Elders' Tale

Ch. 1

By: Hitokriy

"Our story begins like most stories would: a happy young village, with happy townsfolk, all of which minded there own business. The quaint little village was tucked away up in the Appellation mountains, lying well above sea level. This peaceful village was home to maybe a thousand furs and humans, both living in peace, well for the most part peace, with one another. The binds that held them to such relaxing methods of living, was the general isolation that there environment held them in. Surrounded by tall cliffs and mountainous terrain, there was only one main road that lead into the village. The road lie to the north, heading through a shadowy valley before turning and weaving its way down the hillsides to villages and cities, well civilization in general waited all around. Many a tourist visited this area: buses, cabs, cars, vans always coming and going along the road. The area was a wonderful vacation spot, especially popular with the newly weds and all others who were looking for an undisturbed night alone.

"And that leads us into the story, for a quiet little family thought out this particular tourist trap.... trap... irony? Well this particular family consisted of our star for the evening, a young, rabbit by the name of Lisa. She was just below her twenties. She had the clearest hazel eyes that sparkled in most every light. Our dear Lisa's head was full of long blond hair, which she usually kept pulled back into a short ponytail, those golden locks flowed down to just past her shoulder blades. She was well groomed, always watching out for her looks in case that special someone would come alone, never wanted to be caught off guard. Her figure was well formed, slightly toned to the touch, but delicate to the eyes. Her curves? Well, one may say they were in all the right places. Her fur was a soft tan for the most part. The tan base leads down her arms and towards those human like hands, which the tan fur slowly melted away into a pure snow white coat, tracing all the rest of the way down the slender digits of her fingers. Back up some, the soft tan merged into a few more spots of white along her belly area, though which parts, not many were lucky enough to find out. I think it is safe to say that the majority of her chest and down, dropping in between her soft thighs which were a pure white in color much like those hands. Her chests were well formed, measuring in at perhaps a modest B cup. Now, those soft, pillow thighs... The soft white of her chest fur, merged calmly back into the gentle tan that dominated the rest of her form. The tan covered all the way down, stopping just above the young girl's ankles, where, much like the hand paws, the coloration merged into that soft, snow white," spoke an elderly woman wrapped head to two in a soft blue rode. The only area not covered was the woman's face, though she had her back turned to the ones that had been moving about behind where her chair was poised. Her voice echoed lightly in the greeting room of the hotel, but she seamed to not care who was listening, for her story was going to be told none-the-less.

Lifting her head slightly to look out towards the fire in front of her, she started to rock along the old wicker rocking char, which echoed a soft creak into the room as the fire sparked and jumped, casting illuminated shadows along the wall. The sound of her taking a deep breath rang through the silent room before she started to speak again. "The other two, her parents, were much more of the plain variety. Your run-of-the-mill rabbits to be exact. The father was a soft tan in color, seemingly the dominant gene for the daughter and the mother a crisp, angel white. They seamed like a happy family, at least on the outside they did. Inside, as with most families, there were a few troubles, disputes and mishaps that have come to pass during the years of marriage. We won't be going into much detail about that, though, let me tell you. It's none of our business what those two do for they are of no use in our story. Lisa is the main one we need to focus on.

"It was an early spring this year, temperatures climbing to the mid sixties as early as May. This made the usually snow covered valley village spring to life with new growth and development. Newly formed waterfalls flow from the tall cliffs surrounding the peaceful village and gather in small streams, which in turn, made there way lower down the mountain.

"Only a few cars had started coming into the town, a bit too early for the major tourism season... In the back left seat of one the vehicles making its way down the road rests our dear Lisa and all of her unsuspecting beauty. Just in front of her, sat her mother, and to the left of her mother, her father drove the red SUV.

"They were just pulling in through the valley, the high cliffs shadowing the vehicle as it traveled parallel to the spring creek that ushered the freshly melted sown down the mountain. Lisa sat there in a soft blue t-shirt, the words ‘Daddy's Girl' painted along the front in red acrylic, cursive writing. Along her lower form, she wore a pair of sparkling blue jeans, ones that seamed to have been bathed in glitter for fashion purposes.

