The current last chapter I have written, haven't had the inspiration or drive to continue on unfortunately

A frozen blast of wind chilled the travelers as they crossed the tundra.

Days had passed since Cyn had met up with and joined Enek and Asyr. Having proven herself a natural addition to the group as a group of kobolds came upon them in the night, but were swiftly dispatched by a spell conjured from her mystic tome. Exposed to a number of other embarassing acts from Asyr as the canine had pressed herself against the human companion insistantly during the duration of the journey, Cyn was becoming slowly accustomed to the acts of the two.

Growing bolder by the day, she had even stopped leaving the camp or averting her eyes so heavily. The unique nature of the two, human and canine-morph, had instead begun to interest her instead. While socially unacceptable, the act still intrigued her from a scholarly standpoint. They shared compatible genitals, with like mind sets, and even similar cultures so why should it be as hated and feared so deeply within the cities?

Pondering the question for the third time or so since leaving with them, Cyn looked over at the two in question. Enek had pulled a blanket from his pack and wrapped Asyr in it, giving a make-shift jacket to cover her bare fur. The two fussed over one another, with Asyr offering the blanket back to him in trade muttering words in canine that Cyn had picked up. The weather had gotten progressively worse as they have traveled into the country of Freya, shifting dramatically towards freezing temperatures and snow storms. The saving grace in all of this was of course that Enek and Cyn both were able to conjure magical fires to keep themselves warm through the worse of it.

Sighing between her own wrapped scarf, the breath frosted infront of Cyn's face as she compiled her thoughts. "We need to find proper shelter soon. The rations won't hold us indefinitely and I for one would like to sleep in a warm bed rather than padded down snow." Looking across the frozen wasteland around them and squinting her eyes. "Does your map cover this far north?"

Reaching into his pack, Enek produced the rough, rolled leather object. Unfurling it as he glanced it over and shaking his head simply. "No such luck. I'll have to pick one up when we get to Skywall, IF.. we get there anyway." Letting out a hot breath into his hands to try and warm them up, before rolling the map back up and replace it in his backpack. "Hey, why is it named that anyway?" He turned by to Cyn as he asked.

Perking an ear in his direction, her eyes still scanned the environment. "The city is built out out an entirely metal framework on the outside to cap out the cold, with insulating material on the inside. It also happens to be rather high up in the mountains... high enough that folks say it touches the sky. Getting the picture on their naming process now?" Cyn glanced towards him and Asyr with her eyebrow raised.

Enek nodded, understanding her meaning.

Refusing to remain silent for a moment longer, Asyr growled softly. The boring landscape had provided little to hunt and even less entertainment. Not that she minded the peaceful environment as it gave her Alpha and her more time to "bond". Smiling slyly to herself, she rubbed her hip against Enek's and snuggled into his side as he wrapped an arm around her. Over the last few days her plans had slowly been coming to fruition as she had tempted Enek into each act, noticing the dwindling resistence coming from the feline Cyn.

While not caring terribly for the female herself, Asyr had admited the usefulness and ingenuiety that she had provided. Thus the thought had came over to allow Cyn to share in her Alpha, she only needed that extra push and next time perhaps the feline would be ready to join them.

Asyr's schemes would have to wait however, as a sensations caused her ears to perk forward. A slight rumbling was coming from the ground ahead, and it was causing her fur to stand on end. Cyn's own feline instincts were next to pick it up as both girls stopped Enek. "I don't know what it is, but I don't like it.." Cyn had her book already flipped open as the pages softly glowed with magic at the ready.

Barreling out of the mountain path ahead of them, right from the the very frozen snow was a large creature easily twice any of their heights. Thickly matted fur covered the beast from head to toe in twisted dreadlocks. Its piercing yellow eyes focused on the group as his head turned to point finely honed tusks and horns their way. Opening it's mouth, rows of jagged teeth were shown off as it took a deep breath before bellowing, the roar sending an echo across the land.

The group readied themselves before the beast had a chance to enact any hostilities, spreading out in a loose semi-circle. Cyn was focused on the beast, flipping the pages of her book rapidly before stopping. "It's a yeti! A cousin species to the troll. There's regenerative blood pumping through that thing, so use fire!" She shouted, drawing the creatures attention for the moment as Cyn began channeling out magic from the book.

"Fire, got it!" Enek rushed forward, flexing his arms and igniting both hands in a roaring blaze. His initial worries of fighting without a proper weapon were cast aside as the hum of magical power could be felt coursing through him. Hurling the flaming spheres at the yeti, the fiery orbs erupted in brilliant flares. Fire singed the thick fur, sending off the most terrible of smells and causing the beast to thrash its arms at the sudden spiking pain.

