were laugh lines around her mouth; Ben hadn't seen her truly smile once since he began working with her however.

"Of course." Ben nodded pulling out into traffic. "Back to home base then for now?"

"Yup."

"It's unreliable." Ben just said as he drove down Main street. "Plan A. It always works in the beginning..."

"Of course," And Mary giggled a bit at that, half her face twisting into a smile. "But it's fun. It's so much fun." And she laughed more, biting her finger again and trying to contain her excitement on the matter.

"And if it fails?" Ben asked looking over at her. His face fell for a second seeing the look on hers. When they got back he'd brew up some coffee.

"We always have the contingency plan." Mary just smiled looking off to the side daydreaming of what she was going to do. She bit her bottom lip, looking particularly sensual as she fantasized about it.

"Should we contact Haven first?" Benjamin asked but didn't even get through the sentence before Mary bolted up right, reaching over to stop him as if he could use his phone and drive at the same time.

"No! No, no, no! If they found out they might interfere." And she stopped herself, taking a slow breath. "We got this." And placed a hand on his thick arm. "This is just a minor setback, is all. We'll make sure to take care of everything and by the end of the week, Haven will have a new werewolf skin rug." And she smiled at that the very idea, toying with the knife at her side contained in a special leather sheath made just for it. Both of them knew what she was talking about, who the one skinning the wolf would be. And she couldn't help but tease the tip of the knife at her side.

They drove in silence after that, only the sound of the soft radio playing broken every now and then by another sadistic giggle from Bloody Mary as she wiped the milky blonde hair off the good side of her face. Another strand just fell back into place.

Off one of the central roads, leading down a path uncommonly used due to the poor condition it was in, sat a small opening amongst the trees. A place commonly used for people to let others pass by or to turn around in. Filling up the whole space was an Rv that was too large to get into any ordinary, conventional gas station with a roof. It appeared to be normal on the outside but the two knew it had been modified with enough steel plating that it could take a ram from a bull elephant and only have a small dent on its hull.

Ben took the keys out, using an oddly jagged long silver one to undo the lock. The door opened and steps lowered down for them to enter.

Computers lined one side of the wall, filled with screens above it that hummed and beeped softly with maps, coordinates and cross hairs centering and focusing on various places all over the United States, Canada and Mexico. The lights turned on as they entered and even before Ben took a step inside a red light washed over him, scanning his body.

"Facial recognition acknowledged. No foreign bodies detected. Human." An artificial voice said as Benjamin entered. It did the same for Mary, the scan sweeping over her side several times at the dagger. Before that light became like a red laser pen pointer on it.

"Unknown, bio hazard detected. Proceeding with lock down..." The computer began.

"Override sequence Two Oh Seven Four. Codename Gentle Ben." Benjamin said stopping the whole vehicle from locking itself down. "You really should keep that thing in it's case." He added looking back at Mary who had taken the dagger out. She slipped it back into the leather casing, strange symbols glowing softly on the outside of it.

"It's thirsty." She smiled skipping past him and into the back of the RV where the beds were normally kept. Instead there was a large empty space with a metal door in front of it. She typed in the pass code on a side panel, letting it scan her hand and eye before taking a piece of hair from her head and sliding it into a compartment. The door opened up only after every step was completed.

A rancid smell hit their noses as a putrid stench of rot and decay filled the RV.

"I'll open some windows, don't take too long this time." Benjamin said as he headed to the front.

"I won't be too long." And Mary stepped inside, the door shutting behind her.

The ground was metal, like the walls and ceiling. The only light was from a dim bulb in the corner that flickered on and off barely illuminating the form of a large wolf resting on it's side on the far wall. Or at one time it might have been. It's thick hide hung loose off it's shoulders and arms, the rib cage could be clearly seen and made out on it's chest. One eye was bruised over and both it's ears had been cut up bad. Cuts and scars were all over it's body and large nails had been hammered into it's paws. It's own nails had been peeled off each finger, with the exception of the dewclaw. Chains shackled it's ankles, biting at the flesh underneath. Cold iron chains dangled above connecting to the reversed spike collar around it's neck, making choke chains look humane.

"Good morning, sunshine." Mary laughed pulling the knife from her side. "I have a few more questions to ask you." And she spun the blade around.

