And now another Halloween story; this time a short and humorous one. Based the comic series NOC the Comic that I wrote for my friend FoxzombieJ, who is the one working on the series. For those that know, NOC is short for nocturnal.

Waking up at ten o'clock p.m. Boss Fox yawn as he made his way out of bed. He simultaneously scratched his head and back, "Another night, another nickel", he said. Walking over to his window, he went to see what was going tonight and gasped in surprise at what he saw. The streets were roaming with ghosts, ghouls, and demons; Boss Fox was wide eyed as he was shaking from such a sight. "I-I don't believe it, the whole town is full ghosts, ghouls, and demons." Rushing into the bathroom, he flashed some water into his face and then rushed back to the window to see if he was just dreaming, but they were still there. He then pinched himself on his arm to wake himself up, but they were still roaming the streets. "So, I'm not dreaming; this is real", a smirk appeared across the fox's muzzle, and he began chuckling; "I'm gonna be rich; with all these creatures out and about, people would pay a lot of money to be rid of them. I have to go tell Avery."

In the living room, Avery was laying back on the couch as he was drinking his coffee. His ears twitched upon hearing Boss Fox rushing in the living room; calling out his name between pants, "Oh, good night Boss", he spoke; what's up with you; you look as you've seen a ghost?" The fox grabbed the raccoon by his shoulders and started to rapidly shake him, "that's just it, Avery, I...er...mean we are gonna be rich. We've hit the gold mine." Calming himself down, Boss Fox ceased his shaking of the raccoon; Avery shook his head to stop his eyes from rolling. Looking at the fox, he was doubtful about the canine's words; "do I need to ask why or how; did you just come up with another way to con people out of their money?" Boss Fox shook his head, saying not this time as he dragged the raccoon to the nearby window, and made him look outside.

"Take a gander at that, Avery; the place is roaming with ghosts, ghouls, and demons. Don't you see; people will pay us handsomely if we get rid of these creatures for them." The raccoon rubbed his temple as he shook his head at the fox's ignorance, "hate to break it to ya, but those "creatures" aren't real; they're just kids in costumes." Boss Fox's happy and excited expression had disappeared and was quickly replaced with the look of annoyance; saying what was even the point to be dressing up as monsters. Avery answered the fox's question with saying that it was because tonight was Halloween. "Ah Halloween; what's Halloween?" The raccoon went wide eyed at Fox's new question; "what, you seriously don't know about Halloween, or trick-or-treating?" The fox shook his head; culminating in Avery to sigh.

"Halloween is a holiday where kids dress up in costumes of monsters, and go from house to house saying 'trick-or-treat'." Boss Fox nodded his head as he understood what the raccoon was saying, and then asked him what was the stipulation for saying trick-or-treat. "Well by doing so, the kids will get treats from the owners of those homes, and if not the kids will trick them by throwing eggs at their house, throwing toilet paper on their tress, or other acts of vandalism." Upon hearing about the kids receiving treats, Fox then asked if the treats that were given out were free, upon which Avery nodded his head. He then asked if anybody could dress up for Halloween, and Avery nodded his head again.

"That...is...genius; going door to door to get free treats and if not we can trick them", Fox laughed; "it's just liking conning, except you get treats instead of money." Avery placed a hand under his chin, "you know, when you think about, it is exactly like that." Fox couldn't contain his excitement now; he was as happy as a little kid, as he grabbed ahold of the raccoon's hand, "come on Avery, let's get dressed for Halloween and con the many people out their treats."

END!
