It was sunset,Sonic and his friends ran quickly along the beach promenade to the restaurant where they would be working as waiters. The teens were. Tails rode on Sonics back trying to hide his bare chest. The teens were shirtless and wearing jeans. They soon arrived at the restaurant, Sonic stopped and placed Tails gently on the sandy ground."Time to get down bro," he said.Tails covered his small chest with his bushy tails. The restaurant had a patio overlooking the beach. Some customers watched some girls playing beach volleyball. The red neon sign over the twin glass doors had a picture of a young man without a shirt and the name Pecs flashing across his chest. Sonic opened the doors and the boys quietly went in the dimly lit restaurant. Inside, there was a pool in the middle of the room and it was surrounded by tables with incense candles. The pool had a fountain with a merman statue in the middle.

The teens went to the kitchen. Amy saw the boys and greeted them. "Hello boys," she said "Your on time for work". Amy was wearing a pink bikini with the word pecs on the bikini top. "And your shirtless," she said smiling. Amy especially like looking at Sonic's chest . She grabbed some packages from a table "Here," she said handing them each a package wrapped in cellophane. "Go into the bathroom and change your clothes." She pointed to the back of the kitchen.

Tails looked at the package "What is this?" he asked Amy. "That is your uniform," she said. Tails opened the package and unfolded a pair of short shorts. "This is a uniform!" he said, "It's less than a swim suit!" Amy smiled and kneeled in front of him.

"You'll look so cute in it," she said rubbing his furry little chest. "Now go in there with the other boys and get changed," she slapped Tails gently on his rear. Tails walked slowly into the bathroom. He removed his jeans and put on the shorts.The shorts barely covered his thighs and on the back was the word pecs. When he sat, the shorts rode up exposing his rear. "I can't go out there in this." he said. Shadow looked at himself and placed his arms his hips "I kinda like the shorts." Shadow said admiring himself in the mirror.

"Come on you'll get used to it." Sonic said placing his hand on the young teen's furry shoulder." Tails blushed "It was bad enough when I had to take off my shirt and get measured by Rouge," he said "But now I have to go out into a room full of strange women and get stared at." Tails only took his shirt off to go swimming or when he worked on the Tornado X. It was easier to clean his fur than his shirts. When it was really hot, Tails would take off his shirt, but never in front of any girls. Sonic smiled "You'll like it someday," Sonic said with a smile. Tails sighed looking at his feet."Lets go to work," Sonic said.

Tail's shyness only made him look more adorable to the customers. Tails would look down at his bare feet and cover his chest with his hands, "Hey shy guy," one young woman said sweetly. "What's wrong cutie?" another said trying to encourage him to remove his hands. "Would you remove your hands if I gave you $5?" she asked. Tails reluctantly removed his hands from his chest. The woman smiled while looking at him "you shouldn't be shy," she said. The woman gave Tails $5.The customers smiled and cheered. A young girl said "Your cute," then she giggled. Sonic and the other boys were getting jealous of the attention Tails was getting." Maybe I should pretend to be shy," Silver said.

"What a cute little chest," a customer said opening her purse. Tails rubbed his chest nervously. "Here sweetie, " she said handing him a $10 bill. "I hope this makes you fell better," Tails smiled "thank you," he said quietly. The customer smiled and got up from the table. "Now that's what I want to see," she said The woman. She gave him another $10. "See you tomorrow night," she said with a giggle.

"I can't believe that fox's luck," Knuckles said "I only made $10 this evening." Sonic smiled "Maybe your not as cute as Tails,"he said. "Or maybe your not as young as Tails," Silver said. The boys laughed. Knuckles turned red with anger. Other girls commented on the teen fox "Great body," a woman at the salad bar said. A young teen asked "Can I take your picture?" Tails blushed "Sure," he said. The girl giggled.

Tails was walking near the pool when he thought he saw something in the water. He walked to the edge and looked down. "hello," a voice said. Tails looked starigh ahead and saw someone swimming toward him. Tails stepped back, the person swam over and climbed out of the water. He was a boy Tail's age with a small thin body and small but muscular chest with was covered in red freckles, His hair was red. "My name is Christopher Thorndyke," he introduced himself "I am a swimmer here at the restaurant".

Tails shook his hand. "A swimmer?" he said.

"My job here is to just swim in the pool every night," he said "with my friend Manic." Chris pointed to a green hedgehog in a blue swim suit by the fountain. "We give the customers something to look at." he said. "just like you."

"And sometimes," he said "the customers throw coins into the pool then Manic and I dive for them."

"I'd like to do that," Tails said "it would be easier and I like to swim."

"Chris smiled "Well maybe Rouge will schedule you as a swimmer next week," he said "she rotates our positions all the time."

"I was a waiter last week," Chris said. Tails smiled. "I got to get back in the pool," Chris said. "Manic needs me." He dove back into the water.

At the end of the evening, the boys counted their tips. Tails was the winner, He made the most in tips. "Acting shy," Shadow said.

"Nice job," Rouge said to Tails. The boy looked at her. "Could I ask something?" he said. "Anything," Rouge said placing her hand on his head.

"Can I be a swimmer?" he asked.