And with dull blue eyes the wolf looked up at her.

"Maybe if you're good this time. I'll put you out of your misery." And with that she began her interrogation. "Let's start simple. What's your name?"

The silver fur wolf just looked at her. His fur was a darker silver that shone even in the dim light. It had once been luxurious to the touch and now was matted to parts of his skin where the blood had dried from countless wounds. This fur was a gift and a curse as it was the very reason why he had been found, reflecting light was not always such a good thing.

"Come now," and she smiled crouching down in front of him. She reached over and opened up it's good eye. "Your tongue grew back after the last time I cut it off." And she smiled. "So we both know you can talk. Or does your kind not even value a name? Fucking animals..."

It just looked at her before it's whole body groaned a sigh and just stopped looking at anything as it rested it's head back on its legs.

"Not much of a talker?" Mary spoke in a baby voice, pouting her lower lip out before laughing and grabbing, twisting it's ear. "You were so loud before! You just wouldn't stop." And it snarled at the pain as she twisted it. "On and on you went about Alpha and how it would come to save you. Your pack," and she hissed the word into his ear. "Abandoned you.

"Left you to rot and die here!" And she laughed standing up and turning away from him. She covered her mouth. "Filthy beast. Soiled yourself, sitting in your own waste. Covered in bed sores, muscles atrophying. And just look at that pelt!" And she grabbed a good hand full of it, pulling on it. The wolf barely budged. "It was so...luxurious? Who would want it now!" And she let go of the matted fur, shaking her hand off of the large clump of fur that came off with it. "Disgusting." And she kicked it's side. The wolf grunted but did little else. "Have to wash my hands now... filthy, filthy..." And she sighed, shaking her head as her tone soften. "Just help me, help you." And Mary bent back down almost at face level now, folding her hands over her bent knees. "Tell me where they are and I'll end your suffering. Promise.... this time." And she couldn't help the smile at the end.

The wolf didn't even look at her, just shifted it's weight enough to move over a half inch. The shackles bit at his ankles and the nails sunk further inside his paws. All he could do was slump his head against the side wall and do nothing more.

"Mongrel...." Mary growled standing up and twisting the knife in her hand bringing it up, glad she could finally do this to this thing. So many lives, so many deaths... And now they would be avenged!.. Just as the door behind her opened up.

"Mary, you have a telephone call." Benjamin said. He had a split bowl in one hand. Water on one side, food on the other.

"Lucky this time," Mary said wiping the strands of hair out of the good side of her face. And with a final booted kick, left the "mongrel to rot."

Ben moved aside as she left. "I'm sorry about her." He spoke only after the door shut. "Your kind holds a special... kind of hatred in her heart." And he set the bowl of food down in front of it, taking the previous one left. It hadn't been touched and he doubted this one would be too. "Once this is done, we'll set you free from your curse." And he stood back up heading to leave.

"If you think you can beat the pack when you can't even control your own..." The wolf opened it's dull blue eyes to look at the man.

"Funny." Ben said looking back at him and he smiled in amusement. "I wasn't the one who sold out my own." And with a goodbye the man left the wolf to rot in his own betrayal...

The day had passed by mostly in peace as Jared rested back against the armchair, watching tv and wishing he had his phone. Then again he wasn't sure what he would text. Not like anyone would believe there was a werewolf sleeping on his lap. Or hugging at him. Or rubbing a whiskered muzzle against his naked chest.

"No." Jared just told himself. He was tripping, that's all this was. He had done some hard stuff when he first entered college and it was just the same. This was some random dude in a werewolf costume, that was all. His mind just rationalized. His brain going into overdrive to force this into perspective despite what everything else was telling him. Drugs could easily trick the senses. And that's all this was. "Just a naked stranger in my house with a werewolf costume on that tried to rape me." That... was somehow less comforting than Jared meant it to be. He sighed resting back against the chair. "So glad Tess isn't here right now... She'd never let me hear the end of it."

Dakota nuzzled at his chest, the larger male moving an inch closer to that soothing voice and brought his cold nose over to sniff at Jared's arm. His muzzle opened, tongue drooling out the side as Dakota moved up closer...

Jared used both hands to shove that muzzle away from his face. "Whoa, there!" And he flushed brightly trying not to become as flustered as he already felt. Flabbergasted Jared just stammered, "t-that's s-so not going t-to happen any time soon."

