#3 of The Black Knight of Equestria

Last nights attack had all of Canterlot in an uproar but their was more excitement then fear going on about as everyone began talking about Stormwinds skill that night, many were afraid as well as amazed that the royal family could have such a member in their midst.

Prince Blueblood awoke to commence his daily routine of strutting about the castle allowing the visiting mares to follow and adore him, he proceeded to the courtyard knowing that it was tea time but noticed that the mares gathered their were not having tea, instead they were watching some kind of sporting event.

"Good morning ladies!"

"Shh! it's starting!"

"Hm?"

Blueblood made his way through to see his cousin surrounded by six guards each holding a bo-staff, after a few deep breaths Stormwind readied himself twirling his staff and going into a fighting stance before the guards came at him on all sides each getting knocked to the ground one by one and in the fight Blueblood saw his eyes completely focused as if he were in another world and in the blink of an eye the fight was over with the crowd applauding moments later Stormwind headed into town for some lunch but the events of last night left him wary.

Stopping by the local restaurant he ordered a simple coffee and cucumber sandwich keeping an eye on everypony knowing that changelings can easily be spotted when their eyes glow a flash of green giving off some of their magic until his focus was broken by a familiar voice.

"Room for one more?"

"Oh! Blueblood it's you."

"Waiter! I'll have the same as him. I see you're vigilant as ever."

"I....don't know what you mean."

"Oh come now cousin don't be coy."

Blueblood could tell his cousin was rattled after the attack by the changelings and deciding to be a good family member thought he could help him unwind with a little chat to pass the day.

During their chat Stormwind remembered that Rarity looked at him in discuss and wondered about that, though it was uneasy Blueblood explained that at last years grand galloping gala he treated her like a doormat and was humiliated in front of everyone but then a look of amazement came upon his face as he began to think about her.

"That Rarity...she has spirit and if given a second chance...I would marry that mare."

"Then you should tell her. If you have the guts to say that out loud then you should have the guts to say it to her up front."

"*Laughs!* I suppose you're right but she'd never want to hear a word from me."

"*chuckles* I suppose you're right."

The two cousins continued to enjoy their day and Stormwind felt a little more at ease until they at last returned to the castle as the sun set where a few servants awaited their arrival.

"Blueblood...is there any event coming up?"

"There's the Canterlot garden party. why?"

"No reason."

Saying nothing more Stormwind departed for the night for a little well deserved rest after getting to know a bit of his family.

Meanwhile in a wasteland far west of equestria Chrysalis had finally reported back to the one who hired her to steal the elements of harmony and her face was filled with pure terror the moment his voice filled the room.

"You dare return empty handed?"

"Please master-!"

"SILENCE!!"

The voice was bellowing and cold, some would say the voice of the grim reaper himself and as Chrysalis looked up sweating as two glowing blood red eyes pierced the darkness staring straight at her before she was zapped by them screaming in agonizing pain.

"I will not tolerate a second failure Chrysalis. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes...my master."

With that being said the mysterious figure closed his eyes slipping back into the shadows as Chrysalis left with her minions back to the hive where she could recover from her injuries.

The End.
