#8 of the great war
(This will kind of be like THE SONG OF ROLAND)
All the beings heard the roar of Malual and Penna and they looked. The demons backed away a bit and the allies let out a cheer. Malual and Penna landed in front of the army and the war began.
"CHARGE!!" Malual roared as he took flight and barreled into the demon army. The elves launched arrow after arrow into the army and sent spells of destruction as well. The dwarves charged right in along with the forest creatures laying a path of death.
The dwarf berserker Killira charged in using his entire body as a weapon. Demons fell left and right of the crazed dwarf. He took blow after blow but he kept killing.
The dwarven battle rager Mobar charged in with his axe swinging left and right. Hundreds of demons were slain by this axe and many more followed.
The star elf mage Etisluns Shinemaster slayed demons with her staff and her spells. She laid a path of magical destruction where ever she went.
The forest elf swordmaster Nanead Cloudstrike dashed in with unmatched grace. Uncountable amounts of shadow spawn fell to his twin scimitars and his deadly magic.
King Goldenfeather flew in with his razor talons slaying anything that he ran into. He did not need any other weapon; his body was weapon enough to kill demons.
The panther lord Tha'Enpr charged in with one goal in mind; slay the demon Baz'el who was the bane of all panthers. He met the demon and in the battle that followed, Baz'el fell to Tha'Enpr's fury. Tha'Enpr did not escape unscathed though. The demon's blade was cursed so that if it even touched a living being, it would kill them quickly. He died a few minutes after defeating Baz'el.
For a while, the demons did not seem able to organize themselves. When they did, the tides changed.
The Pit master Eurynomous met Mobar head on. The demon used its dark magic to blind the noble dwarf. He then proceded to lay the killing blow on Mobar. In a final act of defiance to evil, Mobar threw his axe right at where the killing blow originated catching Eurynomous in the chest. Mobar died but so too did Eurynomous.
Smog did not only summon demons; he also summoned the shadow elves. The leader of these dark elves was Nergal. He met Nanead Cloudstrike and the two swordmaster's fought to the death. Nanead was powerful but had not spent near as long practicing with the swords as Nergal had. In the end, Nergal defeated Nanead but was then faced with a horde of elven warriors out for revenge. He slayed many of the elves but they kept coming. He made one mistake and the price was his life as the elves charged at him.
Killira knew his time was running short. He had taken too many blows; lost too much blood. He did not stop though. He only stopped when he was dead due to the loss of blood.
Etisluns Shinemaster was causing destruction among the evil army but even mages are vulnerable to arrows. She looked up too late to see the cloud of arrows coming down on her. Her final attack was to send a fire ball at the archers killing them. She died a content elf.
King Goldenfeather was untouched by the demonic weapons until he found a basilisk. The creature was an abomination hated by all living beings. He valiantly attacked the basilisk. In the end though, even King Goldenfeather was not enough to slay it. He delivered a blow on the neck of the creature that was close to being fatal. He then fell to the creatures poison breath.
Penna saw the heroes die. She continued to fight with her fire magic until she saw her father fall. The flames around her body cooled and the demons thought she was defeated. They were dead wrong. Before the first blow fell, the flames roared hotter than before. Her desperation to live was replaced with a need for revenge. Malual landed next to her and together they fought. Penna realized that they needed to be stronger to fight this army and win. Without knowing what she was doing, she lunged at Malual and wrapped the gold dragon in her flames. He was confused but then felt something strange happening.

"Penna, there is something you should know." The phoenix said to her as she stood back in the land of the phoenix. "It is possible for two to become one. Many Phoenix lords have done this before. It normally kills them. You will know what to do when and if you need to. Good luck"

When the flames cooled, there was no dragon or phoenix. There was something that none of the beings had seen before. the thing said "Two become one." As it charged into the hordes of demons. The armies met and the ground was painted with blood. There were holes that were created by explosions of magic and the earth was scorched by flames. Penna had one goal in mind though; Mat. She found the evil king surrounded by the bodies of elves and dwarves. They fought and Mat used his spells thinking to kill her instantly. He was unaware that she had fused with a dragon. She was basically impervious to magic. They fought and the earth trembled under the power they wielded. The final blow against mat was not struck by Penna. It was struck by Smog himself. He appeared for a brief instant and said one thing.
"HUMAN YOU HAVE FAILED ME!" with that, a ball of darkness fell on Mat and he died.
Penna realized the only way to end this war was to kill Smog. She flew into the forest and saw a fiery portal. Entering it, Penna found herself in a land of darkness. Sitting on a throne right in front of the portal was Smog. Seeing her, Smog got up and attacked. His darkness was no match for her light. They struck at each other with magic and with claws. Penna began casting a spell to kill the dark dragon but he countered it with his own. They were trapped in a contest of wills. The dragon appeared to be winning until Penna thought of her father. This made her angry and gave her power. Looking one way, she saw the body of Elvithrariand laying there. Her eyes widened as Malual's mind saw the body. The dragon did not stand a chance. The combined anger made them stronger than anything. They forced the killing spell directly at Smog and it hit him. He died but as he fell, Penna fell also. She fell through the portal of flames as it closed and thought she was going to die for the fusion. She woke up to find herself surrounded by elves and dwarves and the forest creatures. she looked to her side and saw Malual unconscious. They helped her up and she told them to carry Malual to the castle. She followed shortly after hearing the damage. They had won the war but at a price. The land was unusable due to the cursed demon blood. She walked to the castle and saw a room with a broken door. She wandered in and saw a table with toys all around it. She remembered something that Malual had said and went go get him. The war was over and the army had dispersed. People went to see families and would not hear anything about what would happen to the kingdom until the next day. She carried Malual into the room and put a magic barrier in front of the door. She healed Malual and tied him to the table in Panther form.
He awoke to find himself tied down to a table and he immediately recognized the room. He then saw Penna and was confused until she said "You told me you have never slept with a girl before."
He tried to talk but was muzzled. He felt something inside him and then it began to get bigger. She leaned right next to him and whispered "I think you are going to enjoy this."
Epilogue.
Penna and Malual became king and queen of the dragons and the forest creatures and lived a very happy and long rule over the land.
The human empire was replaced with a democracy and they never troubled the world again.
The elves and dwarves went home and soon the world was back to normal.
