_Very recently, I have started to have these non-specific bouts of rage. It's just thoughts of violence towards others, but nobody specific and also because just ideation, I am able to prevent myself from acting upon them. I came up with this brief story one afternoon while in one such episode. _

Misplaced Aggression

A story by Rogal Urson

His day had gone horribly and he was fuming. First, he had missed one of the two buses he needed to catch to even get to the office. Once he got there, he discovered that one of the network nodes had gone down and after a quick diagnostic, discovered it was one of the two main drives, which meant a reconstruction. After doing a quick failover to the backup, the network was back up. Then a few hours later, the entire office began having power fluctuations until just after lunch at about 2pm, the power cut off entirely, causing the emergency generators to kick in with minimal power. While everyone else got to go home, he had to stay to make sure everything came back up. In the rapidly cooling office, as the sun had begun to go down, just before 7, the power came back on and he spent the next hour and a half bringing up all the critical systems and performing a very quick backup. After contacting the building's management and maintenance teams, he was even more angered to find out that their power outage had been attributed to a short in the suite below them, tripping one of the main circuit breakers for the three floors including the office. After going off on the management and maintenance staff via conference call, he hung up and got his stuff and headed out to the bus stop.

And it had started to snow. He growled and grumbled, watching the drivers going too fast for the road conditions. As he was about to step off the curb, a car sped through the intersection, splashing water and slush in his direction, soaking his overcoat. He roared at the driver, scaring those pedestrians around him. Finally making it to the bus stop, he boarded the bus and continued his journey to the hub. Once he got to the hub, he discovered that his current bus was running late so he missed his connection and the next one wasn't for an hour. Grumbling more, he pulled his cellphone out of his briefcase and called for a cab, which came rather quick. Getting into the cab and telling the cheetah driver where he was going, he continued his journey home.

Curled up on the carpet in the living room in a small apartment, a slightly chubby anthro husky shepherd mix slumbered until he heard the alarm go off. Getting up and stretching, he went to the bathroom and washed himself. Coming out into the living room, he started to clean up and organize things. Starting a fire in the fireplace, some music on the radio as he cleaned up the apartment, starting in the kitchen. His thoughts were interrupted by the front door slamming, followed by growling and grumbling.

The next thing he knew, there was a large paw around his neck and he was being dragged towards the steps going downstairs. He began pleading and whimpering.

"I was doing what I was supposed to Sir," he whimpered and whined.

All he heard was a deep bass growl as the door in the basement was opened and he was tossed onto the floor in the middle of the room, the dungeon. The bear dragged him over to a saw horse and began chaining the husky to the legs, stretching him out and prominently displaying his rump for the bear to see. He then felt the bear's claws upon him, shredding his clothes as the tatters were removed. The bear walking over to the wardrobe and after stripping down, donned full leather gear, including his hat and harness, growling and grumbling the whole time.

The husky whimpered when he saw the massive bruin pull a specific paddle from the wall. It was solid wood, with holes drilled in it He knew this was going to hurt. He felt the sting of the paddle strike his rump, causing him to whimper and cry out. Several more times the paddle struck his rump and each time, he cried out, howling. Still the bear was determined and ultimately shoved a ball gag in the pup's muzzle to silence him. After a few minutes, the bear untied the pup and flopped down onto the floor, his paws in his hands.

"Sir," the pup asked, sitting down in front of the massive bruin.

The bruin looked up into the eyes of the pup, tears streaming down his face. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I broke the rules."

The pup placed his arms on the bear's shoulders. He leaned down and kissed the tip of the bear's nose.

"That rough of a day papa bear," the husky asked.

"You have no idea pup," he half smiled, the tears still in his eyes. "A very horrible day."

"I am your outlet papa bear. I am here for you to use and love as you see fit," the husky replied, placing his paw in the bear's paw. "Why don't we go upstairs and I will make you dinner and you can tell me all about it, mmh?

The bear started to get up and then pulled the husky into his arms, giving him a bear hug. "I don't deserve you."

The husky looked into his eyes once more and moved up to kiss him passionately for a couple minutes. Once he broke the kiss, he smiled as he guided the bruin upstairs. "Yes you do. More than you know."