Dakota's golden bronze eyes opened, appearing far more human than Jared was comfortable with. The wolf-man blinked a few times, his mind coming back to him quickly before he recoiled away from Jared as if he had just accidentally touched a stove top. Dakota was breathing heavily as his clawed hands pushed against the floor, ripping the carpet as he tried to sit up. The blanket fell down his chest and he looked down at it. He grabbed it and lifted it up to sniff, his ears folding back as it dawned on him. This powerful scent was his own, the very blanket he had marked in Jared's room hours ago.

"Easy," Jared said lifting both hands up in peace. He blinked a few times before looking away. Dude, looked far too real to be fake. "Not sure who you are or anything but its going to be ok." And Jared mulled that over. "How the hell did you get in here." He ended up asking looking over at him.

Dakota looked at him for a few seconds before replying, "you left the garage open."

"Oh." Jared said looking over towards the side hallway leading to the garage. "Woopsie." And he shrugged, chuckling and smiled back at Dakota. The wolf frowned at the man.

"You are taking this far too... not...serious." And Dakota frowned at that. It had been too long since he actually had a worded conversation. Most the pack stayed in wolf form and it was easier to just use body language to communicate. Dakota placed a hand on his head trying to rest back but his leg ached and it was easier to lay down. He did his best not to just rest his head back in that oh-so welcoming lap. Which he was just now staring at, drool dripping down from his muzzle.

"Just a bad trip." Jared muttered scooting back away from that hungry muzzle, he covered his groin a bit with his hand. "It'll pass, things will go back to normal." The man said more to himself than to Dakota. "Be normal again..."

"Right." Dakota frowned not looking at him, not about to force the truth down his throat. It'd happen soon enough as it is. Dakota didn't think about it but it was clear that he had no intention of ever leaving the man's side again. The very thought of just staying close made him calm down, his breaths evening out.

"Who the hell are you anyways?" Jared asked looking at the naked man in the middle of his living room. The wolf folded his ears back looking down over himself to see what Jared was looking at. Dakota pulled the blanket up over him a bit more, forgetting the prudish nature of humans. Having to wear cloths was such a pain. Having to adjust to what Jared was comfortable with will be... it's own problem. Dakota still just felt crawling over him and laying out for the rest of the night.

"Dakota..." The wolf-man said not looking at Jared. He rubbed his leg, feeling the bandages over it and lifted the covers up to see the shoddy work Jared had done. It was something at least. "You did this?" Dakota folded his ears back feeling his heart painfully pounding in his chest. The man had metaphorically licked his wound, even when he was butt naked.

"I couldn't just leave you bleeding in the middle of my house," Jared said resting forward a bit and smiling at the wolf. "Dakota." He said his name afterward and smiled and the wolf nearly dropped his jaw as he looked at him. "How did you get that wound anyways?" And for some reason Jared did not connect two and two together to figure it out. Some part of his brain was furiously trying not to put that together. The same wound, on the same leg as the very wolf he had hit just the other night.

"An... accident." Dakota said wearily looking at him as if he was about to start speaking in tongues at any moment. "Involving a harpoon gun." He frowned now. Why was he smiling at him? Why was he so... welcoming. He should be freaking out. Running for his life. Dakota was glad for this afraid his hunting instinct would kick in once more and... he had no desire to let this man escape him.

"Oh. Well... fuck, that sucks." Jared stood up a bit. "Look, this might last a little while. Hours or so. So... if you wanted to grab something to eat," he motioned to the kitchen. "Or I could get something for you rather..." Jared said after Dakota gave him a look. "Sometimes food helps with the... buzz." He said friendly enough. He had planned to get hammered the other night at a friend's party. Maybe one of them slipped him something. That was all... "Do you need a hand?"

"I don't need your help." The wolf growled pushing himself up enough to stand on one leg. It was far easier to stand on three legs than it was on one. And he nearly face planted the floor until Jared moved under to catch the taller man. Jared grunted at the weight and managed to lead him over to the couch somehow.