Following alongside her Alpha's charge, Asyr flanked the beast from the side. A steady nervousness ran through the canine, but any even greater sense of excitement was also there. Howling as they bared down on the creature, Asyr saw her opening. As the yeti bent it's head down to brush fire away, the back of its neck was exposed. Lunging forward, her feet left the ground as she sailed through the air at her target. Fangs and claws at the ready, she found the weak point and dug in with everything the canine could muster.

Cyn's spell was finished as the feline snapped the cover of the book closed. From the very air infront of her a sword of pure fire was conjured. With a wave of her hand it flew forward and cut deeply across the yeti. Cyn's motions were like a conductors for an orchestra. She was the conduit, the guiding force to that powerful magic as she drew line after line against the yeti using the magical blade.

The yeti roared once again, the flames from the intial strikes faded. Thrashing its arms around, a hand reached back and squeezed down on Asyr. She yelped as the beasts greater strength pulled her off, taking a hearty chunk of its flesh still in her jaw. Hurling the canine like a projectile, she collided with Enek. They both laid in the snow for an agonizing moment before scampering back to their feet. "You alright Asyr?" Enek quickly asked, summoning more fire to engulf his forearms. She was sore, but nodded her head to him.

Laughing from the excitement, Cyn allowed herself to get caught up in the moment. "I haven't been monster hunting in months!" She moved with a dancers grace, sending the fiery weapon through another staccato of cuts. The yeti scooped a hand down and picked up a large snowball. Shielding itself with one hand and throwing the large object towards Cyn, she was a moment to slow to notice it. Enek's fireball caught the snowball in mid flight however, turning it into so much steam and water, Cyn was not hit by the solid mass but instead drenched by the liquid aftermath.

"Ahh!" She cried out in surprise, the force pushing her to her knees and interrupting the brilliant dance of the blade. Wiping her eyes, she heard as mix of large footfalls and Enek's voice shouting to her "Cyn! Look out!" Her vision cleared as she pushed up her glasses to see the yeti approaching. Recalling the blade would be too slow, no time to conjure another spell, Cyn's eyes widened as the beast raised his arms above its head as it came upon her.

Before the attack had a chance to land, the yeti was lift off its feet and sent toppling over. Cyn noticed a large shard of ice, shaped like a spear sticking out from the beasts shoulder.

Enek had dropped to his knees, panting for breath heavily. That desperation spell felt draining, but it had done its job. Cyn regained her senses, drawing the conjured blade back to her side. The yeti struggled to pulled the icicle spear out but was having no success. The feline frowned at the beast before bringing the sword right through the ripped open neck Asyr had created earlier. Giving a final gurgle as it choked on it's own blood, the yeti ceased moving as the area slowly returned to silence.

Readjusting her glasses, Cyn walked back to join Enek and Asyr where they kneeled in the snow. "Phew, not bad for a nice little mid day skirmish, right?" Her tone was light but the shakyness of adrenaline still coursed through her. She shivered, her clothes dripping wet and quickly freezing. Cyn considered in that moment conjuring fire to warm up but it was unfortunately only a short term solution.

Catching his breath, Enek glanced up at her and managed a weak smile. "Yeah, sure. I'm ready for a nap now though." Enek's stomach growled, protesting its hunger as Asyr helped him to his feet, wrapping his arm around her shoulder as she supported him.

Cyn chewed on her lip for a moment before nodding her head. Though externally she couldn't detect any damage, the feline had a feeling that they shouldn't risk it. With as tired as the group was already, even a simple bit of damage could easily turn into a serious matter. "I'm not supposed to do this except in emergencies but... I'll deal with the consequences later." She flipped back open her book and channeled the magic once again. "Hold on tight to each other, the first one is always the worst.."

Raising an eyebrow, Enek glanced at Asyr who shrugged. "The first one wha-uhhh!" The landscape seemed to stretch out before his vision to a boundeless infinity. Even the gravity seemed to give away as weightlessness took over, causing both him and Asyr to cling to one another. Just as quickly as the phenomenon had begun, it ended as the world itself came back into focus of a cozy room. Suddenly standing in this warmer environment instead of the frozen open they were previously, along with the returning sense of gravity sent Enek's head into a daze. Drained as he was, his vision darkened as he passed out again. The last image he had was of a bearded elven man entering the room with worry in his eyes.