"The small family made there way into the quaint little village, passing a few small gift shops, restaurants, a movie complex and the major's office. All of the building built of logs... Down closer to the middle of the street, they came across there destination, one of the few hotels in the town, which were all spread out across the place. It was a quaint little lodge, build of logs just like the other buildings in the town. But it was higher, standing at about four or so stories, it was easily the tallest building in the village.

"They drove down along the main road until just passing by the building. The red SUV turns off to the right and onto a small, one lane road leading into a small portion of the property that was available only to the guests to park in. The three got out of the car, standing to stretch for a few moments before taking the luggage in toe and heading quickly for the front lobby of the hotel.

"They made there way in through the sliding glass doors, into the main lobby. It was a smallish room... Right in front of the door, in a small island, rests the two receptionists that were working this evening. The family made there way up towards one of them, a middle aged male leopard with fur as black as night.

"As would be told, our little Lisa started her wondering while the older furs talked business and accommodations. She stepped her way past the kiosk island in the middle of the lobby, and ventured back towards the glow of a soft fire in the back corner. The room was dimly lit, seaming to radiate the feel of a homely, relaxing gathering area. The girl made her way in, glancing along the wall as she followed the glow of the fire danced magically along the walls.

"She could easily hear the soft chatter of an elderly lady speaking, seaming to talk to herself as she sat along one of the old wicker chairs in the room. She was propped just in front of the fire, enjoying the warmth and the comfort it offered in her old age.

"The elderly woman was talking about a hidden spring, heated by the constant glare of the sun. This particular spring rests just slightly higher in the mountains, easily attainable by a small natural path hidden in plain sight just off behind that very hotel that they were staying. Lisa found herself listening carefully to the elderly lady's words, as the rest of the noise of the lobby seamed to fade into nothingness, the words this older lady was speaking seaming to have been whispered in her ears. The words painted a picture clear as day in her mind, down to every last detail.

"The old lady continued, speaking in a slightly raspy voice 'Tis' the most secluded and luxurious of all the springs this time of the year. No one ever goes there, though, no they don't... The plants oh so lonely as they breath new life in the air, intoxicating aromas wafting in the soft breeze flowing down the mountain slopes. The water shimmering as the sun rays reflect off the crystal clear essence.' She continued on, describing the beauty of the place holding poor Lisa's attention for a good ten minutes before her father stepped up, breaking the daydreaming gaze she had and ushered the girl up to the next floor where there room was.

"As soon as she had unpacked, Lisa quickly made her way back rushing into the lobby to catch the end of the lady's story, but she was gone. It had only been ten minutes at most, where could she have gone?

"The rocking chair still had it's back and forth momentum as if she had been sitting there just moments earlier. Lisa glanced about the room, wondering where the elderly lady had moved off to, though the room was still, nothing moved except the mythic dance of the fire cast shadows along the walls.

"The sound of a door slamming shut echoed through the empty, dimly lit public area which caused Lisa to jump and let out a soft eek in surprise. She turned, the sound coming from the hall she had emerged from, the same hall that lead to all the many private guest rooms on the first floor. The young girl shook her head slightly, letting her heart rest for a moment before turning to run the way of the sound originated from.

"Quickly, she made her way towards the hall, looking to see if she could catch the old lady. She ran down the hall, passing door after door on both sides of her, one passing and then another as the young rabbit gained speed. She had to catch her... the story had to be finished! Where the hell did she go? Someone that old can just run away! I must know where this place is! Lisa thought to herself, the long corridor making for more of a nuisance than assistance at this point.

"These doors were different, they closed quietly as to keep noise down to a minimum at night for sleeping guests. This was a loud door, perhaps an .... there! She saw the door at the end of the hall, a bit of the left over water resting along the welcome mat from outside.

"She nods lightly, knowing that was what made the sound and quickly ran over to it, opening it and looking around. There was no one, nothing at all outside. Looking out the door, the first that that caught her eye was a a small hole at the base of the cliff just across the empty lot...

"There... she though to herself, The springs through there! Lisa thought to herself a she stared ahead at the hole, feeling something odd in the back of her mind. She remembered this exact image, as if the story engraved it into the back of her mind and the mere sight sparked the memory to come to life." The elderly lady stooped, staring straight ahead into the fire as the a few members of the crowd closed in a bit around her, waiting for her to continue the story.