"You're injured!" Jared growled in annoyance, more at the fact he hadn't realized Dakota would be so heavy. "So sit the fuck down and I'll get you something to eat." And he set the wolf down before, stretching his back, moved into the kitchen. "And don't make me say this again!" He glared at the wolf and Dakota was the one to pull back, this was defiantly not how he saw this going. Jared tone of voice was even dominate. Dakota would have to make sure to let him know which of the two was the dominate one here...

"Right..." Dakota watched him go, rubbing his leg a bit before just resting on his stomach, laying out over the whole couch. He used a pillowed to prop his leg up a bit. Dakota watched him from the corner of his eye as he tried to reach for the blanket. He had to stop himself from just turning into a wolf and laying down over it. Or dragging the man back to the blanket and just... Dakota growled, closing his eyes and pushing such thoughts away.

Jared returned shortly. "It's not much. Just some rice, chicken and veggies." Jared said placing the already made bento box down in front of him. "My sis got me this cool cook book on all these different kind of recipes! And couldn't resist making something the other night. I figured we'd be too out of it to actually make any food..." And he chuckled at the thought. "I guess I was right, huh?"

"You... made this?" Dakota eyed the food. The box had different sections. One was filled with white rice with a light sesame seed teriyaki sauce over it. There were some sort of pickled vegetables next to it, a little garnish on top of grilled chicken slices that had marinated and cooked in the same teriyaki flavor. A small dumpling sat in a corner with two sushi rolls next to it.

"Yeah," Jared said placing his box down and looking at him. "I had some free time on my hands," and shrugged. "So I thought I'd make something different for a change."

Dakota nearly wagged his tail at that. "Different? Do you cook often?" The wolf was practically already drooling at the very idea of constant food.

"When I get the time too, I do. It's a hobby of mine" Jared just shrugged a shoulder, getting a bit embarrassed over the matter. His cheeks burned lightly and that did make Dakota tail wag, just a swaying motion.

"What do you cook?" Dakota asked having to swallow loudly, his stomach reminding him he had only had breakfast and nothing else.

"Well... the other day!" Jared said a bit excited taking a seat on the foot rest next to the couch. "I made elk steak! A little home rub on top of each one, grill 'em up and served. De-li-cious." And he kissed two fingers. "Benissimo!"

Dakota thought that over. It wouldn't be bad to have a home cooked meal(s) for a change. "An you live here with your sister, then?" He asked already knowing the answer. His nose never lies. It wouldn't be an issue. Dakota stayed with a whole pack so he was used to overcrowding.

"Yeah. Just me and her. She might be home in a bit," Jared looked over at the time. "But is probably staying at Morris's tonight. Well maybe. Once I get over this," he shook his head and chuckled. "I was planning to head back there."

"I see..." Dakota said softly narrowing his eyes on the food and thinking that over. Those two hunters might come back to the scene of the crime, as in the animal clinic. It would be dangerous for him to go back, alone. "You should stay here." He just ended up blurting out. "I-I mean it's dangerous... to drive... in your condition." Dakota quickly reasoned. Not that he'd let the man leave as it was. Jared knew Dakota was here and it'd be too risky to let him.

Jared nodded at that. "Yeah. I might just tell her I'll drop by tomorrow after a good night sleep or something." And he stretched a bit, Dakota watched devouring his body with his eyes. The man was still in nothing more than boxer briefs. His was far more fit than Dakota thought he'd be. Jared shivered at the cold air only now realizing it himself that he only had one thing on.

"Here," and Dakota sat up a bit moving over to give him room on the sofa. "You shouldn't be cold." The wolf-man said looking him over and his heart sinking at seeing him shiver. His very instincts was tell him to go over there and use his own body to warm him up. A blanket would work just as well, he supposed. Far less enjoyable though.

"I can just put something on." Jared began getting up a bit.

"NO need," Dakota jerked reaching over to stop him before wincing and holding his bad leg. "Damn," he growled softly looking down at it. This wound was stopping him from doing... what was he doing? And Dakota folded his ears back trying to calm himself down. What the hell was he doing? Here? He should be out looking for the pack not here...

Jared did move over a bit. "Is there anything else I can do to help?" Dakota heart pounded at the question, baring his teeth a bit as he clenched his jaw from saying exactly what he wanted to do to the man.

Which only got worse when Jared did take a seat next to him, placing a hand on one of his. "Are you alright?" Jared asked looking at him now with concern written all over his face.

