Part of a trade with someone on FA

Ives came to a stop besides a rather large boulder. The humanoid falcon stretched his left wingarm out and leaned against the rock for support. He bent over, huffing and puffing as he struggled to regain his breath. He held his rotund belly with his other hand, mentally cursing its weight, the blazing sun, and the rough trail he had just ventured upon.

How had it come to this? He was quite the overweight avian. Before he wouldn't have called himself athletic, but he had kept in some sort of shape before. Hell, he had even participated in lacrosse for a few years in the middle portion of his mandatory schooling. What was it then? Why he had let himself go?

In reality Ives knew--it was just the results of his lifestyle. He would spend long hors sitting in the office and occasionally working. Afterwards he would return home with little or no energy. Most of the time he would spend the evening watching some stupid show or reading the latest issues of his favorite comic books. Throughout the week he would see friends for poker night or a session of Caverns & Creatures. The weekends were a different matter entirely, full of energetic parties at classy locations and some not-so-classy clubs. At these extravaganzas he seldom watched what he ate or drank. The vast amounts of alcohol he consumed at these festivities had gone straight to his belly.

Ives took a deep breath. When he felt well enough he stood up straight. He didn't hate his life--no, he rather enjoyed its easy schedule and idle pleasantries. The only problem with it was that it had not been the best for his physique. Recently he had been embarrassed to find he was so overweight that he couldn't even sustain flight for more than a second. This was imminently embarrassing, for what sort of bird couldn't fly? It was like a dog who couldn't bark or a dolphin that couldn't swim. Thus, Ives had decided a run out in nature would do him good. There wouldn't be anything to distract him, nothing out in the chosen park but his mind, his body, and his motivation.

Ives had immediately regretted his choice only a few seconds into the run. He had found the whole experience horrible; how hot it was, how it hurt to breathe so harshly, and worst of all the reminder of how badly in shape he was really. In addition, the physicality of it was frankly dull and uninteresting.

He eyed the trees ahead of him. The scenery was boring too. Everything looked the same: what was so different from one tree to the other or between blades of grass? He wondered why he had come out here when he could just have been easily running on a treadmill in the comfort of an air-conditioned gym. Oh well. He was out here already. It would be a waste to head back now. A run might've been too ambitious, but he could at least walk, right?

Ives removed his talons from the rock and began to unsteadily lurch on already sore legs. He found that walking was better compared to running. He wasn't exerting himself so much that he like his heart was going to burst out of his chest and the slower speed allowed easy breathing and everything wasn't a blur. Still, he found his surroundings as boring as before. Looking up at the cloudless blue sky didn't help either as it reminded him all too well of his inability to be up there. He idly wished he had brought his cassette player. He didn't have much to listen to but it was certainly more than nature was offering him. After all, the forest was silent...almost eerily silent, he realized.

The falcon came to a sudden stop and glanced surreptitiously over his shoulder. There was no one creeping behind him and nothing strange occurring out of his sight. The hawk sighed. The forest was silent because it was merely uninteresting, not due to some stalking spook or great predator. He returned his gaze forward and was about to continue his walk when he caught sight of something finally interesting.

Lying in the epicenter of four trees spaces in a diamond pattern was a spike of white bone. It was unlike any of the dull green and brown vegetation that surrounded him. It nearly gleamed in the midafternoon sun, awing the falcon with its splendor. It was beautiful and enticing and certainly far more interesting than walking. Curiosity overrode suspicion, leading Ives to approach the object.

When he reached it, he awkwardly stooped down and examined it. It sort of reminded him of a rhino's horn, yet it was far too short to be one. Also of interest was a pattern of dots of vibrant color spaced on the horn. He wondered what it could be. It seemed too recent to be a fossil, but too natural to be a work of art as far as he could tell. Without thinking, he reached and grabbed the horn.

As he wrapped his talons around the horn, the colors on the horn swirled together and flowed off the horn. Ives stared in wonderment at the strange haze of colors that floated before him. Then they swirled together and lanced towards the falcon. He fell back and landed on his fat rump. He glanced down at his chest to find the colors vanished, perhaps absorbed into his body.

Feeling a sudden loss of weight of what he held in his right hand, he held it towards his face. White dust, all that was left of the horn, fell out of his talons and was carried off by an erstwhile gust of wind. He blinked and then shuddered as energy ancient and powerful flowed through his body. It felt like a pleasant massage everywhere at once: sensual, smooth, and so relaxing that all else was temporarily forgotten in tranquility. The falcon sighed and wrapped his arms around his belly while his already low levels of energy and motivation diminished. He lowered his head and back until both rested upon the ground. His eyes were half-lidded as he stared into the peaceful sky.

After a time, Ives' feet felt tight within his shoes. He found this odd because he had made sure they were sized properly before purchasing them. Never mind that, though. Perhaps it would be better to remove them anyways. No reason to have them constrained when they could be feeling the cool wind and soft grass. He tried to sit up and found difficulty in doing so due to his round belly. He mustered all his strength and attempted to sit up again. This time he succeeded, unnoticing that his belly had shrunk slightly. He reached for his shoes and unlaced them. Subsequently he kicked them off, stretching his toes while his talons retracted and the scales on his feet smoothed out, joined together and took on a light green hue.

Suddenly Ives felt itchy all over his wingarms. He casually scratched at the dried out feathers on both arms simultaneously. The feathers fell out onto the ground each time he relieved an itch from a spot on his arms, revealing a smooth yet rough green hide like that on his altered feet. His arms were much thinner than before, slender and toned where they had been chunky and wobbly before. In addition, his fingers grew thicker and stubbier as the same hide covered them, becoming less dexterous but stronger overall.