Dakota was still resting on his side, just sitting up to try and give the man some room not thinking he'd actually take up his offer. Which only made Dakota whine as he looked down at him, practically naked and just so...inviting. One hand clawed at the couch as the other moved, knocking Jared own off it and placed it up and around Jared's shoulder. Toes ripping at the carpet as the large lug pushed himself against Jared who tried to return the hug before just being collapsed on.

Dakota finally succumbing to exhaustion once more as his body held onto the man in his arms, clinging to him as he rested on the couch. A fitful state between the waking and sleeping world.

"Dakota, buddy." Jared tapped his shoulder. "You're far heavier than you look." He tapped again before resting back. "And fuzzy..." Jared muttered trying not to flush again as that heavy muzzle rested on his shoulder, pushing against the side of his neck and face. "And warm... and musky." Jared tried not to think about it as a flush took his face once more and made him feel warm in all the right places.

Dakota growled a sigh as he relaxed once more feeling that warmth under him, smelling that scent and feeling this man in his arms. It was the only comfort he had known since he had gotten this wound. And it ached, it burned and for once in his life he let it show. The pain washing over his face as he bit his lower lip and whimpered, tears actually forming in his eyes. Not a single one fell.

"Shit," Jared muttered holding this wolf now and petting his back as Dakota clung to him. "It's alright, it'll be alright..." He just muttered figuring he was the one having the bad trip here. He knew from experience how fucked up it could be. "I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere. You won't be alone..."

Dakota sobbed, a silent sound as he noticeably shook as he held this man.

It had hurt so much. He was all alone, never knowing if he'd ever see his pack again. If he'd even live to see the sunrise, the sunset... He had been so hungry all these days, these weeks... All alone and running. Running so fast, so hard with this wound no less. Any second he thought his body would just give out on him and he'd fall over dead. Or worse, unable to move as they came for him. Every night he slept with one eye open, never getting the chance to rest more than a couple of hours every day or so. If he had gotten lucky he'd pass by a stream or catch a rabbit.

And now? Finally, finally he got the chance to close his eyes, still shaking as he sobbed holding the man, clinging to him like a teddy bear for comfort and sanctuary from it all. And that voice, that soothing voice whispering down to him. Telling him everything he had wanted to hear for so long.

"Your lunch is getting cold." Jared tried to say, trying to push the lug off him but could only grin and bear the weight of the wounded man, this wounded animal on him. "Fuck," he muttered looking at nothing in particular as he pet the man's back. "There, there. Wish you were here now, Tess. You'd know what to do."

There was a shift of the larger male. Jared wasn't sure if he was going to move even more ontop of him or what until the wolf-man spoke. "This is horrible." Dakota said taking a bite of the food. He gagged out the pickled ginger. "What the hell is it." Dakota however hadn't let go of the man either.

"It's pickled ginger in Umezu." Jared replied, scooting back a bit and trying to ignore the fact the other man was naked, resting on top of him. Mostly trying not to grind himself into the man's body resting over his.

"Nasty." And Dakota picked at the rice, chewed it a bit. "Eh, it has like no taste."

"It's rice." Jared frowned.

"Chicken isn't half bad tho." And Dakota turned fully onto his side resting on the back of the couch, his leg up on the other arm rest as he laid behind Jared, an arm wrapped one arm around him. With his other hand he had grabbed the food and was sniffing the rest over. Using his tongue as a spoon, Dakota took down another piece of chicken.

Jared watched him for a second. "That was fast." Dakota looked at him with those golden bronze eyes. "You were... crying."

"I recover fast." Dakota shrugged back in return not wanting to say the food was too enticing, this man's company too good to stay in such a state for long. He licked up another slice of chicken, asking around a mouthful of food if, "you're going to eat that." And Dakota pointed a clawed digit at Jared's chicken.

"How did you...do that?" Jared asked eying him closer now, seeing the drool covered fangs and that slithering tongue as it rippled and spoke. No matter how real a mask was it could not do that. And his brain was quickly catching up to him as those golden bronze eyes looked at him with far too much intelligence behind them.

"Do what?" Dakota quirked his head to the said. He wrinkled his nose, scratched at his chest and looked at the man next too him.