The itching didn't stop there, however. It spread to his chest next. He rubbed at the shirt, but that just didn't do it. He grabbed the bottom of his shirt and started to pull it over his head. As he did so, the piece of clothing got caught on a sudden protrusion at the back of his head: a large bony frill that grew up and out. While he struggled to get the shirt completely off, his beak drew back a little while his face push forward. The feathers shed from his cranium and green hide covered both his beak and face as they merged into a cohesive visage. He still had a parrot-like beak of sorts, but he also now possessed a proper jaw and teeth, a multitude of them designed to shear and chew vegetation. Two nostrils opened on either side of his beak and a small horn pushed its way out of the tip. Finally, two large horns jutted out of his forehead, tearing his shirt to pieces but finally allowing him to remove it.

Now that his shirt was off, Ives was able to attend to the itch on his chest. It took him even less time to allay these irritations, his feathers discarded at the slightest touch. As he worked down his chest his belly's bulk reduced as well until he was left with a smooth stomach devoid of any of it's previous stoutness. At the same time, his skeleton grew denser, his lightweight bones no longer needed for a form that didn't support flight. He admired his toned abdomen before he felt a familiar tingling in the lower half of his body. He got to his feet and found that his legs were no longer sore as before.

Ives grabbed his shorts and pulled them down just as his hips widened. A small nub of a tail slinked out above his lowering shorts, quickly lengthening into a short saurian tail that hung above a shapely, sensuous rear. Simultaneously two orbs of flesh puffed out on his upper chest, swelling out only slightly so that they ended up as a pair of A-size breasts.

When the shorts passed his crotch, the triceratops sighed at the oddly pleasurable sensation of his genitals retreating into a quickly forming tunnel. By the time the shorts were around the former falcon's knees, she was no longer a he thanks to the plush pair of feminine folds that had replaced her masculinity.

She stepped away from the shorts with legs that matched the rest of her ceratopsian body. Her fingers briefly glowed as she traced her fingers on her abdomen, leaving behind primal tattoo-like markings that identified her as a medicine woman, knowledgeable of nature and its bounty along with the application of remedies and poultices she could make from various herbs and plants.

Ives took another step forward. Her hips widened as she did so, causing her oversized boxers to fall to the ground and exposing her slightly moist sex to the world. She shivered when a gust of cool wind swept past her and caressed her nethers pleasurably. It alerted her to the fact that there was a heat in her crotch, one that grew and throbbed with each passing moment. Seeking to quench the fire, she first grabbed her breasts. They were sensitive yet small, and she found her caresses of them only stoked the fire into a blaze. She tweaked her nipples gently before moving one hand downwards, plunging one finger into her slick folds. She moaned as she dug the finger as far as she could, pinching her clit with two others. This quickly increased her arousal so much so that in a few moments she was on the cusp of orgasm. She couldn't quite achieve it until she fondled her breasts with her inactive hand, sending down electric tingles to her crotch that combined with a few twists in her tunnel and pinches of a sensitive nub led to an intense climax. Her first female orgasm was so intense that Ives fell onto her rear, paralyzed with pleasure.

In the moment of afterglow Ives' falcon mind came to forefront. At first she looked with horror upon her new body: its feminine shape and proportions, the curves, the small breasts, and her pussy between her legs that dripped lewdly with juices released from her recent bout of masturbation. The alien form of her face, addition of tail, and lack of any form of flight was equally terrifying. Yet--

Yet at the same time Ives was content with her new form. It was slim and attractive, nothing like her previous flabby body. She could imagine running for miles in this body. So what if she couldn't fly? She could explore the world as never before. And what was so bad about her tail? It provided balance. She smiled and looked at her nethers. Plus, it could be put to use elsewhere in the future.

Things would be simpler too if she just accepted her new form. No more worrying about numbers or tedious hours at the office or how she would need to lose weight. She didn't hate her old life, but this one was somehow enticing. Not a necessarily easier existence, just a different one. Things would be better, her mind promised. Things already were...

So Ives let go.

The triceratops blinked and saw the world from a different perspective. The sky was not blue and bland, but clear and cloudless. The trees around here were not the same; rather, there were differences between them in what they produced, in how they hibernated, in the various uses of their park. The grass seemed more appetizing than before, though she would rather eat more nutritious fare. A fern, perhaps.

She also had a new role, a new purpose, and a new name. What was it though? The triceratops looked down at her tattooed chest. It was written there amongst other things--Nahida, a proper name for a medicine woman as herself.

She looked down at her naked form not in shame, but admiration. Still, it would be prudent to be at least partially covered. She bent down and combined the torn portion of her shirt into a loincloth that did a fine job of concealing and protecting her sensitive nethers. She also rummaged through her shorts' pockets, but found nothing of value amongst the paper and strange metal bits.

The triceratops turned away from her former life and walked among the forest. After a time she found a stout stick that she used to aid her walk. She also began to gather ingredients for some medicines that her tribe would soon need. She wasn't quite sure where her tribe was, yet she was sure she would find them. If not, the other horns she occasionally came across hinted that they might find her soon enough. She would be just as fine with a solitary existence as one with others, though it would be nice for some other to be around to share her knowledge and assist with satisfy the arousal that was already building up again.

In any case, Nahida was content now and she could not envision a time when she would not be. There was little to worry about, for she knew how to survive off the land. All that she had to look forward to was the night and the morning beyond that. She was in the moment: the sun shone, the wind blew, and she was content.