"Oh." Jared said as it dawned on him. "Oh." He said again his facing falling a bit. "Shit..." And with, a manly scream, he crawled over the side of the sofa and all fours tried to run away. He let him slip away, Dakota watching him more with amusement than anything else. Until he was on all fours and the wolf-man sat up as he looked at the man, staring at his rear with glazed over eyes.

"S-stop doing that!" Dakota snarled looking away and covering one side of his face. He tossed the food box back onto the table.

"Stay back!" Jared said making it to the kitchen and grabbing the nearest thing he could. The wooden rolling pin. "I got a weapon..." And he looked at it. "Sort of."

"Yeah." Dakota took a moment, easing his leg off the couch before standing up on his good leg and trying to hobble over. "That won't do much." He looked at the weapon then at the man whose whole body was shaking as that primal fear gripped him. Dakota sighed. "Look, I know this is very... frightening." Dakota began figuring this was how things were suppose to go to begin with. And he had been enjoying himself so much too!

"No shit! There is a fucking god damn wolf-man in my room!" Jared pointed the rolling pin at him. Dakota frowned at it.

"I prefer lycanthropely challenged, thank you very much." Dakota joked with a smirk. "I come in peace. I mean you no harm. I am a friendly wolf." Dakota went over the cliche's hoping one would land. "If I wanted to do something..."

Jared interrupted. "You mounted me!"

Dakota's face did fall at that. "W-well you shouldn't have run!"

"Oh, sorry." Jared glared back. "Was I suppose to invite you an offer you cookies and milk?"

"That would have... actually been very lovely, yeah. Do that." Dakota smiled at the man, unnerving Jared further. It was cute how he tried to act all tough, trying to lighten the situation with jokes. And his smell only increased as Jared began to perspire slightly as he breathed heavily, adrenaline coursing through his system. "But really," and Dakota kept his hands up. "I will not hurt you, ever. That I can promise you."

"Yeah. What's the word of a... wolf." Jared tried to act tough but faltered at the look Dakota gave him. The larger, naked, wolf-man took a step closer.

"If I give you my word, I mean it." Dakota moved closer and Jared moved back into the corner of the kitchen holding up the rolling pin. It shook so much it almost slipped from his hand. "A wolf's pride is everything to him." And Dakota let the man swing the rolling pin at him as he came within range.

A single hand was all it took to stop the weapon mid swing. He plucked it from Jared's hands and tossed it aside. Jared flinched away, closing his eyes. And then got a large hug in return, pressed roughly against Dakota's chest.

"I won't ever hurt you," Dakota murmured down to him.

"I-I see that." Jared said getting even more flustered as Dakota ended up grinding against him, guiltily. "Y-your a very friendly... wolf."

"Can we return to the couch, please?" Dakota looked at him, one eye twitching. "My leg really... really... hurts." And Jared could see the wolf was baring through the pain this whole time.

"Sure... Your not going to mount me, are you?" Jared asked.

"Not yet, no." And Dakota barked a laugh as Jared tried to help guide him back to the sofa, hoping the wolf had been joking...

The two settled back on the couch and Jared had little say as he was pulled up next to the large wolf, who rested back in the very position he had been before.

"Are you a curious, pup?" Dakota teased him and Jared face fell once more. He wasn't really one for experimenting. "Got question for me." Dakota corrected himself with a chuckle. He pet the side of the man's face. "Relax. Relax."

"How couldn't I have questions?" And Jared just stared at the russet red fur chest in front of his face rather than up at the wolf who was holding him so tightly his nose was pressing against his pecs.

"Well that is, technically, a question..." Dakota frowned a bit unsure if he should answer the question on not. He rubbed a hand up his back. "Once I recover more, we can talk more." And he pressed his snout against the top of Jared's head and took a slow, deep breath of him. "For now, let me just rest. I'll turn into human form once I'm able, if that puts you at peace." Dakota could smell his fear, the confusion and also the excitement and heat pumping out of this man.

"S-sounds good." Jared swallowed loudly looking up at the wolf. "Uh... Dakota?"

"Yes?"

"Could you please put some pants on..."

And that night, Dakota woke up to the sound of a distant howl calling his name...

And nearly at the same time Mary replied to Benjamin unasked question. "We just go to plan B."
